About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 211lesh0 contributionsExcellent experienceWent diving at the maroma dive center. The dive master Lucaz and boat captain Allen were excellent and very professional. We dove the coral paradise site at a depth of 50ft can't say enough about the dive except you should try it for your selfWritten January 15, 2025
- christianh2920 contributionsfun for the grown-up familytravelling with the whole family ( 17M / 14M / 12F) and spouse and 2 adult friends, we selected this one out of many - and were very happy with our choice. The staff is knowledgeable, they took their time explaining and making sure we were comfortable around and on the horses before setting out on the ride. Along the ride, they told us about every horse's particular history (most if not all are rescue), and were careful about the animals' and riders' well-being. We also learned a bit more about the ecology and cultural practices of the local inhabitant. A great afternoon !Written January 13, 2025
- Inna K0 contributionsIf you are looking for a magical experience do not go in high season. It’s a tourist trap.I think the idea is wonderful. The experience was okay. The description said that we would be in a group of less than 15 people. In fact, there were around 40 people. Some people including us did not get a spot in Temazcal and we had to sit on the floor which was somewhat cold. Our guide was just terrible. I don’t say it lightly but she destroyed a cool experience by constant micromanaging and leading us as if we were a group of troubled youth rather than adults.Written December 28, 2024
- rayee20180 contributionsAuthentic ExperienceMy sister and I regularly participate in ceremonies with native American people in the US and are familiar with sweat lodges and ceremonies. This was an authentic and powerful ceremony. It does get hot but not extremely so and it was possible to leave any time you wanted. The temescal lasted about a half hour and the swim in the cenote afterward was the perfect completion to a purification ceremony. The guides and the people in the village were all wonderful. Highly recommend. Go with an open mind and heart and you will have a great experience. 😊 Be aware that the bus trip picks up from a lot of hotels so can be quite long depending on what part of the route you are on.Written December 21, 2024
- Sharon O0 contributionsDisappointing end to the ride! The ride itself was a wonderful experience. Very informative and enjoyable. During the trail ride we were photographed and video taped which we were able to buy at the end of our journey. We viewed the pictures and bought the entire package. We used cash. We never received the pictures. I have emailed multiple times and was told to show receipt. Which I did. Then I was sent to another email. No reply. I have emailed since and either request the pictures or a refund… I have heard nothing and feel that a wonderful ride..it was tainted by the lack of picture delivery and follow through from those I have contacted. We paid for the pictures and have never received them and I am not getting any responses or assistance. We were on the trip with three others and I have no way to see if the same held true for them. My only hope is that someone from Rancho Bonanza reads this and will help to clarify the situation. Very disappointing and frustrating.Written December 12, 2024

- Wolfkev0 contributionsGoodThe event and activities were mostly good, however, the only thing I didn't like was the delay of the pickup time. Other than that, I would recommend this companyWritten October 21, 2024
- johnbV2413YD0 contributionsBeware of scamBeware of scam. As you walk the shops, on Fifth Avenue, they will approach you saying “I am your hotel waiter” and lure you into a shop. If you purchase with a credit card, they will say the charge will be in pesos, yet you are charged in USD. I confirmed with my credit card company and approached the merchant. He put a call into his bank, but for all I know, he was speaking to his girlfriend. Cash is best IMO, just have product in hand.Written September 20, 2024
- Steve W0 contributionsTour company Booked wrong DateI went through Trip Advisor to book this excursion for September 7th. I received multiple confirmations from the tour operator with a pick up time, and location (hotel lobby). After arriving in Mexico, I reached out to be certain of all the details were correct. The day of the booked excursion, we waited about 20 minutes past the confirmed pick up time. I reached out to the number that previously confirmed my pickup the day prior via WhatsApp. With no response, I had to call the tour operator. They told me they made an error and booked it for September 24th, reasons why still remain unclear considering the previous communication. Unfortunately, they would not accommodate us for the same day considering it was their error. The only consolation given was a refund. This company failed to meet expectations by simply being reliable. Would not recommend.Written September 8, 2024
- L5243JJkevinm0 contributionshorrible - do not get what you pay for...at all.horrible. i paid for a private suburban. when i got to airport they took me to an old, group van after nealry 45 minutes of waiting. When i asked to speak with somebody and to get a refund for the difference in transportation i was simply pushed into the car and told not to worry about it.Written July 25, 2024
- benmathews1234560 contributionsGreat day, but could be betterGreat air conditioned, comfortable bus, but it arrived 45 mins late. Guide was a lot of fun, but talked too much - we would have preferred to explore a bit more on our own. We wouldn’t have picked the cenote we went to (Nohoch), because it doesn’t look great in photos. Needed to pay extra for compulsory life jackets. Nohoch cenote is a waste of time unless you have a waterproof flashlight (which we did not). Luckily we tagged behind a tour where the guide had a flashlight. That made it awesome as you can swim deep into the darkness. We would have missed this if we hadn’t bumped into this other tour group. Great honey tasting on the bus on the way home and lots of fun with our guide. It just could have been a little better overall.Written July 19, 2024

- 127reemaa0 contributionsATV & waverunner excursionWe were picked up on time from our hotel, our driver was very funny with good stories about his love for Phil Collins. We arrived at the Seaside El Dorado and paid a deposit for our locker, and paid an extra $30 USD for insurance for the ATVs/waverunners as a precaution in case of damage. Our first activity was the waverunner. We were given detailed instructions and safety measures. The jetskis were a lot of fun, our guide pointed out sea turtles during the adventure. The ocean was calm but be mindful, this is the open ocean, waves can come out of nowhere and knock you off, very important to respect the machine you’re on as well as the body of water you’re in. Next activity was the ATV. Our guides were great again, going over safety measures before hand. We both enjoyed the ATV but it was a small course, so we doubled back on many of the routes a few times, which was fine, but if you want variations in the course, this was not as much. We did see a crocodile on our journey, probably the coolest part! We purchased our photos, they were quite expensive, $300 USD, $150 per excursion, the most expensive of the photo packages we purchased from all our adventures. We were meant to also receive photo frames with our purchase but in our rush to catch our shuttle and being flustered, we forgot. I will mention the WhatsApp representative and the guides were responsive when I reached out to them to see if we could still get the frames. Sadly the taxi back to Playa Maroma was too expansive to justify going back to get them. We also got to take photos with camels they had on the property, we tipped the caregiver as he took many photos of us with the camels with our phones and allowed us to interact with them. Who knew, camels in Mexico? Very cool extra. Great fun day!Written June 3, 2024
- isabeller5300 contributionsBest rideWe decided to leave the hotel and explore the town, we met this amazing driver who was the sweetest, she recommended a few local restaurants that were out of this world, she Even waited for us. She is extremely professional, friendly and very caring. She made sure we had a wonderful time and drove us to a few places to shop at a much lower prices than the tourists area. We had such a wonderful time we her that I ended up cancelling my trip to the airport and had her come pick us up instead. If you decide to go to Cancun, please reach out to Ileana, she is THE BEST! I will highly recommend.Written May 5, 2024

They were there for us on time yet the wait for the car to get into the " pick up" area was way too long due to construction at the airport. There has got to be a better way! Too many shuttles trying to get in all at once for the Saturday pick up. I would use them again and hope the construction was completed.

Be sure to book your shuttle at least 24 hours prior to landing in Cancun. I didn't do that and needed to make some adjustments. But all worked out in the end.
