Overview
Visit historic Coyoacán and Xochimilco's floating gardens on a money-saving package that combines two tours of Mexico City in a single day. If you have limited time in Mexico City, this combination tour is a great way to make the most of your trip. Stroll cobblestone streets, visit a UNESCO-listed university campus, tour Frida Kahlo’s home and studio, and then board a traditional boat to ply the canals of Xochimilco.
What to Expect
Make your way to a meeting point in downtown Mexico City, then start exploring Coyoacán, whose cobblestone streets are lined with historic mansions. As you walk, the guide will share the pre-Hispanic background of the area, now a hot spot for Mexico City creatives.

Continue to the National Autonomous University of Mexico and walk through the UNESCO-listed campus, which includes murals by artists Diego Rivera and Juan O´Gorman. Pause for a lunch break (at your own expense) at Jardín Hidalgo, visit the Church of San Juan Bautista, and head to the Frida Kahlo Museum, or Coyoacán Casa Azul, where you’ll have an hour of free time.

After your tour of Coyoacán, head to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Xochimilco, whose tradition of floating islands dates to Aztec times. You’ll travel through the canals on a trajinera, a colorful, flat-bottom boat, with the option to purchase snacks from floating vendors. The tour concludes at the original departure point.

Coyoacan and Frida Kahlo Museum plus Xochimilco and National University

I believe that this tour is well overpriced. We spent hours & hours in the bus driving around Mexico City instead of spending more time at the sites. Specially in the morning the bus went around downtown looking for some paperwork at the main office....More

Selected Mexico City highlights in one day

Good value day tour if you have limited time in Mexico City. The highlights were the picturesque Coyoacán neighborhood and the Frida Kahlo museum. The Xochimilco boat tour was average. The whole day took nine and a half hours

Our guides version of english was incomprehensible. The english speakers could at best understand 50% of what he was saying. The tour was late. There was a demonstration at the Uni so didn't see it.....a good operator would keep an eye on issues such as...More

Bueno carino, nosotras hicimos ese recorrido solas, usando Uber y nos salio mas barato que usar tours, exeptuando Xochimilco. Estabamos localizada en la misma Colonia que tu!

Yes, the boat rentals @ Xochimilco were included, however, we each paid for our lunch separately.
