What to expect
  • After meeting your guide, your full-day tour begins at the National Museum of Anthropology, with 23 permanent exhibit halls showcasing traditional Mexican history and artifacts, including the Aztec Stone of the Sun. After seeing part of the permanent exhibit, you'll be driven along Reforma Avenue, where you can see monuments and sculptures that commemorate some of Mexico's most historical events. This includes ‘Diana the Huntress,’ ‘Angel of Independence’ and the ‘Column of the Bicentennial.’ As you approach the city's historic center, step inside the beautiful Palace of Fine Arts (Palacio de Bellas Artes), for a guided tour. Enjoy an inside look at the National Theater and learn about the incredible performances that have taken place there. Check out the one-of-a-kind curtain, made with nearly a million pieces of mosaic colored glass from Tiffany's in New York and weighs a whopping 27 tons. Then, walk by some of the busiest streets in the city's historic district and visit the Zocalo. Hear about the former seat of the Aztec empire, admire the Metropolitan Cathedral and stroll through downtown, passing by the National Palace. After this comprehensive day of sightseeing, enjoy transport back to the central meeting point.

Did not find tour operator
Jun 2018 • Friends
We arrived at the entrance to the museum to meet up with the tour group and did not see anyone. At 10 am we asked someone from the museum if they knew where we should go and were told the group already went in and that if we wanted to catch up we had to buy tickets for access. We bought the additional tickets but never ended up finding the tour group.

Misleading Tour
Dec 2017 • Family
I only chose this tour because of the "behind-the-scenes" guided tour of the Palacio de Bellas Artes. The tour said to "check-out" the Tiffany curtain. Not even a shade of the curtain was seen! The guide just showed us the front lobby of the theater and talked about the person who built the theater.. If you want to see the inside of the theater of the Palacio de Bellas Artes, do not come to this tour. The tour also stated it is a 9-hour tour. It is not. The tour guide was late for about 10 minutes. The tour started at a little past 10 am and ended at around 2:30 pm. We were not given even a snack break! I did not enjoy the tour at all.
