Wow what a joke, I’ll start off by saying this is the first time I have ever written a bad review as I think it is unfair to the businesses. We had a tour booked with Francisco, we chose to go with him based on reviews and paid a little more than other places we’re offering. Seemed legit.

We received a message at 9PM the night before the tour saying he is unable to do the tour because he didn’t have time to do his chores today and needs to go to the bank tomorrow?? He then said he had a friend who does a tour who has availability and can book us on. An hour later with no reply or any information about the other tour. Still no booking for anything. We wake up in the morning to a message saying he has refunded our money and that we need to contact the other tour guide. 8am on the day of the tour and we still can’t get in contact with either person.

We finally get a message back from the other tour that says they are fully booked? The whole reason we came to Guadalajara was to do a tequila tour and as today was our only chance, we are now leaving without having done one as every other tour don’t take bookings on the day.

It is blatantly obvious he cancelled the trip because there was only 4 people on the trip. Cancelling the tour the night before is one thing but to not communicate afterwards and leave us completely stranded is another thing.

There are about 50 other tours available in Guadalajara, choose any but this one.

Travel5 sorry you have that experience (in case is true), but i never heard about this problem before, but nothing related with the management of tripadvisor or viator, etc, has nothing to do with this experience.

Had the best experience with our tour guide Jose (pepe). He was extremely knowledgeable, made it a lot of fun, and never made us feel rushed. From start to end, the tour was great and would definitely recommend it to others. He also took great pictures of my boyfriend and I which was a great bonus!

I loved the tour! Very complete, Kim (sorry, I don't remember his name correctly), a great guy, the songs were super good and the food, not to mention, everything was excellent, thank you very much! I will be back! Only if I recommend that you give yourself another day to visit tequila separately because personally I want to do the José Cuervo museum tour, but I will return

In general, the tour was very good. We enjoyed the first stop at Tequila de Tres Mujeres, where we learned about how tequila is manufactured and we had a few tastes of different types of tequila. We also appreciated the stop at Amititan, where tequila originated. Our guide serenaded us with a song in front of a natural spring inside a nice home that has been made into a restaurant. I wish we skipped the third stop, where we waited for 1 hour listening to multiple banda bands playing on top of each other. It was like the war of the bands. We finally arrived at Tequila and had 1 hour to look around. Our meal took 45 minutes so we had 15 minutes to explore. Since visiting Tequila was the point of our tour, this was disappointing. For the future, I suggest that they drop the 3rd stop and spend 2 hours in Tequila.

I thoroughly enjoyed the day. Nothing was rushed and our guide,Kim, was amazing. He was attentive, well informed and genuinely cared about the quality of our experience. Très Mujeres produces a high quality Tequila well worth the reasonable cost. Learning about the production and origin of Tequila was informative. I would definitely take this excursion again.
    Many thanks to Kim.

Very complete your with lots to see, a lot of information on Tequila, lots of tastings and the guide Francisco was very nice and knowledgeable. The group is small (compared to other groups who can be 30 - 40 people) so I highly recommend and would rebook.
Just a thing to consider: the day is quite long (we left at 10 am and return would normally be around 7-7:30pm if no traffic) and you don't have lunch before 4-5pm

Booked this trip after a decent amount of research. Excellent value. Pepe was our guide. We left exactly on time. He did a great job getting us to four different spots over the course of the day and was knowledgeable at every location. He seamlessly downloaded knowledge at each location, both in English and Spanish, with a great sense of humor.

    Highly recommend!

This tour was fun and worth it. Francisco was our guide, he was very informative, answered our questions and made a good vibe for the tour, in Amatitan he introduced us to a boy learning to spin the charro lasso, or 'florear la reata' , and even taught us how to do it. Also our tour partners were amazing, a nice group. In Tres Mujeres distillery try to ask for Diana as guide, she will give you a nice conversation and good vibes. Ask as much as you want to Osvaldo at the Amatitan shop, he knows well about Casa Herradura distillery and tequila history all around. In the caves Jesus was our guide, a local kid, he does know how to make a tour around the place.
    Can't reccomend this tour enough.
Tip: take a nice breakfast as there will be lots of tequila.

My wife and I booked this tour and it was definitely a highlight of our trip.
Our tour guide Jorge picked us up in a very nice black Chevrolet suburban, he had a cooler with water and beer, and spoke English in Spanish.
When we arrived at Casa Del Oro which was a beautiful small distillery. We’ve been to others, and they have basically been a storefront, but this was the real deal.
Jorge was extremely knowledgeable and I’ve had quite a few tequilas in my life but I didn’t know if the proper procedure to taste tequila properly. The glasses are RIEDEL CRYSTAL glasses, (established 1756) has been producing glass in the heart of Europe for over 265 years and eleven generations.
JORGE was extremely knowledgeable and took us through the whole process and I never had tequila that tasted this good. The tequila tasting was down below in the cellar where the distilleries was operating.
We got to watch the employees work and produce tequila, It was such an incredible experience and we definitely recommended 100%. It’s a must do for anyone who wants to see how tequila is processed and how to properly taste the variety of tequila that they showcase. It was an amazing experience, including the lunch at a small town and a cocktail at another town on the way back home.
this is definitely a must do if you’re visiting Guadalajara.
