- F5337TSemilyj0 contributionsBad serviceOur excursion was canceled very last minute for weather. We had already booked our taxi to the city and ferry tickets. We were boarding when they called. Obviously nothing to be done about weather but a sooner heads up would have saved us a few hundred dollars 😕Written June 23, 2024

- kevindM8499UT0 contributionsIt is what you make it. Having the best guide in all of Mexico helps too!First things first. Gerardo (Jerry) our guide was incredible. He made the excursion a huge success. Super props to Jerry!!! 10 out of 10 stars!! Booking was easy and instructions were clear and easy to follow. We went from the port to the Meeting place without issue. It took 5 minutes to get there. Jerry was there early waiting for us when we arrived a bit early. He was very friendly and helpful right from the start. He asked what things we wanted to see and do on our excursion. We had an idea of what we wanted to do, but asked for his advice. He was very helpful and honest about our options. We chose to visit some Mayan sites, some beaches and to snorkle for a short time. We (4 of us) got into a nice jeep with Jerry driving. I was concerned with this initially because I was led to believe that we would have our own jeep. I also thought that we might be crowded. I am so happy that it ended up being this way. Being in the same vehicle with Jerry and getting to listen to his wealth of knowledge was awesome. We would have missed out on so much had we been in a different vehicle. Jerry took us to some amazing Mayan sites. The best part about these sites was Jerry's passion, excitement and knowledge. He shared tons of details, personal experiences and facts about everything that we saw. Jerry explained Mayan culture and how the impact of that Culture is still visible in Cozumel and other areas of Mexico to this day. We spent hours visiting different sites hearing the details and history of these sites and the associated culture of the Mayan people. This was the highlight of the excursion. We also visited the highest point on Cozumel with great views, had a delicious lunch and did some snorkeling near the resort where we had lunch. This was an amazing 5.5 hours and was worth every penny. On the excursion were my wife and I (Late 50's) and my daughter and son in law (mid 20's) We were all equally impressed with Jerry and the excursion as a whole. We would do it again in a heart beat. If you do this excursion, which we highly recommend, ask for Jerry!!!Written April 23, 2024
- lorikZ9052DU0 contributionsA Big DisappointmentDo not book this trip!! We were so very disappointed ! We couldn't find the jeep driver. We were told to meet in the plaza after getting off the ship but there were no one there. It took us 45 minutes searching in the town to find him and so our trip was very rushed. Lunch was terrible and did not include any soda or juice. Tequila tour was a farce. No tour just a guy trying to sell us tequila. We said we didn't care to go there as we don't like or drink tequila but he insisted as if we didn't have any choice. So much for customizing your trip. We were so looking forward to this trip. Now we know to always always book the tours through the ship.Written March 5, 2024
- LNeighbor0 contributionsLoved the farm and the tequila. We loved touring this family farm, learning all about the many species of trees and fruit growing on the property. The lunch and tequila were fantastic. There wasn't very much cooking involved, but that was fine. It was a very different experience from other things we did in Cozumel and everyone in our group commented that we would recommend it to others. Thanks Carlos for sharing your knowledge and fun time with us!Written February 21, 2024

- T9783SWdavids0 contributionsRustic ExperienceIf you like a rustic experience, this is for you. There is no electricity, so the restroom was a bit dark on a cloudy day; not recommended for a sit-down experience. The food and drinks were good. The tacos were messy so bring your own napkins. We asked for napkins and they brought us 4 squares from a roll of toilet paper. They were nicely folded. Overall, this excursion was not worth the cost.Written December 18, 2023
- mitzih730 contributionsNot worth it!I would not recommend this tour. This place is really old and run down. We did not see a farm at all. A few fruit trees at best. He showed us how to make salsa and gave us 3 tacos. The rest of the time we sat waiting, alone! For the amount of money, we expected much more.Written December 12, 2023
- juwollik0 contributionsGood deal, lots to doWonderful excursión that includes lots to do in half a day. Sergio was our private guide and he was knowledgeable of the island and cared for us perfectly. We loved every stop from the delicious tequila tasting to the cenote to the tasty lunch with a perfect swimming spot. We saw so many fish when we snorkeled and highly recommend this deal with an awesome private guide.Written November 16, 2023

After waiting 45mins at the pickup spot (after scheduled pickup time), the tour guide arrived to our relief. The first thing they offered was lunch @ 4pm. We said we would be wiling to go on the tour now and already had our lunch few hrs back. Then, he mentioned that the cenote location would be heavily crowded due to the time of the day and it would be hard to view later due to visibility. The next offer was Tequilla tour. As we do not drink, we mentioned the only interesting part of the tour was cenote and we are willing to wait for the cenote. At that point the guide called the manager and informed of our situation and the manager offered to give us a full refund if we cancel the tour, which I agreed to. After returning to my hometown, I sent multiple emails to the tour operators, who bluntly disagreed with every point I mentioned and did not give me even a partial refund. I felt completely cheated of my hard earned money and wasted a complete afternoon for this tour which never happened. I highly recommend to stay away from this CHEATERS.

My fiance and I went on this tour during our vacation on Cozumel. We wanted to get out of the resort and see of the history of the island and the jungle. Julio was our guide and he was awesome. He is extremely knowledgeable about the island, its history, and the various things we saw. In addition to the Jade cenote, we did a tequila tasting (excellent, and bring some cash), a cave, and snorkeling at Tortuga's beach club. One nice part of this tour was that it was private, just us and Julio.
Julio picked us up at our hotel in his Jeep and showed us around the island on the way to the cenote. He has a ton of knowledge about the island and the history of the people who lived here. We learned a lot and had a great time seeing the jungle and its interesting flora and fauna. The cenote is beautiful and unique. After that, he took us to Tortugas for snorkeling and lunch. I thought that Tortugas was rather touristy, but we ordered shrimp ceviche and it was outstanding. The water was great and the snorkeling was good.
On the way home, we talked to Julio about our plans for the rest of the week, and he drove us by all the places were we planned to have dinner for the next two nights so that we knew what to look for when we got there and understood the layout of the town. He really enjoys living on Cozumel and sharing his knowledge. We had a great time and highly recommend!

My wife and I had an amazing experience. Because we were the only ones in the group, Julio took us to see a cave that wasn’t a part of the itinerary. He taught us about the vegetation, the animals in the area, and the coral found in the rocks of the cave. The cenote was refreshing, and the history of Cozumel was fascinating. We ended the tour with lunch and snorkeling. Julio was very accommodating, which allowed us to spend time doing things we were interested in doing. For anyone considering this excursion, I would highly recommend it. Thank you Julio!!

Not worth the money. The “ruins” is just a single little temple in the middle of a market where everyone wants you to buy stuff from them. The snorkeling is done at a tourist trap beach, La Tortuga - avoid it! The jeep ride itself was fun and the cenote was okay, but that’s about it. The whole tour was designed around getting you to spend extra money after already paying a lot in the first place. Avoid this tours. 100% do not recommend it.

I decided to do this guided tour with a friend for my birthday. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this was a private tour, and that our guide, Tania, was absolutely delightful. She was charismatic and informative, and took the time to find out what would make our day enjoyable, I personally found swimming in the cenote to be the highlight, certainly a bucket list item, and a great way for me to spend my birthday. I am interested in sacred Mayen culture and Tania was able to offer information about several sites in Cozumel to satisfy my curiosity. There is a lot included for the price of this tour and I think for people who enjoy a more quiet experience, this would be educational and enjoyable. I have told several friends about it, including some locals, who also want to do this. Enjoy!

Our tour guide Julio was the best!!! We booked a snorkel and cenote tour but the surf was incredibly rough so we just went on a bar tour on the west side of island and cenote visit which was a blast!
The water in the cenote is kinda 🥴 but it was cool to see it.
They also allowed us to add an extra friend to our tour which was very accommodating.
The jeep we had definitely needed service but it got where we needed to go.
Also appreciated the small group we had vs wry one’s other companies had.
We would def. Use them again!
Cheers Julio! 🍻

We were debating renting a car and exploring the Island on our own but had already booked the Jeep excursion so we waited to see what it was all about first... we are so happy we waited because this excursion turned out to be absolutely amazing. First, they were great when our friend got sick from an allergic reaction and we were able to switch our day. Second, Sergio who was our tour guide showed up smiling and so welcoming. We thought the tour was a strict schedule but we're pleasantly surprised when Sergio told us we could go wherever we wanted and do whatever we wanted. He was so accommodating and we truly enjoyed his company as he shared a little about himself and the island throughout the day. They brought us to Tortugas for lunch and ended up loving it so much we went back another day. Great view, staff, and food. I STRONGLY recommend this excursion if you want to explore the island. Price was great and you have a private tour guide for half the day.

I had an amazing experience on this excursion with my husband and daughter during our cruise. Everything was punctual, and the tour guides were excellent, providing us with cold water throughout. Just a heads up, it's geared towards couples, so if it's just the two of you, you'll share a jeep with another couple. First stop was caves: we started by jumping into refreshing water in caves, despite them looking a bit mossy. The fruit bats were cute and non-disruptive. The knowledgeable and entertaining tour guide kept us laughing. Tequila tasting was a fun highlight, leaving us pleasantly buzzed and in high spirits. The snorkeling, though uncomfortable equipment-wise, was made up for by the abundance of fish and clear water. Overall, we returned to our cruise tired but content, having had a blast. Thanks to the team!

Tour was supposed to begin never started till 9:40. The keep we were given had no seatbelts, air, or radio and was filthy inside. The stops on the excursion were awful and the snorkeling. If u were lucky enough to get equipment(we weren’t) no one in the group enjoyed this trip. Pick something else for sure

Best excursion ever! We were all alone with the tour guide Cati. We happen to be the first tour of the day, so we got to each location before anyone else. We experienced nature without any loud tourists and enjoyed the sound of nature. She took us off-roading a bit through the jungle and was very knowledgeable. The Cenotes were natural so were not crystal clear/manmade. The snorkeling at Tortugas was amazing, especially if you're a newbie. We didn't have to swim out far from the beach, no boat needed, we had schools of fish surrounding us the whole time. The food at Tortugas was a bit pricey, as expected for a tourist spot, but excellent. Daniel at the Tequila Museum was knowledgeable and personable, great guy!
