    Riviera Maya 2023 vacation
I will highly recommend this transporting company. My flight was delayed and the driver Hugo called me and told me not to worry that he was out there waiting for us. He found us immediately and directed us to the van and helped with all of our luggage. And then proceeded to introduce himself and was also a great guide explaining us everything about the area. I will be requesting him for sure on our next trip.

Not what I ordered but had fun anyway
I’ll be honest, at first I was a bit wary bc this was not the experience I asked my Delta vacations rep for but it ended up being such a fun experience. My teenage daughter & I did the half day horse back riding, cenotes, zip line, and atv riding. We both had a blast! Our guide, George, was not only fun but he helped me conquer my fear of heights so I could zip line w/ my daughter. He was sincere in his encouragement and that meant a lot. There’s also a tequila tasting at the end but make sure to go early bc it sells out quickly (plus the later I’m the day the hotter).

Ricardo and Miguel the best Tour team!
We took the Chichen-Itza express tour with Ricardo and Miguel. They both were fantastic and made us feel safe and provided us with the best service and information about Chichen-Itza. Miguel got us to Chichen-Itza and back in record time and made us feel super safe. He was very pleasant and hospitable! Ricardo was our tour guide with a wealth of knowledge and he did an amazing job telling us the history about Chichen-Itza and Mexico which helped us further understand this great archaeological site and the importance around every aspect of this site. Ricardo was super pleasant and fun to talk to and super helpful like Miguel. Both make a great team and did an amazing job with the tour. Thanks for making our trip memorable!

Fun Excursion @ the Mayan ruins + Swimming in the Cenotes!
My friends and I had so much fun on this excursion! We did a day tour at the Mayan ruins, had an authentic Mexican lunch (was not included in the package but price was reasonable) then headed over to the cenotes of casa tortugas. We learned a lot at the Mayan ruins all thanks to our great guide Jerry! He was very knowledgable and passionate about the history of the Mayans and it was an eye opening experience. The cenotes was a great way to end the excursion since it was a hot day - we felt super refreshed and relaxed floating through the cenotes! It was a great day overall and I would definitely book through here again. I would recommend this excursion to anyone trying to explore outside their resort. Thank you to our guide Jerry and driver Jamie for getting us there and back safely!

    Beware.
After Isla Mujeres, Cancun was a sorry mass of concrete, busy streets, tall buildings, and loud music. One night, for early access to the airport, was enough. No problems, seemed safe enough in the hotel compound, but geez. Beach was crowded and covered with trash. Piles of trash in corners and rocky crevices. Not a place I would take my family. We did find one restaurant that was delightful. Quiet, great service, doors on the ceiling. Across the street from Jim Carey’s disaster. It was such a relief to find it. Sorry, I can’t remember the name. An interesting visit. Maybe young people will find it fun. We did not. Thank God for 7-11 coffee! Oh, and taxicab driver took us for an expensive ride from the ferry to our hotel. I gave him the address, but he claimed it was miles away. Turned out it was a few blocks from the ferry. Beware.

Very professional and courteous. Our flight was over an hour delayed, and driver Abbi waited for us even though we had no communications with him throughout the delay process

We were delayed almost 40 minutes and the driver waited the whole time!!
We couldn't find the driver at first and it worried us because the people there weren't familiar with the company name, but when i called the number they informed us the driver was there and to wait at one spot. Sure enough, the driver walked up to us in less than 5 minutes( he waited in the car since we were so delayed). Both of our drivers (to hotel and back to airport) were very friendly. I definitely recommend!

Our experience was awesome Edwin and Alexandro were the best. They gave us an excellent tour and explained the culture to us. I felt like I was living a history channel documentary that I saw about the Mayans!

    Great fun!
I thought this might be a little overrated before we went, but it was actually awesome, and I really enjoyed it. Driving the speedboat was a lot of fun, and you get to navigate through the mangrove inlets as well as drive fast in the open water. The snorkelling was much better than expected - so many fish, all different kinds, and there was plenty of space to float away on your own away from others. The tour guide was also very friendly. Great tour!

    Reliable service
Even though we may have paid too much, booking through Trip Advisor, I was glad I did it this way because I had access to US-based customer service which came in handy twice during the one trip. I liked this company because they have excellent drivers who gave me confidence by their manner and professionalism, clean vehicles, timely service. I felt very safe.

    Happy Customer
I’m very happy to have chosen Cancun Travel Transportation. My flight arrived on time; however, my luggage took forever to pick up. I reached out to the transportation company and they were very accommodating. Hugo, the driver, was amazing..He made the drive to the hotel pleasant. Very happy to have really chosen them.

My girls and I had such a fun time! The Mayan ruins were so cool and it was nice that Layla had so much information to give us about everything. It was so hot so I recommend bringing a hat, sunscreen, big spray, and a lot of water! I wore sandals with straps on my heels and that was perfectly fine. But I would definitely dress light because it was hot and humid. The swim was wonderful and plenty of time to enjoy it. There were changing rooms and at the end a tequila tasting. I recommend this tour! I wish I brought more cash for tipping everybody but I forgot we needed the $15 for the cenote fee. 😬

It began with a comfortable, air-conditioned bus ride accompanied by a very helpful driver and a brilliant tour guide, Layla.
Our first stop was at Tulum, a breathtaking Mayan city by the sea. Here, we started with a very informative tour where we learned not only about the city itself but also Mayan society and their beliefs. After the tour, we were given about 40 minutes to explore the city by ourselves, which we mainly spent taking pictures of the many iguanas that have made their home on the ruin's grounds.
Remember to be prepared if going July/August, as we were applying sunscreen almost every 20 minutes to keep ourselves from burning! Layla was extra prepared and brought an umbrella/parasol, which was a fantastic way to beat the heat.

After this visit to Tulum, we then went on a short bus ride to the Cenote to cool down. The Cenote itself was beautiful and the water's temperature was exactly what we needed after the heat of the midday sun!

The time flew by and before we knew it we were saying goodbye to the other guests who we had befriended on the trip and spent the evening reviewing the scenic photos we had taken of the two amazing locations.

Would definitely recommend!!

The only thing I would have changed would have been to spend a little more time at each of these locations so that we could explore a little more, but we realized that the timings worked out perfectly to arrive back at our accomodations for mid-afternoon.

The ruins were astonishing of course, but the guided part is unnecessary when you can pay for the entrance fee and walk around without them. There is already informative signs all over the site, so the guide is a bit redundant. Our guide made us feel rushed the entire time, with little to no time for bathroom, food or souvenirs. Our guide, Linda?, actually chastised my wife about respecting other people’s time when we were 5 min late returning to the meetup spot. At that point we grabbed our things off the shuttle and decided not to continue on to the river swim with her. Always check ahead of time which excursions you actually need a guide, because you don’t for the Ruins or Casa Tortuga. We love Tulum, and the other tours with did with Mexico Kan Tours were amazing, just won’t use this company again.

Dear Y8155OPiant Thank you taking the time to review our Tulum Day-Trip Mayan Ruins With Cenote Swim, we take your words very seriously and will share them with our team. We stand by our decision to make this a guided tour. It brings us joy to know of returning visitors to our Mayan Heritage, but a vast mayoritiy of our guests are newcomers and thus, a professional Tour Guide is a must to ensure the mayority of our guests receive the attention and information signs can't provide. Our guide Layla, knows our goal is to provide a concise and full experience for everyone, because of this, our time at each stop is measured and finite. As you correctly state, it is of the most importance to check and even double-check the specifications of your tour. A great recommendation one would immensely benefit by following. We regret your experience not being up to your expectations but we must double down on why our tour is such a highly rated experience. We owe it to our guides and staff, they are by no means, unnecesary. We hope you has a wonderful time during your stay. The Travel Experience Group

This was a great experience. Our tour guide, Layla, was amazing in telling us the story behind the ruins and the cenote. Guided tours are great for the curious-minded rather than those who prefer to tour themselves and save money. Our driver, Miguel, was an awesome guy too. My friend and I got the chance to seat at the front, so we got to see the road, which was perfect for filming vlogs. The cenote experience in Casa Tortuga was great too. Be prepared to swim though since you won't float here as easy as in saltwater. I'd recommend bringing water, a hat/cap or umbrella, sunblock, and if you're like me who easily sweats, a face towel.

After some careful research we decided to book with this company and we weren’t disappointed.
The pick-up was on time, the van was comfortable and the guide Layla is very knowledgeable and kind. She shared great information all the way to Tulum, which made the journey more enjoyable.
The visit is not long but we felt it’s the adequate length as it is very hot and very little shade is available.
Once again Layla explained everything in a very clear way and answered any questions promptly.
We then travelled to the cenote which was very beautiful and refreshing. We really enjoyed the swim there.

Overall it was a good day and I would not hesitate to recommend.

A special thanks to Layla and to Miguel, our driver.

With thanks,
(Portuguese family)

We had a fabulous experience with our tour guide Jerry Garcia and our driver Luis Miguel!! They are truly top notch with safe & smooth driving, getting us into the sites quickly (bypassing the long lines), and giving helpful tips and insights to make the most of our time exploring the Tulum archaeological site, learning about Mayan culture & swimming in the casa Tortuga cenote. We were picked up from a hotel near where we are staying in Playa del Carmen and there were 2 more quick pickups along the way. I also appreciated the small group size, which ended up being 10 people total in the van. I highly recommend this tour!

Day trips are expensive on the Mayan Riviera. We chose this one to see the main Tulum ruins and see a cenote (Casa Tortuga) in one go. Overall I would say our guide was helpful, pick up from the hotel was convenient and in time and the guide, Silvester was knowledgeable about Mayan history.
Deducted one star as not enough time at the Cenote and the guide took himeself off for a pizza - it would have been much better if he had explained the different cenotes and the depth (as we were with kids who are not strong swimmers). The guide is clearly not a swimmer and was not too bothered about helping us get the most out of our 90 minutes there.
Overall not bad value by local standards but is is an extra $15 per person entry to the Cenote, so bear that in mind

Overall we did enjoy this excursion, it took about 5-6 hours total which was more than enough when part of a group tour.

We felt the guided tour of the Tulum ruins was a little lacking, and could have been made more interesting. Our guide was very friendly and nice, just on old school way of presenting information which wasn’t really our style.

If we were to do this again, we would just visit each site individually. It would cost less money and would allow you to spend time the way you wanted to spend it.

Mary and Layla were excellent guides - very organized, funny, and great storytellers. I had fun and learned a lot in a short time. They were also very organized and thoughtful of our needs to maximize our time and make pit stops. The only thing I’d change was the communication around timing for the tour. The web site says it lasts 8am to 2pm but it lasted from 9am to 5pm for us (we were at the Iberostar Quetzal). Also they could be more communicative about where to meet them at the pickup spot in the morning.
