Annabel Lerma, the on-site representative at the hotel, was my main point of contact, and we connected through the hotel about a month before my trip. As this was my first visit to Cancun, I had many questions—some of which felt quite basic. However, Anna patiently answered all of them without judgment. She often went above and beyond, even responding after her work hours. She provided clear and detailed information about the transportation process, including meeting points, the company uniform, and logo, using photos, videos, and catalogs to ensure I felt confident and prepared. Our flight was delayed by 90 minutes, and I was worried the shuttle driver might leave without us. Anna promptly updated the transportation team to ensure the driver would wait. When we finally arrived at the airport close to midnight, I easily spotted an MTS team member thanks to Anna’s thorough instructions. Didier, the on-site lead, and Louise, our driver, greeted us warmly. I was truly impressed by the seamless communication, coordination, and organization of the team. On our return trip from the hotel to the airport, we accidentally boarded the wrong van. When the driver realized the mistake, he kindly brought us back to the hotel, but we had already missed our scheduled pick-up. Once again, Anna came to the rescue, quickly coordinating with her team to arrange another van. Thanks to her efficiency, we made it to the airport on time. Anna’s empathy, professionalism, and dedication to her clients made a lasting impression on me. (By the way, I also booked an Xcaret day trip through MTS, which was another excellent experience.) Booked private round trip transportation, we arrived at Cancun airport and we were told that our driver didn’t show up for work because he had partied too much the night before. The morning of our departure from the hotel, we were to meet our driver at 7:55am, I called them because they were late and was then told the driver had mechanical issues with his vehicle so we had to figure out our own transportation. At 11:15, no one was there still to pick us up. The representative from the company kept saying the driver should be there any minute and he supposedly was texting with his driver but the driver never showed. We ultimately had to take a taxi tot the airport. This was not the first bad experience. The day before we booked a 1/2 day excursion to Tulum. Pick up was at 8:20 and we were to be back at the hotel by 12 or 1. It was the “Tulum Express trip” We got picked up at 8:20 and did not get to Tulum until 12:00! They kept saying one more stop.. one more stop. Then we didn’t get back to hotel until 3:45! And since it was a 1] day there was no lunch. Which is no problem if we had gotten back to Hotel on time. Additionally they did not tell us we couldn’t take plastic water bottles into the park. You can only take aluminum. So we had no water while walking around! They were not able to give us an ETA, just 20 mins away, every time we asked... so we were too nervous to leave... so no food, water or bathroom for 2 hours with 2 kids under 6 and my parents in their 70s. Plus there are no benches in the shuttle area to sit... We i called customer service to get help, no apology but rather blamed me. Plus they had 4 vans empty at the airport just chilling... then traveling back to the airport they arrived 1 hour earlier than the agreed time. We would have missed our ride if it hadn't been for the hotel staff... so we missed our lunch :( We spoke to a representative at the hotel to switch from private shuttle to group shuttle and he just flat out told us no, unless we wanted to pay the new rate of $200 usd... which is what we paid for the private (which I did not book through barcelo hotel website) Awful experience. We expressed interest in the catamaran trip to Isla Mujeras. He explained what is was and the cost. We were concerned about the weather the next day when he suggested we should go. We said the following days weather looked better according to our weather app on my phone. He assured us that in Cancun, they never trust the rain forecast, just the wind forecast and that the day he suggested we go was the better of the two days. We trusted him and booked a 6 person trip. Well you will never guess what happened the day we went that he suggested. It rained the entire time. What a fun time of packing all the tourist in the covered area of the catamaran because the rain was coming down so hard. We snorkeled in the rain for 15 minutes and then went to the first stop on the north side of Isla where the streets were flooded . After that all the planned activities were crammed and cut short because of the weather. The crew on the boat was awesome but in a tough spot trying to make it good in a bad situation. The next day (the day we suggested) was beautiful. All sun and no rain. Just wish Robin would have listened to us on what our concerns were and not worry about selling our family a horrible (expensive) trip. As it happened, when we arrived at the pick up point outside of the airport, we found the Speedy representative who told us it would be 5 minutes. 90 minutes later we were still waiting. Finally, after many conversations with you representatives and my wife losing her temper with them, they suddenly found a car, which was a shuttle, who took us directly to the hotel. My flight was delayed by 4 hours… arrival into Cancun was supposed to be 9:10 pm on November 30th 2014. I contacted MTS on WhatsApp as soon as I knew the flight was delayed, of course had no idea how delayed…was assured that it wasn’t a problem as they would monitor the flight, there was a few texts which ended with their reassurance they would be there for me, As it turned out my flight didn’t arrive into Cancun until 1:10am on Dec 1st….4 hours later of course. By the time I disembarked the flight and got to the shuttle area it was 2am. The agent from MTS was there but after several tries could not find a driver. I had pre paid for a private shuttle. So I had to take a taxi to my hotel at the added cost of $110 USD. Was assured that MTS would reimburse me as they were not available. No such luck…they said I was a NO SHOW….and refused to reimburse me….had they followed my flight arrival, which was out of my control…they should have had someone there. As a senior solo person, this was very distressing. I would NOT recommend MTS at all as they left me stranded…,be careful folks…if your flight is delayed they will call you a NO SHOW….you cannot depend on them.Written December 23, 2024

The representatives were very unpleasant and was told the wait for transportation would be 45-90 minutes. I would never book with this company again. I have booked with Amstar previously and never had an issue with ground transportation. The max wait time is about 15 minutes - for the price we paid for Mexico Travel Solutions we received in private taxi service which is what I had to book as a result. They were unable to refund any money although the services weren’t utilized. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM - choose Amstar or better yet wait until you get to the airport to book a private taxi service. You do not get a better deal ahead of time no matter what they say! And it’s safe to also get a taxi while at the airport so don’t let them scare you!Written December 21, 2024

I booked this share roundtrip airport-hotel transfer through Travelocity. The experience was okay not without a glitch. I think the company could be improved, the information provided to Travelocity was either outdated or inaccurate; Company employees waiting outside the airport did not wear "blue and yellow" shirt, and the company logo on shirt was so tiny. The podium and post where they stationing has no sign to say the name of company so we had to ask around. Even thou we booked "share" ride, the driver made us wait for near 45 minutes to pick up 2 more groups of people before departure. The way back to the airport was on time . The company did not email or reach out to me a day or two before my trip, I called the company twice and the calls was dropped so I have to confirm my ride with the help from Travelocity.

They leave a lot to be desired in their customer service, take days to answer, do not track anything even to confirm your reservation. The trip I made included with them the pick up and return from Cancun airport to the Hotel, and on several occasions I tried to contact them they did not answer me, when I arrived at the airport I had to ask the other agencies to locate them because it is not like they are on the lookout or give you a number to talk to them directly. For my return it was the same, only this time they answered my call and gave me time to pick me up at the hotel, but when they arrived the van had a bad smell and the driver came talking on the phone. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend them.

We book the shuttle service vía Orbitz on our trip to Cancun. The service was excellent confirmation by whatsapp and email was great. We felt safe, hotel pick up to go the airport was also on time. We highly recomend MTS shuttle service in CanCun!

If you are considering this company keep in mind 2 things:
1. If you experience flight delays there is no changing of your reservation. You will lose what you paid.
2. There is not a car/driver waiting for you. I rebooked for my new arrival time (and paid a second time - using MTS again because I thought they would credit me for the original reservation) I waited over 30 minutes while other people who arrived after me were taken to their shuttle. Finally, after asking many times, I was walked over to a small taxi with a driver who definitely was not pleased to be stuck with the drive to Akumel.
And customer service reply - here it is:

Due to our policies, we cannot proceed with any modification or cancelation with less than 24 hours before of the transportation service. Please note that all no show or unused services are nonrefundable.
If the change was made by the airline at the last minute, the customer needs to seek compensation from them.

Service contracted in advance, it took them 1 hour to assign the van. The managers who receive you upon arrival have no way of monitoring the units and give imprecise/false information on the status of transportation. Regarding communication via WhatsApp to resolve the problem, they never responded. On the trip we were with 2 older adults and 2 children under 10 years old, waiting in the sun and for that reason they did not give us any facilities.
Badly polite driver, he raised his voice when we asked him to arrange the luggage better so that everyone could enter without problem, he talked on the phone while driving, threatening the safety of my family.
Very bad service. Don't take it.

I would not use MTS ( Mexico Travel Solutions) for transportation. We booked a private transportation and I kinda expected a Cadillac escalade or something similar but we got a mid size car. Anyway, the problem is our return trip. Our airline changed our departure time and because we didn't give MTS a 48 hour advance notice, they couldn't provide us transportation, so we had to pay twice for transportation. Never use MTS ! ! ! !

I needed to make an adjustment to my shuttle back to the airport and called the day before and they didn’t pick up. I called several times the morning of, and they still did not pick up. It’s important to note these calls were during prime business hours. Since I could not contact them I had to arrange a private taxi and forgo the transport I had scheduled with them. I asked for a refund since I was not able to reschedule because they did not pick up the phone, again, during prime business hours, two days in a row. They refused to refund the money. I asked Travelocity for help but they also told Travelocity they would not issue a refund. We’re only talking $20 USD, and I didn’t really care about it, but wanted to pursue it to assess their character and business integrity, and they failed with flying colors. Buyer beware, you may not be able to contact them if anything in your plans needs to be adjusted. It’s important to note that some of the adventure packages they sell are quite expensive. If they don’t refund $20 for their liability, do you think they will refund hundreds of dollars? Take a guess.

When we arrived at the airport there was a slight wait but we made it to the resort in Playacar with no issues. For our return pick up back to the airport, we called to confirm our pickup time and were told 5PM (our flight was leaving at 9PM). The shuttle never showed up so we decided to call them at 5:30PM. I waited on hold for 15 minutes and when I finally reached someone they told me they would try to reach the driver. After a few minutes of not hearing anything, I said “hello?” and the agent responded “still trying to reach the driver”. I waited another 40 minutes where I didn’t hear anything on the other end and then all of a sudden the call dropped and I was redirected to the queue again where I stayed on the line for another 30 minutes. A resort worker also called and could not reach anyone. We ended up having to take a cab so that we didn’t miss our flight.

I am upset with the costumer service I have received. I paid for the service but the company refused to pick us up at a practical time. When confirming pick up time i only had a 7am pick up time from my hotel which would give us no time to eat before a full day of travel and we would have to sit at the airport for 4 hours. When asked if i could be picked up closer to 10 i was told no that is not possible. I dont understand why when we are paying for a private shuttle. I will not recommend this company to anyone.

The booking didn’t specify it was shared. The wait at airport for extremely long. Even then, they went to 3 different locations from airport for pick up other guests. The driver and guide made a joke about letting my husband doing some work with his hands when my husband offered to put the bags into the van himself. I don’t think they realized we could understand. Terrible experience with Luis Martinez with poor communication for the pick up from hotel to airport. I had contacted him to let him know we were at the lobby. The driver came and asked from bell boy but didn’t even wait 5 minutes for us. I re contacted Luis and he was extremely rude. I explained I’m 5 months pregnant and had to sit on the side of the lobby. He kept sending rude messages and made me feel horrible. We ended up spending an additional $100 a taxi to the airport. I would not recommend this service or Luis.
