About the operator
- Southside1Glasgow00OutstandingWe did Xplor in the evening, we all thought it outstanding. The ATV round the park brilliant, not a quick 20 minutes, more like 40. Zip wires a must , again not just a quick thrill, a number of different wires. Food outstanding, far higher quality than we expected. No hesitation in recommending.
- Wesey7400Fantastic day out! This is a great day out for teens and parents. It’s very well organised with all the activities feeling safe but also great fun. We booked thru our hotel (Barcelo Caribe) and arrived at the park about 8am. This meant we were one of the first on the Zipwires so avoided queuing in the heat of the day - you have to climb lots of steps so would definitely recommend doing zipwires first. We then did the ATVs which were fun; this was also good to do before the route got too busy. We then cooled off on the underground expedition. Water shoes a must for this as you’re basically walking thru water in caves. After this we had an early lunch - another top tip as we got seated quickly. Food was v v good; hotel standard. After lunch we did the rafting and cave swim then the hammock swing then another go on the ATVs. You can get drinks throughout the day from the juice bar and restaurant. A few tips - you get soaking wet so wear swimwear, would suggest shorts over especially for the zipwire. I wore a bikini with running shorts over the top and a rash vest although a workout top or just bikini top would be fine. - take water shoes - you get a locker which is located centrally so easy to pop back to - don’t need to take drinks or snacks as all included - if you’re on a hotel pick up package with the XCaret group wearing red t-shirts they’ll tell you where to meet for pick up. However you come out another exit and it’s not obvious how to get to pick up point - basically you turn right turn right again and walk down the car park road and it’s down a slight hill on the left. About 5 min walk so not far but not obvious and was a bit confusing Definitely recommend
- Sunshine5909822235300Fantastic Fuego! - great night out! This was a highlight of our holiday! Booked on line directly a day or so before - taxi from hotel and there are taxis waiting outside after (we left at 11pm closing time). The swim adventures and the driving were awesome and the zip lines in the dark… wow! What an experience! Loved it! All four of us had so much fun! The all inclusive included food - we went for food around 7pm and it was fairly empty but slowly filled up - the buffet was amazing. Likely better than our hotel! Only downside which I believe others have mentioned is the photo package. It’s a great idea and we have some good photos but the ones we really wanted were zip line photos. Sadly those are not great - a lot taken from behind the person or missing them completely. A real shame - not worth the approx $60 as I recall and sadly paid in advance - unfortunately we were home from Mexico before being able to check them. But that aside - this is a fantastic night out for the family!
- PaBusymom00Great experience! So much fun!My adult daughter and I loved our Xplor Fuego experience. We had a great time doing all the activities, some even more than once. Water shoes are a must, so get comfortable ones as you will be doing a lot of walking. The provided lockers are big enough to hold a backpack with your belongings and a change of clothes. A tip: watch for the restaurant closing time. We were so busy enjoying the activities that we didn't get changed and to the restaurant in time. Their optional photo package meant we didn't have to chance taking our phones with us to the activities, but we were disappointed afterwards to see that their sensors (especially on the ziplines) didn't pick up my daughter's helmet consistently. In fact, we ended up with photos of those who were in line before and after us instead. But overall, a great experience. Going for the Fuego meant we avoided the afternoon sun and had the added experience of the torches and the Ring of Fire on the longer of the zipline circuits. We booked our excursion through the Discova team on site at our hotel, but if you want a private transport company, we recommend Meet Playa.
- Trek5118701038000Amazing timeHad an amazing time . The xcaret bus picked us right in time and verified before boarding us. The lockers look pretty small but they fit a lot. I wouldn’t carry much just extra clothing and water shoes! There id soo much to do .
- littlemissgrace00Fun fun funLoved xplor conquered my fear of heights, buffer was a lot to choose from however, I stupidly ate fish from the hot plate and was seriously unwell, back to the uk seen by doctors never again will I eat fish in another country again !!
- 626patelv00Xcaret was much betterThey are over boarding on safety and no customer service, please don’t share a minor problem with lil hernia or any lil back pain if they ask you about any medical
- V5979AClaurad00Brilliant!What a brilliant place! We had an absolute blast at this park, and honestly I wish other parks would take a leaf out of their book. So incredibly well organised, never known anything like it to be honest! I was nervous about the food (being a vegan) and that it would be the usual mad rush for food at these sort of places, but boy was I wrong! Again, the whole food service was so well organised, there was no food dash, over crowding etc. and I was pleasantly surprised by the range of options. They offered a "healthy corner" which had vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. We thoroughly enjoyed every activity and also recommend getting the photo package as there are absolutely STACKS of places to capture photos and get those treasured memories. Only down side was that the day flew by SO fast, you'll be having such a great time it'll be 5pm before you know it at this place!
- Ack7500A must do for familiesThis was an absolute cracking day out. We got to the park at about 8.30 and didn’t stop till we were collected at 5. The zip lines were so much fun but do them first as the queues build up quickly and the towers are high and the weather is hot and there were lots of steps. Some of the towers have water but not all so take it when it’s there. The ATV course was also a great laugh. But they are proper bone shakers so only do if you have a good back. We did the courses three times. The swim in the Cenote was fun and we saw lots of bats. The water was not overly deep so the non swimmer in the group didn’t worry about getting out of their depth and life jackets were mandatory for all. The underground walk was ok but the rafting was not fun at all. The raft had no back support and all four of us had really sore backs after the experience. The hand paddles were worse than useless and offered no benefit. Avoid this part of the park. That being said the park is great and has to be on the to do list if of course you’re not afraid of heights as the highest tower was 45m. Some great views from up there.
- W1763ARbrianh00Excellent day at XplorExcellent family fun day at Xplor park. Came here while staying in Tulum and have to say it was a choice well made. The Xcaret parks are very well done and have plenty to do for all ages. Recommend to conquer the zip lining first early in the day as it is a one hour affair. The park allows you to do zip lining once per visit to the park so it's good to get that out of the way. Out of the two choices for zip lining adventures I recommend the jaguar route as it's longer and more adventurous. Water shoes are recommended as your feet will certainly get wet. They say you are not allowed to carry anything on the zip lining but we saw locals and guests carrying their phones around their neck in the water proof cases and true ogs had GoPro's attached to their helmets. We opted for the photo package as there are many photo opp spots throughout the park and it seemed like decent value. The food here is delicious and there is a wide variety of food that is delicious and nutritious. Beverages are good and the Horchata is great here. The vehicle ride is bumpy but a lot of fun! Overall 5 stars!
- ruthlm00Absolutely brilliant!!!!!We booked whilst at our hotel direct with the website with no problem, including transfers and photo package, much cheaper than with tour operator etc, transfers were great, lovely air con busses. This was probably the highlight of our holiday, we had the best time!! lots of brilliant photo's to look back on. The food was great too, the mango and habenero sauce was absolutely delicious, wish I could buy this back here in the UK. you definitely need sturdy water shoes for water walk, as the floor is very rocky. Zip lines were the best experience, bit scary at first, but just amazing, so glad my hubby and I decided to go, had a blast, brilliant brilliant day!!!
- Lauren C00Must go!!Great day out, well worth the money considering all the activities, we had sliders and could do all activities minus underground exploration but could drive, zipline raft and swim!! Food was very good too and a lot of choice
- ashleytipton00Amazing adventure parkThis park was amazing! Our family enjoyed a whole day here. The all-inclusive experience is great at a water park! No worrying about your money or wallet while you are in the water. Do you can go get drinks or food anytime. Great buffet for lunch! Also the photo experience at this park is great! We purchased the photo plan and you could leave your phone and not worry about it all day. It was nice to not have to worry about taking pictures all day and we came away with over 100 pictures! There are many cameras around the park and they are linked to your helmet. Over all 10/10 experience! Would definitely go again!
- Ayleeq2300Superb night adventureDefinitely a different experience visiting this park at night. It’s nice because you don’t get to be in the sun and heat all day long and still get to I enjoy the same activities.
- sharedaj00????????This place is nice and a joke all in one. One, if you choose transportation services, pick up is extremely early, 0650. There is no time for you to get breakfast and lunch there is anywhere between 1030-100 starting. Remember, your in the forest, in the sun, hot during activities. The person explaining everything was RUDE! He spoke Spanish the entire time and actually told us "Raise your hand if you only speak English", it was only three of us and then proceed to say "Oh well, you are in Mexico". How rude! He did give us a small breakdown of a sentence or two in English. There are only five attraction at this park. Ziplines, ATV, rafting, raft swim, and hammocks. If you have ANY kind of restrictions, don't waste your money. You will only be allowed to do rafting and raft swim each all of 10-20 long. We were only here about an hour before paying a taxi $100 back to Cancun because again, if you have any restrictions you will not be allowed to do any of the "FUN" activities. Again we did leave after an hour but transportation drops you off at around 0900 and doesn't come back until 5pm. So even if you done everything 10 times, you are stuck there all day, unless you get an expensive taxi as we did. Would I go back, yes under different circumstances, but I would get a vehicle myself or book a separate transportation services for when I am ready to leave.

An absolute travesty to nature. They turned a beautiful cave and ecosystem into a barren amusement park. You’ll walk away smelling like a swamp thing only masked by their proprietary bug spray that they highly recommend for $9. The whole park is slathered with it. I don’t think a bug can live within 5 miles of that place. You’ll only find cockroaches and I’m not referring to the bug. Anything associated with Xcaret is a money grab. They are killing the environment, putting the small resorts out of business, and will constantly hound you for money. You can’t get through a tour without them trying to sell you something every 10 minutes. It kills the experience. In general, this is Cancun in a nutshell but Xcaret owns pretty much everything. If you are still in the planning process consider Puerto Rico instead. Beautiful beaches, caves, and waterfalls. Friendly people, less language barrier, and you really get to experience the culture. It’s also a lot safer. Take it from a guy from Memphis, TN. Leave Xcaret to the gullible folks and help save nature by not supporting their antics.

The actual activities were very fun, but it was VERY expensive.
The park was already expensive, the agent we booked that the resort took advantage and didn't tell us the truth about what we should bring. He said not to worry they have mosquito repellent there (avoided mentioning extra fees 11$). When asked about what shoes to wear he said not to worry flip flops are ok(they are definitely not ok and we had to buy VERY Expensive water shoes - 34$ each). I am a pre planner and asked questions about these things and he wasn't really honest. So make sure you bring good water shoes and your own repellent.
On that note, also bring those plastic cell phone water cases because they sell them there for 35$ each and you can't take your phone otherwise. Pictures are 70$ for two people and weren't great.
The pictures we paid extra were terrible, we spent 110$ for pictures and the atv video. There were only 43 pictures total and often the camera did not go off at all or at a good time. Very disappointing. The atv "fast pass" is not a fast pass, we had to wait 15 min for the car with a video to come around and to be honest the regular line was shorter than 15 min so unless you really want the video it should not be sold as a fast pass.
The buffet was pretty good. Good selection of food.
I wish i could get a refund for this extra stuff I wasted my money on. But the adventure park itself was pretty fun, you just have to research and go really prepared.

Dear Jasmine,
Thanks for your comments.
Xplor park besides being a park all-inclusive, the Circuits of zip-lines, Amphibious vehicles, Rafts through an underground river, the Stalactite River, Hammock Splash, and the Underground Expedition are included with the admission price. Also, we would like to share that with the purchase of the ticket, each visitor is making a contribution to more than one program for sustainable development in Mexico. It's worth mentioning that our photo package has the advantage of being unlimited, and our visitors can take all the photos they wish. In addition, our photos are professional and of high quality, taken automatically from unique angles.
At Grupo Xcaret, we’ve always been synonymous with safety and quality. For that reason, within our recommendations, you can find the use of special water shoes or shoes that can get wet, and that do not fall during your journey, since several roads in Xplor are uneven. If you do not have this type of footwear, you can purchase it at the stores at the park. You may find all this information on our official website. We take under consideration all your comments and are constantly working on innovating and keeping our standards for your preference.
We hope you can give us a second chance to visit us again or invite you to know any other park from Grupo Xcaret.
Cordially,
José P.

This was our 2nd time at XPLOR Fuego and we were so disappointed. Due to road construction, we got there over an hour late to the park. Due to COVID, we also thought that the admission to the park would be more limited. Think twice! It took us 2 hours to complete the zipline a activity with soooo many waiting lines in the towers it was ridiculous. We did not even get to do the amphibious car tour, only had enough time to do the short route in the underground river and were only able to eat at the buffet for five minutes as they were getting ready to close. I also wanted to shop a little at the gift shop and couldn’t as the check out line was ridiculous as well, and we needed to catch our bus back to the hotel. Never again! We paid over $770 for 6 of us, including two kiddos, and did not even get to enjoy the park! Not happy at all! I would avoid it if I’d known before hand

I had a wonderful Time exploring the underwater experience and the food was great.
My issue was the safety of my ATV experience. My ATV kept missing the headlights for example every two minutes after the lights turned on, it stayed off until the next checkpoint. I was very surprised that no one just gave me a new car but allowed me to drive dangerously in the night. Then, one of the attendants told me to turn left at the auto check instead of right which had me crash my ATV in the tree.
I Purchased the photo package and was never able to go on all the zip lines due to the straps not going all the way to my groin. I asked multiple times which zip lines can I go on with photos so at least I have one zip line photo. They stated I can only do the long zip line that lands in the water and nothing else. When I spoke to the photo booth attendant upon Leaving the park, they stated that I could have went on the hammock zip line with the photo. This was never told to me at the time they zip line and they said they was a possibility the photo wouldn’t work for the long water is it like I did take. So I wasted $69 on a photo package that I’m missing 7 zipline sets of photos & wasted a lot of money to not do all of the zip lines.
I honestly believe that safety is the first most important thing at the park and it was not taken seriously at the ATV side and the attendance did not communicate effectively the options I had for the Zipline which led to me having a horrible experience. I did appreciate Eric the manager of the ATVs apologizing and offering to take me on a ride on the ATV to rectify the situation but I could not even drive the ATV based on the incident with the ATVs earlier where they said I damaged portion of the ATV even though I didn’t have lights most of the time. I felt as though no one cared about the lack of communication and my safety at this park.

It was okay, we definitely had fun, we were disappointed in a few things. It was packed!! The lines were so long for every activity that we didn't even get to do all of them. There was very little communication, we weren't really sure where to go. In our past excursions, we had a guide that stayed and helped throughout it all.
We ordered the picture package, the pictures are blurry and we only got 73 (for a family of 5) And a few of those aren't even our family . Lastly we chose the Fuego tour, they told us we would have tons of fire and the caves would look like lava, this wasn't the case.
Overall, I would give it a 5 of 10. We will be choosing a different company in our future visits.

There were not many things to do, literally 5 things. It was too chilly for the river swim at dusk. Would have done it if they had inner tubes to float on. The atv ride waa fun but got stuck behind a slow person, same with the rafting, people didn't know how to paddle so they blocked everything up. Hammock splash fun but short. Food was decent, but just felt the price was too expensive for what was offered.

This was an awesome experience, but it started rocky. When you get picked up, you are in a very packed bus and then you get to the park and there was a sea of people. Our first thoughts were that we would spend most of our night waiting in line and this was a mistake, luckily, we were wrong. Once you finally get past the check in process and get your stuff put into your locker, you’re golden. The park is nicely spaced out and we had plenty of time for all the activities and buffet. It was a blast hitting all of the zip lines and the staff seems to take great care of you and does all the safety checks routinely. The whole park is amazing and beautiful honestly.

Great experience was had, for $120 per person you really get alot from several activities and amazing food spread (all you can eat). A great way to spend 6 hours in an amazing place. Be prepared to get wets on several activities, footwear for water sports is highly recommended.

This was our first excursion of our holiday and it set the bar very very high! We went at night time so we did it all in the dark which made it even more exciting. I felt so safe the whole time (even if I am scared of heights so the zip lines were pretty daunting) each activity was so different and so much fun! I loved (surprisingly) the zip lines through the fire and into the water and also the underground rivers and my partner absolutely loved the jeeps through the jungle! The food afterwards was amazing too, so much choice and the waiters were very friendly. I highly highly recommend this park! Its not for the faint hearted though, the zip lines are incredibly high above the jungle!!!!!

Fuego was AMAZING, the park at night is truly something special to experience and the food was top notch. What was even better was the transportation, Victor Sanchez and his driver Hugo were nothing short but professional with giving us information plus tips on how to make the most of our trip. The bus was clean and on time. I have no complaints and would definitely do again next time my husband and I are in Mexico.

I’d have hard time to recall but I believe it’s around 2-3 PM. I’m glad we did the Fuego! I have no idea how it may be doable to climb all the zip line stations in peak heat hours.
