- 842MarkW0 contributionsMayan Ruin Tour Was ExceptionalGreat experience. Just the right amount of time at each location and it’s packed with interesting history. Our personal guide was exceptional. An added plus was lunch at a Cenote. Take time for a quick swim. Very refreshing on a hot day.Written February 6, 2025
- K_a_r_o_l_i_n_aaa_pl0 contributionsGrear trip!Had an amazing trip with guide Arturo. He was very knowledgeable with many years of experience, with a great personality. Would definitely book again, and other tours. Gracias Arturo!Written January 25, 2025
- amandapE8195ZU0 contributionsChichen Itza tourMy husband and I took this tour with our proud Mayan guide Patrick and it was great. He is very knowledgeable and clearly proud to be Mayan and to teach others so much about their culture. Chichen Itza is even more incredible in person. Seeing all the little details and then having all the things the Mayans considered when building these structures is just amazing. We also went to a local cenote and a nearby town to have lunch and some shopping. Was a very good day.Written January 12, 2025
- samjL2879IZ0 contributionsGreat experienceAngel, Diego and Ever (driver) were great tour guides. Everything was well explained. Pick up was on time. Learned a lot about Mexican history and culture. Angel's sexy speaking voice while explaining in Spanish is a ++. Nos vamos de nuevo!!Written January 5, 2025
- Rob W0 contributionsGreat visit and tour! Our guide Abel and driver Kiko were awesome! Chichen Itza: Bring a hat, big spray, and sunscreen! There was a 60 pesos (I forget the extract amount) camera fee per Camera/GoPro you bring; I brought my GoPro and Insta360 so I had to pay it twice. They do a very quick bag check as you get your ticket checked and enter the site, but I kinda wish I had just left my GoPro buried at the bottom of my bag or in the hotel since I didn’t use it, haha. Phones do NOT count as a camera (no fee for using your phones). Our tour of Chichen Itza took us around about 80% of the site, including the Ossuary, the Observatory, the Nunnery, the Ball Court, places between, and of course the main highlight: Temple de Kukulkan! At each stop Abel told us a little more about the history of the Maya, about their construction process, and about their technology. We stopped specifically for pictures a few times and took extra long picture time at Kukulkan. We had time to take pictures at most the structures but it required some split attention to not miss out on Abel’s information. There are tons of people trying to sell souvenirs at the site, but Abel warned of the poor quality and the pace of the tour helped keep us from getting swept into vendor hands. Cenote Ik Kil: Cenote Ik Kil was beautiful. It has a small ledge you can jump from, maybe 2 meters high and a waterfall you can swim through. The Cenote is very deep and you need to wear a life vest to swim in it. Don’t drop anything because posted signs say you won’t get it back, haha. You need to walk down 90 stairs to get to the cenote’s crystal clear waters. When we were there the water was fairly cool, but our bodies adjusted to it pretty quickly. There were lockers provided for storing your things and the life vests are provided. The Cenote is 1 large pool, no caverns to explore. Even with the tour groups there was space for everyone once you got away from the “shore”. It took a while for us to get changed, get our vests, and start swimming so I really would have liked more time here. Still I’m grateful for the time we had :) Lunch Buffet in Maya village: Tacos buffet with hand made tortillas featuring local foods such as Cochinita Pibil aka Mayan Pork. Cochinita Pibil is pork wrapped in a banana leaf and buried above heated ground to slow cook for 8 hours. It was salty and tender! There was a dance performance during lunch by an excited band of Mayan Dancers and a tour of the village teaching about the modern Mayan way of life. There is a gift shop with crafted obsidian from the artisans in the village, as well as some other cool things. They made fresh tortillas in front of us and offered them with a bit of salt. SO TASTY! Valladolid: The stop at Valladolid is only 20 minuets, which felt a little rushed. I would have enjoyed more time at Chichen Itza for photos or more for swimming in Cenote Ik Kil and skipped Valladolid all together. That said, I enjoyed the churro I was able to get at the local stand and there was a Maya dance performance in the city center which was really cool to see. I enjoyed the performers wa saw in Valladolid compared to those we saw in the Maya village during lunch. Lastly, there were so many birds in the trees flying and cawing about which was kinda stunning. Overall we loved our experience and would highly recommend it to friends visiting Cancun!Written December 30, 2024
- Jet272598649300 contributionsAmazingWonderful experience and lovely people. Except for a German guide who was in training, he was very rude. He didn't want us to sit down to eat with them because we were Mexicans. When we are in Mexico, imagine having racism from foreigners in Mexican lands!!! wtfWritten December 12, 2024
- 819nichellem0 contributionsLoved it!This was an amazing tour, we had Luis and he was very funny and lovely. I can’t remember the other two staffs names but they were also very kind and made an effort to check our wellbeing throughout the experience! Would 100% recommendWritten December 6, 2024
- IkeKimball0 contributionsKnowledgeable Guide & Memorable ExperienceThis private tour was an efficient way to see multiple Mayan sites + a very memorable cenote stop. Our guides name was "Al" and he was extremely knowledgeable about Mayan history and really gave us a good idea of what it was like to live during that time. We rode in a very comfortable car and he offered us refreshments at each stop. He recommended a cenote that was extraordinarily beautiful with a waterfall, right next to a restaurant serving authentic Yucatan dishes. Thanks Al, for a trip we'll never forget!Written December 3, 2024
- Curious205836392530 contributionsFascinating, beautiful, history, funSaying the Chichen Itzá tour is amazing is an understatement! Words can’t describe the feeling you get as you’re walking on the lands where the Mayan civilization inhabited. There is so much fascinating history to learn about and so many beautiful landscapes to see. They’re so many good sights you can capture photos of but as always, photos don’t do justice because there’s nothing like being there in person to witness such experience. I understand now why this place is considered one of the seven wonders of the world. The Ik Kil cenote is breath taking, as you descend down the stone stairs and see the beautiful waters, it’s such an incredible feeling. The water is cold since theres little to no sun down there but don’t worry, your body adjusts to it and it feels nice and fresh during the warm/hot days. The Valladolid town is also a great place to visit, with lots of restaurants, shops, vendors, cafes and history to check out. I would love to come back and do this tour again one day and bring my family/friends so they can get the same experience I did. Thank you to my tour guide Jesus Alarcon. He shows so much passion and is very educating on the history there. He made our experience very fun! 👏🏼Written November 10, 2024
- G6112EIclaudiat0 contributionsAmazing experienceAmazing experience. Very patient and friendly. Photographs were beautiful. Picked us up at the hotel and dropped us within an hour. Definitely recommend. We received our pictures within two days in high resolution.Written November 6, 2024
- hwcrow0 contributionsAwesome day on the Yucatán peninsula.Awesome day. Being able to see Tulum, Coba, a ceynote, and Chichen Itza in one day is definitely the way to do it. Why spend your day driving around as a shuttle service picking up and dropping off other people? Our guide Alvaro was extremely knowledgable and professional. We learned so much about these awesome places. Would highly recommend.Written September 1, 2024
- Road503306037320 contributionsWould rebook anytime in Cancun for any excursion! We really liked the tour. So much better than getting shoved on a bus and being pushed through different sites. The guide was knowledgeable and prepared for the tour. The vehicle was perfect for a family of four. Pickup and drop-off was flawless. Definitely the right pick for simplicity and for value!Written August 2, 2024
- J3563JFphilipm0 contributionsA must do tourOutstanding, informative, fun!!! Wow, where do I start? I'll start with our tour guide Ricardo E. He had so much information on the Maya civilization and what Chichen-Itza was. He was funny, educated, and very patient as we had a very large group (tequila group). I can't imagine visiting for the first time like we did without someone as knowledgeable as Ricardo. Well done!! Shout out to Jesus as well, he led the Spanish group. Both men were excellent. I would definitely recommend this tour. I didn't even mention the cenote which was spectacular, and the city of Valladolid. So much to see and experience, absolutely worth it!Written June 29, 2024
- PaulK6580 contributionsWonderful full day experienceThis tour is an amazing way to see the major sites in one day. Our guide, Alvaro, was very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. The car was very comfortable, and moving between locations was very smooth. We had enough time at each site to learn about the history and take in the beauty. And the lunch was delicious. Highly recommend!Written May 27, 2024
