This tour was fantastic from the time of pick up to the time of drop off. Our tour guide Paco was amazing!!! He was knowledgeable, kind, and had a fantastic sense of humor. The driver Jorge was a great driver and was engaging as well. And then there was our photographer Lucho! He has amazing talents and always ensured that everyone had pictures that they would treasure for ever. The price for all the pictures was only $40 which was much less than other tours and I had the pictures emailed to me by the end of the day (still waiting various days for another tour I went on with a different company). The turtles were majestic to watch. There were several other groups out in the water as well and at times were a bit too close, but Paco did a good job moving us along to stay in our own group and ensured that we had multiple opportunities to see the turtles. The cenote was just as fantastic! One thing I wished I had was my camera. The photographer does not go into the cenote with the group. There are pictures taken at the opening in the water but due to lighting the photographer does not travel with the group into the cave. If you have a camera that can get wet or have a case for one I would recommend that you bring it with you into the cenote as I was kicking myself for not doing it. It was absolutely breathtaking. We saw no one else in the cenote outside of our group. It was the perfect number of people...small with 7 of us. The empanadas that were given at the end were amazingly good, but you only get two so maybe bring some snacks if you are a hungry person. I would recommend this to everyone and anyone. It has been the best tour I have done here in Mexico so far.

We (two families of four) booked a private half day tour that included snorkeling with the sea turtles & visiting a cenote - all of it was awesome! Our guide Diana was so knowledgeable and great with our kids (encouraging nervous ones & answering endless questions). Guille took amazing pictures so that we could be fully present & enjoy ourselves. Neftali drove us safely & kept an eye on all our belongings so we could relax. We all came away from this tour having learned a lot and feeling like we were in great hands. There are a lot of tour groups you can choose from in the area but Ocean Tours is fantastic - I would highly recommend them!

Jorge was amazing! The turtle tour was kinda crowded once we got into the water at Akumal. Jorge made sure we were aware of the rules of the area and that we were comfortable in the water. He was extremely knowledgeable about the turtles and the sea life in Akumal Bay. We were getting discouraged because when he would spot a turtle, other tour groups would swoop in and had no regard for anyone else. Jorge’s counterpart spotted a turtle and gave the sign, 🤙🏻 most of our group was able to see the turtle. The area has changed a lot since the last time my wife and I freely swam with the turtles 10+ years ago. It was still a wonderful experience! The Cenote was pretty cool! Water was COLD! But it was 100% worth the cold water! Highly recommend this trip!

What a fabulous tour! We had a group of 21 and took two vans. Both Diana and Juan were excellent guides. They went out of their way to make sure the littles (aged 4) and those who couldn’t swim had a way to see the sea turtles safely. They took great care with our son!
They shared a lot of great background information while in the shuttles. Diego, the photographer, took fantastic photos that the entire family has been raving about. We saw multiple turtles while snorkeling, loved our swim in the cenote, and finished the day with an authentic lunch at Xtun. We did an early tour and were back to the resort by the afternoon for pool time.
Also my husband forgot water shoes, and they were well prepared for extra. They also have cool long sleeve tshirts for sale if you want some extra coverage during the day.

Amazing experience ! Our guide Caesar was so kind and funny (loved being part of his salad as a French crouton) made us feel like a “fake family”!
We saw squids, sting rays and sea turtles, plus the cenote was beautiful.
Got picked up from our hotel directly and we were served very good empanadas for lunch.
All in all, I highly recommend this tour !

We LOVED our Ocean Tours trip with Nico and Karla! We were in a small group (10 guests total) and had a wonderfully snorkeling experience with the turtles at Akumal. We saw three huge turtles and a couple of rays, along with lots of fish. Our younger child (age 6) was afraid to snorkel, but Nico was super understanding and just pulled him around in a life preserver float.
The second part of the trip was to a beautiful underground cave (cenote) where we swam and walked through the caverns. It was just magical. The cenote was remote and we were the only people there for most of the visit. We enjoyed the trip through the remote part of the jungle. Nico’s background in archeology came through in his comments throughout the tour. He is engaging, knowledgeable and lots of fun.
Karla took fabulous pictures one both parts of the trip, so our memories are well preserved. We were so grateful to both Nico and Karla for making this an amazing and special part of our trip to Mexico.

It was a very good half day tour. Pick-up was punctual and our guide Luisa Sanchez was really nice and helpful. We had an hour to swim in Akumal Bay where we saw 4 turtles, 3 sting rays, squids and many fish. After that we got a little snack. Then we drove about 0,5h to the Cenote. The cenote was amazing because it was underground. I had a great day!

Our excursion started out on time with Marcello and George (our driver). We made a stop along they way in Playa to pick up our photographer. We did not know that this was included and our pictures were just gorgeous which were available for purchase after the tour. This was a wonderful experience. We were lucky enough to see a spider monkey at the Cenote and got great photos of it. I recommend wearing a wet suit as the water in the Cenote is quite cool. We experienced multiple sea turtles on our dive. Our guide was very informative about the Mayan culture and definitely kept us entertained. You start out with the sea turtle excursion by getting prepared, informed and boarding a boat to take you out to the water. As a reminder, try to go on a calmer day instead of a windy day to avoid seasickness. It was very well managed, you got what you paid for. The lunch at the Cenote was fabulous and very well prepared. However the ride to the Cenote seemed to be a bit long but it was worth it. On your visit to the Yucatan, you will definitely not be dissappointed with this excursion. We had a blast. We did pay for a private tour which was even better. And George, our driver, he is the best driver from Cancun to Playa and back.

This was the highlight of our trip! We saw so many turtles and the Cenote was like nothing we had done before. We were served lunch at the end of our tour and the food was delicious. Our guide Diego was super knowledgeable, personable, and a pleasure to be around. Alan, our photographer, was also a great guy and there was no way we could refuse the beautiful pictures he took. Enrique was our driver and did a fabulous job keeping us all safe even with crazy traffic. It was an awesome experience!

We had a fantastic time snorkeling to see turtles and swimming in cenotes. It was my first time snorkeling and Raul was great in helping me figure things out. Tony took amazing photos (the best pics of our trip, totally worth it!) and our driver Paco was great. I want to recognize Raul for speaking Spanish, English AND German to make sure everyone in our group knew what we were doing. He was also very entertaining and shared lots of information about the sites.. Highly recommend!
