Excellent Tour of the Historic Center
We had an excellent guide who went above and beyond. She certainly did a fine job covering the keys sites in the historic center. But she also gave us some great advice regarding street food, restaurants, and other sites to visit. She was terrific.

    Must do
Very informative. Our guide gave a historial perspective of Coyoacan and the houses in the area. Suggested a great place to eat which we as a family thought served the best meal of our week long trip.

    An Amazing Evening of Fun!
My husband and I had long wanted to experience Lucha Libre and were glad we chose this experience. Our guide Leo was informative, funny and kept the evening moving. We first walked to a cantini where there was plenty of dancing, pulque and beer. This was followed up by the main event across the way at the arena. After watching four matches, I am hooked. A fantastic tour!

A really exceptional tour of Coyoacan
Sofia was incredible. I've done a few city tours and they're sometimes fun but a bit boring. But this was so much fun. It feels like our guide, Sofia, was very conversational and didn't have a script. It felt like talking to a very interesting friend. Highly recommended.

    cheap tequila and terrible seats
This experience with our guides is probably for a younger group, not us who have grandchildren and who are not drinkers. The shouting at us to begin the experience was all about getting us drunk. Taking us all to a tequila bar and pouring tequila down one’s throat was not what I expected. They changed the meeting place of this tour which was the first not good move to a dark meeting spot near a statue which was hard to get to with traffic on a Saturday night in Mexico City. There was no historical context, no explanation of the wrestling masks. And most importantly the seats were terrible. And you got to the arena after the games began.

Fun and informative overview of Roma and Condesa
It was the walking tour of Roma and Condesa. The tour guide, a young woman (can not remember her name) was energetic, did not mind answering questions, provided suggestions for places to return to which I did over the next few days.

a fantastic guide to Merida's Mayan history
Luis provided the most sincere but informative tour of Merida's Mayan history. There was no question he couldn't answer and was willing to elaborate on any subject. I was disappointed when our nearly 3 hour tour ended.

Understand the motivation and history behind the famous Mexican murals
We spent a fantastic few hours with our tour guide Sofia, looking at a surprisingly big number of murals at different locations around Centro Histórico. From public buildings and markets to the new Museo Vivo del Muralismo. Sofia took us to secluded places to see murals that only few people know are there to see. We saw some of the best examples of murals by the famous Rivera and Orozco as well as by their disciples. Understanding the historical and political environment from Sofia's eclectic knowledge makes the experience much richer. Highly recommended.

Takes you beyond the typical tourist experience!
This was one of the highlights of our time in Mexico City. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and took us to see murals that we could never have found on our own. I was thrilled to see a Noguchi mural and several murals by students of the great muralists in markets and other public spaces. Our guide's nickname is "Warrior" because he is from Guerrero. He had quite a following. Several members of our group had previously been on tours with him.

Fabulous guide. She was so knowledgeable, smart and caring. Everyone on the tour was thrilled. The murals are inside three buildings and the tour description is exactly accurate.

We did this experience a few days ago and have nothing but positive things to say about it!

First of all, this is great value for money at just $600MXN pp, cheaper than most of the tours that we could find. You don't need a private tour for this excursion and we had around 15-16 people which didn't feel too big at all. You get essentially a full day tour but because of the early start, the return to CDMX at 3pm means you can still do a couple of activities when you get back to the city. The use of public transport was easy and efficient with no issues whatsoever.

While we loved Teotihuacan and the beautiful Sun and Moon pyramids, our guide (Julio Cesar - like the emperor as he liked to remind us!) absolutely stole the show and made this tour an unforgettable experience. As a student of Mexican history, he is incredibly knowledgeable and gave us the historical and mythological context into this sacred site which made it such a better experience than just wandering around. He was personable and made sure each and every person on the tour enjoyed themselves and also helped one of the other tour members get her phone back from the bus!

Absolutely would recommend this tour for Teotihuacan - you won't regret it!

Thank you very much for your comment, the entire Estación México team works very hard daily to deliver a unique and unforgettable experience for all of you. Julio César is a boy who loves history and that reflects it in all the information he has about the site. Thank you for choosing Mexico Station to get to know Teotihuacan and we hope to see you very soon on another of our tours.

What a great trip. I did not read in detail when we booked (did it on my phone from Ixtapa), so did not realize the public transit portion of the tour. That said, am thrilled that it went that way. On the bus, we had the opportunity to talk with normal locals who wanted to practice their English. It was so much fun.
Back to the day. We met Julius Cesar at the meeting point and unlike our experience the night before with the same tour company, he was easy to spot in his pink shirt and umbrella. We took a local bus to the bus terminal and then a public coach (no bathroom) to the pyramids. Much like other wonders, the Pyramids are incredibly breathtaking in person. Our guide Julius Cesar is a young man finishing his university studies in Mexican history and is working on his thesis. His knowledge of the history of mexico is awesome. If you are able, please climb the two pyramids. It is a little tiring (250+ big steps plus the higher altitude), but well worth the effort, I can assure you. Not everyone is up for the climb, and Julius Cesar stays with those who can't/won't go up and offers a half hour tour of the rest of the site. My girlfriend really appreciated his knowledge and attention. The bus ride back was even more interesting than the one to the pyramids, inasmuch as there were a lot more locals going to Mexico City at midday thane there were going out to the town near the pyramids in the morning.
All in all, it was a highlight of our trip. It does take up a little more than half a day, but well worth it. We had four plus days in Mexico City, so were still able to see tons of galleries, museums, churches and local attractions.
My last piece of advice is to wear lots of sunscreen and a big hat. IN the event you don't have one, there are tons of vendors at the site who will sell you a big hat (not sure if is technically a sombrero, but certainly a wide-brimmed one) for a whopping 30 pesos.

This was an awesome tour and the guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about what he was doing (he had a degree in anthropology). The tour starts at 7 am and picks up people from another location in the city. But overall everything went as scheduled and on time.

The tour does include the fees for entering the site. This is my first experience visiting ancient pyramids. This site is pre-Aztec and it is remarkable what the people who lived there achieved. There are actually 2 big pyramids. The first one (called the Sun Pyramid) does require quite the climb. Ran out of breath couple of times and had to stop. But the view from the top is just spectacular. The second pyramid (Moon) is not so tall and you are allowed to go only half way up.

I would have given this tour a 5 star but for the stop they made after the site visit. It was supposed to be for lunch but it also was a sales event trying to get the tourist to buy liquor and trinkets. I wish tour companies would stop doing this. Anyway, overall a good educational trip.

Hello, thank you very much for your comment but it is important to mention that in our tour we do not visit souvenir shops or restaurants. The route with Estación México includes the visit to the 3 main temples of Teotihuacan (1 more than the other companies). We believe there is confusion, but we appreciate the comment. Regards

While in Mexico City we took two tours with Estacion Mexico. The free Mexico City Historical area walking tour and then the Teotihuacan tour.

The free walking tour in Mexico City was really amazing, our guide Javier was really great. He was super knowledgeable, speaks perfect English and was very proud and enthusiastic about his city and his country. He took us to the most interesting sites and gave us lots of tips for other places to visit, to eat and to drink. The fact that this tour is free is incredible! Obviously you can tip at the end which we did as it was more than worth it.

The following day we took the Teotihuacan tour for 600 pesos. We travelled there by public bus. There were some delays with the buses so it took a very long time to arrive, maybe there is a faster way and maybe less expensive way to visit Teotihuacan but after the free tour of Mexico City we didn't mind to pay for this one. Again Javier was super knowledgeable and enthusiastic and he really looks after everyone is his group.

I would highly recommend any tours from this company, especially the free ones to start with but guys please tip as it is worth it!

Our tour guide was great; I think his name was Ulysses. He made the experience really fun.

My negative rating comes from the fact that the city bus used to transport us broke down on the way back. First we were stuck in the hot bus waiting for them to fix it till we all gave up and filed off. For close to two hours on the side of the road in the hot sun the bus driver kept telling us a bus was coming "soon" to get us. Finally a group of 6 of us got together and walked to a nearby restaurant. The restarant cook who could speak english hired two cabs for us at a cost of $120.00 US to drive us back the rest of the way to Mexico City.

I enjoyed taking local transportation and learning how to ride the subway with a local on the way back after seeing the pyramids. This is probably the biggest difference from other tours, this tour uses public transportation. It was clean a d I actually felt safer than when using the metro back home in Houston.
This was a full day tour. Make sure you pack a hat, backpack, warm layer if it's cool in the morning, sunscreen and water. You can buy all the necessities along the way. I would recommend spending 30 pesos and buying a big hat upon entering the park. Otherwise you'll have sun in your face for 2-3 hours.
We climbed 3 pyramids and I learned a lot about the historical site. I would do it again.

Great tour, exactly as described. Our guide was very knowledgable and gave a lot of interesting history on the place. We climbed both pyramids and it’s quite the workout! Make sure you bring a lot of water. Bring a snack as there’s no time for lunch on the tour and you will be hungry. Only thing to point out is that on our return back to Mexico City, we ended up switching from bus partway to the underground train as traffic was congested. I think some people in the group was caught off guard by this and not very happy with the sudden change in arrangements.

We did this tour with Aldo who was extremely knowledgeable and made the tour fun! We met at Palacio de Bellas Artes and were a cosmopolitan group from different countries, We took a public bus to the bus depot and another public bus to Teotihuacan from there. We spent around 3 hours at the historical site where Aldo explained everything about that place and patiently answered all our questions. On our way back, we took a bus until the first metro stop, and then took a metro back to Zocalo!

I would definitiely recommend this tour (more so because there is not a whole lot of history written over there)

Incredible experience with Ulysses (Warryor) who took us through Mexico City to get to the bus station for Teotihuacan. We travelled like locals on the local bus and then the larger one - which we never would have been comfortable doing alone. It was a great way to see more of the city and to ask questions while viewing different neighborhoods. At the site Ulysses had a lot of information to share, all of which was highly digestible since he did such a good job with the story telling. He made sure we remembered and understood what he was saying since there was a lot of information and history there. He also took us to see one of the vendors that showed how people used to paint with things from nature. Overall very unique and great experience, highly recommend especially since the price is so great (especially with discount from taking the free walking tour with Estación). No vendors pushing you to buy things either which was nice.

This is my second trip to Teotihuacan. Having a guide gave me so much more appreciation for the site. Celeste, our guide, has a background in archaeology and provided a tremendous amount of information and was able to answer all of our questions in depth. I especially appreciated taking public transportation and being part of a small group. I never felt herded around. I can highly recommend this tour. Plan on bringing sunscreen, a hat, and some snacks or a lunch because you will be busy right through lunchtime. We met in front of Bella Sirtis at 8 AM and returned around 3:00 pm with no Restaurant stop. We were given plenty of time to eat the lunch we brought with us on top of the temple of the sun. We arrived early in the day before the crowds which I also really appreciated. I can’t say enough good things about this tour and our guide, Celeste.
