Very friendly, welcoming and informative. Loved learning about the different fruits that grow here and seeing how they put them to use in their basic foods and drinks. Tried chicozapote for the first time and picked fresh coconuts to drink and eat. The cow was a real character and made me laugh a lot!

The family was very nice, learned a lot.

Make sure you have proper expectations that this is a rural farm. No modern amenities and you need to have bug spray. They had some they shared and home made paste for the ones we had from the day before.

They had good tequila to taste the bottles were $80-120 and took credit cards. My daughter loves mangos and they sent her home with a whole bag full.

We took a taxi from Melia and go gouged in price. It should be about $20 USD from the ferries and major hotels. The driver was nice enough to take us back to the hotel which was much appreciated.

The farm to table is lead by two brothers who were thrilled to share their farm with the right of us. They are humble and delightful brothers who farm in limestone by breaking down the limestone to allow plants to grow. They are a ecological minded, do do everything they can to figure out how to continue with the farm their grandfather started.
Our family, sibs & spouses are gardeners and farmers, was looking for a down to earth and learn about their culture. We want to avoid the tour bus guide who reads a script.
While at the farm we learned about the growing conditions. We worked in the traditional out for cooking area. We prepared guacamole, salsa, a wonderful drink developed by their father, and made tortillas and tacos.
You get to meet Black and White Dogs and not to be miss Edestrellas, who acts like a dog.
One for our party is handicapped, physically and there made excellent accommodations for her.
Our driver shared history about Cozumel and his family's life.
Frank, our driver, was delighted show off the great people from his town. He picked us on time and got us back early so we could make our way slowly back to the ship
If you're looking for a 'real' experience this an excellent choice. They keep the groups small, eight ppl or less. Don't Miss this Farm to Table experience!

A unique experience with this family. Easy pickup at the Mayan Plaza located directly across the cruise ship docks. Transportation available and approximately 15 minute drive to the farm. From there Carlos guided us on the farm and explained the different produce that is grown organically with over 200 trees producing mangos, guanabana, gum tree fruit, sweet and sour oranges, 3 different types of coconuts, avocados, pistachios and prickly pears. Freshly made drinks, guacamole, Sikil Pa’ak a traditional Mayan ground pumpkin seed dip and Sopes made fresh on the grill. All very delicious! Afterwards Carlos’s cousin Martin who is a master Jimador guided us with an organic tequila tasting tour. Many of the fruits grown on the farm are shipped to Jalisco where flavored tequilas are produced and placed in hand blown and hand painted bottles. Martin explained that most of the tequilas produced in mass are actually mixed with ethanol so that Patron, 1800 etc are not 100% tequila. Their organically produced tequila, Lluiva and Estrella, is 100% and not diluted with other types of alcohol and is very smooth to drink without the burn of mass production “tequilas” Their coconut tequila is amazing along with mango, tamarind, coffee and of course their main stay resposado. Loved them so much we bought 8 bottles to bring back to the states. Their family business started in October of 2019 and they plan to expand which we know will succeed as they are wonderful. If you’re in Cozumel this is a worthwhile activity to book!

This was my top experience on my cozumel trip. Carlos was great at explaining the fruit, the process of the farm and history of the food. It was 3 hours of just fun, and hanging out at the farm. PLEASE WEAR BUG SPRAY. The cow was amazing and friendly. This is an experience for the whole family.

My wife and I did this tour on our break from diving and it became one of the highlights of our vacation. We were picked up by Frank in front of our rented house and taken to a little country farm. Our tour guide Carlos showed us around his farm and told us about all the trees on his place. We also enjoyed hearing about and feeding his cows chickens and dogs. Finally he made us a nice tequila drink with fresh citrus fruits. The drinks were accompanied with some traditional dips chips and topped off with some tacos made by Carlos’ mom over their outdoor wood fired grill. We came as tourists and left as friends. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

This tour is amazing if you love farm tours and authentic food. Carlos does a walking tour of the farm and explains all the different types of trees and fruit they grow. You get the see all of the chickens and feed the cows.

We were welcomed with home made horchata, and later he made us the best tequila drink that will beat any of the margaritas in town...all from fresh squeezed fruit grown locally.

Carlos’ mother make us a selection of pico, guac, salsa verde and an interesting sauce made from roasted pumpkin seeds. After we saw how to make traditional sopes. You won’t leave hungry or thirsty! Highly recommend getting away from all of the super touristy stuff and checking this out!

A wonderful way to experience the island and learn about local culture. After a tour of the farm, our hosts provided lovely homemade cocktails. Then we all joined in to help make some authentic Mexican food.
I remarkable experience. We couldn’t recommend it more highly.

This was one of my favourite experiences during my 2 weeks on the island. Carlos (our guide) is the nicest and most friendly man ivet ever met. He noticed I was scratching during our tour and he ran back to get me bug spray! So nice. The farm is so quaint and I loved learning the history of all the fruits, we even got to pick our our fruits! He cut us different kinds of fresh coconut then we made amazing salsa and guac and sopes from scratch. Definitely adding those to my recipe! Not to mention the amazing cocktail he made us. I can not say enough good things about this experience. DO IT.

What a wonderful and unique way to spend the afternoon. Carlos was a delight to hang out with. He showed us around the farm and explained how everything worked. He let us sample the fruits and shared yummy drinks. We made two amazing dishes and followed by him making us sopas. Overall, the best excursion we did in cozumel. Highly recommend!
