- kellypZ8437SU0 contributionsGreat trip to TequilaJose was an incredible tour guide with excellent knowledge of not only our tour of Tequila but Guadalajara as we drove through the city. I’d recommend this tour and guide to family and friends and we enjoyed the day 100%Written January 14, 2025
- Marknwt550 contributionsTequilaJesus was a wealth of information.Explained everything very well and we totally enjoyed our day with him .My wife is not a real tequila fan but she loved the tour as well .We will definitely call on him when we come back .Written January 8, 2025
- 581natalief0 contributionsAn Amazing Day and Guide! What an amazing day! Our guide, Jesus, was so friendly and informative. We started out the tour listening to him explain the different types of tequila processing, how to properly taste tequila, and a little about Guadalajara. Our first stop was at Fortaleza, one of the most beautiful properties with a very rich history and artisan distilling practices. Highly recommend! After that, Jesus took us to a larger tequila distillery, Tres Tono’s, which produces many more tequilas, under different labels, and much bigger distribution. Very interesting to see the difference between the two. We then visited the town of Tequila, had some delicious food, walked around a bit and talked more with Jesus about Mexican culture. We finished our night at Cantaritos el Guero, a crazy but quintessentially Tequila experience! We had such a wonderful day and we cannot recommend Jesus enough - he made it even more memorable!Written December 7, 2024
- alexaK8146KQ0 contributionsOnly way to experience Tequila without staying thereSuch an amazing experience! I can’t say enough about the entire tour. It’s the best option to experience Tequila without staying there.Written October 5, 2024
- mdolcetti70 contributionsBest tequila your everThe tour was absolutely amazing, me and my friend we had the best time. As bartender I visited many distilleries but this one was the best one so far, Citlali was fully knowledgeable and she answer all the questions with full informations. 100% recommend, you must tryWritten September 5, 2024
- FrankDownUnder0 contributionsViews of Endless Fields of Blue Agave and Tequila Tasting with an Excellent GuideThe rather long program shows the visitor two tequila distilleries: one that produces for international export and one that produces one of the highest quality tequilas in the world. Both included tequila tasting with an expert guide. The first distillery showcased the traditional way of tequila-making, while the second detailed the phases of quality tequila production. The walking involved was more than anticipated, and some of the distillery rooms had a very strong smell, but I guess this is part of the experience. A fantastic program overall. The visit to the town of Tequila had a surprise for us: we were lucky enough to see Voladores de Papantla (indigenous men flying around a pole)—an ancient ritual recognized as a UNESCO cultural heritage.Written July 29, 2024
- Jose B0 contributionsTequila Fortaleza tourThis was the best tour experience I have ever had! Our tour to Tequila was lead by Jesus Agustin and we couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide. He made sure we received the best experience. We got to go to the Don Valente distillery, which is a tequila that can only be found in Mexico. It is by far one of the best tequilas we have had. We ended up buying a few bottles to take back to the U.S. Also, the Fortaleza distillery was absolutely amazing. Upon entering I literally felt like I was entering Willy Wonkas Chocolate Factory, the experience is something I highly recommend to anyone that enjoys a good tequila, and Fortaleza is definitely one of the best. We also bought some bottles at their store - Just an FYI, they were only allowing one purchase of the Añejo per tour group and luckily we scored one. We also got to walk around the beautiful town of Tequila and eat some of the best food I have ever had…so much flavor! Also got to go to Los Cantaritos which is a MUST! Over all this tour was a 10/10! Highly recommend! Jesus Agustin was outstanding! Thank you again.Written July 3, 2024
- agomz0 contributionsExcellent TourWe were initially a little reluctant because there were not many reviews for this tour. But we booked anyway. And we are glad we did. Our guide was Jesus (named Jess here by a mistake made by the company). Jesus did a phenomenal job taking us around. He speaks excellent English and Spanish. We got picked up at our hotel on time and he spent the day with us. We made stops at 3 distilleries and two restaurants. This tour is private, so it will only be your party and your driver. You will run into other groups at the distilleries but the tour you book here is private. You still get the same attention at the distilleries as if you were on a non-private tour.Written June 27, 2024
- rdekoek0 contributionsDo not schedule on a MondayOur guide was very knowledgeable, especially regarding the history and architecture of Guadalajara. We did have some disappointments though. We did not realize that all of the buildings and museums would be closed because it was a Monday. We were unable to see any of the things in these parts of the tour and had to come back later for them on our own. We expected a 3 hour tour that included bottled water or soda/pop based on the website. It was about 1.5 hours and there was no water or soda. It was also difficult to find bathrooms because all of the buildings were closed. All in all, I am still glad we went, but I would not have scheduled on a Monday had I known this.Written February 15, 2024
- DaphBee0 contributionsBirthday Solo TripI booked my trip to GDL last minute for my birthday. To celebrate, I booked this charro excursion. The driver showed up right on time. We had a small group with was fantastic. It felt like a private tour. We rode horses. Did some roping, then learned about the proud/rich history of the charro. Afterwards, we watched a rodeo from the balcony. Our guide was Jorge Torres. He started the day by singing me happy birthday. He too is a charro. He’s also a singer and he treated us to some songs at the end. The day wrapped up in Tlaquepaque. I need to mention Mauricio. He was my guide for the day. He was the best!Written January 8, 2024
- frakl20230 contributionsAmazingAn exceptional experience from the start. The airport pickup for our group of 8 was incredibly convenient, eliminating the hassle of finding separate transportation. Definitely a service we appreciated and would recommend for a hassle-free start to our journey. Thanks for the efficiency and comfort!Written November 29, 2023
- frakl20230 contributionsArandas is so beautifulOur tour to Tequilera Ocho and Arandas was an incredible blend of tequila craftsmanship and the authentic essence of a Mexican town. The tequilera's guided tour enlightened us on the intricacies of tequila production, allowing us to appreciate the artistry behind each bottle. The tasting session was a highlight, featuring Tequila Ocho's distinct profiles that danced on our palates. Transitioning to Arandas, we found ourselves captivated by its quaint streets, local flavors, and the warm hospitality of its residents. (keep on mind that the tour is on spanish) For those seeking a day filled with tequila wisdom and cultural immersion, this tour is a must. A perfect escapade into the heart of Mexico's tequila culture, leaving you with lasting memories.Written November 29, 2023
- F260MCjosephr0 contributionsCantinas amazing tourWe went on a cantina tour, and it was fantastic. The cantinas were beautiful, and the beers were ice-cold. Exploring the historic city center in this way was truly enjoyable. The best part is that, after indulging, if you happen to have a bit too much to drink, the driver takes you back to your hotel. Highly recommended!Written August 23, 2023
- F260MCjosephr0 contributionsBest experience everLa Fortaleza is an incredibly impressive distillery. They give you a thorough and highly informative tour, showcasing every aspect of the process. There are numerous photo opportunities that you absolutely shouldn't miss. Additionally, they took us to Don Valente where the tequila was delicious, and we ended up buying a few bottles. The viewpoint offered breathtaking views, and the town of Tequila itself is a wonderful place to visit. I highly recommend taking this tour. The transportation was private, and our driver was exceptionally accommodating.Written August 23, 2023
