About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- FrankDownUnder0 contributionsA Good Way to Explore a Massive Artisan Market and Street SculpturesWith this group tour, by bus, we first visited selected sites of Guadalajara before heading to Tonalá. We ended up with a group from the US, pretty much everyone was a Spanish speaker, but the guide switched between Spanish and English to accommodate everyone. In Tonalá, the street with sculptures was interesting. The highlights of the tour have been well chosen, and the free time both in Tonalá and Tlaquepaque was useful. In Tonalá, we walked through the biggest artisan market I have ever seen anywhere in the world. In Tlaquepaque, we had our photo taken with a man holding a tequila glass and wearing a professional face paint from a western comic, showing facial expressions at the level of a professional actor—some of the best shots we had during our stay in Mexico! We had a lunch in a restaurant with a live female band, fantastic decorations, and the hottest chilli.Written July 27, 2024
- 746jodia0 contributionsAn unforgettable experience! What an amazing day with a bunch of such lovely people. Ramon was amazing! He was so full of history of the area and was able to relay it English for me. Our driver needs an absolute medal for his incredible driving skills in the crazy streets of Guadalajara & Tlaquepaque. I was blown away by the quality of the tour. I was definitely moved by the experience of the cathedral and the incredible tongue in cheek artworks of Jose Orosko. The Talepaque Markets were nothing but incredible and so affordable. The Mariachi music was delightful. DO NOT MISS THIS TOUR!!Written May 25, 2024

- emmets0 contributionsExcellent half-day Guadalajara MTB tripFirst of all - the location is amazing. Beautiful mix of forest and arid meadows, stable climbs and flowing descents through water carved embankments and unique narrow (yet comfortable) chutes. The trails have been in place for years and the infrastructure makes for solid riding. Plenty of terrain covering blue to black (I stick to the blues). Great views as reward for climbing: More importantly, Luis is an excellent guide - super friendly, extra knowledgeable, and great at adapting to the right pace / challenge for those riding with him. Super professional, prompt, responsive and above all - a good person. I arranged my tour on short notice, the process was simple and the team was dedicated in communication to ensure everything was perfectly aligned. The set-up at Primavera is also quite nice with small coffee shops and breakfast places at the parking area - all housed in shipping containers - easy and accessible to loop back to between laps. It’s clear that there is a strong biking community here. A great highlight from a great trip to GuadalajaraWritten March 22, 2024
- Propertiesbeauty0 contributionsGuadalajara laid out before you!Efficient pick up from our hotel - saves all the trouble of trying to find the meeting point when you are new to a city! Ramon was a great guide and we did so much in the 6 hours it really made you feel you had learnt so much but at a good steady pace! Not rushed! Enjoyed all of it but especially Tlaquepaque- what a magical place! Thank you to Ramon and our driver. Maria & PaulWritten January 28, 2024
- brizaj20240 contributionsDon Ramon is the BEST tour guideWe had a wonderful time on the Tour to Tequila. Don Ramon was a wonderful, knowledgeable guide. He answered our questions and gave great recommendations for not only Tequila but the rest of our time in Jalisco. Highly recommend!Written January 23, 2024
- Hannah-the-Brave890 contributionsCool and Comprehensive! This was a wonderful, comprehensive tour of Downtown Guadalajara. I highly recommend doing this tour, especially if you only have limited time in the city. The traffic in Guadalajara is incredibly difficult to maneuver, and we felt very safe with our driver, who got us everywhere efficiently. It would be very difficult to try to go to all the sites they take you to on your own. **SPECIAL NOTE** Even though we visited in November, it was hot. There was also a lot of standing directly in the sun. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND bringing sunglass, a hat, and wearing high SPF sunscreen. The sun was very intense and this is coming from someone who lives in the AZ desert. Also, bring a snack and water.Written January 6, 2024
- K8241KXjacqueliner0 contributionsSuper friendly and knowledgeable! They were punctual picking us up from our hotel and the vehicle was very clean and comfortable. Our tour guide, Ramon, had a great personality and was very knowledgeable about the different sites we visited. We enjoyed the views and the tasty treats. We got the opportunity to have lunch at Tlatepaque and shop around.Written January 1, 2024
- dogoftroy0 contributionsGot a day? Go visit the Tequila Distilleries!Excellent tour… we were picked up at hotel at 9:40 am and back by 5:45 pm. Saturday’s traffic was light… the return during the week days could be a couple hours so be prepared. December’s weather was perfect. I can’t imagine during the heat of summer. The small distillery was less crowed than the Jose Cuervo plant in Tequila. We learned about all of the steps that it takes from Blue Agave plant to bottle. The large scale of the Cuervo facility was impressive. We got street tacos for lunch… a very full tummy for $6.25 and had plenty of time to walk around the plaza and shop for souvenirs. Small samples of tequila… no worries about over doing it. We added $10 per person as a tip to the driver and tour guide. I would recommend this company again.Written December 31, 2023

Extremely friendly and did everything to make our trip wonderful. We have an absolute blast learning about the tequila making process. All the places we stopped at were wonderful. The tour guide recommended a spot to eat at and it was great as well. The whole experience was amazing. We will definitely do it again when we are back in the area.Written November 8, 2023

The pyramids were fascinating, and a bonus was that we were there for the solar eclipse. When we visited the distillery, I thought our tour would be done by one of the employees. But no, Alejandro was our expert and guide, doing a superb job educating us on all things Tequila! Salute!Written October 15, 2023

Verinice was a charming guide. She answered all of our questions expertly. Gilberto was an amazing driver on the narrow streets of Ajijic. The personal attention and flexibility were great as well as the door to door transportation to Hotel Dalí.

I visited Lake Chapala & Ajijic on a Expedia Day Tour on Saturday December 29 2018.I was a bit disappointed that I was the only one that was going on The Tour that day as going with other people is always more fun but once I got there I felt the long drive was worth it.I felt that LC is almost like a combination of White Rock's Waterfront and the massive Lake Okanagan in B.C Canada. Both Ajijic and Lake Chapala maybe off the beaten path but i'm glad to have seen both places while staying in Guadalajara.

Filled with the bustle of a small city Chapala is a beautiful site on the shores of Mexicos largest lake , Lake Chapala . Sit lake side and watch the world go by , or rent a small craft & see the beauty from the lake . Such natural beauty so close to a big city , a must do !!

We recently took the Lake Chapala/Ajijic day tour and had a great time. Our guide, Antonio, arrived to pick us up wearing a broad smile and lots of enthusiasm. We drove to the lake where we ate breakfast at the town's excellent mercado. Throughout the day, we were able to learn about the area's history and cultural significance. Antonio made great recommendations about places to eat and shop. We definitely benefited from his local knowledge--we felt like we were touring with a good friend and not a sterile packaged tour.

This excursion included a visit to the ranch of Vincente Fernandez. Unfortunately there was only a Spanish speaking guide at the ranch. The driver/guide for the day was a pleasant man; however had both Spanish & English clients & the responsibility for driving so there was limited narrative & information. Lunch at Ajijic was very enjoyable.

This was a last minute trip, but I am glad we did it. We were picked up at our hotel in a mini bus. Just 8 of us. Visited the largest cowboy store in Mexico. Huge stock. A tequila factory, which was u fortunately all in Spanish, but we were able to go through the manufacturing process, see the storage barrels and taste about a dozen different tequilas. Then we drove to a restaurant close to Jocotopec right on the lake. Excellent seafood and a 15 minute boat trip thrown in. Wandered around the variety of stalls in Chapala and were picked up again for the trip home. A good day. Thank you

Our guide was pretty awesome! The reason I am not giving our tour a 5 star is because we felt we were rushed, amongst the false advertising that our trip included. Our booking included a visit to the Vicente Fernandez Ranch, and we were only able to take a picture at the gate of the ranch. Why advertise something that all you can do is see it from the outside? I was extremely excited to see the ranch, and when our guide told us we couldn’t go in I was really upset over it. Chapala was great! It was beautiful. Our tour also included a visit to Ajijic and all we saw from Ajijic was a restaurant where we ate. It was a great restaurant, but we wanted to explore the town not just eat there.

Our tour guide is very knowledgeable about the local history and culture. He presented very nice. We like the lunch place and visit of the old station. We wish we could stay there longer. The only thing could be improved is that we visitors may not be interested in seeing the special area built for the U.S. retired people.
