I highly recommend this tour. Our main guide, Emmanuel, he was excellent. He provided a vast and detailed history. He also eager to share Mesoamérica and Aztec history and spoke with passion. I love that the price for the tour was affordable ($40) and having guides that truly enjoy what they do made our trip a great experience. The other guide, Jaime, and our bus driver, Alberto were great too but extra kudos to Emmanuel. We first visited the Basílica de Guadalupe (masks are still required here), then we went to a obsidian workshop (this is where we had lunch too), then Teotihuacán (pyramid of the sun and pyramid of the moon), and lastly we visited Tlatelolco (very brief 10 min). During the obsidian workshop, we were provided with 5 tiny samples of various beverages made from the agave plant (pulque, tequila, mezcal, and 2 others). During lunch, there were 2 performances. Unlike other reviews, i didn’t feel like we were pressured to tip or buy anything (although we did). I wish we were able to walk around Tlatelolco like we did in Teotihuacán. I’m not sure if Tlatelolco was closed temporarily or permanently. As far as walking, we did about 12 k steps/ 5 miles by the end of the tour. I recommend visiting these places during a weekday and in the later part of the year to avoid the hot weather and congestion of people. I recommend bring snacks, water, sunglasses, and a hat.

An amazing trip worth every penny.
The tour guides Alberto and another lady who unfortunately i can not remember her name were very informative, friendly, funny and attentive, ensuring you had the best trip possible. They have no problem taking photos for you or even getting in for a selfie.
At each location you get a some time to explore by yourself and a time to meet back at the bus, you can also ask more questions during this time if you like.
Pick up point has tour guides looking out for their guests so dont worry about finding the group. "Big Blue Bus"
Guadalupe was amazingly beautiful and some very nice and "cheap" religious souvenirs.
The tequila tasting was very fun and informative and lunch was very nice and authentic with average prices and large portions and live acts for entertainment. "Lunch at your own expense". The gift shop at the tequila tasting was very expensive, i wish i had not of spent as much in the gift shop as you can buy the same if not similar machine made obsidian souvenirs across the road at the pyramids for a fraction of the price, don't be afraid to negotiate prices with sellers at the pyramids but with respect for their work. The start of the trip at the pyramids i was quoted Mx5000 for a obsidian sacrifice knife and towards the end of the day i bought one for Mx400 after bargaining.
I got some really nice souvenirs all at a negotiable price. All sellers accept bank cards and is safe to use.
It is a long day but you don't see it pass.
12/10 highly recommended.
Muchas Gracias Alberto e Amigo tours.

This is a full day tour and everything is arranged and taken care of. Extremely touristy around lunch and souvenir areas. Lunch was underwhelming, but the show and guitar player were very nice. The guides were very helpful. You can walk up one pyramid if you choose so, lots of artisans selling wares in the pyramid area. Most places take card, but recommend cash for smaller souvenir shopping around pyramids.

Unfortunately we didn’t really enjoy our tour. The day started off sour due to poor organisation. We were told to arrive at 8:50am to the meeting point, which we all did. The bus then didn’t leave until 9:30am, instead of the designated 9am time. The first stop seemed to drag on and could’ve been condensed into a shorter time.
We were then taken to a major tourist trap for way too long for tequila tasting etc. They said we would have 45mins at the place and after an hour we were all on the bus, but still had to wait an extra 15mins before departing. The prices at the venue are extremely inflated - a quick Google search will show the same souvenirs and alcohol for a fraction of the price.
Teotihuacan was interesting and the guide had some good information. Again, we were told to be at the bus at a specific time and still had to wait around.
We didn’t end up getting lunch until 3:30pm, way too late in the day. The food was alright but again, the tour guide gave us a time to be on the bus and she didn’t get on the bus until 15mins after that designated time.
Overall we probably wouldn’t recommend the tour and if we had the choice again we would choose a private tour.

Dear Navigate30329665201, we are very sorry you did not quite enjoy the tour, unfortunately once at the meeting point we have to organize people by tour and which bus each group goes, we try to be fast but sometimes is impossible, but thank you for letting us know the reason you did not like the tour, we will take your comments into consideration, we do suggest a private tour for next time so you can go on your own pace. The morning tour to Teotihuacán itself is good. The staff is friendly and they can answer all of your questions and I would really recommend it for just that.
BUT…the restaurant visit breaks the magic of the pyramids. It’s EXTREMELY touristic, the food is not great and you can’t talk to the other travelers because the entertainment performing for tips is so loud and lasts your whole lunch.
After an already very long day (I really expected this to be a tour to the pyramids and then return to CMX tour), you are then hauled to the ‘tequila factory’ behind the restaurant (which is nothing else than a souvenir shop really) to try out tequilas and then of course are urged to buy overpriced souvenirs at that same shop. It could be excellent without all of these unnecessary additions.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour to Teotihuacan, Tlatelolco and the Basilica de Santa Maria de Guadalupe with Amigo Tours!
While booking the tour, we found the information about pickup points a little confusing at first, but after completing the booking, the tour operator sent us helpful instructions about the various pickup points. The bus arrived on time at the designated location, and the vehicle was spacious and comfortable.
The tour was managed by two tour guides, Manuel and Jaime. Manuel was really wonderful! He got us started with a detailed itinerary for the day, then took us on a guided tour of the first two locations, Tlatelolco and the Basilica Shrine. He offered us a rich history of the Meso-American and Spanish eras in Mexico in an enjoyable and engaging style, interspersed with jokes and personal narratives that kept us glued to his every word. We were struck however by the fact that he didn't mention the famous massacre that took place in Tlatelolco in 1968.
After the Guadalupe Shrine, we headed to Teotihuacan. This phase of the tour was guided by Jaime. His style was more formal, but equally enjoyable and interesting. After arriving at Teotihuacan, we were treated to free tastings of a variety of pulques, mezcals and tequilas, one of which was so delicious that we had to buy a bottle afterwards! Afterwards, we got a chance to visit the gift shop, then taken to lunch at a unique restaurant that offered a variety of local dishes we hadn't encountered at other Mexican restaurants in the city.
After lunch, we finally visited the ruins at Teotihuacan. It was every bit as grandiose and splendid as it appears in the photos! We had about two hours available at the venue, including both a tour and 50 minutes to wander around. At first, we were worried that might not give us enough time to truly explore, but after a whole day of walking around in the sun, two hours was just the right amount of time.
Overall, we really enjoyed our tour! At ten and a half hours from door to door, it was definitely a bit strenuous, but well worth the energy for anyone who wants to explore the many wonders of Mexico City!

The tour guide was nice, but the tour itself was very boring. It was hard to follow the stories the tour guide was saying because all the information seemed sporadic and unplanned.
She kept walking fast, so it was hard to keep up. I ended up losing her at the beginning of the tour at Teotihuacán while taking photos. I spent 20 minutes looking for her but had no luck, so I had to wait 1.5 hours to meet up at the bus.
The place we were taken for lunch was bad. The food did not taste good, and performers kept coming up to us and asking for a tip.
The tequila tasting was nice. The presenter for that was very energetic and a great story teller. This was the only good part of the tour, and it only lasted 10-15 minutes out of the whole day. However, they made us shop at an overpriced store here before going to Teotihuacán. Once we got to Teotihuacán, we were able to find the same exact things that were sold in the overpriced store but for less than half the price.
Overall, I would not recommend the tour. It was not a good experience, and it seemed like tourists are part of a scam to be taken advantage of and overcharged.

What a great day! Liliana made the experience so much fun, gave detailed historical explanations for each site, and there was even room for questions and extra info. Each stop was given with plenty of time for group things and individual things. Would highly recommend to those looking for an all-day trip to many significant, highly-visited sites in Mexico City.

Emmanuel was a fantastic guide and had a vast amount of knowledge about all the sites visited. He also expressed great excitement about the history and the effects it has on modern Mexico. The tour was spaced appropriate to allow for exploration of each location. There is a good amount of walking, so I highly recommend comfortable walking shoes, hat, sunglasses and sunscreen. Also a bottle or two of water. Raoul was also a fantastic and safe driver that made the commute between all sites seamless and kept our belongings safe on the bus while we explored with Emmanuel. Muchas Gracias Emmanuel y Raoul!
