About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 475nigeln0 contributionsTake this trip to TulaThis was a truly excellent trip. It was just my wife and I. The guide, Gabriel, was very competent (his timing of the visits and the drives was excellent, he knew exactly where he was going, he had his own itinerary around the sites that took in everything) and very knowledgeable -- knew a great deal about two very different periods (Classical and Postclassical for Tula, and then the Colonial period for the Jesuit monastery at Tepotzotlan), and knew a lot about a lot of different kinds of thing (political history, religion, flora and fauna, etc.). Political history and political art/architecture are my favorites, but a highpoint was when he showed that these insects (cochineals) that live on prickly pear trees produce a scarlet dye used in manuscript illuminations etc. Plus we have little Spanish, but his English was terrific. Great bang for the buck. More tourists should go to Tula -- maybe more memorable than Teotihuacan. Just brilliant.Written July 28, 2024
- pacoloco010 contributionsGot more than what we paid for.Received a whole lot more than what I expected. I thought we were just going to be driven to the different museums. Instead, We went around the city to see some of Diego's art works. We also stopped in Coyocan for lunch before the finally museum. I would diffidently recommend.Written May 5, 2024
- nadirv500 contributionsA Pleasant tripGabriel spoke fluent English and very knowledgeable.Learnt a lot and enjoyed Pueblo .Nothing much to see in Cholula. Just nice to visit, Coming back to Mexico City on a Sunday was horrendous .To drive20 miles took close to 2 hours.Written April 28, 2024
- michaelbQ4121ME0 contributionsPrivate tour to Palenque, Agua Azul and Misol HaEnjoyed the private our to all three sites. Had a driver which took me to all three and then an English speaking guide at Palenque who was good. Explained things well, took good photos and overall enough time spent. The driver gave me enough time at both waterfall sites and drove very well. Enjoyed the day trip!Written March 24, 2024
- Meadorm0 contributionsFrida Kahlo HouseGabriel was a great guide who was very knowledgeable about the social and political history in Mexico and how it was represented in art. We were bummed that the Diego studio was closed but the Frieda house was worth the trip.Written February 29, 2024
- 338patricioo0 contributionsGlad to have stopped!Met a great Spanish speaking guide Agustín. Maybe he speaks English also. Enjoyed the tour. Smaller than other archeological sites, but some really special things to see. Really unique. Fascinating plants also!Written January 23, 2024
- mariajR6663EK0 contributionsWorth it!Wow our tour guide was amazing! He knew so much about the city, local neighborhoods, and even gave us a little background of his life. Super safe, trustworthy man. Book it!Written November 30, 2023
- kennylE2297DZ0 contributionsPhenomenal experience with DanteMy private tour with Dante was exceptional. He was extremely knowledgeable about Diego and Frida's life, history, and art. Dante as well as the areas (Mexico City) and was able to connect all sites visited back to the history and influence of Diego and Frida.Written September 19, 2023
- Noah M0 contributionsTortureWe spent approximately 6 hours sitting in a tiny hot car. The traffic certainly wasn’t the fault of the tour guide or operator but it was an uncomfortable and boring day. The tour guide was 78 years old and very monotone and - I hate to say - boring. Tula itself is not as nice as most ruins I’ve been to in Mexico. There’s hardly anything there but the statues and what is there is reconstructed for the most part. We did not need two hours there walking around in the hot sun. Then the Pueblo Magico was so crowded and just filled with gift shops. The church is beautiful but no different than what you can see in Mexico City.Written July 22, 2023
- rexmundo770 contributionsWow, let the adventure startI will recommend this two places. Not to many tourists here. When I went here I was the only. You will learn a lot about the Native tribe Toltec. Go there and experience this two placesWritten July 9, 2023

- robertdG1250MF0 contributionsIncredible ruinsAlthough slightly off the beaten path in the Chiapas region it's definitely worth either driving to or taking a guided tour. The Temple of the inscriptions, Acropolis and the Temple of the Red Queen are without a doubt worth a visit! If going on your own I recommend taking the second entrance farther up you'll thank me later! There are bathrooms, drinks and food vendors available on site as well as parking for 50 pesosWritten May 28, 2023
- Tela9300 contributionsSurprise FeesWe decided to make a stop in Mexico City to visit one of my aunts who is having health issues. Wanted to do something we hadn’t done yet, with not too much walking but fun, this was it! Our guide had great information and took his time and gave us great information and entertained my aunt by letting her chime in the knowledge she has of the city. What had me confused and upset was that he let us know that the tour company needed $72.00 extra, in cash, in addition to what we had already paid. We asked what it was for and he shrugged his shoulders and said he had no idea but was informed he had to collect it from us before we left Xochimilco. Instead of fully enjoying the trajinera ride, I called (no answer) and was emailing the tour company to find out why. The last email stated that everything was taken care of and the enjoy our tour. As of yet we haven’t hear anything from them, so I know we were ripped off here, as my husband didn’t want to make a fuss and paid. I would HIGHLY advice to use a different company to do this tour.Written May 26, 2023
- makennajordyn0 contributionsA Great TourMy husband and I really enjoyed our tour with Salvador (Sal)! Even though the Tulum ruins were closed for construction, the Coba ruins were a great alternative (although a longer drive from our resort). Sal was incredibly knowledgable about the ruins and we sincerely enjoyed chatting and getting to know him on the drive. After the ruins, Sal took us to a wonderful Mayan restaurant, and while it was definitely a hole-in-the-wall, it was delicious. Lastly, the cenote was so refreshing, especially after walking around the ruins. We highly recommend this tour! Private is definitely the way to go.Written May 22, 2023
- Kent D0 contributionsInformative Tour GuideOur guide was very knowledgeable and informative. We learned a lot about what was happening socially and politically during the time Frida and Diego were alive.Written May 15, 2023

After a grueling four-hour van ride (we had been advised it was two hours which was fair enough), my family (sister & spouse, husband) were looking forward to being able to see a pink sand beach. In reality, it is a salt water flat where salt is extracted when flooded by seawater. As the water evaporates, salt is left and the minerals have a pink tinge. Do not believe you are going to be able to actually get near, but remember to bring binoculars so you can see anything.
Then lunch at a local eating spot, where we had delicious fish.
The boat ride was and hour and a half and we saw flamingos.
Then back to the van for our return four hour return ride.
The guide was terriffic (Ariel) and we enjoyed our commentary.
If you enjoy driving and seeing some local culture then enjoy. We would not have taken this tour had we know the timing. We blame Trip Advisor for not being forthcoming in their description.

Hello Marietta.
thanks for your review. We are sorry to hear that the driving time was greater than what you expected, but unfortunately from Cancun, there is no way to get faster to Rio Lagartos. At the same time, we are happy to know that our guide Ariel have been a good traveling companion.
Find us atyour disposal, for any other tour you would like to organize in Mexico.
Saludos!!!

The price listed is $87, when I booked for my daughter and I the price went up to $237 per person. What's up with the pricing?

Bonjour, y’a t-il une balade en Cuad ou en 4x4 ? Sur la miniature et la description de l’article il est mentionné qu’il est possible de faire du quad, cependant lorsque que je regarde dans les informations de l’excursion rien n’est mentionné.
Merci beaucoup.
