- Z3809GSkimd0 contributionsFun Day TripWonderful boat and crew was great. The lunch was a buffet once we got to Isle Mejueres. It was better than expected. We spent several hours on the island. I would have preferred more sailing time but it was a great day!Written January 22, 2025
- Q8886HNmattc0 contributionsJust Book ItThe experience from start to finish was wonderful. The boat was clean and really comfortable for a large group (13). We left on time, made a stop for snorkeling, then went to Isla Mujeres for about 90 minutes before heading back. The crew was top notch. Very friendly, kind, attentive and welcoming. We had such a fantastic time and cannot recommend it more. Pedro and his team made an already great experience even better. 10/10 would do again.Written January 19, 2025

- 167nessal0 contributionsEverything and more! This trip was amazing! Tour guide and the workers onboard was good vibes and I got 10 professional photos taken by one of the workers for about $70 which I didn’t think was a bad price because the pics came out great! The music selection on the catamaran was great! At the time the waters was a little choppy but I still went snorkeling and had nothing short of an amazing experience! We stopped off in Isla Mujeres and the island is beyond beautiful!!!!! Book NOW!Written January 10, 2025
- SBennett6240 contributionsNot the luxury cruise advertisedThis trip was not the “Luxury cruise” advertised. It was chaotic and not very enjoyable. From chaos at the marina (where do we check in? What boat? Why did we leave at 12:45 and not 12?) to unclear directions (Tinka needs to slow down and speak Spanish, then English separately, because it all ran together), it was not a great experience. We had rough water, which was not their fault. But directions on how to get equipment were not clear, and when I was trying to wait for my daughter to finish getting her equipment, I was rushed into the water separately. The water was choppy, and the directions on what to do were not clear. Actually, everyone was rushed into the water, and my daughter and 5 others who were last got in, but then were so far separated from the main group that they turned around to swim back to the boat. On a day with rough water, one guide for 30 people in the water is not enough. (For reference, I am an experienced scuba diver and I’ve been in rough water before.). The beach club for lunch was not what I expect of a beach club on an excursion. No toilet seats (seriously), restroom doors that didn’t work, no toilet paper, and the food was mediocre. I did not expect the buffet staff to start going around with baskets to get tips. It was not a good look when one guy tried to tell me I hadn’t left enough tip in my basket. Isla Mujeres was nice enough, although touristy. But we were definitely ready to go (the boat was 1/2 hour late). On the boat several youths were overserved and spilling drinks all over the deck. This was followed by the boat staff walking around with a jar asking for tips. Every other cruise like this I’ve been on has a tip jar by the exit for voluntary tips. Nothing like pressuring your clients. The most bizarre ending to this 9 hour day trip (it ran from 11:15-8:15 by the time we were back at our hotel, not the 4:30 on the flyer) was the woman who got off the boat and just started peeing on the sidewalk on the way to the vans. We will be looking for a different excursion experience next time.Written January 8, 2025

- Radacal0 contributions¡Es muy bien!I don’t speak enough spanish to describe my experience with this company, and I believe there are not enough good things to say in any language that fit the day I had. Staff was incredibly kind, and they had a couple of great photographers. Decently well organized, and everything was on schedule. If you plan to go to Isla Mujeres, go with these guys.Written January 4, 2025
- kristinacL118WK0 contributionsBeware of the parking staff if you drive yourself!Only giving one star so that other people can be aware who read reviews. We booked with an agent in playa del Carmen to take a catamaran from the Imperial Hotel Las Perlas marina in Cancun to Isla Mujeres. Our agent told us we could drive ourself or take a van to the marina. We opted to drive ourselves so we could explore Cancun after. The agent told us there is a small parking lot beside the hotel where we could park our car for 300 pesos for the day but DO NOT give your key to them. They will tell you it’s for valet service but there is no valet service you park your own car and then they tell you that you have to give them your key to park there. I told the lady that was collecting money and keys for parking that our agent told us not to give them the keys and that we were parked in a spot at the front where there was no need to move the car. I asked how much American to pay for the parking and she told me 20. When I did the conversion it was only 14.71 so told her I would pay 15 which she agreed to. She then asked for the keys to our car again which we again told her we would not leave the keys to the car with her. I was texting our booking agent while this was going on to see what we should do and he said the worst that would probably happen was we might get a ticket. So we decided to just tell her we would continue on with our day and started to walk away as we had already paid to park the car. She proceeded to follow us towards the marina and tried to get one of the Cancun sailing people to tell us that we needed to give her the keys. We explained that our booking agent told us not to and he said we should be fine and to just go. This completely ruined the whole day for us as for the remainder of the day we were stressed about what was going on with our car. If it would be broken into or towed even though we had already paid. They don’t give a receipt or any type of proof that you had paid so it would be our work against hers. That actual catamaran ride and Isla Mujeres was fun. The crew were very entertaining and did their best to make sure everything went smoothly and that we had a good time. The island was beautiful and we just spent our free time on the beach as after our morning experience we didn’t feel like dealing with people trying to sell us stuff. The beaches and ocean were very nice and we really enjoyed swimming in the ocean. On the ride back we were just wondering what we would find when we got to the car. Turned out everything was fine. There was a very narrow path that we were able to back out of so we didn’t have to wait for others to move their cars and even though the same parking attendant was there she didn’t bother us again. Later that night we went and talked to the booking agent in playa del Carmen and he told us that he had a couple a few months ago that he had booked a tour for five their keys to the parking agent and when they got back to their car at the end of they day. They had gone through the car and stole all of their stuff which is why he warned us not to give them the keys. If you want to take this tour it was fun and I recommend Cancun sailing. The issue was not with them. I highly recommend getting transportation to the marina and Do Not Drive yourself. The parking is very limited and the headache dealing with the parking attendant was not worth it.Written December 31, 2024
- rctx20190 contributionsWaste of money, far from acceptable experienceCrew was amazing but every other aspect of our tour to Isla Mujeres was a mess. Pick up at our hotel happened 20 min late. The sailing takes place from a very small marina over 30 min away from the hotel zone (even though we were told 7 min when we bought the package). We he snorkeling was crowded but ok. The food at their VIP experience place was subpar and the beach was so crowded you could not even walk (let alone rent a chair to enjoy it). The whole Island is a gigantic touring trap, extremely crowded so you could not even enjoy. The last drop was the return home, the place was a mess, they loaded into a parking lot and took ages to get us into buses. Ours was as late, they kept promising 10 more minutes, we had two extremely tired and hungry children waiting on a parking lot till they called the busses in. Do not waste your money with these experiences - and the so called VIP experience is a complete misnomer. Would have been happier staying in our hotel and enjoy the beach there.Written December 30, 2024
- RachelR4040 contributionsOkay Snorkel & Island TourOverall okay snorkling & island trip. Pros - good drinks & plenty of them, beautiful island, helpful crew, nice sail. Cons - short time snorkeling, too long at the island, very crowded on the boat, food fair, boat late docking, loud techno music.Written December 30, 2024

The weather was not ideal (It was raining gatos y perros) but our guide was amazing and she made sure everyone had an amazing time. Honestly made the whole experience more fun. - monikasA2431FM0 contributionsAwful & DissapoitingNot my first catamaran tour to Isla Mujeres, but dofinitely the WORST ONE. The catamaran was way too big - huge for about 100 ppl with no vibe. We booked The golf cart with them for 1200pesos and Just before hitting Isla Mujeres they raised the Price up to 1800 pesos. We didnt take it. The snorkeling tour was a waste of time. Lots of swimming, we Were being rushed and didnt see much of anything but water. The Staff was pressuring everyone to leave a tip in a very cheap way, they would follow you with a Bucket and intimidate you. We didnt leave one (only at the restaruant we did). They work like a mafia and Arent nice at all. Never again would I choose the Cancun Saling Company, we has a terrible experience. Any other tour company will do.Written December 23, 2024

Choco, Sadam & Jonny treated our 2 families of 4 to “the best night of my life” in the words of one 8 year old. We were lucky enough to sail (no motor) almost the entire time and catch a sunset over Cancun that looked like a scene out of Star Wars. The crew of the Kendo helped the kids feel comfortable snorkeling, kept the drinks coming for the adults and adjusted the itinerary on the fly to meet our wishes. We dropped anchor to swim over a sandy bottom...had a blast and a good workout fighting the current. Thank you Cancun Sailing, and Merry Christmas!

Booked a 4 hour private tour for 6 on the Nal Gone thru Cancun sailing. Rocia was the agent who helped me during the booking process. She responded to all my emails quickly and answered all my questions, making me feel comfortable about the tour and the company.
We took a taxi from our resort to the marina since we were only about a 10 minute drive away. That cost us $25 each way. There’s the option to take the public transportation for $1 per person I believe but we didn’t want to deal with all that. Once you get to the parking lot area, there’s agents there to help guide you down to the beach/marina. They take your temp and spray down your bag. We got there about 20 mins before and the check in lines weren’t as bad but a little after, it gets crazy.
For our private catamaran, our staff was Santiago and Fernando. They were amazing!!! Fernando kept our drinks flowing, was attentive, professional yet kept the good vibes going and made us laugh. We had such a great time sailing and snorkeling and we know in part is was due to the crew. Highly recommend this tour and company. Ask for Santiago and Fernando if possible!
Only negative comment I have is wishing the company would have reached out to us about having to reschedule. Not their fault because of the weather. It was too windy and the port wouldn’t allow the boat to come in. We were able to reschedule for the next day, no problem. I just wish they reached out to us the morning of before we spent the money on the taxi roundtrip for no reason, having to wake up early, and spilling the surprise to the bride to be early.

My friends and I, a group of 10 total, booked the private Catamaran tour from cancun to Isla Mujeres this past Labor Day weekend. It was truly one of the best days we had in Mexico! The crew was kind, upbeat, and allowed us to customize the tour to our needs. We stopped for lunch at Isla Mujeres and anchored near a beach where we swam and laid in the sun. We also ordered the meat and cheese platter which was the perfect snack at the end of our trip. They allowed us to play our own music and were very clear about the safety guidelines. The snorkeling was also amazing! Short, sweet and safe. I would highly recommend this tour for any group day trip. We did the seven hour tour and it was the perfect amount of time. Looking forward to booking with them again!

We booked the Kendo catamaran for a private sunset cruise for our group of 17 people. The crew took care of us so well! They did NOT skimp on the open bar. Even though we started later in the day, they were still able to take us snorkeling and to Isla Mujeres before sunset. The catamaran was clean and well maintained. We were even able to plug in our DJ equipment to the PA system. This cruise was the perfect experience to end our Cancun vacation!
From start (sales) to finish, they were professional yet friendly and fun. They will cater exactly to the experience you want!

We chartered the Marmajua for our wedding guests (32 in total) for 7 hours.
Our host Pepe, along with the captain and crew, made our excursion an amazing time! Our voyage started with a snorkeling spot we did not choose (it seems that this is the spot all boats go to), but afterwards we were allowed to request where to go as we pleased.
Along the way one of our guests got quite seasick and Pepe was quick to suggest that we move our visit to Isla Mujeres to earlier in the day so that they could recover from the rocking boat. Along with that, Pepe was really great at suggesting areas where the boat would be less rocky so that all our passengers could have a good time.
The crew were very diligent with drinks and helped feed our energy. They poured tequila in our mouths and encouraged us to dance and have fun.
Overall it was one of the best experiences of my visit to Cancun and I would 100% recommend this company to anyone chartering a private boat.

What a way to kill the day for us!
We booked a day of snorkeling at Islas Mujeres aboard a Catamaran. We were excited as we were meeting a group of friends and family out there and we head back home tomorrow 12/31.
We were asked to be at our pick up spot at 6:50am, which we were waiting since 6:30am. While waiting, it starts pouring rain, got cold, we didn’t have any sweaters or umbrellas. All 4 of us waiting in the rain, had it been warmer, no big deal. Waited, and waited…and waited. No one shows up to pick us up. One hour later, I’m making calls, and we were told our driver was waiting for us at 6:05am and left. Driver never called the room either or checked in with the front desk, as I’ve seen them do when other people are late or lost.
The person from Cancun Sailing confirmed a 6:50am pick up time, I have it in writing.
When we called, we were told we had to take a taxi which would have cost us another $170 round trip on top of the $500 already spent which included transportation.
And, we needed to be at the desk at 8am if we wanted to make the boat, this being 7:50am. They offered to reschedule us to the 2pm/next day tour but again would need to provide our own transportation. This whole time, I’m keeping my cool, trying to be respectful and not be a Karen, but basically we were told nothing could be done.
The other couple joining us was staying at another resort. They had to pay for a taxi to get to where we were staying because they wouldn’t pick them up at their hotel. Sadly, they ended up heading back to their hotel.
Defeated, we walked back to the desk where we booked the tour, waited another hour to finally get our money back. This whole time I’m trying to work something out with the person on the phone and they DIDNT care. It wasn’t until we asked for our money back that they “all of a sudden” pulled out all the stops to keep the money. They offered to pick us up, upgrade us and I don’t know what else.
I know it could be a one-off and today just wasn’t our day but it totally wasted half of our day trying to rectify this mess. I don’t want or expect anything for free as I understand tourism is their livelihood but don’t be jerks towards your customers. Now we sit here alone while the rest of the family enjoys without us!

We visited Cancun in July 2020. We booked a private catamaran so we could social distance while still enjoying our time in Cancun. We sailed across the gulf to an incredible beach in Isle Mujeres, had lunch at an open air dockside restaurant , and snorkeled for a good amount of time before heading back to Cancun. We were a group of 3 couples and had 3 crew members on board. Our drink cups were never empty as one of the crew members would offer a new one before our last was even gone. We had a great time!

What a great time my family and I had today. 8 of us embarked on this 4 hour private boat ride. We left the marina and headed out to our first snorkeling spot where "Chencho" (our group guide) lead the way to show us many fish but also a part of the underwater museum. After about a 30 minute swim we then got back on the boat and went to snorkel around a ship wreck. After about another 30 minutes of snorkel here we then finished a third and final 30 minute snorkel spot where we got to dive down to the bottom and saw sand dollars, conch shells, star fish and many more amazing finds. Chencho and his crew made sure we were SAFE and took very good care to make sure we were very well hydrated :) with our open bar. A definite must do with your family and friends!!!

We just came back to our hotel from the boat trip, it was amazing! Our host Oscar was funny and energetic and worked hard to make connections with each passenger. The catamaran he is on is the Lohagrin (if that’s not exact it’s very close to that) it’s one of the privilege tours. I definitely recommend getting the privilege package, it felt a little clustered snorkeling in the group of 25, I can’t imagine how cramped the larger group would feel. We stopped for lunch at a gorgeous beach front club and the buffet they had was delicious!! 10/10 recommend booking this excursion and if you can get on the Lohagrin with Oscar!

Way too busy. Everything was so rushed. Immediately you're getting ready to snorkel, which was terrible. It was so busy most of the time you're either looking around trying to follow your guide or not get smacked in the face with a flipper from another tourist (save your money and snorkel somewhere else). Being at the front of the boat made for a nice cruise and they served some snacks which was nice. Where we stopped for lunch on the island was also great, but again only had an hour. We anchored and swam from the boat which was probably the best part of the whole experience and they only gave us 20 minutes for this. Isla Mujeres is beautiful but it was overrun with tourist. The whole excursion just kind of felt like a tourist trap and it was not worth the money paid. This was the second excursion we did and maybe our first one (snorkel with sea turtles, and swim cenotes) just set the bar too high because we had such a great guide and group but I would not recommend this to anyone and will look for other options next time. It's just too busy and rushed to be enjoyable.

What is the additional cost for hotel pickup and lunch ? How would I go about adding those options ? I didn’t see any information for that.

I just emailed them to ask
There is a minimum order for food so ended up being a lot for 4 of us. But would be perfect for a bigger group
Round trip transportation was $120 and I think that covers up to 12 people.

The van to and from the hotel was a flat rate of $120 and lunch was $20 per person. Once booked, you’re assigned an agent who will create an itemized invoice for you that can be adjusted as needed.

Hello there are 8 of us in our group. Can you do an exception to add one more person and we just pay.
Written October 2, 2021
No they have to have the exact head count because if they don’t somebody will not be getting on the transportation to the island. They had to pick up other passengers so if you have eight people in your party can you add one more person that person is not gonna be able to go that day.
