This was basically an overpriced boat ride that you can see a whale shark for literally a few seconds as you compete with other people. When getting to the meeting spot it took about almost an hour to get on the boat. I took a motion pill before getting on the boat but didn’t expect to take about 2 and half hours to find the shark so by the time we find the shark I’m already sick and nauseous so be warned if you’re not used to being on a boat. The entire event is rushed as there was 10 other boats filled with people going after the same shark. The equipment provided is heavily used and they don’t bring enough different sizes for everyone so chances are you might have to settle for something that is either too tight or too loose. After everyone gets rushed into the water twice, it’s another long ride to a beach that you’re there for about 30 mins. I thought I could at least look towards the food but even that wasn’t what I expected it’s literally one sandwich and some chips with guac that came from a bag that was being shared amongst everyone and multiple hands in it. Do not recommend doing this event, talking to other people that participated in this they mentioned how they got to see other animals at a fraction of the price at other places and how it was a lot more fun compared to this.

Absolutely amazing experience! Our guides Tito and Omar were extremely professional and knowledgeable, bringing us to multiple locations to dive with the sharks. After diving we stopped by some fishing boats the captain owned to pick up a freshly caught fish that they cooked into ceviche for us within half an hour of it being caught while we swam off the coast of Isla Mujeres. You can’t miss this if you’re in the area!

Awesome experience. Guides went above and beyond to make sure we got quality whale shark time, and the fresh ceviche onboard was the best I’ve had on our trip. Highly recommended!

Mix thoughts about this. They were on time in picking us up and dropping us off. Unfortunately we did not see a whale shark and only got into the water to pee and then snorkel around some bleak old coral at the Island. Lunch was nice. It is good they only take small numbers. Apparently the whale sharks may not have been around because the rain overnight pushed their food lower so that is where the whale sharks could have been. We could have spent that money on something else if we had a crystal ball and knew we were not going to see it. But that is the chance you take. Also the company does not offer a discount for a rebook. We were separated from the same tourists that we arrived with and had to wait till they returned. Lucky for us it was not long, but have heard of some horror stories of the time people have had to wait for others to return after the company separated them. My tip would be look for a company that offers a discount or a free rebook if you don't see it, because it is a lot of money for a bumpy ride in a small boat, getting sun burnt and watching people spew into the water. You have to remember it is a small boat and you really hit the waves and the bow drops. Don't recommend this boat if you have sore back. The waves can get high and when you go over it the boat goes down and it can be a real 'jarring' to your body. We were annoyed a family of 3 Adults after traveling about 2 hours, felt sea sick and wanted us to return. They asked 3 times and it made everyone feel terrible we were saying no. The host asked everybody is it is our wish and of course we all said no! You have to accept, this is not a cruise. It will be rough. Have travel sickness tablets before going.

I loved my week in Cancun. Very happy to have chosen the Eco Colors tours company. Excellent service all the way, from pick-up to finish. We had Alex as our guide: very concerned about the environment, professional and attentive to our needs. For sea trips, it takes 90 minutes by boat to get to the area where the whale sharks are found. During our 2 sea trips, we were able to swim with manta rays and a whale shark. We were also able to observe some dolphins and flying fish. Our day in Akumal was also exceptional, we were lucky enough to have a private guide. Large number of turtles visible from close quarters and also eagle rays, pretty corals and other colorful fish. Our day in Los Morelos, the weather conditions were rather gray and there were waves. We were still able to go on a snorkeling trip accompanied by a local guide. Afterwards, we went to swim in a Cenote. We had a great, busy week !

Amazing day. Two perfect dives and perfect views of amazing whale sharks. I would recommend this tour to anyone looking for a once in a lifetime experience.

I would not recommend as they don’t answer the phone even during medical emergencies. My husband had food poisoning and we needed to cancel the tour no one answered the phone and refund was never issued

It was an amazing experience. A bit busy and the first swim we been rushed out of water by the boat crew which was a bit upsetting as other people spend more time in the water. However our guide Omar was really protective over the whale shark which I liked as you could see other people getting too close. Keep the whale shark safe. They are an amazing and they need to be take care off.

Communication was good, pickup on time, good guide and decent boat and equipment. And wonderful experience swimming with whale sharks!

The hosts did there best as it was hart to find the whales but he persisted and we found them... it took a lot of skill.

Diego and his crew were outstanding! At pick up, he and his driving came to our resort and were waiting for us outside the van when we walked out of the lobby. A couple was already in the van and then we went to pick up another couple. Diego allotted time for a stop at a starbucks next to a 711 for coffee or some to eat. We then picked up another person, at which we had the chance to stop by a shop if we needed dramamine. My husband and I had planned ahead and took some prior. Highly recommend DRAMAMINE! Never know what the water will be like and how your body will take it. Better safe than sorry so you can enjoy your swim! Each of the five groups of two on our boat got to complete two swims with a full view and experience next to whale sharks. This was extremely fortunate! The boat crew provide a ham sandwich and water for the hour to hour and a half journey back to shore. Before stopping back at the dock, we made a pit stop at Isla Mujeres for a short swim and a full meal with water and cokes! We were not expecting that and it was just the cherry on top to such a wonderful experience! P.S. in order to protect the whale sharks and ocean, sunscreen is not permitted. This shouldn’t deter you from embarking on this excursion, just a good heads up to plan ahead for alternative sun protection. I wish I had a long sleeve rash guard! Also, you may already be soaked by the time you get to the whale sharks. When they offer to put your bags under the boat, take them up on it, we’re sure glad we did! Enjoy the ride!!

First off all: We were lucky and glad to see the whale sharks. But we could only see them a few minutes in the water, we wished to had more time in the water. 🐋💦🏊🤿 There were so many boots (20-25 🚤), we didn't expect that it was so crowded. We were 10 people on the boot which was okay. Food was poor, although we mentioned 3 times in advance that we are vegetarians. They forgot the vegetarian sandwiches 🥪 for us and we only got some salad for lunch 🥗 We only got a small water and a small coke during this hot day within 12 hours! We were so hungry and thirsty at the end of the trip! Equipment was not good, fins and masks 🤿 were damaged and they don't had different sizes, we could not fit it on before going on the boot. Staff on the boot was average, they didn't even apologize because of the forgotten vegetarian sandwiches and the damaged equipment. Everybody in our transportation Van was picked up from their resort (which took lots of time), only we in Tulum need to walk to the Super Aki supermarket for pick up and drop off which was 4 km away from our accommodation. The driver doesn't even want to drive us 1 km further to Tulum center when he dropped us off Our impression is, that the operators are saving on everything (food, drinks, equipment), but everybody likes to receive tips 🤑
