Nice place to spend a little time when you're in this mall. Go there at nightfall for the sunset. We went with kids, they liked it.

I had some time and decided to go to the mall to check it out. When I saw the ferres wheel, I thought: Why not? And I'm glad I did. It didn't last very long and I felt safe at all times. When you arrive they take some fun pictures of you that you can buy at the end. I think this would be a great experience for couples and even families. The views were amazing, pictures don't do justice. I went around sunset time.

We stumbled upon this while meandering through Las Isla Mall and just so happen to be there during Sunset. What a spectacular way to see the sun setting over Cancun. Along the way we saw the Mexican dancers on the pole. This is a must do.

Los fotógrafos, que nos vendieron las fotos después del final, se mostraron especialmente dispuestos a hacerlas antes de la cabalgata. beautiful view! only the organization was weak, we were told they would open in 5 minutes, but we waited more than hours. there was also a problem with the VIP-cabin that our acquaintances ordered. The photographers, who sold us the photos after the end, were especially willing to do them before the ride.

Excellent way to get great views of the city! We had a very short wait, $15 USD a person and a relatively lengthy, air-conditioned ride. Very fun! Glad we went.

After buying a combo ticket at the Aquarium, we queued up for the ferris wheel. Right before boarding the cabin the guy told us that we need to exchange our tickets before boarding. He took us back to the ticket stall, with a queue of ~one hour. We finally have up. They have wasted our time, and were not at all helpful. Very disappointed.

“The Cancun Sun”, also known as the “Rueda Gigante de Cancun” or the Ferris Wheel, is located in the La Isla Shopping Village at about km. 11 on Blvd. Kukulkan (the strip) in the Hotel Zone in Cancun. It’s open from about 2 PM until 10 PM (during this period, but under normal circumstances, it’s usually open until 1 AM). During the day, you have better views from the Ferris wheel, but it is illuminated at night, so it’s prettier to see. The best time would ideally be at sunset. The ride lasts about 15 minutes and you go around about 4 times, if I remember correctly. The cost was a bit expensive (about $15 USD), but worth it. Oh yeah, kids under 4 ride free.

the view is spectacular, the cabins have air conditioning and they are spacious. it is only three laps but we enjoyed it. It's a little expensive

Fantastic way to see the area and a nice air conditioned car is even better The ride is $15.00 per person and last about 5-10 minutes depending on how the crowds are. Loved the aerial view of the bay and ocean and gives you a real perspective of the city. They are in the process of adding another wheel on the next block and it will be completed sometime early April.

It was $15 per person but the units where we sat were air conditioned. Nice view of the city & ocean.

The shopping was great. Large number of stores and many had reasonable prices on souvenirs and clothing. Pier bar mixed drinks average $14

It goes around 3 or 4 times. It's 60 meters high. The carts are air conditioned. They take your picture and sell it to you at the end for $12usd. Most hotels give you a $3 off coupon.

It wasn’t easy convincing anyone to go in this Ferris wheel of sorts. It’s very high and many in our group have a fear of heights, but Kim and I decided days ago that we would do this ride. It was great at sunset and we could see so much from up high. It’s such a smooth ride you barely register how high you’re going. I did not feel any fear even though I, myself, am claustrophobic. The only ref I have is to check all pics to ensure people’s eyes are open. If not, do a free Re-take. Kim has eyes closed, so the only pic we could choose was the silly one we did. We sent our kids on without us...but they loved it. They described being able to see so far in every direction. Enjoyed very much.

Family of 7 visited. Very friendly and helpful. Was no queue at all. Air conditioned booth. No pressure to buy photos at the end (thank you!!!). If you are scared of heights it may not be for you- quite quick and high! Great views of Cancun we went between 6.30-7.00pm saw the beginning of a beautiful sunset.
