About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- santinod3180 contributionsAmazing tourOscar Sanchez was amazing! So knowledgeable and taught us so much. Food was amazing and the entire trip was a great experience. I would recommend this to anyone looking to do a private tour. No lines, no shuttle from resort to resort, was back in time to hit the pool at the Wyndham!!!!!Written September 11, 2024
- Christina B0 contributionsChichen Itza, a tour worth taking! We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Our guide Eric was excellent and really informative, we all learned a lot. Getting a private tour was totally worth it. Chichen Itza was amazing, our dip in the cenote was cool and refreshing after our tour, and lunch was exceptional! Highly recommend My Quest Concierge and our tour guide Eric. He went above and beyond in explaining the Mayan culture.Written September 11, 2024
- Melanie L0 contributionsPerfect couples dayWhat a amazing experience! Abraham was our driver/ guide for the day and he was absolutely amazing. Communication was excellent with both the tour guide company and Abraham. We were promptly picked up from our hotel at 7 AM and he even arrived a bit early letting us know he had arrived and would be waiting for us. The van was so comfortable and clean with a cooler full of cold water. We got to the ruins early right when they opened before all the tour busses. Abraham was so knowledgeable and guided us around being mindful of keeping us in the shade whenever possible because dang it was hot even at 8 am. We then hopped in the nice air conditioned van and drove about 30 min to a beautiful cenote where we took a refreshing swim and took some amazing pictures. Abraham ordered lunch ahead for us and also had some amazing appetizers ordered for us. After we were done at the cenote we headed to lunch which was fabulous. We then headed back only to be caught in a heck of a rain storm. Abraham handled the drive like a pro and got us back safe to our hotel around 4-4:30. Everyone had an amazing time and it was the perfect day and highlight of our trip!Written September 4, 2024

- destinationxtrme0 contributionsExperience Mayan Archeological Wonders with an Amazing Company and Guide (IsraelThis tour was one of our most memorable and we are so grateful to Israel for being our amazing guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the history and culture of the Mayan people and expertly meshed education with fun and adventure. We traveled with our 15 year old daughter (no further explanation necessary) and Israel kept her engaged and involved in learning about pre-Columbian life. The price is well worth the experience, personalized itinerary and local hospitality. Israel made sure that we got to Chichen Itza early before the extreme heat and crowds and showed us all of the important archeological wonders and explained so much of the detail and artistry that we would have never recognized or discovered otherwise. Ek Balam was a wonder unto itself and Israel opened our eyes to the uniqueness of that experience. He climbed the ruins with us and showed us all of the wonders and secrets of that remarkable Mayan site. He always had cold waters on hand and kept us in shaded areas while he imparted his vast knowledge of early Mayan history. As a bonus - Israel was the best photographer ever and made sure to get the best angles and best shots to document our adventure. The lunch was delicious and in the lovely town of Bacalar across from a beautiful Spanish colonial style church. Finally, the cenote was one of my daughter’s favorite parts of the trip and Israel waited patiently while we spent well over an hour exploring and relaxing in its waters. The two plus hour drives to and from the archaeological sites flew by in relaxing comfort with Israel’s great music and fun banter. Do not hesitate to book- other reviews mention great guides - but if you are lucky, you will get to experience the wonders of early Mayan culture and life with Israel.Written August 25, 2024
- lindseyw2710 contributionsOnly way to see Chichén Itzá!!!This tour was worth every single penny! Trust me! Carlos was our guide and he was amazing. He was so sweet, funny, accommodating & knowledgeable. My daughter and I both miss him already! I did my research and knew it was imperative to get there as soon as Chichén Itzá opened to avoid the crowds, and that is exactly what we did. We walked right in and passed a bunch of people waiting in line, and got tons of good pics before the crowds made it in. I also wanted to do the day on my schedule & not be chained to a company’s timeline. It was super hot, so we ended up leaving Chichén Itzá after only 45 minutes. I told my daughter that if we would’ve been with a group of 25+ people and stuck there for hours, I would’ve cried or passed out or both lol. But we got to come and go at each location whenever we wanted! Literally priceless. The cenote was AMAZING and way better than the cenote we swam in at the adventure park. The spot we went for lunch was super cute and amazing food. Carlos knows everyone there, and we felt really VIP being able to come in and sit down and have our food ready for us. Then we walked around Valladolid for a bit, but again got too hot so we left! I would 200% only book with this company if I ever want to tour the area again. Thanks Carlos for such an amazing day!Written August 24, 2024
- haleyhW3656TK0 contributionsAmazing Chichen Itza tour with AranzaHighly recommend this private tour. Their communication is excellent & we had the pleasure of spending the day with our amazing tour guide, Aranza. He picked us up at our hotel on time and explained the planned stops for the day to us. He was not only very knowledgeable about Chichen Itza, but he had a passion for it! He offered us cold water throughout the day, he took pictures of us at Chichen Itza and the cenote & these are memories we will have forever. Aranza was an excellent driver, very experienced guide, friendly and pointed key items out to us in books and his ipad so we could see other visuals that you can't get from a standard tour. We would absolutely book again and we would love to do another tour with Aranza when we come back to Cancun! Tour: The drive went by really quickly because Aranza shared a lot of info with us and answered any questions we had. We were able to stop for a restroom break. We arrived at chichen Itza and went right in when it was not even busy as we beat the crowds (made it great for pictures without crowds). After a few hours exploring Chichen Itza, you'll go to Valladolid for an amazing lunch or cenote (he let us choose which order). The lunch was very good and filling. The cenote was very refreshing and we got right in and had plenty of time to swim around & jump in from rope & platform. You then change into your dry clothes and head back to your hotel. Definitely bring a hat/umbrella, fan and sunscreen as it is very hot and you will want to see everything. Towel, extra clothes & gratuities & souvenirs/snack $ & comfortable shoes .Written August 22, 2024
- 454zacharyz0 contributionsA perfect, educational excursion for our Cancun vacationWe booked the private Chichen Itza tour, that included visiting the Oxman cenote and lunch at Valladolid. Overall, amazing experience. Carlos was an amazing guide, calling out lots of rich detail throughout the ruins that we would have surely missed if we had tried to explore it on our own. The tour defaults to start at 7am, but we were asked if we wanted to get started earlier at 6:30am. Due to the time difference with home, that was 4:30am for us, but we said yes. And we're so happy we did (seriously, you should too!). At that time, the trip to Chichen Itza is about 2 1/4 hours. With the time zone change, we got there right before 8am, when it opens. As a result, we got tons of amazing photos with no other tourists in them. It was a tiny bit cooler since it was early in the morning (but only a tiny bit... it was August...). When we left Chichen Itza, we realized what a good choice we made -- we left our parking spot right in front of the entrance, and saw the huge line of tour busses waiting in line to get in. Seems like the later you go, the longer you spend waiting to park. If your guide offers to go early, say yes! The perks of our early start continued when we went to Oxman cenote, and were two of six people there. Again, great opportunities for photos (Carlos took lots of great ones while we were swimming, and shared them with us after). Plus we had plenty of space to swim around without bumping into other people. We did some investigation into the different cenotes, and which tour options go to which locations. Visiting Oxman cenote was one of the reasons we went with My Quest. The underground vibe with a small opening to the sky looked cool in pictures, and was better in person! The rope swing was also a fun touch. Overall, this was a great experience. Before we went, I had some doubts about the entire thing, and I'd been thinking about a Chichen Itza-only experience. It turns out, a private tour with My Quest that started early in the morning was the efficient experience I'd been hoping for, while still taking advantage of a few stops after the long drive. I highly recommend My Quest for the Chichen Itza tour!Written August 21, 2024

- Heidi_Stream0 contributionsLoved the turtles! Tulum was HOT!!!!We had an excellent morning with our guide Oscar. He picked us up in a beautiful, comfortable, and clean Mercedes. I wanted to go to Tulum first because I knew it would be really hot but he recommended we go swim with the turtles first because they clear out pretty quickly after the crowds get there. I'm so glad we took his advice! We saw SOOOOOOO many turtles of all sizes, beautiful fish, and even a few sting rays. My husband, myself, and our turtle guide were pretty much the only people in the water while we were snorkeling with the turtles from 8-9am. As we were leaving, there was literal bus-loads of people coming to snorkel with the turtles. The peaceful time we got to spend with the turtles by ourselves was magical. Go early! After snorkeling we headed to Tulum. Oscar is a certified guide and he was fantastic. He knew a ton about the history of the archeological site. The ruins were amazing; perched on the top of a hill overlooking crystal clear blue waters. Oscar said the original people described the area as "hell," and after spending over an hour in/around Tulum, I can understand why. We were there from 9:30-11am touring the ruins and the shops nearby. We're from South Texas where we regularly have high humidity and temperatures over 100 degrees the whole summer. Tulum was excruciatingly hot! Unbelievably, indescribably HOT! Did I mention it was HOT!!!!!!!?????? SOOOOOOOO HOOTTTTTTTT! Seriously, I almost passed out, and there was a young girl at the front entrance to the ruins that actually did pass out and medics were there to help her. Thankfully, Oscar had ice cold waters ready for us in the car when we got back, otherwise that might have been me also. Oscar gave us plenty of time after our tour to wander around the shops, and then we made it back to our resort by noon. If I could change anything I think I might have done the tour to include the cenotes afterwards because that would have really helped to cool us down after the ruins, but other than that we had a perfect morning with Oscar!Written August 19, 2024

- pinapapaya0 contributionsBest day of our summer! My family of four (two adults, two kids) truly enjoyed this experience and would see this destination no other way. It was our first ever visit to Mexico, and we wanted a safe, secure, hands-off experience so that we could relax and really take in the sights and places. The cost was absolutely worth it. Israel, our driver and guide, was a blast to spend the day with. We agreed to a 6:30 pick up at our hotel near Akumal. The pickup time suggested in the itinerary was 7, but the earlier the better to beat the crowds. The vehicle was similar to a Sprinter van, and was clean and comfortable. The kids napped on the ride and we chatted with Israel for a good portion of the drive about the area’s history and the culture of the Maya. There was a gas station bathroom/coffee/snack stop on the way. Israel explained that Chichen Itza sees approx 30,000 visitors a day. I’d estimate that we were among the first few hundred there (even before many of the local vendors had set up for the day). He parked, grabbed the entry tickets for us, ushered us through the entry gates— we didn’t need to think about anything. Walking around with him and having him point out interesting details was invaluable. The tour focused on the area around El Castillo and the game court. Lots of cool additional information about trade and culture helped us to imagine what that amazing and formidable city must have been like in its prime. By the end of the tour, we were HOT and tired (bring hats, wear sunscreen and light colored clothing, sneakers/Teva-like sandals will make the cut for walking around). Bottles of cold water were available for us in the van. By the time we drove out of the parking area, the line of tour busses was LONG; there was no line at all when we had arrived earlier. Next stop at Cenote Oxman was the perfect follow-up. It was cool, refreshing and gorgeous. We planned to wear our bathing suits under our clothing at Chichen Itza so that we were ready to swim. We brought our own towels and undergarments to change into afterwards and the changing rooms/bathroom facilities were clean and well-maintained. Israel graciously watched our belongings while we descended the steps to swim. Water shoes/sandals recommended for the walk down the stairs, but not necessary for swimming. The Cenote Oxman property had what looked like a vendor selling local food products (maybe honey? I wish I took a closer look). For me, the perfect ending to the day was the excellent meal and a local beer at the restaurant in Valladolid. Israel sent in our lunch orders while we swam. The food was EXCELLENT. I have high standards for food and the all-inclusive resort food wasn’t making the cut. The meal at Paladar de Cura was the culinary highlight of our trip to Mexico. I know there are plenty of fantastic food opportunities to be had in Mexico, but we just didn’t have the time to venture out more for good, authentic meals. I had shrimp tacos on house made blue corn tortillas and the most phenomenal coconut ice cream that I’ve ever eaten (drinks and dessert were not included in the tour cost, so plan to have some cash on hand for delicious homemade juices, local/regional beer, cocktails, desserts. I honestly would have paid more for an additional meal just to try another menu option). I thought that we might see a bit more of Valladolid, which was a somewhat sleepy town with lovely colonial vibes. By that time, we were happy, full, and exhausted. Israel got us back to the resort quickly and safely. He was really just so capable and we felt like we were in great hands and are so grateful. Don’t hesitate to book this tour!Written August 16, 2024

The only word I have to describe this tour is excellent. Our group was in Mexico for 7 days and this was by far the best day we had!!! We booked the tour for 4 adults and 1 child who was 7 years old. Right from the beginning communication with this company was on point and extremely accommodating. Our tour guide, Eric, picked us up directly from our hotel and was immediately funny, upbeat, energized and ready to go. The van was modern and clean with great AC. Our hotel was about a 2 hour drive and the whole drive Eric was giving us the history knowledge of the area and the Mayan culture. We then stopped by Tulum, where we walked the ruins and once again Eric taught us so much about Tulums history. The above ground cenote was beautiful and the water was refreshing. The under ground cenote was absolutely breath taking. Our guide was taking pictures the entire time which he sent to us at the end. I can’t say enough amazing things about this company, and our outstanding tour guide. Anytime my friends, family or I come to Mexico I will be requesting Eric directly.

I am from Las Vegas so my standards for good customer service are high. I hate overly touristy things and this was not cheesy it was 100 % authentic and special.
Manuel was our tour guide. He arrived promptly to our resort consulted with us about what are interests/goals were for the trip. From there he made it completely customized.
At the ruins it was the perfect mix of education and fun. We went off the normal tour and got learn how the mayans used the buildings to tell what time of year it was.
We ate delicious tacos at a off the beaten path restaurant. The cenotes were not over crowded and Manuel took amazing photos and videos. The cenotes dive was an other worldly experience that you must do in order to properly experience them. 10 out of 10 would recommend:)

This tour was the absolute highlight of our trip to Riviera Maya! Miguel was such an amazing guide who is so knowledgeable about The Mayans and cenotes. (He went to school for 4 years to become a licensed Mayan ruins tour guide!) He picked our group up on time from our resort in a nice air conditioned van and had a full cooler of water for us throughout the day. He took us on a guided tour of Tulum ruins before the crowds got there and then took us to two amazing and different cenotes. He guided us through a cave cenote while snorkeling with flashlights and then we got to enjoy an open air one where we had a lot of fun jumping and diving off the platforms. To top it all off, Miguel took us to a local taco spot to enjoy delicious food in an authentic atmosphere. We had 11 people in our group who ranged in age from an infant to a 73 year old…Miguel catered to all of our needs and we had the BEST day! We highly recommend this trip over the other excursions and tour companies we used from our resort. Thank you Miguel for an awesome experience we will never forget!

The VIP Private Tulum tour is one you can’t miss! Our guide, Jonathan, far exceeded our expectations with his extensive knowledge of history of the area.
He picked us up from our hotel in the morning, and our first stop was to see the ruins. He waited in line to get our tickets and guided us through the area, stopping to provide contextual, interesting information about what we were seeing. He then took us to a cave where we snorkeled through dark crevices all with his guidance. It was so much fun!
Our third stop was to a cenote - one he knew would not be overly crowded so we had the whole thing to ourselves for some time!
To end the tour, Jonathan took us to a delicious local spot for a late lunch.
I would definitely recommend booking this tour. Jonathan was always asking to take our pictures with our phones so we would be sure to capture the memories. He even had a waterproof case so we could take underwater pictures!

This tour company is very organized and communicated very well via email and WhatsApp before, during and after our excursion. They were also very happy to substitute one of the stops on our tour with a different option for no extra charge. My wife and I did Tulum, a cave Cenote, then Yal-Ku lagoon. This gave us three entirely different experiences all near to each other.
We would HIGHLY recommend paying the extra money to do any of their private VIP tours. The personalized attention is incredible. It’s like touring with a close friend. Our guide was Eric. He is a history teacher, diving expert and very educated in Mayan culture and language. He also made learning very fun and interactive. We learned far more about the Yucatán in 5 hours with Eric than through our multiple trips to the area! Also, my wife was a little nervous about snorkeling in a cave, but Eric set her at ease right away. At the end of the activities, he took us to a small place where the locals eat for incredible ceviche and tacos.
The whole tour feels like you’re an “insider” getting the VIP treatment!

This was our second private tour with this company and with our wonderful guide Eric Danny De La Cruz! Like before, he was punctual and full of positive, happy energy and made sure our entire experience was easy, stress free and memorable. He drove us safely to the Tulum ruins and after to two amazing cenotes that was like entering into another world. Eric made sure we beat the crowds and took pictures for us which freed us to just enjoy it all. We were never rushed and got to experience everything at our own pace. Best of all was his vast knowledge of Mayan history that made the entire experience something we will never forget. Thank you Eric!

We chose this company/tour because we really wanted to just be with our own group and I appreciated how detailed their descriptions were. Prices were not hidden and it was very clear what was included.
This was a fantastic experience beginning to end. Before I booked, I had several questions and those were answered quickly and thoroughly by email. (Shoutout to Damian!)
Our guide Abraham picked us up from our resort in time and we were well ahead of the crowds at Tulum. We had a clean, comfortable car. I loved that all of the entrance fees are included and we did not have to worry about a thing. Abraham tailored his tour to us and what we were interested in, which was an unexpected bonus, (and he did it with no advance warning)
At the cenotes (which were amazing!) Abraham had a camera so we could leave everything in the car and concentrate on having fun. (He took great pictures and videos). As advertised, they had the snorkel equipment, life jackets and bottled water. He did a great job guiding us through the cave, which was one of those never to be forgotten experiences.
We chose to stop for lunch after the activities. Abraham recommended a few places and the one we went to was very reasonably priced and delicious. Abraham also helped with any language barriers with the menu!
This is a great tour and I wouldn’t change a thing. I highly recommend this tour, this company and our very skilled guide, Abraham! I will absolutely book through My Quest Concierge again. Perfect choice

My partner and I booked this tour with Arnie who was a terrific guide, he went above and beyond with providing so much history and had a great sense of respect and love for the Mexican culture which brought me closer as well. The day started early, around 7:30am which I would def recommend to beat the busy crowds, then we headed toward the Tulum ruins which was absolutely stunning. We wrapped that up around an hour in and headed to the first cenote which was very cool, beautiful location and had a “cave diving” experience which was awesome. He provided snorkel gear and flashlights which was a nice touch to be able to see in the dark. We headed to the second cenote which was exposed to natural light and was very secluded, we swam and saw beautiful fish. The tour didn’t end there, he was kind enough to bring us to a local lunch spot which was delicioso! We appreciate you, Arnie!

We booked a custom private 1/2 day tour to visit the Tulum ruins and a cenote. Our resort also offered excursions of this type but we found it a much better deal to book ourselves. After researching we decided on My Quest were glad we did. Communication was excellent from the beginning and they were more than happy to customize a tour to our preferences. Our guide was JP who was fantastic! He picked us up right at the front door of our resort and had us on the road early in order to avoid crowds and beat the heat at the ruins. He gave us a very thorough tour, even taking photos and getting us in the the best spots for those. By the time we left the ruins the crowds were beginning to arrive…. Definitely go early!
For the cenote we chose Taak Bi Ha. JP took care of everything and gave us a great tour of this as well. It was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed this unique experience.
After snorkeling the cenote JP was kind enough to take us to local taco restaurant for lunch. Our resort was all inclusive so we wanted some authentic food. The ceviche and tacos were delicious!
We had a great tour with JP and would definitely use My Quest again. We are not “bus tour” types and much prefer the personalized experience. Well done!

Our private guide JP was fantastic and this tour experience was life changing! An early arrival to the ruins of Tulum allowed us to beat the crowds and the heat. JP was very knowledgeable about the history of the ruins and the culture of the Mayans. He’ll also take some great photos too! After our time at the ruins, JP took us to a local restaurant (Taqueria Honorio) in downtown Tulum for some amazing local cuisine. After lunch, JP brought us to our first cenote, Taak Bi Ha, which was a beautiful underground cavern and a popular diving spot. JP led us on a snorkeling tour of this cenote and the underground river, which was one of my fondest memories on our vacation. Our third and final destination was another cenote, Xunaan-Ha, which is an open cenote with a couple of platforms to jump into the clear blue water and plenty of room to relax and soak in the surrounding beauty. JP provided us with safe and comfortable transportation to all of our locations and I would highly recommend booking this experience with him again.

We will be staying in playa del Carmen. Can we get picked up there?
Also, does this tour visit the same cenotes as the VIP cenote tour? We are trying to decide between the two

We are staying at Amansala Tulum. Is it possible to get tour starting from here?
Written February 10, 2022
I would suggest reaching out to My Quest Private Concierge Private Tours directly via email or phone number using Whats App. While in Playa most communication to us was through Whats App. You can search Trip Advisor for their page and contact info. That may be the quickest reply. Since it is a private tour with no other passengers to pick up I am pretty sure they can pick up at your location mentioned. This tour was awesome!!!

It says the tour starts at 7:30am. Is that the start time or the pick up time?
Written January 27, 2022
That is the pick up time. But with that being said They did change our pick up time from 7:30 to 8:30 because of Covid. The park doesn't open until 9:00. Our guide was prompt and actually a little early.

What kind of carseats are available? Are they safe for a 28lb 2 year old? How do I make sure to reserve one when booking?

He took us wherever we wanted to go. It was not a set place. We said we wanted great tacos and he took us to a place he liked.

Can we make changes to the itinerary? I would like to do a zip line instead of visiting centones. This will be for June 28 and 4 adults. And does the trip include lunch?
