- BernieRussek0 contributionsExceeded my expectations incrediblyI didn’t know what to expect, but reviews were awesome. After my visit, not enough good things can be said about this experience The owner is the kindest, rest of the staff always helpful and smiling I learned a lot about elephant behavior before seeing them. Then we prepared part of the food, excellent touch to the tour. All the food was delicious and sufficient. Finally, we fed and shared time with the elephants. I never thought I was ever going to get that close to an elephant. An experience that will last for a lifetime Best of all, elephants look cared and happy. Can’t wait to bring my family whenever I come back to Phuket.Written October 12, 2024
- jenniferjG8699UY0 contributionsInformative and animal friendly encounterBooked a full day tour. Shame on me I forgot the name of the super nice and professional tour guide from Florida, who had just been working there for three months but seemed like she spent years with this organization. WFFT really cares about the wellbeing of animals. In general there is a lot of space for the animals and if there are some, that live in smaller cages there is a unique reason for that, which gets explained comprehensively. They inform about other animal Encounter Options in Thailand, such as Elephant Trekking, which really opens the eyes, informing what process the elephants go through before. Very important to know. It was possible for the group to feed two of the elephants that are (half) blind and need to be handfed. Other than that we could see many types of monkeys, apes, bears, iguanas, birds, slow loris, tigers, leopards, and some more. In this tour you can just feel the passion and effort the organization puts into their work and I am glad there is a place like this. Would really recommend to take this tour if you want an honest and animal friendly encounter. Thank you so much for the lovely tour!Written October 9, 2024
- Shiri19800 contributionsIt was the best so fun and just awesome!!!The whole experience was so amazing, educational and just so much fun. The cooking class was a great addition and buffet lunch was so yummy too. Would definitely recommend this to everyoneWritten October 7, 2024
- odessadiamond0 contributionsGreat solution for when you’re at a loss of what to doWe booked on the morning of the experience and chose our own itinerary for the 8 hour drive. Danny picked us up promptly and drove safely through the torrential rain to various places including Wat Chalong, the Big Buddha (closed due to a landslide but still awe inspiring), Kan Eang at Pier for lunch then on to Old Phuket Town and Lard Yai Market. He was a lovely travelling companion. It was a great way to see the sites we wanted to. We would highly recommend this company.Written October 6, 2024
- Nick326630 contributionsKoh lak elephant sanctuaryThe other reviews are pretty spot on. We were bought the experience as a gift and the sanctuary was chosen by our daughter. Once explained to us about the welfare of the elephants and you observe them in thier habitat. It all made perfect sense . (That they are not there to perform. That is where they have been rescued from) (It's not natural to be in there washing them ) Tony (Benn, superstar ) was our expert guide And he was so attentive, caring and informative throughout our visit. We did get to feed them, walk with them and watch them bathe in the river . Most humbling. Went to a local farm, cut down banana leafs Picked a coconut and drank the milk Picked things that only seen in supermarkets back home. Took us to the waterfall. And showed me how to extract rubber from the trees 🌳 . Fascinating. We also did a thai cookery class They went beyond our expectations as the head chef 👨🍳 was prepared for us to learn four different thai courses. Nothing was too much trouble. We can't thank 🙏 all and everyone of the staff enough as they all played thier part and made us feel like royalty It has made our day/ holiday/year.Written October 5, 2024
- 425mistyl0 contributionsThe Best Elephant Sanctuary ExperienceI was the only visitor that day so I had a VIP experience. Mr. Yu and the rest of the staff were amazing. I enjoyed being up close and personal with the elephants.Written October 2, 2024
- claudea6770 contributionsAmazingThis was a truly special experience, to learn about elephants and partake in their care. Todd was great at walking us through things. The staff and the keepers clearly love these elephants and take great care of them.Written October 1, 2024
- C571FNanjab0 contributionsOverpriced & DisappointingThe dance acts were of poor quality, the performance did not resemble the pictures on Tripadvisor. We were offered a drink upon arrival. The performance took place in a large arena with a nice light show. The dancers did not use the stage but performed on ground level. The movements of the dancers that were supposed to be 'behind the scenes' were all visible to the audience which was very unprofessional. The venue was nearly empty with only about 30 spectators. We left after 15 minutes.Written September 29, 2024
- Arielle J0 contributionsFantasticThis was the best experience EVER!!! Literally so so insane to be up close and personal with the elephants and the staff are so so lovely and clearly love and care for their elephants deeplyWritten September 29, 2024
- Mayank9696960 contributionsVery nice experienceWe had a very good experience with around 25 people on board. Our guide, Nick, and his team were fantastic—funny, polite, and incredibly helpful. The day trip included visits to different islands, offering plenty of time to enjoy canoeing at multiple spots. We explored beautiful rock formations, and the staff was very flexible, even letting me take a swim while Nick guided the canoe, which was a nice touch. The sea caves and coming through them was just appalling. Unlike Phi Phi tour, one thing to keep in mind is that in these islands, water is naturally a bit murkier/not clean. So you can swim but can't snorkel or see any marine life. James Bond Island felt a bit rushed; we had enough time for a few photos, but beyond that, there wasn’t much that stood out there. However, the true highlight of the trip was the chance to canoe and swim on a less crowded, more secluded island. The team made the experience even more enjoyable by playing pranks, joining us for a game of football, and even jumping and flipping off the boat. The food provided was delicious, and they were considerate enough to accommodate our vegetarian preferences. A truly magical part of the trip was at night when they took us near the rocks to show glowing plankton. Although we couldn’t capture them on camera, the sight was surreal and will stay etched in our memories. Another standout aspect was how the crew managed to time our stops perfectly so that we were often the only boat around, ensuring a more intimate and peaceful experience with very few crowds.Written September 26, 2024
- bryanwC4202ME0 contributionsExploring tourist attractionsThis was an greay way to go around the city and explore. My driver Joe was amazing, he allowed me to create my itinerary and gave suggestions on things to do! Dispite it being a rainy day, every suggestion he gave ended up woking out.Written September 19, 2024
- saraliu0180 contributionsUnforgettable experienceI’ve got good experience here, where you can learn the knowledge about elephants, feed them, take a walk with them and help bathe them in the river. It was very nice.Written September 15, 2024
- O8624JAianw0 contributionsOnce in a Lifetime ExperienceThis was the highlight of our three-week trip to Southeast Asia. We did a half-day tour, with easy pickup from our hotel at 11:30 am. Mr. Yu, our tour guide, met us when we arrived and shared with us his extensive knowledge of elephant care. After the presentation, we had a delicious lunch, and then chopped the elephant food. We then spent about two hours feeding the elephants, walking with them, and bathing them. The experience is definitely for the more outdoorsy, so bring clothes you don't mind getting a bit dirty. They provide good shoes and shower facilities for afterwards. In all, we couldn't recommend this experience enough!Written September 12, 2024
- W9509DLdamians0 contributionsReliable Taxi OptionOur holiday resort is about an hour outside of Phuket so after exploring several options we decided on this 4 hour tour. Basically the driver will take you where you want to go. We just wanted to explore Old Town Phuket before we went home. Our careful driver, Joe , was a very pleasant man with plenty of local knowledge and a wide knowledge of Thai history. RecommendWritten September 10, 2024
- hirok8280 contributionsExcellent Muay Thai experienceOur family that went are martial arts fans but had not seen or done much Muay Thai before. We were very keen to watch some whilst in Thailand and were not disappointed! Absolutely amazing fighters from the insanely skilled kids, brutal women and of course highly trained men. They do a ritual before fighting you can watch and the fights were truly amazing, explosive and engaging - 10/10 on that front for sure. So much respect to such humble, talented and hardworking fighters. The stadium is sort of located in a very awkward place, we got lost trying to find it on Google maps and went down some dark alleys to find it was which was strange but asked some locals and they kindly directed us. We paid for the stadium ticket and got a shirt included. I believe you can get cheaper ones than this though so book in advance. The booking will send you a voucher THEN the ticket so make sure you use the second, they had our name on a separate list when we arrived. The stadium is more typical Asian so it's rowed/stairs as seats facing the ring, with screens around and the VIP seats have actual seats and are closer. Toilets are not brilliant by western standard but okay for SE Asia. Take wipes to clean it.Written September 7, 2024
