We did a lot of water activities with Aquaworld and every single one was AMAZING. The quality of the activities and the staff was impeccable!! We did the jungle tour with snorkeling with Leo and he was so kind and patient with us as this was our first time snorkeling and he made an effort to point cool marine life out to us. The next day we went to Isla Mujeres with a group and crew members on a boat. The ride to and back was super fun, the crew was hilarious and they played good music and offered free alcohol and made good drinks. Muneco, Luis, and other crew members really are great people. They knew it was our honeymoon and made it extra special with dancing and group pictures. Isla Mujeres was so beautiful and tequila tasting was included which was really cool! Riding the golf cart around the Isla for a 30$ fee was also a great experience and we recommend that as well. We did parasailing on the beachfront with a jet ski ride out to the boat. The parasailing gave us amazing views of Cancun and we felt completely safe doing it with such a professional team such as Aquaworld. Lastly, I did scuba diving in the reef and that was the best experience of my life! I was scared at first but Rafael was my instructor for the class and really eased my mind. The class itself taught in the pool was fun but man once you get 35 ft down in the water and see all the natural coral reef and marine life its spectacular!! Aquaworld should be your first and only option when it comes to any water activities you want to do! We will definitely be having fun with them again one day!

Was just what we wanted. I'm not comfortable in the water, but our "snorkel master" had me hold on to a life ring and pulled me along; while at the same time "herding" the other 20 - 25 snorklers in our group. All of the crew were great; taking care of young children, the young man who got seasick twice (although the wave were minimal)

This was an amazing tour. The energy and fun started right away so be prepared to get the party started early. The crew was definitely a highlight for me. They were full of energy and were very attentive and also made sure everyone was taken care of the entire ride to the island. The snorkeling was fun but definitely recommend that you’re a good swimmer since the water can be a little choppy. Didn’t get to see a lot of fish but you never know with nature. Isla mujeres was beautiful and would definitely recommend renting the golf cart. The second stop was also great. Lots to do and you get a taste of Mexican culture. I would definitely do it again! Thank you Aquaworld and thank you to everyone on the crew! You guys are amazing!

This trip was pretty terrible and not at all what the excursion agent described. You only sail a bit at the end to get back to mainland. The rest of the time it's just ferrying you from one quick stop to another.
The snorkeling was terrible, and we decided to not do it. No flippers were provided, and you had to swim very fast across the reef 400 meters to the other side. There was no time to actually see anything. You are also in the middle of hundreds of other swimmers trying to do the same thing.
The food provided during the lunch break was absolutely awful, and I was sick the next day. It was buffet style, and I don't think they even attempted to season the food.
Touring Isla Mujeres itself was fine. You get plenty of time on your own but beware to actually see much you need to pay additional money for a golf cart that they don't tell you about until you're on the boat. You pay an additional $40 for 1 hour of use, which is honestly not enough time to get to the south end of the island where the ruins are and back.
There is no "beach club with kayaks, lounge areas, and drinks." This was a lie. We did not get to enjoy the beach or kayaking. We were dropped off in deep water far from the shore, where the current instantly takes you away from the boat. The crew did not pay attention and barely helped anyone back on the boat. Someone could drown. The crew were all very nice but focused more on creating a party atmosphere than paying attention to swimmers.
Any resort that promotes this excursion should stop. It reflects poorly on them for letting a company get away with this and takes an entire day from your vacation that you cannot get back.

Snorkel should be in quotation marks. What a horrible, expensive joke.
The Aquaworld rep at Dreams Natura sold us this as a small catamaran with about a dozen people on it and it was NOT a booze cruise or loud, as we impressed on him that we did NOT want that. Imagine our surprise after getting to Cancun and seeing that our catamaran has 70 people on board and the music is pounding.
Then, in extremely rough water, they RUSH us off the boat for our "snorkel", not even allowing time for us to get our flippers on. With the mandatory life vest on, I was unable to get my flippers on in the extremely rough water and ended up getting pulled back onto the boat, as was my wife. We are both experienced snorkelers, and this was just ridiculous. Then, we see that the "snorkelers" were actually all pulled back onto the boat within about 20 minutes.
20 minutes of snorkeling on an all day excursion is not a good snorkeling excursion for a couple who only wanted to snorkel. So we were stuck on this booze cruise all day and feel like we wasted an expensive day in Mexico. On contacting Aquaworld, it was suggested that we could not get a refund since we attended the excursion. I imagine we were supposed to leap off the boat when we saw what a joke the "snorkeling" was?
I see some others were sold this excursion as something else as well. I am hoping we can stop our credit card payment if nobody gets back to us before we leave tomorrow. Really upsetting, an expensive upsetting waste on an expensive vacation.

It’s a booze cruise.
Not good for families, older people who don’t want to party or if you don’t drink.

Booked this trip via the website. The website reservation doesn’t connect with the check-in at Aquaworld location. I showed them the reservation e-mail and the folks let gave us the wristbands to go onto the ferry and beach club access at Isla Mujeres. Pay the reef fee in pesos or use a credit card and get another wristband. Ferry ride to and from had booming party music with an MC and bartenders passing around drinks. Alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages available on the ferry and at the beach. Folks that wanted to snorkel were able to stay on the boat and dropped off with a large group and guide. No explanation about what we were observing or species or anything. Just pointed us in the direction for swimming. Which was fine. Be aware for those that get motion sickness, I definitely started to get sick from the waves bouncing me around. Glad that we didn’t snorkel for too long or the fish would have been fed some of my breakfast. Got to the beach and since we didn’t fight our way to a shaded spot immediately we were stuck in the sun. Plenty of selection at the buffet, food was okay. We decided to rent a golf cart for $30 USD cash only. It was really fun. If you drive to Punta Sur be prepared to pay $2 per person. We decided not to since I had run out of extra cash at this point. Returning the golf cart downtown was very confusing. The return stop is at some diamond jewelry store. Shopping not my thing and wished I spent more time driving around the golf cart. Crew was nice and delayed departure for a late arriving guest both and even turned the boat around when the group was late again.
So, in conclusion, crew works hard to make sure you have a good time. Make sure you bring extra cash because they really work hard to engage the customers. If you like free drinks, loud music and partying, this is the experience for you. If you enjoy fighting the pushiest guests for prime seating, this is for you. If you prefer a more quiet relaxing experience, where you don’t have to push or be pushed look elsewhere.
So, in conclusion, crew works hard to make sure you have a good time. Make sure you bring extra cash because they really work hard to engage the customers. If you like free drinks, loud music and partying, this is the experience for you. If you enjoy fighting the pushiest guests for prime seating, this is for you. If you prefer a more quiet relaxing experience, where you don’t have to push or be pushed look elsewhere.

My 7 year old daughter was not able to snorkel due to “only strong swimmers” once on the boat away. This also meant my wife didn’t get to snorkel as someone had to stay on the boat with her.
Staff said she could snorkel at the beach. Also a lie. Beach is really not on this itinerary as sold with photos at resort. Also told us didn’t need towels they would be at the beach club. The beach club is not part of the experience to use just to look at as you are sat at a table to eat then wisked away from. Tried to us a chair at beach was told no, and “this beach isn’t good anyway”
Resort reps from this company wearing aqua world shirts sold.
You WILL be forced into their gift shops they have contracted with for referrals with your additional “discount wristband” so they can identify you for the kickbacks.
Then allowed to drag down to the public beach no water no towels no drinks no snorkeling as described. I’m not anti public beaches I live in Chicago and we frequent them. Just the kids didn’t get to snorkel as sold and was our last day.

We talked to lovely scuba instructor at the Haven Riviera resort in Cancun where we were staying for the week. We booked the island and snorkel trip, specifically with Aquaworld rather than the other adventure company at our resort because the brochure the salesperson showed us advertised the snorkel was 40 minutes. It was only 30 minutes with the other company. Once we showed up at the facility to board the boat, we were herded like cattle. And then when we got to the island everyone except for three people got off the boat and then the boat drove to the snorkel site. On the boat, the crew then said snorkeling would be 25 minutes. We jumped in the water and the crew never reviewed any safety items nor did they help with fitting masks properly. There was a man newer to snorkeling and he would’ve definitely had a better experience if his mask was fitted properly so it wasn’t leaking water the whole time. We are divers so we have our own equipment and how to put n a mask without instruction but I felt so sorry for this other guy. The crew didn’t help him at all. We were rushed along in the water, constantly swimming the whole time with life vests. The snorkeling site was terrible. We were too high up, waves were big, and who snorkels with a vest?! It was not ideal. We were in the water for 10 minutes. Literally snorkeling was sold to us at 40 minutes, then went down to 25 minutes, then ended up being for 10 minutes. The private island beach club was lame. We went for the snorkeling and it was lame. We should have either went diving just to get more diving hours or enjoyed all the amenities by staying at our resort. Lesson learned, will do more research next time! But beware of our experience.

The most miserable transportation to and from the port. If you're staying in Puerto Moralos area know that you have a tremendously cramped hour+ van ride each way. It essentially ruins the trip.
The boat and crew were professional and fun. As a sailor myself i noticed their diligence even while partying it up and encouraging guests to have a good time. Cannot say enough good things about the boat and crew, honestly wonderful people, especially Luis with his microphone. The photographer was very polite and took some great shots too.
If you are the type of person who prefers being guided and having a limited timeline/agenda this is for you. If not, simply taxi to Puerto Juarez (which is where the cat launches from anyway) and buy a ferry pass to Isla Mujeres (which is where you end up in downtown).
