I had an incredible time on the Cenotes adventure in Tulum, and Arturo was a huge part of that experience! He was super friendly, knowledgeable about the area, and always made us feel safe and comfortable. His passion for the cenotes and the history of Tulum really showed, making the adventure even more enriching. The main reason we travel is to learn and appreciate cultures that are different from ours. Our guide, Juan, provided us with wonderful insights during our visit to Chichén Itzá. He was very passionate about teaching us about the Maya civilization as he competently answered all of our questions. We were never bored, which is quite a feat for a whole day tour. This is one of the best private tours we've ever had so many thanks to Juan for making this a very worthwhile use of our vacation time. Thanks to our driver, Enrique, as well for delivering us safely on all our stops.

Absolutely fantastic company! I booked online for the first available date for the private Chichén Itzá tour. I wanted something sooner, so I emailed and the owner Claire made arrangements for us to go sooner. We chose a private tour because we are tired of the stops at other resorts, loud and/or possibly annoying people in the bus, and high pressure sales stops. From the moment our guide Arturo and our sweet driver arrived, I knew the day would be peaceful and great. Arturo’s knowledge of the Mayan civilization is phenomenal! We had such a great, informative, and peaceful tour of Chichén Itzá. Arturo is like an old friend you haven’t seen in awhile, very laid back, easy to talk to, and incredibly intelligent. Well traveled! Another reason why we chose this particular company and your was the lunch option. Instead of the mass crowd Buffet most tours offer, Arturo took us to a fantastic restaurant in Vallodid, where we ordered from the many and it was included in the price. The food was authentic and delicious, and we got to have a great conversation with Arturo. I will absolutely recommend and continue to book only private tours with this great company, and I will always request Arturo. Fabulous day! 5+ stars all day long.

We happened to find absolute adventures when we were getting the run-around from another tour company. We hadn’t considered a small private tour for 3 of us but the price was right and 1/2 day Coba only was all we wanted. Absolute was courteous and professional from the beginning - I changed our pick up time with no problem, I got immediate confirmation for my purchase and reminders/instructions of the tour the day before. It sounds silly to love that, but not all tours are this organized. Our van showed up on time to our hotel lobby with our driver, Enrique, and guide, Arturo, and had the most amazing day! Coba is beautiful and less touristy than the other ruin sites and honestly it is the guide that makes or breaks your day on these excursions. Arturo was amazing, so knowledgeable and congenial. It wasn’t a point and click presentation, it was a fascinating conversation with a lot of laughs the whole tour. We got to the site early and Arturo led us on a great path of discovery, just beating the other tour groups to each location at Coba, at times it really felt like we had the jungle to ourselves. Without a doubt, I will be booking tours with Absolute Adventures again. Thanks for an incredible day!

We had an incredible experience on our tour of the Coba ruins, and we were especially fortunate to have Arturo as our guide, he was delightful! Arturo’s knowledge of the Maya civilization truly enhanced our visit. He shared many fascinating details, making the ancient history come alive for us and teaching us a lot about the Maya in a way that never felt boring or pedantic. We chose Coba because we liked that it wasn't an all-day excursion. We hoped it would be less crowded than other ruins and we liked that it was tucked away in the jungle and out of the sun, and all these things were true! We got there early and it was so peaceful biking around the sites before it got too hot. Arturo was very thoughtful and attentive, always offering to take our pictures at the perfect spots! He structured the tour in a way that helped us avoid the big crowds, and took care of all the logistics, including purchasing tickets and arranging our bike rentals, so we could fully enjoy the tour without any hassle. If you’re planning a visit to the Coba ruins (and you should!) we highly recommend this tour. And if you’re lucky enough to have Arturo as your guide, you’re in for a truly memorable experience!

This tour was the highlight of our trip! We were two families, with kids ages 8-15 and everyone loved it. Online booking was super easy, prices were reasonable, and communication from the company was great. Alex was an amazing guide! Very knowledgeable and friendly. We were picked up promptly and the van was clean and comfortable. They had it stocked with waters, juices and beers for us. Tulum was a great option to see ruins with the little kids. We chose the cave cenote and WOW. We could have stayed there all day. Alex had water proof flashlights for us to swim with which really helped us explore and see more (none of the other tour guides had those for their groups). After the cenote we had a fantastic lunch at the family owned restaurant onsite at the park where the cenote was located. We highly recommend this company and would absolutely use them again!

We had the best day today with Alex and Omar. We first went to Tulum and Alex shared some amazing Mayan knowledge with us. After Tulum we went to the cenote which was amazing. 😍 It was our first time snorkeling and honestly, incredible doesn't describe it well enough. We then went and had a delicious lunch before coming back to the resort. The private tour was absolutely the right choice for us. We could go at our pace, ask questions, and it was so nice to have Alex with us throughout. Highly recommend this company and hopefully you get Alex as your guide. 🩷

Fabulous early morning tour of Tulum ruins, where our interesting and cool guide, Juan, explained the structures and the culture of ancient Mayans here on the Carribean coast. Then we stopped for a refreshing swim/snorkel in a beautiful cenote full of lillypads and little fish. After the swim, we enjoyed interesting conversation with Juan over a delicious lunch at the local restaurant by the cenote. Then we headed to TSUUK Akumal national park, where specially trained swiming/snorkeling guides lead you into the ocean to look for sea turtles. Our guide, Manuel, found five turles, including a HUGE one so close we probably could have touched it when it came up for air. But of course we didn't. After all that, we savored the cold beers we had requested for the short drive back to Playa del Carmen. Our driver, Omar, was great. This was our first private tour, and so worth the money. What a great day!

We booked a private tour of Chichen Itza because I was looking for a personal experience to learn more about this amazing place and I had tons of questions. From pick up to drop off, our driver ensured a safe and comfortable ride and we arrived before it opened and left when it was starting to get very crowded. Our guide Arturo was phenomenal. He was knowledgeable, personable, and it was very appreciated that he tailored the tour for us. It was an incredible experience we highly recommended.
