Our Tour Guide, Adan - the teacher, was outstanding. We learned about Mexican history as well as the local area of San Sebastian. We enjoyed hearing stories from the Mexican Revolution and how the residents of San Sebastian played a role in helping to fund it. He was creative in his story telling, often asking for a volunteer from our group who "became" part of the story. We learned who Sebastian was and why he became a saint.
Adan's sense of humor added to the fun of the excursion.
Our driver, Alejandro was a great driver, stayed focused on the road and got us where we needed to be. He was helpful to all climbing in and out of the van.

What a great guide Adam was. As a former tour guide in San Diego, California, I have a different perspective. Adam was top notch keeping us on our toes, engaging each person, using humor, teaching us history in a most enjoyable way with his "Personal laptop". He is an effective story-teller and jokester as well. A tour is just a tour without the knowledge of the guide. Adam was able to bring San Sebastian to life for us. I, personally, was impressed with his knowledge of the coffee process, where he again, was able to engage each of us individually as well as a group. I would recommend this tour (and will in my travel blog)!

First of all our driver, Alfredo was excellent. He got us up and down that mountain and around several rockslides with confidence and safety at all times.
Second, Miguel was an amazing tour guide. He taught us about his country, Mexico and it’s history not always pretty but it was honest an unbiased. He answered all of our questions. And communicated clearly in both English and Spanish. He was patient with those of us who attempted to speak Spanish to him and return and it was greatly appreciated. On a personal note as an American of European Spanish dissent I’m always cautious when people began talking about the atrocities of the Spaniards in the New World. Suffice to say not all of my experiences have been kind. I appreciated Miguel’s honesty and delicacy when discussing the Spaniards.
This was not my first trip to San Sebastian and after this tour it will not be my last I enjoyed every moment of it.

Miguel was a friendly and extremely knowledgeable tour guide with a very good balance of speaking and quiet. He shared in depth historical background and current events in an interesting manor. Lunch was served in a small local restaurant and was delicious. San Sebastian is a very interesting town with a lot of fascinating history. Miquel's English is excellent and he seemed to truly care about his clients, his region and his people. Jorge, the driver, was excellent and patient. We would definitely go on another tour with the pair.

San Sebastián del Oeste is a beautiful town with history and charm, lots of picture-taking opportunities. The tour guide, Miguel, was very knowledgeable. There were other tour groups going through the same areas much more quickly so it seemed that they were getting less information with cursory explanations. The lunch was delicious although there was no time to linger to enjoy an alcoholic beverage. The website states that bottled water will be provided but there was none offered (good thing we brought our own) and there will be a visit to the jail and civic centre (saw from the outside). The pamphlet states that there will be a visit to a chocolate factory (there was not). The driver was helpful. Overall, we enjoyed the trip. However, it was stressed that the town has had some changes over the years that have been less than desirable for the residents yet, the tour busses make their way down the narrow cobbled stoned streets - would more respectful and authentic if the busses parked in a central location and tours just made their way on foot. Wear good walking shoes!

Thoroughly enjoyed my trip to San Sebastian. The village is very charming and the ride through the mountains was lovely. Our driver Sergio did a great job and our guide Miguel is a lovely individual full of a ton of interesting knowledge and history. Well worth the day. Lunch was excellent and plentiful.

We booked this tour from our hotel, Crown Paradise Golden, as they did 10 am morning pick up Upon leaving we transferred to a larger coach bus. Miguel is very much an expert on Mexican history, and helped pass the time . It is a two hour ride to the first stop which is the San Sebastian Tequila gallery, for samples and bathroom stop .20 minutes later we were in SAN Sebastian. Three hours of touring the town and enjoying one of the best Mexican lunch experiences in Mexico, back on the bus and arrived back at our hotel about 6:30. Thanks for a wonderful experience

I am rating 3 stars because we were in a bis with over 30 people which made everything slower. Pick up at hotel was on time but we waited 45 minutes at the transfer point. Tour guide Adam gave a lot of history on the way there which helped kill time on the 1 hr 45 minute trip. San Sebastian Teqiluolawas excellent and it is always nice to supporr the locals. La Quinta Coffee was also delicious, as was lunch. Please note we left our hotel at 930 and did not eat lunch until 215pm, which was a long time without food so bring a snack. We spent about 1.5 hours walking in town. Lots of history but with 600 people in the town, there isnt a lot of shopping which disappointed some people. Drive back had no "entertainment", so bring a neck pillow and headphones to take a nap.

Our tour of San Sebastian de Oeste was very memorable and informative. The transport was comfortable and the tour guide was very knowledgeable about the area and shared his knowledge with those who were interested, both in English and Spanish, The side visits to the San Sebastian Tequila market was enjoyable and informative. I would take another tour with this group when I return to PV/ Jalisco.
