      Great accidental find!
Memo was awesome! We tagged along on his old city walking tour by accident, and he covered a lot of the city's history and pointed out a good number of hidden gems. We will definitely be trying one of his other tours in the future.

      Truly locals spots
Fantastic taco tour of the truly locals taco spots. Nothing fusion about these tacos - good clean authentic tacos. I loved how we ended the night with popsicles!

      Silent Malecón Statue Tour
Memo was a spectacular guide for the Silent Malecón Statue Tour. Loved the ability to listen to Memo describe all of the various statues, their titles, their artists and the stories about each. With the headphones we were able to walk around viewing the statues in their entirety, take various pictures or sit in the shade without losing Memo’s wonderful stories or standing near enough to hear him. What a marvelous experience! If you’re in Puerto Vallarta and want an enjoyable couple of hours hearing all about the Malecón Statues, contact Vallarta101. You won’t regret it! I heard from many in the tour to take all of Memo’s tours. He’s that good!

      Silent Malecon Statue Tour
The tour of the Malecon statues was well presented, informative and the guide (Memo) was very personable. They are now offering a silent tour using headphones that receive the guide's presentation thru a microphone. You hear just the guide, no interference from other tourists talking. You can wonder freely looking at the art (or the view) while listening to your guide and your not straining to hear. I loved it! Their professionalism will have me using them for all their tours.

      Taco Tour a Culinary Delight
What an amazing culinary tour. Lalo, our tour guide, created a fun filled informative atmosphere that allowed us to explore and experience the best of tacos in Puerto Vallarta. An easy two hour + tour on foot brought us to exceptional taco shops ending with a tasty treat of hand crafted ice cream. Lalo is engaging and delicious informative host who made us feel right at home. This is a must for people wanting to explore PV.

      Great walking tour
We did 2 tours with Memo as our guide. The seafood tour was a great experience. We went to local places and tried the local food, which was delicious. It was fun, entertaining and we loved the food. We also did the breakfast tour, with Memo as our guide and it happened to be his birthday. Thank you Memo for a great breakfast and also the wonderful walking and climbing tour of the City. We went to places that we never would have found without our guide. We will definitely try his other tours on our next vacation.

My heart and tummy were full!
We had the privilege to be paired with Memo as our guide. He was such a great guide as he talked to us about the culture and the history of not just tacos, but also the city. He introduced us to the owners of the family run stands and restaurants, and the places he selected did not disappoint at all. I would do this tour again in a heartbeat and any other tour Memo has to offer. Highly recommend.

Such a great experience. Thanks to Memo and Vallarta 101 for a wonderful time. It was a small group, and Memo is such a likeable fellow. We learned a lot! Would definitely book another experience with Memo.

      Fabulous Walking Tour of Centro!
We thoroughly enjoyed our informative breakfast walking tour with Memo a few weeks ago! The Mexican restaurant that he took us to for breakfast was excellent, we went back for lunch the following week! Memo shared a good mix of info on the culture and history of Puerto Vallarta! He pointed out things that we probably would have missed had we wandered around Centro on our own! We highly recommend this tour!

      Absolutely a requirement
We first did a tour with Vallarta101 in 2018. We had such a great time, we signed up immediately for another. When we came back this year, another tour with Memo was the first thing we signed up for! And then again, had such a great time that we did one again the next day! What's great is that you can get as little or as much as you want at each stop since you're paying the restaurant itself. I've done other food tours here and you're so full but you've already paid for everything so you feel the need to eat everything. You will definitely be full after a tour with Memo but it's such a better experience. He tells the you best things to order at each place and gives recommendations for other places to go. Other food tours take you to very touristy places, but Memo takes you to amazing places you might not have noticed on your own. I highly recommend doing this as soon as you arrive so you have the lay of the land and maybe make a vacation buddy from the group. The seafood tour is one of my favorite things I've done in the city. Thank you, Memo and I'll definitely see you next time!!

      Delicious!
Our guide Memo was great!! We had tacos at 3 different local spots and it was great to get some authentic flavors and to hear his recommendations. Tacos Pastor were OH SO good! And we ended the tour with a delicious local ice cream shop as well for dessert.

      Memo had us stuffed!
So enjoyed our morning walking taco tour with Memo. I love how he knows the hot spots around town (which the locals frequent). These are places I would never dare try on my own (often no menus). Memo let us have as much food and drink as we wanted at each stop so in addition to tacos we had Pepsi and Jamaica. We were absolutely STUFFED. He's not kidding when he says to come hungry. He made me try a fish taco so I did to be a good sport (ONE BITE). Memo has amazing English and is running a sweet little small business. Our tour was small with just three people and he was flexible and chatty. Highly recommend for a local taste of Vallarta.

Excellent taco tour- don’t miss it!
Tacos 201 was a highlight of our vacation! We came with two families, four teens and four adults. All of us loved the delicious tacos that Memo introduced us to, and had a great time learning more about PV’s neighborhoods and where and when to eat traditional local tacos. Memo is a great tour guide and kept all of us engaged and enjoying the tour. Highly recommend!

Please do this tour! Great tacos that I would have never found or tried on my own. Memo is such a great, informative guide and you will learn SOOOO MUCH about the food and culture in PV. I had my three teens with me the first time and they enjoyed themselves as well. I had such a good time that I returned a month later with my partner & we did the Taco102. You pay for all you eat/drink and tip your guide a fair amount at the end. Such an amazing value and an unforgettable experience. We met some great fellow tourists as well. I will definitely be back for Taco103!

We had such a fun afternoon exploring and immersing ourselves in the taco history and culture in PV. Memo was the consummate tour guide, providing the history of each taco establishment as well as recommendations of what to eat and then how to eat it. As a Texan I thought I knew my way around a taco, but without giving away any big tour spoilers, let's just say that Memo gently schooled us and we are the better for taking this tour! :) If you are a fellow foodie, don't hesitate - do this tour! We wish we would have had time to do some of the other tours offered by Vallarta101, they will be top on the list for next time we travel to the PV area.

The taco tour was a highlight of our trip. We had no idea about the whole process including all the different kinds of tacos and how some are served certain times of the day and why the taco stands all open at differnt hours. Quite an amazing intro to all that is good in street food. The following days we felt really comfortable ordering on our own throughout the city. On our last night we ate at Mariscos Cisneros because the day time tacos there were so good. We enjoyed the best burrito filled with seafood and a seared tuna with veggies that was excellent. On our way back to our hotel we stopped at the churro stand by the church for something sweet to finish off our last night. We would never have gone to either place if not for the taco tour. Thank you Memo !!

We had such a wonderful afternoon with Memo learning about local specialties and favorite places to eat. Teenage boys and their moms enjoyed a fun outing together where we tried all sorts of amazing stuff! Street stands and locals family restaurants were on tap with some of the most best tasting food any of us have ever had! Memo was great about educating us on the different areas of Puerto Vallarta plus much about the culture and vibe. We were stuffed by the end but didn't want it to end. We will be back for Taco 201 and Taco 301 and Taco 401 . . . you get the point. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to an adventure in town!

Memo guided us through small backstreets to find the best tacos of their type. First stop was for carne asada, the second was birrio, the third carnitas, finally a seafood taco place that everyone raved about. Memo gave us information about the area as we walked, a detailed breakdown of the tacos and the many and varied salsa & toppings and really ensured that we were well looked after. I would highly recommend this tour. And Memo. He is a star.

Loved this tour! I took a similar food tour with Memo years ago, so when I had an out of town visitor I booked this tour and hoped it would be as good. We were not disappointed! Memo is very professional, knowledgeable and makes the tour fun! A good variety of tacos, and many locations that I hadn’t previously tried even after many years of coming to Vallarta. Would definitely recommend m especially if you are not familiar with the area and are wondering which places to try!

Memo was absolutely terrific, and the Taco 101 tour very memorable. Memo was energetic, ready for every question (food, culture, history...), very accomidating, and delightful company. He has certainly done his homework. My wife, who is a foodie and has a food blog, said it was the highlight of our vacation and is ready for an advanced taco degree. We have 4 young kids and two teenagers in our family group of 10 (youngest 3yo to 20) and everyone loved the tour. Memo really has put together a tour that any family will really enjoy.

Memo's taco tour was one of the biggest highlights of our trip to Puerto Vallarta. We learned that different kinds of tacos are served throughout the day and some restaurants/stands are only open for certain hours each day based on the kinds of tacos they specialize in. He took us to places we never would've found on our own and the tacos were so delicious!

We can't wait to go back to PV and take his 102 course on our next trip.

Tip: pace yourself so you can try lots of different kinds of tacos!
