About the operator
- stacyrS7517MC00Amazing, highly recommendedWhat a amazing experience, Armando our tour guide was great very knowledgeable and funny. The dancing horses were really something to see, the talent of the rider was amazing. Highly recommend the Royal Caribbean Mayan living history tour.
- bethrealrockingrealt00not a tour at all!!!!Let me tell you about this tour. It is NOT wheelchair friendly. We were picked up in a wheelchair accesible taxi. He had NO idea we were even on a tour. Then he drove us all around the island explaining what things were. We didn't even get out of the taxi. I'm retuly not one to complain, but, don't waste your money. Just get a taxi from the taxi stand. You'll save a lot of money!
- Teallab00We didn’t expect this tour to be as wonderful as it was, but boy, were we thrilled!Despite obstacles including our cruise ship arriving late and our tour guide being very delayed due to being in a car accident, we still had a fabulous time. We were flexible, and so were they. We were treated to a stop at a chocolate factory (so good!), a visit to a tequila tasting place, and then a really amazing experience at a Maya village education park. Our Trip Advisor guide, Karima, was funny, knowledgeable, and so warm. She felt like family to us. Our Maya village guide (Tum-something I’ve forgotten) was super! He was hilarious, informative, and a sweetheart. We learned so much that day. I would highly recommend this tour to any adult!
- ingeling1100Great overview of Cozumel!Josue was our tourguide and he was excellent! Great information, good English language skills and an all-around nice guy. Bibliano was our driver and he was good as well.
- zlovel00Loved it!This was a great cultural experience for me and my niece. Upon arriving Cozumel and getting to our meeting point my niece had the misfortune of misplacing her IPhone at the restaurant. I thought the phone was a loss and so we proceeded with the tour. The Mayan staff were quite pleasant, informative, and they went out of their way to make us a part of their family. I enjoyed participating in the cooking demonstration and touring through the site. When heading out for the Tequila tour the taxi owner was very kind in allowing us to circle back to the restaurant in hopes to find the phone. Fortunately, a worker had held the phone and quickly retrieved it for us. We were so grateful!! The Tequila tour was ok. I think the Tequila was a bit overpriced and I did not get to taste the cucumber Tequila that I tasted on a previous trip. The tour guide gave us a few non-touristy recommendations for shopping and dining. We felt safe and I look to visiting Cozumel again in the near future!
- Melinda E00BEST part of our trip to Cozumel is a private tour with Taz!This private tour with Taz was by far the highlight of our most recent trip to Cozumel. From booking to drop off, everything went smoothly and everyone had an amazing time. Taz was super friendly and accommodating and truly felt like part of the family right from the start. We loved all the stops and all the people along the way. Amazing scenery, fabulous food and beverages, interesting information, great shopping, and memories to last a lifetime. Highly recommend this company and this tour!
- Blooterist00Beware scamsWhat you see is finem what you experience is hard sell! The Mayan Village gift shop, add a zero to prices you pay in Cancun Town, and the Tequila tasting I suggest you go to Walmart or other supermarkets in Cancun to price the tequila A 14% liquer was priced at £120 a bottle! Total rup off! Not worth the visit! At the end there is a big push for tips, unsavoury.
- halespCoz00Highlight of our trip.We learned so much we didn’t know about the island. Found new amazing places to venture out to. We will be back for more tours with Taz.
- Work_Traveler_197400Customizable and funThomas was my tour guide; he was knowledgeable and friendly. It poured rain the whole time, but they still made every effort to make sure I was having a good time. They were flexible with the itinerary and I never felt rushed.
- TimmyC508900Amazingly AwesomeThis is by far a MUST DO for any family or group going to Cozumel. Our Group did the Bar Crawl/Sightseeing Tour this year "because last we did the bar crawl 100% and wanted to mix it up this year" Taz Miranda is the most awesome and knowledgeable and personal person you will ever come across. We did a Bar Crawl/Shopping/Lunch on the Beach tour this year and man it's great to have the opportunity to see the Island in a safe friendly enviroment. When Taz is taking you around at no time do you feel unsafe or in danger but you get to see parts of the Island that you normally just see flying into the airport from above. As I said we've done this now both 2021 and 2022 and if we go back in 2023 we will do it again because Taz has become like family to us. Again if your looking for a private tour for your group around the Island LOOK NO FURTHER and do yourself a favor and BOOK THESE FINE AWESOME people!!
- timf95200Custom Island TourMy wife and I booked an island tour customized to our interests. I was recommended to contact Taz Miranda for the best island tour. The communication was fast and professional while booking our excursion. Our tour guide, Gerardo was amazing!!! He picked us up at our resort and asked what our interests were and also gave some of his suggestions without any pressure. We made a plan of stops and ventured out. We stopped at Punta Sur Eco Park took some amazing pictures and snorkeled in the crystal clear waters. We hit up the bars on the east (wild side) coast. Rasta Bar, Miami bar and Coconuts. We asked where the best shrimp tacos where on the island and Gerardo took us to El Camarón. The best shrimp tacos we have ever had. Authentic local cuisine. Gerardo's knowledge and pride as local on this beautiful island made the trip one we won't ever forget. I'm so glad we chose to have a guide show us the island versus venturing out ourselves.
- 189wendie00See the magic the isla has to offerWhat a FAN-TAB-ULOUS day! We chose to spend the day topside and toured the island with Fans of Cozumel Tours by Cab with Taz Miranda. We are repeat clients of this tour and wanted to show our friends the raw beauty of the island. And while we drank to our heart's content, we left the safety and the safe driving to the trusted Taz Miranda. Taz was able to pick us up right from our front door of our condominium, and off we went in his well-chilled van for our adventures. If you have a drink preference, you can let him know ahead of time and he will arrive with the coldest ones of your favorites for you to enjoy along the ride. An island resident for more years than not, Taz knows all of the popular spots and MANY of the BEST not-so-popular spots. I recommend visiting a few of these spots for many reasons: 1) they are usually less crowded, 2) they are local family owned/operated, 3) and they are full of the special island attributes so you can experience the real Cozumel. Popular spots are fun, too, but I honestly prefer genuine over hyped-up. AND I love to support the locals. We visited a little hut, which we passed up many times on our first visits to the isla, called Welcome to Miami. They are well known for fresh juice mojitos and fresh fruit drinks. They can make with or without alcohol and have all the tropical fruits to make the freshest, squeezed-right-there drinks. We visited Tequilera Reyes where we were greeted with freshly made margaritas and learned how tequila is made and how tequila is best enjoyed. I learned some drinking tips I had never heard of before and it makes a stark difference. We traded a few paper tokens for some of their amazing tequila. We ate lunch at Punta Morena and then saw newly marked turtle nests on the beach next to Rastas Bar. We tried to visit Playa good where the Corona Beer tv commercials are filmed, but there was some sort of authoritative shut down, and they were turning visitors away. We had the absolute best time learning, and relearning about the island's history and special attributes and taking in the beauty of the East side of the island. Taz takes special care to make sure you enjoy your time. He will make suggestions if you don't know where to go or what to do, or he will take you to do anything your heart desires. And if you have a special moment to celebrate, well, he will help you do that also with special decorations or arrangements. Just ask, and he will deliver. And you will have the TIME OF YOUR LIFE!
- Anna H00Beyond disappointedDespite booking over two months in advance, paying a deposit and receiving a confirmation, they did not turn up to our meeting point. After waiting for 15 minutes in the baking heat, I had to call. They had lost/forgotten our reservation. They then tried to send somebody who also never turned up. Gave up after an hour (we had only booked a three hour tour). Promised a refund but two weeks later it has not arrived,
- Z3257MDbeckyk00Great Tour, amazing guide and great food stopsWonderful tour today with Taz Miranda. We did a taco tour around Cozumel and he showed us some great local hidden gems. Even convinced us to try a tequila tour that we loved. He’s very knowledgeable and I would recommend this tour to anyone looking for a great day. He’s willing to customize the tour to whatever you are looking for. Will definitely book again next time we are in Cozumel.
- Vergel M00Trust me, pick this tour.Everything was on time/early. Karima Miranda was such an amazing tour guide, laid back, informative, and everything was so comfortable like we were part of the family! Which you don't see much on any tours where everything is structured and robotic. I have to put a specially mention to the main village tour guide Chris (we forgot his Mayan name (Ka something) I'm sorry if you are reading this!) But he was very knowledgeable and hilarious. Really made our tour fun and exciting the entire time.

So much FUN!! We had a fantastic time, and learned a lot about pre-Columbian Mayan culture with Luz, our guide at San Gervasio. She was extremely intelligent and engaging, and shared with us so many facts. Luz kept it educational and showed us things that we have never seen before.
Miguel, our driver, was also very engaging and told us many facts about Cozumel. He took us to for a Tequila tour, where we learned about Jalisco and the different kinds of agave and Tequilas. We purchased some great stuff and look forward to drinking it.
After our tour and tasting, Miguel took us to the other wild side of the island for lunch at the most beautiful spot in the world, Punta Moreno. Just gorgeous! Lunch was delicious!
Miguel went above and beyond for us and we are so grateful for his hospitality!

We were in a Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas Cruise, we stopped at Costa Maya and went to this shore excursion, about 90-100kms from the Costa Maya Cruise Port we paid $100 for the taxi and ($5 i dont remember for the entrance on the Ruins), it started raining and the floor was slippery but the natives told us that the rain was the blessing of the Gods and once we got wet we were blessed by the Gods, unfortunately we couldn't explore a lot because of the rain and the slippery floor, was raining a lot and the driver prevented running and it took us long time to arrive there and go back to the cruise.

We went on this tour early in our trip. The site was interesting. We would have liked to have gone to some of the ruins on the main land but we didn’t since the state department advised against taking the ferry.
The beach was beautiful but the waves were really rough! The food at the beach was okay and the service was a little slow but all in all we had a good time.
The tour was more private than I expected which was nice. It was just us with a private driver who was nice. He dropped us off at our hotel at the end and he was able to tell us about some of the sites around the island.

Thank you for taking the time to review of Cozumel Tours by Cab! We offer the best way to see our beautiful island. Sorry about our ocean conditions on that day but we can't control mother nature.
Thank you for helping spread the word. It was our pleasure to serve you; we are looking forward to serving you again in the future!

Loved that we had two tour guilds to tell us all about the island and its history. They first took us to San Gervasio Mayan ruins where they got us a guild to take us through the ruins and tell us it's history. Then they took us tequila tasting. Third stop was a nice restaurant on the beach where we had a delicious lunch and we got to have fun on the beach. Our guilds were wonderful and so much fun. Thank you for a great day on Cozumel.

Went on a cruise July 27-August 4. This was my first cruise experience with my friend. We did our research on ways to save money and be smart while booking excursions. We reviewed excursions through cruise line but there were no customer reviews. We researched through trip advisor by looking at reviews and comparing prices. Booking this excursion online was very easy. Schedule of activities, contact information, and meeting directions were very clear. Once we arrived at port the meeting location was within walking distance and there was no need to take separate transportation. We met with our tour guide “Taz.” He had a sign for us and called us to double check we were at correct meeting location. Once we got on vehicle Taz went over tour schedule and gave us options on different activities available. My friend and I decided to see architecture site, tequila making tour and tasting, and time at the beach for snorkeling with lunch included. Taz was very knowledgeable on area, history, good food, and popular locations. Wonderful service and very punctual. I recommend taking lunch and snorkeling at the end of tour. It was a very unforgettable experience. I’m planning on taking another trip to Cozumel and will definitely book again with “Taz” through trip advisor!

I was trying to find a better shore excursion than what was being offered through the cruise line that would be interesting to my 10 and 13-year-old. This was it! It was only the 3 of us, which made it even better. Tas (cab driver) met us at the pier and took us to the ruins where we met up with Ivan. Ivan is very knowledgeable and answered our questions thoroughly. Next up, lunch and snorkeling at a private resort.

One of the most impressive archaeological sites on the Mexican peninsula and the only ruins near the coast. It is advisory to take head cover because the temperatures can reach over 40 degrees Celsius. The Mayans were small people so when you enter the buildings make sure you lower your head because there isn't much headroom at the entrances. Our guide was very informative. The temple is out of bounds due to erosion and lack of respect for the building. The beach is one of the best on the coast and is free of seaweed

Suncream and headwear because it gets really hot. Swimwear is an option if you have plenty of time. We took a backpack because you will need plenty of water and if you go to the beach take a towel
We are arriving Dec 8th . What will the weather be like ?
