About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- kaylasoo0 contributionsA pleasant day trip out side of Mexico CityWe went on a day tour and Angela was prompt on time and also very knowledgeable with Mexico History. She was responsive to all the curious questions I asked and provide places to go and help me purchase a few goodies.Written October 11, 2024
- Yadira M0 contributionsDon't miss itAlan did an exceptional job in explaining the pyramids also made us feel comfortable thank you very much. Hector is a great driver thanks for safety driving us around. Over all great guys hope to see them in the future for more tours thank you for the experience.Written October 6, 2024
- juanitap6090 contributionsDay trip Mexico City to PueblaOur guide, Marcos Martinez was very knowledgeable and shared the history of all the places we visited in Puebla. The only drawback was that while in the van the view was obstructed by a monitor that was in the middle of the van behind the driver and the passenger seat where the guide sat. The vehicle wrap also obstructed our view while looking out the window and we weren't able to fully admire the beautiful scenery. Other than that everything was great and I would recommend this trip.Written September 24, 2024

- jordipQ1238QL0 contributionsSuper knowledgeable guide and exciting adventureInes (our guide) and Oscar (our driver) took great care of our group. I had a million questions while visiting Teotihuacan, and Ines had all the answers. She is a wealth of knowledge and very fun to hang out with. I totally recommend this activity, even for solo travelers like me.Written September 7, 2024

- josmeryc20240 contributionsDO NOT GO TO LUCHA LIBRE CDMX WITH WAYAK TOURWe booked the Lucha Libre tour with you for Friday 12 July. 1. We booked 4 tickets and when we book together we expect to be seated together. That did not happen, one of us had to sit apart from the rest for the whole show. We should have been made aware on the time of booking that the tickets would not be seated together. That way we could have chosen another tour or booked seats another way! 2. When we made our guide aware of the seating issue on the tickets, she only said she was aware and that since it was a Friday night it was not possible to get them together! She made no effort to say sorry or fix the issue. In fact I was descriminated she was very rude and racist when she basically order me to sit apart due t I was the only Mexican person with my family and she said I should leave the family together (my Norwegian family) that was a completely racist comment and criteria. 3. We were picked up late, this led to us missing parts of the show we didn’t receive any chance to explore the area in the arena or buy any souvenir even tough there were lots of nice things that we could buy or take pictures with the fighters, the guide were in a rush basically to ride off with the tour. 4. The information given in the bus was not very good, the guide which was supposed to be bilingual, spoke poor English. She did not give any practical information about what would happen when we got to the arena, or about for example where bathrooms were and when departure back would be. 5. In the description of the tour it also said that tequila shots were included, we never even got the offer! 6. We left the stadium so fast that it was not possible to stop and buy merchandise or take pictures or anything else. My advice is : Ask about everything if you gonna pay for this tour. YOUR SAFETY ITS IMPORTANT ASK WHO GONNA PICK YOU UP WICH KIND OF CAR THE MEETING POINTS ASK ABOUT YOUR SETS FIRST AND ASK AT LEAST FOR A PICTURE OF THEM BEFORE YOU GO AND THE TIME TO CANCEL ITS OVER. CHECK THE PRICE FIRST IF IS IN DOLLARS OR MEXICAN PESOS. THE TICKETS COST 500 MEXICAN PESOS EACH AND YOU CAN BUY IT IN TICKET MASTER OR IN THE ARENA .AND THERE ARE CHEAPER TICKETS. THE UBER WILL COST YOU NO MORE THAN 200 PESOS IF YOU ARE STAYING IN THE ROMA AREA OR THE CENTER AREA OF THE CITY AND THERE IS LOTS OF TAXYS OUTSIDE OF THE ARENA. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE THAT WE HAD TO PAY 5000 FOR A POOR EXPERIENCE THAT SO FAR ITS THE WORST TOUR I HAVE EVER HAD. THE SHOW ITS AMAZING AND COMPLETELY WORTH IT JUST DO THE BEST CHOICE WITH YOUR MONEY.Written July 13, 2024
- megank2080 contributionsBook Early - Great TourThis is a great tour! Inez, our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The only reason for the 4 is that we couldn't get tickets to the Frida Kahlo house. Buying tours, including this one, doesn't guarantee tickets. They sell out super early. Book well before your trip. We enjoyed Coyoacan and the tour of murals at UNAM. The boat ride at Xochimilo was a highlight of our trip. We got a private boat. Inez helped us navigate the drinks and snacks sold along the river.Written July 10, 2024
- Companion2165930 contributionsOverall Very GoodTeotihuacan Small-Group Dawn Tour I enjoyed the tour. Francis was really knowledgeable and fun. Juan Carlos was a good driver. The only thing I didn’t Iike was the stop at the store. I know most tours do that and get a commission by the store but I would have preferred to buy from the vendors at the pyramids. The prices at the store were higher and they didn’t have any item I was looking for.Written July 8, 2024
- mahermukalled0 contributionsGreat experience from a solo traveller's perspectiveI was on solo trip in Mexico city and wanted a good opportunity to leave the city a bit without the hassle. This tour was perfect. Got picked up near my Airbnb , and got to see different locations across the city with commentary. Stopped at some locations within the city and finally made our way to the pyramids. The guide (Raphael) was very kind and knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions (I ask a lot of questions). Got a free tasting of local drinks (they were very good) and ice cream, as well as a brief explanation of some of the rocks found on site and previously used in different crafts. Was also good to chat with other tourists on the tour. Driving (Hugo) was also good and safe. Highly recommended.Written June 19, 2024
- rsmc3150 contributionsAn amazing tour not to be missedThe tour was amazing and we had excellent English speaking guide Rafael and sites were awesome.- We were picked up from our hotel then taken to the Aztec site in-the centre of Mexico City and then to Teotihuacán pyramids. We climbed part of the Pyramid of the Sun without crowds of tourists. Then we went to a really good tequila tasting and tasted lots of varieties. Then back to look at the Pyramid of the Moon and a walk down the avenue of the Dead. This was followed by an option for lunch at a very nice authentic Mexican restaurant. The cost was reasonable and the food was very nice . Then we were driven back our hotel in the early afternoon.Written May 16, 2024
- bismarckl_860 contributionsCompletely recommendedWe have as tour guide Mr. Rafael. and as driver Mr. Daniel Hernandez. Mr. Rafael he is super knowledgeable and provide great tips and information. And Mr. Daniel, he was super nice and drove properly (in Mexico City this can be challenging). Totally recommended.Written May 7, 2024

- AJBigs0 contributionsAwesome Angela, but time of tour was offAngela is an AMAZING tour guide and so knowledgeable! Loved her! Our issue is that the tour we signed up for said it would end at 4pm. As soon as we got picked up, they said we wouldn’t be back until 5:30 pm maybe. So we had to leave the tour early and miss Frida’s House. Please be honest on TA w start and end times. Also, the Blue House was scheduled for the very end of the day when it is most crowded and we would have only jaded a short time.Written April 10, 2024

The tour from 9:00 a.m. to around 5:00 p.m. was well organized, we had a very competent guide who spoke very good English. Teotihuacan and the history behind it is very impressive and worth the tour alone. Tlatelolco is on the way and is therefore OK to visit, but in our opinion not worth a visit on its own (there is little to see). The shrine of Guadalupe is the Catholic pilgrimage site in America. For us as non-Catholics, it is interesting to see where very large crowds of people make pilgrimages every year. The story behind the pilgrimage site is really mysterious. The demonstration in a souvenir shop was also interesting, showing the very wide range of uses of cacti (the background was of course the sale of souvenirs). At midday we went to a restaurant where we could have lunch (not included in the tour price). The lunch was good but the price was too expensive compared to other restaurants in Mexico City (you pay a tourist price). The tour as a whole is absolutely recommended, however.

The tour was really enjoyable and our tour guide Francisco was really friendly. The tour is great value for money however be ready for a long day as you see a lot over the course of the tour. The group was small (6 people) and commentary was in both English and Spanish

Our trip was marred by a crazy driver and indifferent guide. On the way to our destination we were told we would stop for a local guide to show us something to do with our tour, but it turned out it was just a scam to force us to buy junk. We were stuck there for 40 minutes or more. Our van didn’t have seat belts except for the driver and guide. Our driver drove erratically, was watching his phone as we were headed back to Mexico City and our guide watched on, ran red lights and as he turned left into the last attraction without signaling he struck a motor scooter, knocking the rider to the ground, and at first could not be bothered even to get out and check on the rider. Our guide did nothing. The guide was rude to us when we exited the van at the accident scene due to safety concerns. We had to get a Uber back to our hotel. Earlier, when the air conditioning was not working, the guide only helped reluctantly. We received related emails from trip adviser before the trip which were confusing and unwanted. On the morning we left, our driver or guide decided to advance our departure time with virtually no notice and we could not comply. We will never use trip adviser again for anything, nor Wayak Tours.

Loved the tour. Our guide, Alan Fernando, was knowledgable and interesting. Tip: if you want to buy any souvenir, buy from street vendors at the base of the pyramid; it's much cheaper for the same stuff than at the shops before the pyramid.

This was an outstanding tour. Marcos y Óscar were an excellent combo of a knowledgeable and accessible tour guide and a patient and masterful driver. Couldn't recommend this more. The tour was bilingual and Marcos did a good job to provide English-language information to those who needed it at different times than those needing Spanish information, giving everyone an optimal amount of time to explore.
All of the tourists we interacted with were very pleased with the experience. Volveremos a repetir con Wayak, sí o sí.

Not very efficient. Tour guide wasted an hour getting tickets into Teotihucan pyramids while we were all stuck inside hot minivan. Shrine of Guadalupe was waste of time for me, had no interest. It might have worked if pyramid site was done first, but as it was last part on the trip, everybody was already tired. I don't recommend this trip tour - if you to visit pyramid, do it separate without any other stops early in the morning before the crowds arrive. All in it was a nine (9) hour day and I only got two (2) hours of enjoyment at the pyramids.

Pick up from hotel on time. Small bus with air conditioner & seat belts. Small tour 10 people. Tour guide Marco spoke English well & was knowledgeable about the area & history. He answered all our questions. The detour to a shop selling Liquors made from Nopales was short & informative. We received quite a lot of samples. The last stop to see Church of Guadeloupe was short. At that point we were tired and happy to be on our way back to hotel. The bus took us to 3 destinations and made a stop for lunch after the temples . Driver Rafa did a good job driving us around.Marco made sure to have 2 rest stops for bathroom as well. Total time was 9 hours. The tour at $42 per person was well priced. I would recommend this tour.

Alan Fernando our guide is the reason we've rated this tour a 5/5. He was very amicable and considerate towards our very diverse 10 member group. The van was comfortable and perfect for a small group like ours. We (family of 2 adults and 1 6 yr old) had a lovely day with a prompt and timely start at 8 in the morning (communicated well in advance) and visits to Teotihuacan, Tlatelolco and Guadeloupe with informative and entertaining narrarive through the day from Alan.
The day was organised very well by Alan and it meant we finished the tour by 4.30pm slightly earlier than planned. Alan was also very kind and helpful in providing recommendations outside of the scope of the tour and we enjoyed our conversations with him
We would strongly recommend his tours

Our tour guide Jorge was incredibly easy to hear and understand in English and his Spanish was clear also (I am a non-native speaker). He led our tour in English and Spanish and seamlessly switched between the two languages with a dynamic delivery of historical information. He really cares about history and his passion for the subject comes through in his teaching during the tour. He quizzed us during the tour and my fried travel brain could remember almost nothing, but his style of teaching was excellent.
I enjoyed the class we had at a stop with Juanita in which she demonstrated how the agave plant is used and colored. She also gave us a variety of tequilas to taste before setting us loose to shop in her store.
This was an interesting day and an excellent tour.

Perfecto! Fernando & Joel are the best. Direct pick-up from our hotel, small group, excellent bilingual tour guide (really informational in the sense of CDMX/Mexican culture, not only joking around like the Cancun guides usually do). And the tour itself consists of little shopping but mucha worthy sightseeing - the hill at Guadalupe is stunning. Tlatelolco is less famous but no less impressive. Teotihuacan's beauty is self-evident. Great time arrangement. Great restaurant for lunch (though not included), too. Even the time spent on the roads is much appreciated bc you could see the pretty city streets, the churches & the graffiti. We really enjoyed the day! Can't believe it only took 8h
