Mexico City Bike Tour: Coyoacan and Frida Kahlo Museum

Overview

Coyoacan is an arts district in Mexico City, once a sleepy village where Frida Kahlo spent most of her life. Famous for its handicraft markets, trendy bars and restaurants, and the unmissable Kahlo museum, the neighborhood is packed with treasures. During this one-of-a-kind guided tour, you’ll hop a bicycle to glide through the colorful arts hub, topped off with a visit to Frida Kahlo’s former home.

What to Expect

Coyoacan, once a colonial village packed with colorful churches, is most famous today as an arts district in Mexico City and Frida Kahlo’s former home, giving the neighborhood a fiery creative flair.

While most tourists discover Coyoacan on foot, the best way to soak up the local ambiance is on a bicycle. During this fun-filled guided tour, cycle through bustling squares and sprawling handicraft markets, discovering hidden hotspots usually frequented by locals. The visit is well-suited for first-time visitors looking to get an overview of the dynamic former village.

Meet your guide in La Condesa and ride down cobblestoned streets, past colonial churches to the famous plaza of Coyoacan. Bask in one of Mexico’s liveliest art districts, with its flashy murals and one-of-a-kind galleries. Pick up some indigenous textiles at the open-air market before stopping at the Frida Kahlo Museum for a private tour of the painter’s former home.

Great biking and Frida Kahlo's house was amaznig

Lucre and Luis did a great job making sure we saw a lot of Mexico City and biked safely. It was the perfect first day to get acquainted and see Frida Kahlo's home. The Coyoacan neighborhood is must-visit.

Good easy bike tour

This tour was very good. I went on a Saturday and still there were no problems with traffic as our guides took us mostly on designated bike lanes. The ride itself was not strenuous at all as Mexico City is flat. The guides were very...More

Yes...we skipped the line. We were given an hour at the museum. It is very relaxed..if you needed more time..I'm sure you could ask. I thought an hour was ample time.
