- N5966JEdeborahv0 contributionsFun times. It was a lot of fun. There were right total people in the class. There was plenty of room for everyone and plenty to eat too. It started at the downtown supermercado which was amazing to see. After we got all our supplies, we headed to the house to cook. You could do as much it as little as you wanted in preparing the food. There was a ton of food, from a lot of fruits I have never had before, to appetizers, and the main course. There may have been some tequila involved if you were into that. I would recommend this excursion to couples or families without little children. If you are on a cruise, you get to see a part of Cozumel you would otherwise miss.Written March 18, 2025
- bethbS8538AE0 contributionsRespite from the stormAfter our plans for the day were ruined by rough seas, we were thankfully able to nail down a cooking class with Tania and her daughter to keep us entertained for the day! Due to timing we weren't able to visit the market like most of their guests but they were still able to make due with the grocery store which was an adventure in itself. Tania was great and explaining what we were looking for or doing and why, explained the difference in peppers and more. We've also done cooking classes in Italy and Costa Rica. I would say this one was a little less hands on but we were still able to participate in the preparation and cooking and also spend some time just relaxing with the amazing food. It was a good mix of work and play. And the food was amazing! So much delicious food! And she was even able to work with multiple food allergies. You will not be disappointedWritten March 17, 2025
- V8900ZKmeganm0 contributions10 / 10 Tour with John! This buggy tour covers almost everything there is on the island of Cozumel. I liked how we had our own driver and could customize the tour if we wanted to stay somewhere longer, or stop somewhere else. Our driver was John, and he was amazing. He is a local in Cozumel and knows everything to know about the island. Be prepared that the buggy is open windows and some are open rooftop, so it gets very windy when riding in the buggy. We had a little mix up at the start of our cruise, but it was no ones fault. I had booked meeting spot 2, since it said this was where cruise ships docked. But there were 2 different cruise spots and our ship, Carnival Breeze was at the other stop. We were late to our excursion starting time, but Jeepriders was very accommodating and did not cut our excursion time short even though we were late.Written March 17, 2025

He really made us feel at home and showed us more of the local side of Cozumel, which is exactly what we wanted. I would book this tour again in a heartbeat and recommend it to anyone who asks. - 101brandib0 contributionsMost memorable part of our Cozumel trip!If you're visiting Cozumel and love great food, this experience is an absolute must! Tonia took us on a wonderful journey through the local market, teaching us how to select the freshest ingredients and sharing fascinating insights about the local cuisine. She went above and beyond, making sure we truly understood the flavors and techniques of authentic Mexican cooking. Back at her home, we prepared an incredible meal together, and every bite was the best we had all week! Tonia is such a warm and welcoming host—so much fun to chat with and full of knowledge. And the margaritas in a bowl? Who knew that was a thing?! They were absolutely delicious and the perfect touch to an already fantastic experience. If you’re looking for something unique and unforgettable in Cozumel, don’t miss this cooking class with Tonia. You won’t regret it! I think we will do this again the next time we visit.Written March 8, 2025
- Z332SEstefaniap0 contributionsDo not miss this cooking class! It was AMAZING!Thank you, Tania! We learned so much from you. We tried many things we have never tasted. Even simple dishes like salad and guacamole were unlike anything we’ve ever tried or made in the US. The market tour was so fun and informative and learning how to prepare an entire meal was both fun and rewarding. Tania explained everything clearly and we are so lucky to have the recipes to make these at home. It was worth every peso! You will leave happy and full of delicious Mexican cuisine!Written March 8, 2025
- LizEBtheTravelBug0 contributions2nd Time on this trip just as amazing as the 1stRicardo was a WONDERFUL driver and guide. He was very helpful and made awesome recommendations for things to do and see. We were late arriving to meet up with Ricardo but he was gracious and very accommodating with his/our time. We saw and did everything we wanted to and couldn't have asked for a better guide!Written March 7, 2025
- MarkSixbey0 contributionsImmerse yourself in the Mexican cultureWhat a great experience. Tania took us through the local market, talked about the produce, its origins, and how the locals use it. Everything was fresh and the vendors were very friendly. Afterwards we went to a local tequila tasting where we sampled some artisanal tequila and learned its history along with the process of creating it. The tequila was very nice and the experience was amazing. We then went to the house for the cooking experience. Tania walked us through the process of creating an authentic meal. We were hands on the entire time. The flavors, textures, and aromas heightened the experience. We ate way too much but enjoyed every minute. Tania finished the meal off with a mango margarita and fried plantains. Mmmmm, I can still taste them. It was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to get immersed in the culture. Thank you Tania for a fantastic experience!Written March 7, 2025
- drewhF9459AV0 contributionsWe started the day at the market to buy ingredients, then went Tequila tasting before cooking the meal.Tania was wonderful teacher and explained everything so well. - X6956QIbiancap0 contributionsIncredible trip and guide!Ricardo gave us a 10/10 local tour of the island! He was so friendly and accommodating, we always felt safe and secure. He took us to spots tailored to our interests and made our vacation stress free. I would 100% recommend him as your guide this was amazing and I would do it again. We had great food, incredible scenery and a local view of the island. With his advice, we had a great time. Great food included (we ordered additional to try more), peaceful private beaches with only a few locals, a perfect guided tour. Seamless pick up and drop off and easy communication! We had an amazing day in Cozumel, all thanks to Sergio, our fantastic guide. He was incredibly attentive, made sure we were well taken care of with drinks, and was genuinely kind and personable. Sergio shared fascinating insights about Mayan culture, which made the experience even more special. If you’re looking for a unique day tour that offers something different from the standard cruise ship excursions, we highly recommend booking with this company. Kevin was also very easy to reach via WhatsApp during the booking process, making it simple to coordinate the pick-up location.

It is an excellent tour! Our guide Jordan explained everything to us very well, took photos and took us to beautiful places, and the lunch was spectacular!! Authentic Mexican flavors are a delight, without a doubt highly recommended, the tour is private only for the number of people you reserve, which makes the experience more personal and better.

Sergio was our guide, and he was fantastic! Fun and very informative of the Cozumel culture and Mayan history. My husband and I enjoyed the exclusivity of this tour and being able to get off the beaten path. We highly recommend this tour (and guide), and we will absolutely do tours with this company again when we return to Cozumel.

Ricardo picked us up promptly from our place in Cozumel. He started by explaining the route we were going to take and also asked if there was anything specific we wanted to see or do. He made it so the experience was customizable and personal. Ricardo also is a photographer and offered to take pictures of my boyfriend and I! Such an amazing experience!

We had an amazing day with Ricardo! We have seen all the popular spots in Cozumel and we were looking for something more “local” without the crowds - this tour was exactly that! Ricardo was so knowledgeable and we never felt rushed. This was a great tour and we will def come back to use Jeep Riders again.

This excursion was a last minute booking on our way to the ship. Absolutely appreciate Jordan's knowledge and patience to take us to all the "off the beaten path" spots to see some real history. We visited the lighthouse, a few shops, some Mayan ruins and tasted some small batch tequila. That seafood soup on the side of the road was out of this world, and I'm a chef. Thoroughly impressed with a simple and delicious lunch. If this is something you're considering, book it. Value for money, hands down.

Ricardo was our guide. I was traveling with my mom who has hard time traveling due to the health condition, but she really wanted to see pieces of Mayan history and culture with her own eyes. Ricardo was very accommodating and my mom had a blast visiting these sacred places. Thank you!
