About the operator

- FrankDownUnder0 contributionsA Good Way to Explore a Massive Artisan Market and Street SculpturesWith this group tour, by bus, we first visited selected sites of Guadalajara before heading to Tonalá. We ended up with a group from the US, pretty much everyone was a Spanish speaker, but the guide switched between Spanish and English to accommodate everyone. In Tonalá, the street with sculptures was interesting. The highlights of the tour have been well chosen, and the free time both in Tonalá and Tlaquepaque was useful. In Tonalá, we walked through the biggest artisan market I have ever seen anywhere in the world. In Tlaquepaque, we had our photo taken with a man holding a tequila glass and wearing a professional face paint from a western comic, showing facial expressions at the level of a professional actor—some of the best shots we had during our stay in Mexico! We had a lunch in a restaurant with a live female band, fantastic decorations, and the hottest chilli.Written July 27, 2024
- 746jodia0 contributionsAn unforgettable experience! What an amazing day with a bunch of such lovely people. Ramon was amazing! He was so full of history of the area and was able to relay it English for me. Our driver needs an absolute medal for his incredible driving skills in the crazy streets of Guadalajara & Tlaquepaque. I was blown away by the quality of the tour. I was definitely moved by the experience of the cathedral and the incredible tongue in cheek artworks of Jose Orosko. The Talepaque Markets were nothing but incredible and so affordable. The Mariachi music was delightful. DO NOT MISS THIS TOUR!!Written May 25, 2024

- emmets0 contributionsExcellent half-day Guadalajara MTB tripFirst of all - the location is amazing. Beautiful mix of forest and arid meadows, stable climbs and flowing descents through water carved embankments and unique narrow (yet comfortable) chutes. The trails have been in place for years and the infrastructure makes for solid riding. Plenty of terrain covering blue to black (I stick to the blues). Great views as reward for climbing: More importantly, Luis is an excellent guide - super friendly, extra knowledgeable, and great at adapting to the right pace / challenge for those riding with him. Super professional, prompt, responsive and above all - a good person. I arranged my tour on short notice, the process was simple and the team was dedicated in communication to ensure everything was perfectly aligned. The set-up at Primavera is also quite nice with small coffee shops and breakfast places at the parking area - all housed in shipping containers - easy and accessible to loop back to between laps. It’s clear that there is a strong biking community here. A great highlight from a great trip to GuadalajaraWritten March 22, 2024
- Propertiesbeauty0 contributionsGuadalajara laid out before you!Efficient pick up from our hotel - saves all the trouble of trying to find the meeting point when you are new to a city! Ramon was a great guide and we did so much in the 6 hours it really made you feel you had learnt so much but at a good steady pace! Not rushed! Enjoyed all of it but especially Tlaquepaque- what a magical place! Thank you to Ramon and our driver. Maria & PaulWritten January 28, 2024
- Hannah-the-Brave890 contributionsCool and Comprehensive! This was a wonderful, comprehensive tour of Downtown Guadalajara. I highly recommend doing this tour, especially if you only have limited time in the city. The traffic in Guadalajara is incredibly difficult to maneuver, and we felt very safe with our driver, who got us everywhere efficiently. It would be very difficult to try to go to all the sites they take you to on your own. **SPECIAL NOTE** Even though we visited in November, it was hot. There was also a lot of standing directly in the sun. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND bringing sunglass, a hat, and wearing high SPF sunscreen. The sun was very intense and this is coming from someone who lives in the AZ desert. Also, bring a snack and water.Written January 6, 2024

Our tour guide, Ramon, had a great personality and was very knowledgeable about the different sites we visited. We enjoyed the views and the tasty treats. We got the opportunity to have lunch at Tlatepaque and shop around.Written January 1, 2024

- aliqueb20230 contributionsGreat tour to understand Guadalajara's history and cultureThis was a very organized tour and I highly recommend it. My favorite part was looking at Orozco's paintings. It was also really fun going to Tlaquepaque. It is a good tour to learn bits and pieces of the city without diving too deep into one area.Written July 21, 2023

- GCrackr0 contributionsFantasticExcellent tour. Was picked up at our hotel at the agreed upon time and taken to the tour company offices. Had to wait a bit at the offices but they have coffee, beverages, etc. for customers. Turns out there was no one else booked on our tour so we had the guide all to ourselves. Our guide was informative & knowledgeable. Since there was no one else on the tour, he adjusted the sites we saw/time spent at each site to fit our desires. First up was a few stand-alone architectural sites—drive by or stop for a quick look. Then on to downtown—walking tour of several sites and the main town square(s). Our tour was on a Saturday and so the area was busy with people and included some street performers. Much to see here and learned a lot about the history of Guadalajara. On to Tlaquepaque. We were given the allotted two hours on our own, along with general overview of the areas to shop and suggestions for lunch. Much more to see here than expected. Quite a large area—multiple blocks long and several wide. Many street performers. Back to our hotel right on time. The tour description perfectly matched the actual tour. Note for potential travelers: If you are really into artisan stuff—painting, pottery sculptures, etc. there is a LOT to see and this tour may not quite have enough time for you in Tlaquepaque---Consider a Tlaquepaque only tour. We could have easily spent a leisurely 4 hours ThereWritten May 29, 2023
- BigVmed0 contributionsLots of history in GuadalajaraHad an awesome time learning history of Guadalajara. Hernand our tour guide was super knowledgeable of all the sites shown. Super nice and accommodating tour guide. The tour overall felt more like a transport to Tequila with a nice stop at a agave farm. The distillery José Cuerva actually offers a super interesting tasting. We thought it was part of the tour package. But what they advertise as “tasting” are actually the 5 shots included in the normal tour of the distillery. That was a bit of false advertising of the tour company. We ended up paying extra for the real tasting which was the best part of our trip and which we cannot recommend highly enough. All in all I would say the organized tour is ok, but just a bit pricey for what is actually offered.

Excellent tour… we were picked up at hotel at 9:40 am and back by 5:45 pm. Saturday’s traffic was light… the return during the week days could be a couple hours so be prepared. December’s weather was perfect. I can’t imagine during the heat of summer.
The small distillery was less crowed than the Jose Cuervo plant in Tequila. We learned about all of the steps that it takes from Blue Agave plant to bottle. The large scale of the Cuervo facility was impressive.
We got street tacos for lunch… a very full tummy for $6.25 and had plenty of time to walk around the plaza and shop for souvenirs.
Small samples of tequila… no worries about over doing it. We added $10 per person as a tip to the driver and tour guide. I would recommend this company again.

I was with two friends and we all enjoyed this day so much. It turned out to be so much more than just a tour of a couple tequila distilleries. Our guide was Alejandro. He is multi-lingual, very informative and a little entertaining! You will enjoy your day. The small town own Tequila itself is something to see and experience. The beautiful terrain in that area is spectacular as well. Have a wonderful trip as we did!

Very disappointed.
We booked a private tour for eight people and were to be picked up at our hotel at 9am as per instructions in our confirmation email from Luis. However the guide and van did not arrive until 10am; we were left waiting for an hour. The guide had no explanation or apology and it was a very poor start to the day.
Hernan, our guide was knowledgable and pleasant, but due to our late start we could not spend as much time in Tequila as we would have hoped. There was also no water provided on the van.
Since then, I have had no reply to my emails, indeed not any apology or explanation from Luis for the poor service.

A great experience. The town of Tequila is charming and the Jose Cuervo tequila factory is equally so in its grounds and public areas. The tour of the factory was led by a very knowledgeable guide and we learned a lot about the process from the field to the bottle. And, of course, there was time for tasting - and there is a particular way to do that - all explained by the factory guide. Also learned that, just like champagne cannot be called champagne if it does not come from that region of France, tequila cannot be labeled tequila unless it is from this area.
There was adequate time to tour the central area of Tequila, have a nice lunch, and explore a bit. Well worth the trip.

Ramon was a very relaxed and knowlegable guide and provided some tour options given the small group size. The first distillery felt more authentic, less tourist orientated but both were good. Tequila town centre is pretty and worth visiting.

The drive to Tequila was not bad at all for a Monday. I was the only one in the tour so that was nice. We started out visiting the agave fields where I met Ismael who is a celebrity in his own right. He’s been with the family over 30 years. Then we went to the actual distillery where we learned how to appreciate tequila and learned the history of Jose Cuervo. There we met the raven named Jose, he was so cute he kept trying to bring us his bowl to give him more food! Everyone was so knowledgeable and inviting.
