About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- lilianapP9636AZ0 contributionsWorth the trip and the price!!!This excursion was so much fun! Our guide Carlos was an absolute doll from the moment we were picked up in Playacar. He had such a sweet demeanor and helped make the experience a memory of a lifetime. His cheerful attitude was contagious. Unfortunately, I got stuck with a boring crowd but still got up danced and sang! The food was good. The mixed drinks were cans which I don't like so I stuck to shots. The picture package was totally worth it. The colors, the music and the service were spectacular! It was xochimilco plus disneyland and I would do it every time I visit Cancun. If you like spanish music, all regions were paid due respect and I danced at every turn! Highly recommended!!!Written November 26, 2024
- 3levk0 contributionsTulum and Cenotes tour with Diveit agencyOn June 18, 2024, my wife and I took a Tulum and Cenotes tour. I ordered it through Viator back home. The tour was provided by the local agency Diveit. This agency communicated very well with us, sending messages reminding us about the excursion and telling us when they would pick us up. We were able to communicate with them only through messages. Our minibus, with a capacity of up to 20 people, arrived at our JW Marriott hotel 10 minutes after the scheduled time due to the flooding of the streets. It was fine with us because it was very early in the morning, at 6:50. We drove about 50 minutes to another hotel, where we picked up the rest of the group. We had 13 passengers in the van, two guides, and a driver. I was surprised to see two guides for such a small group, but one of the guides told me that the agency would add a second guide if more than ten people were going on the tour. Our driver, Joe, picked us up from the hotel, and later, we were joined by another guide, Leo. The second guide came with the larger group after they joined us about 50 minutes later. It was not an easy morning to drive because Cancun had tremendous rain the previous night, and many streets were flooded. Our driver, Joe, was conscientious driving around, and Leo informed us what we would do and what we would see. We stayed in Tulum for about one hour and, after a short ride, arrived at Cenotes, a breathtaking experience for all of us. Our guides and the driver were very helpful to some of us who could not manage swimming. A few days later, we took a tour with another company to Chichen Itza, but it was about 45 people with just a single guide on the bus. As a suggestion to future travelers, I recommend against traveling to Cancun during the rainy season. However, when it comes to tours, I can't recommend the DiveIt agency enough. Our experience with them was exceptional, and I'm confident they would provide the same level of service regardless of the season. Good TravelsWritten July 5, 2024
- spacerocky0 contributionsChichen Itza and Cenote SamaalGreat trip and worth it. Was a super long day, literally spent more time riding in the bus than in the Cenote 1 hours or at Chichen Itza 2 hours. Loved the little Short visit to Valladolid definitely not long enough to dive into the city's history and culture.Written May 8, 2024
- jolantag3100 contributionsCancun Mayan Tours violets tourists personal dataIn 21st of November I took this excursion and my personal data have been used against my will. Cancun Mayan Travel has no control of what Contoy Adventures who is handling the tour is doing with your personal data. I have been forced to take a picture and was explained that this is for the registration when I clearly stated that Indont want any picture next to the old steering wheel. When I asked mother epmloyee who was boarding us, what they do with the pictures they told that they send it to the office and they are never deleted. When we were returning from the tour I saw the photographer with the printed pictures taken at the beginning and selling them to the tourists! It is third day I am fighting with Cancun Mayan Travel, Stap Travel & Tours viator.com to have a written confirmation that my picture has been deleted balexause after asking twice the photographer never deleted it. He just told me he that he deleted but it was never with my presence. Regarding the trip, the trip is horrible snorkeling is in the dark water and you never reach Playa Norte you have to walk by yourself 20 min. You are being guided to the store with diamonds to lose your precious time on Isla Mujeres. You have only one hour of free time on Isla Mujeres during lunch and 2 hours to reach by yourself Playa Norte so for the beach time you have o my one hour. The tour starts in Punta Sam which is super far from the hotel zone, there are many more trips from the hotel zone to Isla Mujeres. Absolutely don’t recommend it!Written November 23, 2023

- Gnat9590 contributionsFalse advertisementThis post is false advertisement. It says all inclusive alcohol but the park doesn’t even allow alcohol inside. They have closed liquor or beer you can PURCHASE at the end in the gift shop. The people running my tour didn’t even have a clue when I showed them this post nor did the employees inside the park. The only reason I booked this post was because of the all inclusive alcohol but I could have booked cheaper ones through a different company. The employees inside the park even told me to report this post. Absolutely ridiculous anyone would think this is ok.Written February 2, 2023
- 912brandicem0 contributionsForced ImprisonmentForced imprisonment! This trip was absolute chaos, chock full of “hurry up and wait” moments that lasted for hours and a majority of the 15-hour day was spent being pitched to buy junk. We probably spent more time at the Mayan version of “South of the Border” than at our main attraction - Chichen Itzá. We were picked up at 7am (missing our hotel’s breakfast) and then waited until about 9:30 for the bus to leave. We had only wanted to go to Chichen Itzá but did a half dozen other things, bringing us to Chichen Itzá at the hottest point of the day. Tour guide at Chichen Itzá was quite rude to the guests - even telling a guest that answered a question correctly that he is smarter than he looks. Our way home was chaotic - we were dropped on the edge of the highway and told to get in a small van, which took us all over Playa Carmen before our final stop - making us miss our dinner reservation for my friend’s 50th birthday celebration - we arrived at the restaurant as they were closing!Written February 21, 2022

- denaef20200 contributionsGood effort....but too long of a dayPros: the excursions are fantastic if you like being on your own. For thos reason I did not enjoy playa del carmen Friendly guides They pick u up at your hotel Cons: Too much wasted time on travel. It was a 12 hour day and 7 were spent on the bus My shuttle driver was a lil reckless in evening. I think he wanted to get home. Driving over potholes and almost got in a wreck at one point. Ultimately he got a flat tire....but he did flag down another shuttle to get me home I also double booked for 2 and due to an emergency only used one booking. Im out 60.00 ....Written October 10, 2021
- JaymeDa70 contributionsAwesome Tour.. Petty Camera Men!So booked this tour for a large party July 16th. Had a great time on the boat. We did snorkeling, which was awesome to see the fish and statues on the bottom of the ocean floor. Then we stopped to have a delicious lunch. We swam in the beach area for a bit and then took the boat to another beach area where we swam for a few hours. The boat crew were nice. They were kind and lively. It really was a great time on the boat. DISLIKES: **We had an issue with one camera guy that turned into also the other camera guy on boat..complete jerks. I was in the middle of taking a picture of some family. One in particular cut directly in front of me and started taking pictures.. I guess I am just non existent. So I was standing by to finish what I was doing and he got upset that I was standing by.. We allowed him to continue photographing everyone, which he took a bunch of photos of everyone in my group including my family. Then refused to show me any of the pictures he took, which I understand it's his camera, but how extremely PETTY.. Definitely would have purchased a few, but I guess his ego got the best of him or he really dislikes white woman. Written August 7, 2021

- josephdP9206VF0 contributionsexciting adventureThis was a high enthusiasm trip. Drinks are included on the boat rides, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. We wish we would have had a little more leisure time on the beach, but we enjoyed the trip overall.Written December 31, 2020
- 358darrins0 contributionsGreat Chichen Itza experience! We had a wonderful time! Galo was great and made this a day to remember.
