Recently spent 3 weeks in Merida, MX with a group of family and friends and I can't say enough about Merida Elite. I used them on two previous visits to Merida and once again they provided exceptional service. 1) BOOKING- I booked everything in advance from abroad via email with the help of Lic. Montalvo at the Merida Elite office. He was patient and responsive helping arrange private tours to Magical Towns, Uxmal/Chocolate Factory, Mayapan/Homun Town, two trips to Celestun and multiple airport transfers. 2)TRANSPORTATION - all of the drivers were great. "Alex" drove for most of our activities and he was excellent. He went above and beyond. When a guest left her hat on the van Alex drove back to the guest house to return it. The drivers that handled some of the other transport were great as well - on time, and super careful. Vehicles were clean and comfortable. Cold beverages and snacks on board and cool cloths after each tour---a really nice bonus. 3) GUIDES- "Saul" guided us on one trip to Celestun and he was very, very good. Engaging and informative. "Vicente" was our guide for all of the other tours and I cannot say enough good things about him. His knowledge of the culture and history of the Yucatan is exceptional! He was extremely patient and flexible. Ours was a group of English speakers so his fluency was very much appreciated. In short, I highly recommend the team at Merida Elite for transport and tour services.

This is my second visit to Mérida with tours and transportation with Mérida Elite and contract tour guide Vicente. Service is always excellent. Comfortable transport, friendly and safe driver, knowledgeable guide. They go above and beyond to make sure the trip was enjoyable!!

While they were prompt and perfect from the airport to our residence, the way back to the airport was terrible. I had called Trip Advisor to confirm a pick-up time at 5:30 AM. Merida Airport said they saw this amendment and assumed it was a mistake so came at the initially scheduled time (4:30 AM) then left and *would not come back.* This left me in a panicked scramble to get to the airport on time, calling Ubers who were taking much much longer than the expected wait times. The attendant I called said he would NOT send another car for us, even though it was their mistake. You cannot trust this service provider.

Our tour guide, Vincente, was very knowledgeable about history, geography, ancient cultures, work by archeologists, friendly, personable, and very willing to answer any questions. He made sure we had every opportunity to shop, go at our own pace, use restrooms, provided drinks, pointed out uneven terrain, assisted my wife with stairs. In other words very considerate & accommodating. His 13 years as a professional tour guide (in answer to our question) certainly showed! Spoke English beautifully.

We recently returned from a weeks stay in Merida and the Yucatán.There were 9 seniors ( in age not in mind) and we wanted a private tour vs a bus load of 30 people.I booked Merida Elites tour to Uxmal and the Chocolate factory.I was very impressed how smooth the booking process went . The per person price also dropped from about $200 per person to $100 since there were 9 of us. Our tour guide Vincente and driverAlex picked us up on time at our vocational rental in downtown Merida.The van was very clean with cold drinks and Vincente and Alex both spoke very good English. Vincente was passionate and informative about Mayan history and culture as he guided us thru Uxmal. The lunch (included) was excellent and the tour to the Choco factory was very good. Thank you Vincente Alex and Merida Elite.Booking you made me look pretty smart.

Our favorite part was the guide and driver. Vicente and Alex were extremely friendly, informative, and helpful. Cold drinks, cold cloths to cool off after an informative walk through Uxmal, and interesting conversation at lunch. Vicente's knowledge and deep appreciation for the Mayan culture is evident as he explains the meaning of sites and motifs at Uxmal. He is passionate about the history and current state of the people of the Mayab. Vehicle was comfortable and Alex made sure we were comfortable and safe. Gracias, Umbotig, Thank you both!

Easy transaction. I booked online and received a confirmation within hours. Getting to the airport, we were welcomed by Benito. Very sweet and attentive! He was amazing. We had a short 20 min ride from the airport to our hotel. We told him it was our first time in Merida and he gave us a tour and explained historical sites, how the street system works, and where we can find great places to eat, shop, etc. Our ride back to the airpot was easy as well. Our driver arrived on time and waited for us in the lobby and asked to assist us with our luggage. I will definitely be using this service again!

We were late, then I was one of the last people off the plane, then one of the last to get my luggage. However, Benny waited for us…complete with a sign with my name, right where we couldn’t miss him after the baggage claim area. Thanks for waiting, Benny.

We travelled to Mexico from Canada at the end of November, 2022. Prior to our arrival, I had arranged 2 transportation services with Merida Elite. December 1st was a pickup from Hacienda Sotuta de Peon (45 minutes outside of Merida), to be dropped off at Casa dos Lirios bed & breakfast in Merida. December 13th was a pickup from Casa del Maya bed & breakfast in Merida to go to the Merida airport. Both drives were excellent. Our first driver, Abraham was a younger gentleman, whom was very friendly, upbeat and spoke pretty good English. Our second driver was an older gentleman, Benito, whom was also very polite, and although he did not speak much English, he was able to still try to converse and point out some local landmarks on our trip to the airport. I also have to commend Benito because the road in front of our bed & breakfast was being paved. He parked the shuttle 3 blocks over, walked to the doorway, carried my suitcase all the way back to the shuttle and was so good-natured about all the trouble. A special shout out also to Gabriel Montalvo, the manager, answering all my questions before, during, and after booking - including a time change for our last pickup to be at the airport earlier - he was patient and so very helpful! Everything about Merida Elite is professional, the shuttles are clean, service is wonderful and I definitely recommend them as a trustworthy transportation option.

Our tour guide and our driver Abraham were amazing! Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the yucatan and gave us great information in English about the region on our journey to the sites. The ride was comfortable and clean and a variety of cold drinks were offered along the way. Our guided tour of the sites were very informative and entertaining. I would highly recommend their services to anyone who wants a great personal tour.

The entire experience was wonderful from start to finish. Abraham and our tour guide were great, they were a wealth of knowledge during our trip. The ruins were an amazing experience as well as the Choco tour. The lunch of ground roasted pork was AMAZING as well as the locally grown beverages.

While in Merida, our group of four friends enjoyed two private day trips. One to Campeche and the second to Celestun. We were lucky enough to have the services of driver, Abraham and guide, Vicente. I had used their service on a previous visit, so was thrilled they were both available this trip. Abraham is a skilled, courteous driver, while Vicente is an exceptional, and very knowledgeable guide. I highly recommend them both. Working online with Merida Elite to schedule these private tours was super-easy. I was able to make all arrangements prior to arriving in Mexico. The vans were clean, spacious and comfortable. The added touch of cold beverages and snacks onboard was great, particularly in Yucatacan heat! Two in our party had some mobility issues and Abraham & Vicente did everything possible to ensure comfort.

My family recently visited Mérida and decided to let someone else do the driving this time. We booked three private tours as well as airport transfers. We chose 1) Uxmal, Kabah & Choco Museum 2) Ek Balam & Cenote 3) Celestún. First, Gabriel Montalvo in the office was a huge help. I appreciate how easy it was to have preliminary questions answered, schedule tours and make payments. Great communication and follow up. I also liked how he scheduled our tours, so that we had a free day in between each of the tour days. Our driver Alex (Alejandro) was so nice. He was very friendly and I was able to practice my Spanish with him—a great guy and a great driver. The van was always clean and we are so glad it had air conditioning. Alex always had the cooler stocked with water for us (other drinks, too, but we just drank lots of water). My kids appreciated the snacks and we all loved the cool, refreshing towels that Alex had for us after being out in the hot weather—that was such a nice touch. Our guide Pepe (José Maria Osorio) was wonderful. My husband and children do not speak Spanish, and Pepe’s English is excellent. He is extremely knowledgeable and we learned a lot with him. We had some interesting conversations and he made some great recommendations (restaurants and other things to do in Merida). Pepe was also understanding if the kids (9 & 13) were tired or not feeling well—he was happy to make changes for us if we needed. He also was happy to take some photos of our family, too, which I appreciate. It was also very nice to have the van to ourselves— private tours for just our family. This was our first vacation since Covid started, and this was a nice, safe way to travel.

Carlos was a wonderful guide with endless knowledge about Yucatán history. We appreciated his flexibility as this was a private tour, and we were able to spend more time in places we enjoyed. He also has knowledge of plant and bird life that was very helpful and interesting. EkBalam is definitely worth visiting and cenote Saamal was beautiful. We got to see four Motmot birds inside the cenote! Great tour!

Our driver, Abraham was excellent and communications were also perfect! Our van was sprawling clean and they had a cooler loaded with drinks including beer and water along with snack. Abraham was attentive without being intrusive and helped make our adventure an eleven star experience.
