We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It was a nice ride all over the island and a fun stop at a tequila factory (?) and store. Hubby enjoyed all the tastings. We loved the ride and the tour guide.

What a ride! Got into Cozumel around 10, got off the boat and walked to the Harley place. Literally a five minute walk. Bikes were in good shape. No issues, except the gauges didn’t work, nor did the radio which was kind of a bummer. Got the bikes back to the shop with 5 minutes to spare. Had a great time. The crew at the shop was friendly and helpful.

Matt thank you very much for your review. And pleased to read that you enjoyed your time. Very sorry to note the radio did not work for you. Not really sure what happened there. We check it most days, and I checked it myself this morning, it's working fine. We've taken it out now to examine it properly. Regarding gauges - with year round humidity on the island, they can indeed be temperamental. Also a special thank you to you from us, for returning the bike on time. It's something we really appreciate. Hope we may see you again future. In the meantime enjoy your riding.

The service provided by Jose and Ricardo was excellent. From check-in, through the guided tour, and at check-out - - everything was fantastic!! Ricardo’s expertise as a guide may be unsurpassed. We rode through a bustling city and all around the island without encountering a single stop sign. Hard to believe, but true. He led us at a safe, but still exciting, pace. The bike was in good shape. This was one of the highlights of our trip. We enthusiastically recommend Eagle Rider in Cozumel for an excellent day.

We were on this tour with Ricardo as a guide and rode with one other couple. We did the stops as described in the other reviews - the black coral artist's shop, the tequila factory - where they showed us how to make tortillas, chocolate, Mexican candy and tequila, a stop at some black coral to take some pictures, and for a delicious lunch. The rest of the time we rode around the island. Ricardo was really easy to get along with - we never felt rushed, but weren't lollygagging either. He had plenty of water for us to drink along the way - it was really warm riding.

In the black coral shop, we met the artist, and he briefly showed us how he made his jewelery. We bought a few pieces, which were definitely less expensive than we saw later in town. At the tequila shop, we were given samples of everything they showed us - tons of tequila to try. And lunch was delicious - fajitas on the beach.

The bikes were in great shape, and we had no trouble riding. Definitely wear long pants, but a t-shirt or tank top was perfect for the weather. It did start to rain as we headed back after lunch - a light coat would have been handy.

Bring a camera for sure, but if you don't have one, your guide will take a few shots which will be posted on FB for you to download.

It was a great day, and we saw most of the island. I would love to find other tours like this in other locations. The only thing that would have made it better for me would be to make the tour longer and stop at some historical or other interesting locations.

Would definitely do something like this again!

DO NOT RENT THESE BIKES! We rented two bikes from the shop. Fat Boy had flat tire and could not be driven. Ultra Classic had loose battery cable. Cut out on us riding through town. Had to leave bike downtown as it would not start or keep running. Neither bike had functioning headlights. Tires were bald on both bikes. Owners charged us for 3 days rental and recovery because we lest bike in town. A complete ripoff! Awful owner service and response!!! Who in their right mind would pay $1000 USD for 5 hrs of riding one 1 bike? They completely took advantage of us.

If I could give them negative ratings I would.

The majority of our customers are very responsible and respectful of the bikes, in the rare instance that they are not we have to take action - and we therefore incur their wrath. These are the facts; Melissa J Olson and her partner turned up one hour after we closed, but we waited and did not charge extra, and even gave her half price rental, for the weekend, on Sunday we received a call, that she had a puncture, myself and Jose on our day off went and picked up the bike and had the puncture repaired, but Melissa did not need the bike back, on Monday we received a call that the bike would not start the night before, and so her partner John and Melissa left the bike at the bar, which they were visiting, and never tried to contact us, until the next day. Luckily when we eventually located the bike, we could clearly tell that someone had tried to steal the bike, parts were damaged and it was out of commission and Melissa and John did not bother to return keys until the afternoon. Melissa and John did not comply with Eaglerider terms and conditions and were charged for the late return and damage to the bike, Melissa made a scene at the shop and made threats, she then contacted all the people who had left us reviews, and called them all liars, but all of our previous customers were upset with her and told her so, she has now continued this on TripAdvisor, I am a biker and I believe, what goes around comes around, I apologise if she has contacted any of you and upset you. I try to treat my customers, with the same experience, that i would want to get, when i go on holiday or rent a vehicle, but some people are very difficult to please, but we will continue trying. Good Riding! Harmail

Had a great experience. Would recommend to anyone interested in a day ride, or anyone wanting to try out a different style of bike in a low-stress environment.

Getting there is easy. It's within sight of the one pier, and only 10 mins away from the other (Lagostina). Most/all taxi drivers will know it.

On arrival, everything was very smooth and they let me try out a few different bikes before setting off. The owner and guides are super helpful and really want you to have the best bike for you.

Their inventory looks factory-new and all bikes seem in top condition - except for the Scambler I booked, which was unavailable. Not being a Harley fan, I used a KTM Adventure in a style I'd ridden previously. This may have ended up being better since there was more highway driving than I expected, meaning the KTM windshield was arguably handy.

In the city, the roads are narrower, and traffic rules a bit loose, but nothing to worry about. Out of the city, the roads are very wide and, in a few cases, you're riding only a very short distance from the surf. There will be a few federales around so behave and do what your guide does.

Not being a drinker, I skipped the tequila factory tour. This left time for us to retrace the route and get some additional ride time in.

Obviously very hot - even Ricardo was feelin' it by the end - but not too bad provided you keep moving. I'm an ATGATT person so I had my own full-face helmet, jacket w/back protector, gloves and tall boots, and I did OK. (I skipped the riding pants as they were too bulky to bring, and I would have admittedly cooked.) They bring along ice water, which everyone should take full advantage of.

Didn't notice any bugs on the bike or visor, nor rocks on the roads, so I expect open-face helmets would be just fine. I don't advise anyone ride without appropriate supporting gear (jacket, etc) but that's up to you.

The riding is easy and relaxing. If you like highway tours, this is it. If you only like twisties or switchbacks this isn't for you. Nothing to do with ER, they don't pick the geography! But I had to laugh at the "dangerous curves" signs, which were only "dangerous" in the sense that the road was no longer a straight line. Overall, the roads are about as dangerous as a commute to your local 7-11.

There are a couple of stops at local POIs, and one for a lunch break. Everything from the time you arrive to the time you leave is included, including lunch, which was at a local beach restaurant and quite good.

Per schedule, I got there at 9:30 for a 10:00 tour. I got back to the more distant pier (Punta Lagostina) at about 2:15, well before all-aboard. The schedule is by no means tight.

Tips:

- If you wear a visor helmet, be prepared to clean it. You will probably think your helmet is fogging due to humidity, but it's actually a thin film of salt that builds up as you ride. They tell me they clean the bikes every ride, else they start rusting.

- The seat of my bike got so hot I actually thought (briefly) that the heated seat had somehow gotten turned on - and this was with my butt on it. When off the bike, as for lunch or breaks, it might get searingly hot. So longer pants or knee-length shorts may be advisable.

I booked the guided tour for our stop in Cozumel during our Cruise. There were no problems in booking the tour. We selected which bike to ride and I received a confirmation. I did have a little trouble communicating with the business though. The week before I was worried about thunderstorms and tried to call and email and did not receive any reply. All in all, it was fine weather the day we arrived and the reservation was all good but I was a little worried.

Ricardo was an excellent tour guide and we felt like VIP's. And I guess we were since we were the only ones in the group! Fantastic! We went on a tequila tour and he showed us a great place with the best mojitos ever! And we ate at Skyreef which had amazing fajitas. We stopped for pictures a lot and if you go on the Facebook page the pictures are there for free. This was the best excursion ever and I will recommend this tour to everyone! (Oh and don't forget sunscreen!)

Many thanks indeed for this review, I am pleased you had a good time with us, however I am upset to note that you did not receive the response in connection with your concern about potential thunderstorms. We received the email you sent to Eaglerider (Corporate) on the 12th June, and we replied on the 13th June. I am sorry this was not forwarded to you. We ensure every email and facebook message receives a response. Occasionally there can be a delay, but never a failure to respond altogether - this is not acceptable. The same applies to phone calls - I am not sure whether you sought to call us directly, or Eaglerider (Corporate). I am sorry though, that you did not receive a reply. I hope we may see you again, so for future reference, if you have any queries please note our email : info@eagleridercozumel.com Alternatively send us a message on facebook. Also, we are always happy to arrange a time to call the customer. Our best wishes to you.
