We were on a Royal Caribbean Cruise and the night before we were to be at the port in Cozumel, we decided to book a last minute private excursion. We were able to choose a time from several options throughout the day, which was really convenient vs the only one or two choices when going on an excursion booked with the cruise line. There are several cruise piers and hotels on the island, and when making your reservation, you just choose which one you're at and they'll come pick you up at a pre-determined spot near your location. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is that the instructions they provide for where exactly to meet your driver is pretty vague, especially if you're not familiar with the area. We had to ask a local where a landmark was that we were supposed to meet the driver, and even then, when we got to the meeting spot/landmark, there weren't any signs or kiosk or anything like that, to know where exactly we were supposed to meet our driver. We found a bench to sit on and wait in the general area near the landmark and hoped the driver would find us, which is what eventually happened. Even the driver said he had been looking for us, and we were exactly where the directions said to be. So if the company reads this, I would suggest putting up a sign or have the driver carry a sign or be more specific as to where exactly near the landmark to meet the driver. As far as the actual excursion, it was a great experience and we're glad we did it. The driver, unfortunately I don't recall his name, was very nice, professional and accommodating. The excursion is normally scheduled for 4-5 hours, with a pre-planned route to show you around the island, including lunch and some snorkeling or swimming if you want. We only had 2 hours before we wanted to be back at the ship so we just told the driver the few places we knew we wanted to see and visit and then asked him to suggest any other places he thinks we should see and experience. He was more than happy to work with us and gave us a great tour of most of the island. We didn't have the lunch or go snorkeling or swimming but that was our choice. We did get to see the other side of the island, which we strongly suggest if you get the chance to go on this excursion. It's a protected area with beautiful beaches and gorgeous views, without all of the tourists, and only a few locals here and there. Overall, this private excursion was a great experience and I highly recommend it if you want to do your own thing and have your own private excursion that you can tailor to your wants and that fits your schedule.

Book this trip! This is not an excursion I would typically book but it came highly recommended by someone at our resort. We had the best tour guide, Jerry. He was so knowledgeable and friendly, we asked him to take us to the places he thought we should see and he did not disappoint!
Our first stop was the Marina where he explained the history or the island and the surrounding bodies of water.
Second, he took us to Reyes tequila for a tequila tasting. I'm not a tequila drinker but their tequila was so delicious and they had so many flavors too!
After the tequila tasting Jerry took us to Pueblo Del Maiz which was my favorite part of the excursion (this is a must see!) There, we made tamales, chocolate, and learned about the Mayan culture.
The next stop on the trip was to the beach where we saw the rock formations and natural arches (great photo op)
From there, Jerry took us to the Eco park where we saw many fish, crocodiles, birds and had the most amazing lunch on the beach.
This was one of the best excursions of any vacation I've ever been on and I highly recommend checking it out. Thank you so much Jerry for an amazing experience!

The Jeep tour was so much fun! This is definitely a great way to see the island and it was nice to leave the resort in a Jeep!

Memo was our private driver on the jeep tour. He is honestly the best tour guide that I have ever experienced during my time in Cozumel. Not only is he hilarious and has stories for days! (He kept us laughing the entire time, definitely has an easy-going personality as well.) He is a local and is very knowledgeable about the island.

Memo went above and beyond in his customer service and I had a great experience on the Jeep tour. From small things like opening the car door, helping carry our bags from shopping for souvenirs to having incredible conversation about life.

I had two special requests during our time together: fresh juice and local honey. Both requests were successfully fulfilled and it was some of the best fresh juice I have had in a long time!

Thank you Memo for going above and beyond during our day excursion together on the island. When you book this tour definitely request him as your private guide, you will not regret it!

First off, we were picked up by one guy with 2 Jeeps. He said I’m driving this one and someone will have to drive the other. He then took us to a “tequila factory”, which was more like someone’s backyard with a cow tied up and some chickens running around. There were hatchets everywhere and it was very unnerving. Then we drove to the east side of the island, which was very pretty. When we stopped to take pictures, we were provided one bottle each of hot water; there was NO BEER as mentioned in the ad. We then drove to a restaurant where we had to purchase our food and drinks and were pressured by many vendors to buy their things. Our next stop was supposed to be lunch so I am unsure why they felt the need to stop at a place where we had to purchase things. We never got to snorkel due to the “weather”, even though it was a beautiful day. This tour is NOT customizable; they take you to their friends places. It is a total scam so buyers beware and purchase elsewhere.

My family and I had a rough start to our excursion. There is NO hotel pick up and NO help to book a ferry to get to the island. The ferry can be hectic so check the times and availability and be in line 30-45 minutes before your departure. So we met up with our guide, Daniel, a hour later due to the ferries. My group of six got into our jeep and jumped right into it. My kids absolutely loved snorkeling. Daniel was so patient and great with the kids. We had lunch at the club house and the food was great! Such a nice and quiet place for our group. After lunch we went to Eco Park. It was a bit of a snooze fest for my younger kids (3 and 5 year olds) as there is very little to do there. Great spot for pictures and fun Tequila tasting, Daniel was very knowledgeable about the history of the island. After that our trip had come to an end, we headed back to the town square and parted ways. We stuck around for some snacks and shopping.
Overall my kids had fun and that's the most important. Wish they could've been more up front with about the hotel pick up, but for the price, I would give them another try.

We had so much fun getting away from the tourist area. Our guide, Jerry, was so awesome and showed us the best hidden gems. We loved snorkeling at Tortugas Beach and the hilltop restaurant, Coconuts, has the best view of the ocean. He was funny and really knew the local history. Hopefully our trip to the Fertility Goddess Temple at San Gervasio Ruins will help us expand our family ☺️. Gracias Jerry!

First off: Ask for Julio as a driver. He's great and knowledgeable.

My fiance and I did this and we loved the whole thing. It was a full day of interesting things and places to see all at once we otherwise wouldn't have been able to do. We weren't able to snorkel because of the weather, which is disappointing, but uncontrollable. Initially I wanted to drive, but since there was two of us, and I wouldn't have been able to look around as we drove, I am glad I didn't do that. Especially since Julio knew were to go and what to do. He even let us pick our priority of places and decide where we could go and what we could do, so nothing was set in stone.

I recommend you bring plenty of cash for tips and purchasing items at places you visit, as well as entry fees. Also, tip your driver/tour guide well when it's all said and done.

First and foremost I would like to say that Arturo is the man. He knew so much about Cozumel, from the history and culture to the local hotspots and hidden gems. He catered our tour toward our wants (we decided to opt out of the tequila tasting and went cliff diving instead) and was extremely personable. Our tour started on time at our resort, we were able to see so much of Cozumel and ended up with some amazing photo opportunities. We also ended up driving through the downtown Cozumel area, and were shown some cool places to eat/shop. The tour ended at Tortugas and the snorkeling was decent, but honestly the highlight of the tour was Arturo and his excellent hospitality.

I would recommend taking this tour early in your stay in case you decide to explore more of the island on your own.

I'll start by saying this, our tour guide was amazing. Miguel was very nice and talked to us the entire time. He took us exactly where we wanted to go and even helped us buy something from his wife at the shop she worked at. Thank you for an awesome time Miguel.

With that being said, I would suggest that instead of booking this trip, just rent a car. Apparently they no longer drive the cars for you. Which meant my fiance had to drive, so he couldn't drink like he wanted to. It says you only need to drive 10 min out of the city and other reviewers talked about the tour guides driving. We were told that wasn't possible. Not only that, I emailed them weeks prior to the trip stating we did not want to drive. Do you think they responded? Of course not.

The island is small and beautiful amd surprisingly easy to get around. So I guess I should thank the tour company for making my fiance drive. Now when we come back, we are more than happy to rent a car and take ourselves around. You will save a lot of money that way.

The tour was very enjoyable! We started off with some tequila tasting, went on to visit some Mayan ruins, and then tour the rest of the west coast. The snorkeling was great, the Jeeps were smooth and comfortable, and our tour guide, Julio, was amazing! He was super knowledgeable, helpful, and funny. Wonderful experience, I would just recommend that you bring some extra cash along for the tour.
