About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- B527SZnataliag0 contributionsAmazing adventure in Oaxaca! Our guides were so kind and knowledgeable during our trip! We were able to make two custom day tours for our group of seven that hit all the sites we wanted. Rosario was so much fun and took great pictures for us. Great experience!!Written August 1, 2023
- F68480 contributionsOutstanding tour of Monte Alban and OaxacaTerrific private tour to Monte Alban and Oaxaca. Rosario is a very knowledgeable and friendly guide, and happy to be flexible to fit our wishes. I’d recommend an early start - we got to Monte Alban just after it opened at 8.30 am. It can get much busier (and at times hotter) later in the day. The tour of Oaxaca took us to lots of great mural art in two different neighbourhoods.Written July 10, 2023
- carvelqueen0 contributionsMonte Alban brought to life.My husband and I took a half day guided tour with Lescas Co Tours of Monte Alban this morning. It was the best guided tour we ever have taken, entirely due to our Guide, Miguel. His English was better than mine, his knowledge of Monte Alban all encompassing, his humour and ability to bring life to this ancient civilization was unparalleled. So if you think I am a fan, definitely. We learned so much and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Thank you Miguel!Written February 24, 2023
- byryr620 contributionsSO good we booked Guide Oaxaca for a private tour!Rosario and a driver picked me up on time and took me to my hotel. I was so happy with the experience that we booked a private tour to Monte Alban, Hierve de Aqua, and a mezcaleria with Rosario later in the week. She speaks great English (and French), is very knowledgeable, and also very flexible to make sure her guests have a great tour. Very highly recommended.Written January 2, 2023
- juliemontgomery1120 contributionsTop notch guide! We loved our tours with Guide Oaxaca! Rosario is an informative and engaging guide and she has a caring and safe driver. She customized the tour for our group. We will reach out to Guide Oaxaca next time we're in the area. Highly recommend!Written December 2, 2022
- mrobles950 contributionsBest Oaxaca Tour!! 😁Best tour guide in Oaxaca!!!! We booked our guides for two different days this week and we had a blast. We told them what we wanted to see and they took us to the best spots. It’s a duo team one is a driver and the other is the tour guide. They pick you up from your Airbnb and take you out for the day sightseeing the best parts of Oaxaca plus take you to amazing restaurants to eat at along the way. I truly appreciate them! They take really good care of you (trust me I had a few too much to drink and had to pull over multiple times during that whole process they helped me out)! I will book them again for a future trip to Oaxaca ❤️❤️❤️!!!!!Written November 26, 2022
- camille61920160 contributionsOutstanding in Oaxaca! We used Guide Oaxaca twice during our stay in Oaxaca for private all day tours to some of the areas outside of town and I can’t recommend them enough! Rosario is an excellent guide as well as Alberto her driver and support. They were on time, very responsive to my questions and messages and had great suggestions for us. We had the best time with them! They are so kind and fun. They both really made our family trip to Oaxaca one we will never forget.Written November 26, 2022
- emunoz1170 contributionsGuide Oaxaca was amazing! The best decision we could have made was to plan our trip with Guide Oaxaca. They provided services to and from the airport, and we also went on day tours for four days. I was traveling with a 6 and 13 year old, and they were able to plan with me an itinerary that worked for the whole family. They went above and beyond to meet out needs. Rosario and Alberto were kind and fun to be around, they were wonderful. We felt like we were among friends. Rosario is very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about Oaxaca’s history, she was able to answer all of our questions. They gave us the amount of time that we wished at each of the sites as we never felt rushed. The attention that they gave us made this one of our best trips to Mexico. Do not hesitate to contact them, you will truly enjoy Oaxaca if you do. I’m already planning to contact them for my next trip to Oaxaca!Written September 30, 2022
- Lloydcripe0 contributionsCelebrating our 60th Wedding Anniversary in OaxacaRosario was our guide and Alberto our van driver. Both were excellent. Rosario is very knowledgeable and shared a lot of information about the places we visited. We used their services several days visiting Monte Alban, Street Art, Mezcal Distillery, Papel Picada craft, Weaver, Arbol de Tule, Convento de San Jerónimo, and Artist Pantaleon Ruiz . We came to Oaxaca to celebrate our 60th wedding anniversary and wanted to see as much as possible in a brief one week visit. They delivered more than we expected. They came to our hotel to pick us up and were prompt. They were organized but flexible. We saw all that was promised and more. They were both professional personable. The van was clean and comfortable and Alberto was a careful efficient driver. We highly recommend their services.Written June 20, 2022
- juliemontgomery1120 contributionsRosario is awesome!Rosario is a top notch guide and Alberto a wonderful driver! After we took a tour with Guide Oaxaca, we learned that they could provide airport transportation on the day we were to return home. We got more information about the area as we drove to the airport and it was the perfect ending to our time thereWritten May 19, 2022
- HeadofSpreesUS0 contributionsGreat Tour with New FriendsAfter being transported to our hotel by Rosario Henandez and Alberto Aguilar (our driver) we decided to take a day-tour with Rosario. We were taken to three parts of Oaxaca City to see incredible wall paintings and Day of the Dead decorations, Mont Alban, a painter/textile weaver's shop, and a Copal Wood Carving Folk Art shop. Rosario happily took us where we wanted to go; all wonderful sights. During the tour, Rosario thoughtfully included Alberto in our activities and conversation, interpreting our conversation into Spanish for him. In between our stops, we were taken to an incredible restaurant, Color, Olor, Y Sabor, where I left my cell phone (too much Mescal?). No problem, Rosario retrieved and returned it to me later in the week. The tour was a highlight of our stay in Oaxaca. More importantly, however, was the feeling that we had all made new friends. Rosaraio is so enthusiastic about her city and her guests! We enjoyed spending time with her so much we hope to visit with her next year when she travels to West Palm Beach, Florida to be with her sister, whose son will be undergoing a medical procedure. For sure, if you travel to Oaxaca, please give Rosario a call and arrange to experience her knowledge, enthusiasm, and joy! You will not be disappointed,Written November 19, 2021
- HeadofSpreesUS0 contributionsPerfect in every way!How fortunate my wife and I were to have booked transport through Viator from the Oaxaca airport to our hotel, Grand Fiesta Americana, during the Day of Dead celebrations. We were so lucky that GO Oaxaca-Mexico's Rosario Henandez was selected to provide the transport. Rosario and Alberto Aguilar (our driver) not only transported us safely to our hotel, but gave us a mini-tour of some of the beautiful areas of Oaxaca. Rosario was so excited to share the beauty of her city and personable, we decided to add a tour with her and Alberto for later in the week (I will write a separate review of the tour).Written November 18, 2021
- 347shirleyb0 contributionsAmazing & Beautiful! This is my third visit to Oaxaca and the third time we hired the excellent services of GO (Guide Oaxaca). The previous visits were just couples. This visit we were a group of 14. Rosario & Alberto beautifully accommodated our large group and are the perfect guides to experience the best of the best while in Oaxaca. They picked us up from the airport and dropped us off in the center of downtown Oaxaca (El Centro) to our beautiful three level home rental. We wanted a dinner in the house and Rosario hooked us up with an amazing local chef! They are super flexible and more than accommodating to what YOU want to do, see, taste and experience! They actually anticipate your needs and and pay attention to the smallest details. They customized a special Nacho Libre tour for seven of us and it was Fantastic! Most of the movie was filmed in Oaxaca. They gave each of us Luchadora masks and souvenirs too. All their tours are excellent! I have to mention that Rosario is passionate and enthusiastic about her hometown Oaxaca. She is always researching and improving her tours to provide her clients with the best possible experience. She recently found a “Maestro Mezcaleria “ off the usual path. Truly the best of the best Mezcal we’ve had. She also has a heart for the local artisans and their unique products & services. They also provided us safe and comfortable transportation to the Pacific Coast of Oaxaca to Puerto Escondido. Yes, you can’t fly and get their faster but the drive is beautiful. You go from city to jungle to tropical beach paradise in the day long road trip. We stopped at a mountain side village for a delicious breakfast at the halfway point. The locals sell handmade wool sweaters, hats & scarves. We stopped along the road and bought fresh coconuts too! All in all, GO is the best way to go when visiting Oaxaca! Can’t wait for my fourth visit next year.Written September 10, 2021
- BackPacker5377730 contributionsAbove and beyond our expectations! The tour itself was so informative and fun. We learned so much from the traditional artisans about their respective crafts and were able to purchase some reasonably priced stuff to take home. The gastronomy experience took place at a mezcaleria near the end of the day and it was absolutely worth the wait. The food stands up to any Michelin starred restaurant. It is full of freshness and local ingredients and flavors while mixing other styles/flavors of cuisine (French, Italian, Japanese) aside from the traditional Mexican that can be found at most of the other restaurants in the city. After our 8 day trip, this remains one of our most favorite meals. Our guides, Rosario and Alberto, were exceptionally kind and really made the trip by personalizing it to what we really like and what they wanted us to see (and what they knew would be open during covid). Although the itinerary only mentioned food, mezcal, and textiles, they took us to see El Tule and a renowned candle maker in the same area as the textile maker where we were able to try making our own wax flowers while learning from the master. We loved this tour so much, we ended up booking two more with these wonderful people during our stay. We will absolutely be back soon and look forward to booking another trip with Rosario and Alberto!Written August 18, 2021
- Marielle03060 contributionsEfficientI would definitely recommend this if you want to check off a bunch of boxes in one day. This tour includes: Tule Tree, Mezcaleria, Teotitlan weaver's, Mitla ruins, and Hierve El Agua. They are relatively quick stops (except for Teotitlan and Hierve El Agua) but each had sufficient time to see what was there. The guide gave us information at each place, except for Hierve El Agua, which I would have liked to know more about, so I guess I'll just read about it online. Lunch was good and the driver was very good.Written January 19, 2020
