While we have been to Mexico several times, this was our first trip to Mexico City. It is a beautiful, modern city and is the largest city we have been to in our travels. We engaged Estigo for 5 days of private tours including a tour of the Condesa and Roma neighborhoods, La Merced market, Xochimilco, the Frida Kahl Museum, Templo Mayor, Chapultepec Castle, Diego Rivera's studio, the San Angel art market, and so much more. We had so many wonderful experiences and we credit our incredible tour guide Dani. She was so thoughtful and organized in the planning of our experiences providing historical and cultural insights every step of the way. I was fortunate enough to be able to sit in the passenger seat while she drove and while she provided us the facts and stories about the sites and neighborhoods we visited, she also provided fascinating context to what I was seeing out the window. As a United States citizen, I realize my perception of Mexico and Mexico City is colored by my information sources. Dani was able to help me understand the city in a way that only a local and a gifted host can provide. In addition to the sites on our itinerary, Dani as a fellow foodie, introduced us to incredible food experiences including Tavo for the most exquisite cochinita pibil, tuna tostadas and ceviche at Itacate del Mar, and esquites served boatside in Xochimilco. She also made the trip a lot of fun for our 8 year old. We really felt like we had a first class experience and will be booking Estigo Tours and requesting Dani the next time we go to Mexico City!

Our next tour with Ernesto was the Coyaocan & Frida Kahlo Museum & Xochimilco tour. Again, Ernesto’s knowledge and capacity to transmit information is outstanding in that he can simplify things down to its essential nuggets! My wife and I were grateful that Estigo assigned him to us again for this tour. I am sure other tour guides in Estigo’s employ would have been as good, if not better. But we wouldn’t know because Ernesto made sure we got our money’s worth! Definitely recommend this tour for the Frida Kahlo museum, the local mercado and the associated sights and sounds of a vibrant marketplace and, if you are taking this tour on a weekday, the tranquility of Xochimilco. Weekends in Xochimilco is party city so if you are into that, then go on a weekend. Highly recommended!

Our guide, Roberto Quirarte, made this full-day tour a complete treat. He picked us up right on time at the front door of our accommodation and made sure that we were comfortable and happy throughout the experience. He also offered substantive, engaging background information about each of the sites we visited. Everything was truly great. In fact, we took a second full-day tour with him during our week in CDMX (the Teotihuacan and Basilica outing) and it was equally fabulous.

we hired Pepe for four days to see CDMX. worth sharing: the group was me (52); my mom (81) and my son (15). he was amazing: patient, really smart, perfectly fluent in english, nice, a very safe driver, always on time, funny, flexible, and on and on..... we saw the historical center, the frida k. museum, the pyramids outside of the city, the basilica, ate great safe street and market food, walked roma, condesa, took a little boat tour, visited parks, saw jumex (modern art museum) and more! we never felt rushed. he had lots of share. and was just FANTASTIC. as was planning with ESTIGO. they were very responsive and helpful. I would just them again and refer them to everyone! GRACIAS!

What’s the best possible experience you can get from an organized tour? Let me tell you about Estigo tours and how they went above and beyond. First of all, we were looking for customized tours. We wanted to do xochimilco one day and the next Teotihuacan, but without the Guadalupe stop. Our group was around 15 people, mostly couples from DC and Orlando. Let’s start with Xochimilco, which I highly recommend. Our tour guide Yuyuen was friendly and warm. We arrived at the Natividad area and realized none of us had coins to use the bathrooms. Yuyuen opened her purse to make sure we all had coins and then out of nowhere found us ice for our drinks. When have you heard of a tour guide caring so much about our comfort? On the Teotihuacan tour, Fermin, who is getting his PHD is archeology was great. Not too much detail, not too little. Only a couple of quirky jokes. Mind you walking around for 2 1/2 hour can be long and boring, this wasn’t. We learned so much. After the tour, we had scheduled lunch but the spot (Gruta) had given away our table which for a group of 15 is a problem. Fermin made a couple of calls and they were able to fit us in at another place close by. It was great. I’m not sure why anybody would choose any other tour company. They care, arrived on time, provided great overviews, and were professional. All tours were done in English. Highly recommend!

This company was incredible! They helped us plan an incredibly itinerary in Mexico City and our guide Fermin was incredible. He was very knowledgeable about the city and a pleasure to be around. He took us to great spots for lunch and mezcal tasting. Overall, great experience!

Such a great day! Gonzalo was so helpful in planning a custom private tour for our group of ten on short notice. He was responsive and kind through all the questions and back and forth.
