About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 475nigeln0 contributionsTake this trip to TulaThis was a truly excellent trip. It was just my wife and I. The guide, Gabriel, was very competent (his timing of the visits and the drives was excellent, he knew exactly where he was going, he had his own itinerary around the sites that took in everything) and very knowledgeable -- knew a great deal about two very different periods (Classical and Postclassical for Tula, and then the Colonial period for the Jesuit monastery at Tepotzotlan), and knew a lot about a lot of different kinds of thing (political history, religion, flora and fauna, etc.). Political history and political art/architecture are my favorites, but a highpoint was when he showed that these insects (cochineals) that live on prickly pear trees produce a scarlet dye used in manuscript illuminations etc. Plus we have little Spanish, but his English was terrific. Great bang for the buck. More tourists should go to Tula -- maybe more memorable than Teotihuacan. Just brilliant.Written July 28, 2024
- nadirv500 contributionsA Pleasant tripGabriel spoke fluent English and very knowledgeable.Learnt a lot and enjoyed Pueblo .Nothing much to see in Cholula. Just nice to visit, Coming back to Mexico City on a Sunday was horrendous .To drive20 miles took close to 2 hours.Written April 28, 2024
- michaelbQ4121ME0 contributionsPrivate tour to Palenque, Agua Azul and Misol HaEnjoyed the private our to all three sites. Had a driver which took me to all three and then an English speaking guide at Palenque who was good. Explained things well, took good photos and overall enough time spent. The driver gave me enough time at both waterfall sites and drove very well. Enjoyed the day trip!Written March 24, 2024
- 338patricioo0 contributionsGlad to have stopped!Met a great Spanish speaking guide Agustín. Maybe he speaks English also. Enjoyed the tour. Smaller than other archeological sites, but some really special things to see. Really unique. Fascinating plants also!Written January 23, 2024
- mariajR6663EK0 contributionsWorth it!Wow our tour guide was amazing! He knew so much about the city, local neighborhoods, and even gave us a little background of his life. Super safe, trustworthy man. Book it!Written November 30, 2023
- Noah M0 contributionsTortureWe spent approximately 6 hours sitting in a tiny hot car. The traffic certainly wasn’t the fault of the tour guide or operator but it was an uncomfortable and boring day. The tour guide was 78 years old and very monotone and - I hate to say - boring. Tula itself is not as nice as most ruins I’ve been to in Mexico. There’s hardly anything there but the statues and what is there is reconstructed for the most part. We did not need two hours there walking around in the hot sun. Then the Pueblo Magico was so crowded and just filled with gift shops. The church is beautiful but no different than what you can see in Mexico City.Written July 22, 2023
- rexmundo770 contributionsWow, let the adventure startI will recommend this two places. Not to many tourists here. When I went here I was the only. You will learn a lot about the Native tribe Toltec. Go there and experience this two placesWritten July 9, 2023
- alysonf2330 contributionsFun, history, nature, food, scenery, local lifeWe did the TOUR YUCATAN ARCHEONATURA and the tour to Isla Contoy ax a group of fry Friends in May 2023. Excellent service - wonderful trip. Our guide for 4 days Ramon was amazing. He was extremely knowledgeable and also fun. Highly recommendWritten June 3, 2023
- robertdG1250MF0 contributionsIncredible ruinsAlthough slightly off the beaten path in the Chiapas region it's definitely worth either driving to or taking a guided tour. The Temple of the inscriptions, Acropolis and the Temple of the Red Queen are without a doubt worth a visit! If going on your own I recommend taking the second entrance farther up you'll thank me later! There are bathrooms, drinks and food vendors available on site as well as parking for 50 pesosWritten May 28, 2023
- Tela9300 contributionsSurprise FeesWe decided to make a stop in Mexico City to visit one of my aunts who is having health issues. Wanted to do something we hadn’t done yet, with not too much walking but fun, this was it! Our guide had great information and took his time and gave us great information and entertained my aunt by letting her chime in the knowledge she has of the city. What had me confused and upset was that he let us know that the tour company needed $72.00 extra, in cash, in addition to what we had already paid. We asked what it was for and he shrugged his shoulders and said he had no idea but was informed he had to collect it from us before we left Xochimilco. Instead of fully enjoying the trajinera ride, I called (no answer) and was emailing the tour company to find out why. The last email stated that everything was taken care of and the enjoy our tour. As of yet we haven’t hear anything from them, so I know we were ripped off here, as my husband didn’t want to make a fuss and paid. I would HIGHLY advice to use a different company to do this tour.Written May 26, 2023
- makennajordyn0 contributionsA Great TourMy husband and I really enjoyed our tour with Salvador (Sal)! Even though the Tulum ruins were closed for construction, the Coba ruins were a great alternative (although a longer drive from our resort). Sal was incredibly knowledgable about the ruins and we sincerely enjoyed chatting and getting to know him on the drive. After the ruins, Sal took us to a wonderful Mayan restaurant, and while it was definitely a hole-in-the-wall, it was delicious. Lastly, the cenote was so refreshing, especially after walking around the ruins. We highly recommend this tour! Private is definitely the way to go.Written May 22, 2023
- A4127CXannel0 contributionsPrivate tour worth the extra costWe were guided on a private tour for 2 by Gabrie who was exceptionally knowledgeable and explained the history of both the Floating gardens and Coyoacan. Gabriel was an easy guide his English was fluent and the tour went at our pace. Unless you are in need of company I would highly recommend spending the extra for an easier stress free experience.Written April 8, 2023
- Emerald10D0 contributionsAmazing and educationalManuel - a retired architect - was fantastic! His enthusiasm for his country, its history & culture was infectious. We were absolutely delighted and couldn't stop smiling as we saw and learned much more than we could ever have expected. And were charmed in the process. If you do nothing else in Mexico City, we would highly recommend a tour with Manuel.Written March 22, 2023
- sudun_110 contributionsA visit to Yaxchilan and Bonampak from PalenqueBeing close to Mexico-Guatemala border, getting to sites from Palenque took a bit of driving. The tour was from 5:30am - 7:30pm. A good breakfast was included during a drive break. Boat trip to Yaxchilan was great! The archeological site was amazing. A bit of climbing was needed. We were given only 2 hours to explore the site - I could have used 4+. Included lunch was not so great, the place didn't have electricity. (not sure how they refrigerate/preserve food). Also, all drinks including water/non-alcoholic ones are extra. A beer was MXN75/80. We visited Bonampak in the afternoon - only 1 hour was allocated for this site. Wearing masks are mandatory to view paintings.Written March 2, 2023
- B7235HSmaryb0 contributionsNot worth itThe driver was late to start with, then he drove like a crazy man, the tour of the canals was great but too short. Then on the way home, the driver never showed us anything else in coyucan. Very expensive for what you get, very disappointedWritten February 23, 2023

We specifically included a leg of our trip to stop in CDMX because my wife has wanted to see the Frida Kahlo museum for a very long time. We booked months in advance.
On date of the tour, tour guide just never showed up. After several attempts to call the tour company we finally got in touch and they said the guide has sent an email that they needed to reschedule. Never happened, they are liars. The kahlo museum sells out weeks in advance so we were unable to go. Terrible.

Hello. We invite you to review the case with Viator because we did try to try to contact you through them customer service, and propose another to change the date, due to the unavailability of tickets at Frida Museum.

I was hugely disappointed to have my tour cancelled 2 hours before pick up at my hotel on the morning of my booked and confirmed tour. The tour was being changed to the afternoon when I had a conflict and the guide promised to see what he could do and would call me back in 5 min. I literally waited by my hotel phone for an hour before reaching out the the contact number to find out what my options were. What made it even worse is that the tour guide who called me then had reported that I had cancelled AND did not answer my phone when he called me back.
This was such a disappointment as I had very limited free time. I later saw the outside of the house but tickets are sold in advance and the lines are crazy long if you are not with a tour. Beware that a confirmation is not a guarantee of a tour time.

Dear Jane,
Let us comment that your opinion seems quite unfair and then explain the true circumstances of the case:
We receive your reservation with only 2 days in advance and before sending your confirmation, we request the entrance tickets to the Frida Kahlo Museum, for the 9 am schedule, which were confirmed by the museum administration. The night before the tour, unfortunately they informed us that due to an overbooking for the morning schedule, some of the last reservations received would be changed to the afternoon schedule (2 pm). Our Guide, tried in the morning early to revert the change, but unfortunately couldn't, so had to inform you and offer available alternatives, which were: take the tour a few hours later or postpone it the next day. We understand that for personal reasons you could not accept any of the 2 alternatives offered, however we also hope that you understand that the museum schedule change did not depend on us. Finally our guide and our vehicles were both ready to carry out the activity, on time. Anyway, if you return to Mexico City, we invite you to contact us with enough advance and we will gladly take you to visit both museums. Find us available for any further clarification.
Best regards,

Gabriel was a great guide who was very knowledgeable about the social and political history in Mexico and how it was represented in art. We were bummed that the Diego studio was closed but the Frieda house was worth the trip.

Fantastic experience. Nice museum which showed how life once lived in the house. Beautiful colors and beautiful light. Interesting history that is told both in the house itself and the associated museum.

Hi I would like to book this for Sept 13 for 6 people but B4 booking i have a couple of questions...our flight gets in at 11:30am is there any way our tour can start at 2pm since its a private tour?
Written August 1, 2019
Hi Linda, the latest time to start this tour is 11 am, in order to have enough time to visit both museums.

Why are visitors who wish to book a tour to the Rivera|Kahlo house/studio in San Angel directed instead to the page for the Frida Kahlo home in Coyoacan?
Written February 4, 2019
Hi Antonio, that`s because the Frida Kahlo house (Casa Azul) and Frida Kahlo Studio are 2 different places, and they are normally not included in the same day tour.
