About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- lepolak1590 contributionsBad tour, please avoidChichen itza and Merida are very nice to see! But please take another agency, we were a large group, in an old van with poor AC, snoring random "guide" showing no interest in anything, sometimes wrong information, often delayed, additional stops, longer routes as no navigation, and all very expensive... I think they have no future in this business.Written April 1, 2024
- 870maximilianm0 contributionsUnpleasant experience.Unpleasant experience. Driver was late, bad AC on a 100+ degree day. Guide was very short in words and not really motivated. Lots of discussion about prices of entry tickets which should be paid by operator but wasn't. The ceneote was fun but super mass tourism. Overall not a pleasant experience, just go with another operator.Written April 1, 2024
- 17giovannal0 contributionsUnderwhelming and overpricedCould definitely use some improvement! I found the tour very overpriced for what we got. The van had a malfunctioning AC, which made the journey very unpleasant - at some point I felt sick. There were also some misunderstanding between the organizer and the operator: we stopped ‘for breakfast’ somewhere where there was no breakfast available 😅 then we arrived at the site at 12:30pm with 40 degrees on Easter Sunday. The guide did not purchase the tickets in advance and our Mexican friends could not benefit from the free entrance as the line was endless and the guide was not prepared for it. The tour itself was underwhelming, the guide threw lots of information in a disorganized way at us very quickly, losing the group’s interest and focus very soon. Then they took us to the Cenote and did not give us any information about the site at all. They just gave us tickets and that was it. For what they charge, definitely poor performance and value for money.Written April 1, 2024
- Big_Berny0 contributionsNot recommendedWe did a tour to Chichen Itza yesterday and while the locations themselves were great, the organizer was not. First, they planned a stop in Izamal where we were supposed to have breakfast. But when we arrived, we were told there was no restaurant that could accommodate 20 people. When we asked why they recommended stopping here then (which in total took us 2 hours more to get to Chichen Itza because of that), the guide just said he didn’t know. We arrived at Chichen Itza in the midday sun. Then they bought way too expensive tickets, even though they knew some of us were Mexican and allowed to enter for free. We told them multiple times and had our passports ready. After reporting that to the company, they still didn’t want to reimburse us for the tickets. And we paid a lot! The guide was okay but not super motivated. The places themselves were great, including the Xcajum Cenote that we visited. But because of our experience, I recommend booking through another company. There is definitely something better and cheaper out there.Written April 1, 2024
- 3onia0 contributionsGreat Day Trip - highly recommendMy daughter and I did this private tour yesterday and it was fab! The confirmation from the booking was a bit confusing but our hotel receptionist helped us and called the company and we were told they would pick us up from our hotel. The next morning our driver Nelson communicated with us via Whatsapp to check that the pick up time arranged was convenient (so beware you must have internet connection at times to get messages) and he was there at 9 on the dot ! He was very friendly and spoke very good English - asked our preferences a lot and recommended some street food to go before we set off for the 2 h journey (from Merida) As an organised tour our car was allowed all the way to the front entrance of Chichen Itza and Nelson took us all the way to the ticket office. From there we did our own thing (we booked one of their official guide which was well worth the cost as we learned so much about this beautiful site). We met Nelson back in the car park a couple of hours later (which was plenty of time there for us especially in the heat of the day - but Nelson was very flexible and we could have stayed longer if we wanted to) We then drove to a nearby Cenote and again Nelson got everything organised for us, tickets, life vests, etc - We weren't hungry but could have had food if we had wanted to. Again we stayed there as long as we wanted, Nelson being super flexible with times etc. even suggested we visit a different cenote after the one from Xcajum but we were ready to head back home. Nelson also offered recommendations for a very nice restaurant near St Lucia square which we tried that same evening and was indeed a great find. We thoroughly enjoyed our day out - so relaxing to be driven around and feel safe and that everything is being taken care of with a friendly and knowledgable driver. Very very very happy customers :)))))Written July 17, 2021

This was part of a full day tour. The pyramid of the Magician was very nice. Wonderful story about it. I think that this is the biggest in the Yucatan?? The governor's house was impressive. Expect a lot of walking. I have some back and hip issues, so part if the walking was hard, but would fully recommend it.

The presentation of the Tour to the site was misleading. Company provided excelent driver to the sites and dinner at the end. A tour guide was not provided.

Loved exploring this ruin! I was a bit sad as we were not able to climb up the pyramids (apparently due to covid reasons) but it was still beautiful to walk around. One of my favorite parts actually happened to be across the street at the chocolate museum where we got to feed the monkeys! Something little and unexpected that ended up being a highlight of my trip.
