Get ready to admire picturesque streets, vibrant markets and colorful crafts in this fully-private tour (no groups! only you and your companions). After picking you up we will drive to Tonala, where we will visit a 5th-generation family-owned workshop to appreciate one of the most refined ceramic techniques in the world: barro petatillo. Then, we will visit the market, the church, and the town square of Tonala to experience the lifestyle of a traditional barrio. Afterwards we will drive to Tlaquepaque, where we will walk in a charming pedestrian street lined up with old mansions now turned into boutiques, museums and art galleries, home to a wide variety of goods such as textiles, blown glass, pottery, leather and more! Lastly we will taste the local cuisine while drinking refreshing tequila cocktails at Casa Luna, the most beautiful restaurant in Mexico. After our fully-immersive cultural experience you will gain a deeper understanding of Mexico's history and artistic culture.

Great walking tour of Guadalajara Centro with Diego
My wife and I took a downtown Guadalajara walking tour with Diego and I recommend him highly. Diego is very knowledgeable about his city and clearly enthusiastic about showing it to visitors. He took us to many of the highlights of the city center and recommended other places to visit later based on our personal interests. At the end of our morning we had had not only a learning experience, but four hours of enjoyable conversation.

Taking this tour will make your trip much more enjoyable!
We had a wonderful time on our food tour with Diego. The information we received was incredibly helpful for the rest of our time in Guadalajara. Diego answered all of our questions, helped us get tickets to a show at the Teatro Degollado, and gave us a lot of useful tips. I highly recommend you book this tour for one of the first few days on your trip. The information you gain will make the rest of the days much more enjoyable.

        Perfect tour!
Diego was fantastic! We booked his walking tour of Guadalajara and his Tonala & Tlaquepaque tours on consecutive days. He was very friendly, communicative, punctual, and very well prepared for each tour. His knowledge was fantastic and we learned so much from both tours. Diego is also such a pleasure to spend the day with. We could not be happier and highly recommend him!

Do it! You will be so happy you did!
Our tour with Diego was one of the highlights of Guadalajara.. Diego is extremely knowledgeable about the city, where he was raised. I went with my husband, Don, and we both enjoyed it so much. He was so easy to respond to our questions and had a wealth of knowledge. We covered so much ground and learned so much in just a short 3 1/2 hours. We especially appreciated going to the food market where we eat authentic food. Fortunately, we heard a large group of mariachis perform in front of the theater. Diego was so easy to talk with and had so much information. .Best spent money on our visit there! Do it! You will not be sorry!

        Wonderful guided tour with Diego
Our tour with Diego was one of the highlights to our trip to Mexico. Diego was knowledgeable about the city of Guadalajara, where he was raised. I really enjoyed seeing all the sites and learning the history that we would not have gotten to know about if we tried this on our own, especially appreciated going to the food market where local folks go and eating authentic food, ending the day at Tlaquepaque Village with the beautiful artisan shops and quaint little village was also a highlight. Diego was like visiting family so easy to talk with and ask questions. I think the per person price was very reasonable as well.

        Great Tour!
Diego is very considerate and knowledgeable about the local culture. He gave interesting anecdotes about the history of Guadalajara, and even took a detour to help us find an ATM and an electronics store. If you want to see the real Guadalajara I highly recommend this tour.

        Great experience--highly recommend!
Had a fantastic time with Diego. He is clearly very knowledeagble and his passion for the city clearly comes through the tour. It was a great mix of anecdotes, architecture, culture and history. We had small kids on our tour and he was super patient and kept it interesting and engaging for them as well. Great experience--would highly recommend.

        Guadalajara walking tour
I read all of the reviews prior to booking with Diego. He did not disappoint. He was very well versed on all the history of Guadalajara, and gave us an amazing tour. He also gave us time to explore when we visited the Cathedral and many of the churches. I would highly recommend talking this to her with a Diego!

I had an amazing time with Diego on this tour of Tonalá and Tlaquepaque - it was a fascinating look at two of Guadalajara's most interesting neighborhoods. We visited historical sites, markets, and galleries featuring beautiful artwork and crafts. Diego is great company 1-1 and super knowledgeable - I recommend the tour very highly. Excellent food along the way!

We were in Guadalajara for a few days and booked several tours. Two of our tours were with Diego Hannon. Diego has studied Mexican history extensively and is still in school expanding his knowledge.
Diego is a top notch tour guide. He met us at our Airbnb and we began our tour. First stop of the day was in Tonala, and Diego recommended a delicious restaurant as our first stop. Tonala is known for their world renowned pottery. We visited the Jose Bernabe studio and we were given given a private tour and demonstration by one of the Bernabe brothers. We also met an indigenous herbalist with extensive knowledge of medicinal plants. Our tour proceeded to Tlaquepaque, a beautiful city with lots of unique shops...Overall, our day was memorable and we would highly recommend this tour. We also recommend Diego Hannon as a tour guide.

I was traveling to Guadalajara alone for vacation. I researched a number of tour guides and experiences. Based on the reviews, I settled on Diego Cannon. As soon as I made the reservation, he reached out and thank me for purchasing tour. When I arrived in Guadalajara, my bags were lost. Diego went out of his way to help me get the essential toiletry items I needed while my bags were being found and delivered to the hotel. As for the tour itself, Diego was extremely nice and knowledgeable. He made the trip very lovely and went above and beyond to make my time in Guadalajara enjoyable and fascinating. Diego had connections in the towns of Tlaquepaque and Tonala, where I met famous artisans who explained and then demonstrated their craft. I highly recommend Diego Hannon for any person or family traveling to Guadalajara. He is one of the best

Diego offers a full service tour of two very charming, but different towns within the city limits of Guadalajara. Knowledgeable about the history of the area, but also with connection to high-end microbreweries and hole in the wall taco joints, he makes sure there’s something for everyone. The tour is personal and customized to your preferences, highly worthwhile!

Diego is an excellent tour guide and this was a fantastic way to get a taste of both Tonala and Tlaquepaque. We visited markets, tasted food, saw amazing ceramics in galleries, studios and museums, shopped for high quality locally made items and learned a lot about both communities. Highly recommend Diego and this tour.

We had a fantastic day on our private tour of Tonalá and Tlaquepaque with Diego, who was really a top-notch guide. Besides being especially accommodating and a super nice guy, he’s very well educated and has a deep knowledge of the entire area, including local history, as well as the history of Mexico and the world. We really appreciated this knowledge and enjoyed talking with him and learning all sorts of interesting details.

We were able to experience a variety of places that we would not have known about without our tour with Diego. Some of the artists and artwork he exposed us to were unique and unparalleled.

Our tour was in Spanish, but because Diego has lived or spent time in the U.S., Canada and New Zealand, his English language skills are excellent.

I really can’t offer any higher recommendation.
