- 22windyr0 contributionsCustom tour of Chapultepec ParqueWe did a custom tour through Chapultepec Parque which I highly recommend. It is a beautiful park and the air is so clean. We saw the botanical garden, and some vegetable gardens that showcase the things that will grow in Mexico City. There is also a reading garden, a corn museum, and an amazing artisinal gift shop. The owner was most knowlegeable with regard to history and drew diagrams to explain the development of the city. As this was a custom tour my interests may not reflect yours but I highly recommend this tour. The bicycle was fitted to me and worked very well and I just can't recommend this tour highly enough.Written June 30, 2023
- Adriana M0 contributionsA whole new experienceIt is interesting how the way of perceiving the city changes depending on where you are. You can ride along a wide, shadowless and crowded street and turn the corner to find a narrow, tree-lined street that has a totally different atmosphere and it's complemented by the activities that take place there.Written August 15, 2019
- Brice R0 contributionsBicycle time machineNo need of high tech robot to travel in time! With Antonio and his modest citybikes we got to travel in the past through the history of the construction of the city by the Aztecs till it's destruction by the conquistador Cortes. We even manage to explore the future with the theory of dog_mography. I can't reveal more except maybe delicious quesadillas for lunch. Please go if you are curious about architecture and history, you will not forget soon.Written January 14, 2019

- Shepat450 contributionsDelightful and InformativeCan’t recommend this enough! Gliding through the streets of DF, absorbing the smells and sights, in the company of interesting fellow cyclists and mother henned by the fabulous imparter of fascinating details of Mexican history, Antonio. The 4 hours flew by. Maybe the safety vests werent exactly fashion forward, could that be my only complaint. A backpack is nice to have.Written January 28, 2018
- drlynnt0 contributionsBike TourWe have been to Mx City before but this was the best. Go on Sunday, it’s Bike day. Large parts of the city is closed to auto traffic and given to bikes. About 3 1/2 hrs of lots of interesting sites and tasty snacks along the way. Our group (6 guest x 2 guides) was international and very friendly. Anybody that comes to MX City would love this experience. Great route and wonderful guides. This is a super value and lots of fun.Written November 5, 2017
- 950ngand0 contributionsBiking was fun but the tour was lackingWe had a huge group (roughly 20 or so) and as a result it felt like we mainly biked to be honest. Something I could do myself... We stoped at the zoo where Antonio gave us some background on Mexican history, urban planning, culture and agriculture. Didn't really learn much after that.... We biked to at plaza in Roma, a chocolate shop (only place to use bathroom), a small taco shop in Condesa (get the chorizo, the steak tastes like chicken), and finally biked to Polanco where you could buy ice-cream. Lots of biking and scenery...Written May 31, 2017

We did the bike tour on or first day in Mexico City and it was a fantastic way to learn some local history while getting the lay of the land. It really helped us to get around the rest of the week knowing which neighborhoods and having familiar landmarks. Our tour guide was fantastic and kept things interesting and fun. The tour also gave us confidence on two wheels in a very busy city, so we were able to get around faster and cheaper using the bikeshare programs rather than an Uber.
The lunch and other snack stop were both delicious and added value to the trip. The tour is well worth the price and will give you a much greater understanding of the city, its past, and it's people. Do it!

Doing a bike tour on one of our first days in a big city is becoming our "go to" start for a vacation. It allows us to cover a bunch of terrain, get a feel for what we want to go back and see more of, and mix in some exercise too. Raul was our guide and he was awesome. He shared so much of his historical, cultural, and architectural knowledge on our 4 hour trek. Mexico City has a ton of great (and safe) bike lanes all up and down Reforma and the size and beauty of the many parks was unexpected. There is no other way to get this type of ground level experience in a relatively short amount of time. Highly recommend for the active and curious!

Biking is a really great way to see Mexico City, but it can be a bit overwhelming your first few times, so doing it with a tour group is a great way to build up that comfort. My wife and I took this tour with Raul, a young architect with a lot of knowledge about the history, geography, culture, and of course architecture of Mexico City. He also had a really nice way of gearing the sites to our interests and questions, and not just running through the motions of a daily tour. Basically a great guide who you'd love to meet at the cantina later that afternoon. It's hard not to have a great time when you're getting a little exercise, seeing a huge swath of the city, and hanging with someone genuinely interested in making sure you have a great day. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to friends or family, and when we return, we'll be hoping Raul can still fit us in for Round 2.

My husband and I did a Mexico Bike Tour back in November and we loved it. Antonio was our guide- a very educated, intelligent and well read professor from a University. We visited many different parts of the city and learned so much interesting information that we would have not known otherwise. We stoped at the chocolate museum and then at a very cool taco place where we got awesome authentic tacos. The trip was fun, safe, informative and a highlight of our stay in Mexico city. Highly recommend !!!!

The 4-hour bike tour was amazing! Antonio was a superb guide, super friendly and incredibly informative ... a true fountain of knowledge about so many things related to Mexico City, be it urban planning, demographics, politics, environmental and socioeconomic challenges. He passionately shared that knowledge with us and gave us the best little history lessons. They were personable and it felt like they really cared that we have a good experience. I would suggest doing the tour on a Sunday when some of the streets are closed to traffic. Would be happy to highly recommend this tour.

It may have been a while, but we still remember it fondly, the bike rides through Mexico City.
Beautiful organization,Mexico Bike Tour, with very good employees. We drove through downtown Mexico in a pleasant way but already did the Frida Khalo Tour.
The bikes were fine, the guides of exceptionally good level and we got a nice culinary bite on top.
Especially for the price, you should not leave it.
Like I said, 'the best way to explore Mexico City'

The Bike tour with Antonio and his son Camilo was a wonderful way to experience the city. We learned about the city’s history and design through Antonio’s street chalk lesson and drawing. Enjoyed delicious street vendor food, visit an old church, eat chocolate tamales and cooled off with some local ice cream. Fun day with new people, received great ideas for additional experiences, and would absolutely do it again.

We spent a week touring Mexico City and surrounding area and this by far was our most favorite thing of all. Antonio (an University professor) was fabulous. We (6 of us) all LOVED his explanation of the history of Mexico. It was concise and so understandable. The bike ride was great and covered so much of the West side of the city. We biked about 9 miles. We stopped at the chocolate museum to sample different chocolate treats, saw culinary students crushing cocoa beans, and ended with some great tasting Mexican food. If you can do this I would consider it a must do. We did a walking tour of the historic center first which gave us a beginning of the history of Mexico City and his explanation tied so much of it together for us.

We loved this tour. Marco was an amazing guide. This is a great way to get to see and experience some of Mexico City’s greatest neighbourhoods. Who knew that the city was so bike friendly. The tour’s balance of biking, eating and learning about Mexico City’s history is a perfect way to spend a half day.
