About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 233meganz0 contributionsGreat experience with friendly, professional, and knowledgeable guide! We had an awesome time! Lots of time to snorkel and relax at the secluded beach! They worked with us in getting a more convenient pick up location, which was nice! We had a super knowledgeable and friendly guide, who also made great guacamole. We would definitely recommend this tour!Written July 6, 2024
- cyc9280 contributionsBook La Vida BellaLa Vida Bella was the perfect boat for our group or 7. It was a smooth and beautiful ride from the Marina to Los Arcos. Unfortunately, due to global warming, the water was rougher, murkier, and colder than usual at this time of year so snorkeling was not the best. Fernando and Fernando were great and made some delicious guacamole.Written March 29, 2024
- Cole C0 contributionsAmazing!Amazing! Our hosts were great, and it was a great price for a private boat. We even saw dolphins and whales! 5 stars overall, I think they could add more goggles and swimming fins.Written January 15, 2024
- F4965RXruthg0 contributionsAwesome snorkeling for a great priceThis is an awesome private group snorkeling trip for a great price! The snorkeling was fabulous at Los Arcos. So many fish! The hosts are great and weren’t in a hurry for us to leave.Written September 8, 2023
- Ranjit C0 contributionsWorth trying out!Excellent. Particularly impressed by the way the crew showed us the ropes and kept tabs on all six of us while snorkeling at Los Arcos, and helped out where needed. A memorable experience.Written August 10, 2023
- Flyer7855240 contributionsVery Very pleased with this charter. Great crew and boat. Guacamole and drinks were great! Caught a tuna & Amber Jack.Wow! Great staff and Boat! Caught a couple of fish too. ( Tuna and Amberjack ) Smooth day and really enjoyed the whole experience!Written August 3, 2023
- ljschumack0 contributionsGreat Fishing Guide.Great Fishing Guide, sure did not disappoint. Fast trip out to the fishing area sand a nice ride back to the dock in front of the resorts.Written August 2, 2023
- 665abet0 contributionsWonderful private trip with excellent guides.Wonderful trip. Our guides were very kind and informative. They explained about the history of los arcos, Bahia de Banderas and all of the fish and animals. We would definitely book again.Written July 23, 2023
- EBGrimsley0 contributionsTop notch experience- best way to take a family/group snorkelingWe went with 5 people that included 2 young adults, a teenage and us parents. What made this a top-notch experience? Here are the bullet points: +We arrived early, and our crew was ready to take us out. +Equipment (snorkels, life vests, swim mask and fins) were in great shape and fit everyone. +Our crew answered our many questions about PV, what is swimming in the water, etc. +Drinks were immediately offered as soon as we got onboard. +The boat was clean, really clean and very comfortable. There is a canopy that covers the whole boat so there is always shade. The front of the boat has cushions that are about the size of two (2) twin beds so there is an area to lay down. +One of our crew members joined us in the water to show us the best areas and how to avoid the crowds (and yes, those bigger boats show up but only stay 15 minutes) +Guacamole and chips were ready and waiting after we finished snorkeling (about 1.5 hours, which is plenty of time) +The ride back included bottomless margaritas (well made!) and 80's music, something everyone enjoyed. I did LOTS of price shopping and for a family of 5, the price can't be beat.Written July 8, 2023
- I3407TWjenniferm0 contributionsFun Day OutWe were visiting for the day from our cruise ship. Fernando & Mixton created a great outing for our group of 6. We enjoyed touring the Puerto Vallarta shoreline, learning a little history about the area, snorkeling in Los Arcos (we even got to see a sea turtle), and relaxing for a few hours on a quiet beach. Thanks for a great day out! Highly recommendWritten July 3, 2023
- 175chadg0 contributionsFantastic Private Snorkeling TourVery attentive to questions and needs. Clean boat and spoke very good English. Snorkeling by Los Arcos was amazing!Written June 24, 2023
- ShannaM3920 contributionsThis is the best way to snorkel in PVFernando and Mixon are great! The tour was smooth. Mixon guided us in the water to best sights and away from the large crowds. He also makes an excellent bowl of guacamole.Written June 24, 2023
- TammyF3690 contributionsGreat Day on the WaterFernando and Mitzon were fantastic from meeting us at the dock to our goodbye. Their boat is open air, but the large covering allowed us coverage from the intense sun. They set-up the fishing lines and gave great instructions. We hooked something right away, but it broke free with the line at the boat. It was clear they were using all of their knowledge to find the best spots. The hospitality was fantastic. They gave us space but checked in to ensure we had what we needed in drinks and made us fantasti, fresh guacamole. We had great conversation, and it is clear their pride for Puerto Vallarta is strong. We had a fantasy day on the water. We would all recommend and use them again for a cruise, fishing, or excursion.Written June 23, 2023
- Katherine M0 contributionsBoat tourFernando and Mixon did a wonderful job showing us around the shoreline. We got some good snorkeling in and had a fabulous lunch at Las Animas. There were not many people on the beach when we first got there. The service at the restaurant was great!Written June 14, 2023
- 444arlenej0 contributionsAmazing personal boat and snorkeling tour with a very friendly and attentive 2 man crew. The Captain and his crew mate Mixon were terrific and had a lot of local history and knowledge to share. After a fun hour of snorkeling we were treated to some cold & delicious guacamole and chips and all the drinks you want. A very fun few hours was had by all.Written May 28, 2023

If you're looking for the best private boat charter in Vallarta, you have certainly found it! Fernando and his son were fantastic hosts for our adventure south of Vallarta. Booking via their website was prompt and efficient. Ashley was a pleasure to work with, she was so accommodating with our beer and snack preferences and requests! There were only 4 of us on this trip, but the boat had plenty of space for several more. The boat was clean, comfy, and well equipped. 10/10, I am sending all my friends to La Vida Bella.
Our trip began with Fernando picking us up at Los Muertos pier. He was on time, and ready to go as soon as we arrived. The cruise down to Yelapa was wonderful! With a few shots of Tequila in our system, we arrived to the beautiful picturesque Playa Yelapa. After a beautiful lunch on the beach, Fernando toured us through the town and up to the waterfall.
After Yelapa, we cruised over to Playa Majahuitas and snorkeled in the area. We saw a wide range of fish and I even saw a beautiful spotted stingray.
The final stop of the day was Playa Las Animas. There we sat on the beach, had a light snack, and enjoyed the ocean and light music from the locals.
I mentioned the gracious flexibility of Fernando on this trip. We initially thought 6 hours would be sufficient, but we ended up nearly 9 hours on the boat because we were having so much fun that we didn't want to leave.
Do yourself a favor and book with La Vida Bella... You will forever remember this amazing adventure!

I will validate what so many have already said. This is an amazing tour and Fernando is one of the most hospitable people I've met and a terrific host. We stopped for a quick snorkel on the way to Yelapa and had lunch on the beach after the waterfall. Amazing!!! We never felt rushed to move. Lunch service took extra long due to crowds but since we were on our own boat, there was no hurry. We will be back to do it again!
Thank you!!!
Thank you!!!

Fernando was awesome and the trip was fun, the boat ride amazing and Yelepa is beautiful.
The only thing that annoyed me was the horse ride that we booked. The little kid who led the horses kept asking me for money all the way up to the waterfall. I gave him a tip at the waterfall and then he kept asking me for money all the way back down so I tipped him again at the end of the horse ride. For this reason I would not recommend the horse ride to the waterfall but that has nothing to do with Fernando or his tour. He was amazing and his tour is awesome. Don't hesitate to book it.

This was our 3rd trip with Fernando and it did not disappoint. It is always the highlight of our trip. The past 2 times we have actually been staying in Sayulita and drive all the way back to the marina in Puerto Vallarta just to go on his tour. His little touches like the homemade margaritas and guacamole help make the trip extra special. He is a wonderful host. We really enjoyed his tour of Yelapa and hunting down the best coconut pie!

Best. Tour. Ever In Puerto Vallarta. I have taken many tours over the years. This year, with the pandemic, I wanted to be safe and still take my guests to Yelapa. We decided on a private tour. I contacted several companies and Ashley replied immediately. She answered all my questions and offered me an excellent price for her 6 hour private tour. We had the boat to ourselves along with captain Fernando and his mate Fernando! They made us comfortable, fed us, served drinks, played great music, and stopped for the all important whale viewing. Fernando has quite an eye for sighting playful whales.
Once in Yelapa, they made sure our transfer from boat to beach was swift and DRY!. They walked with us up to the falls, literally carrying my 90-year-old mother
when the climb became too much for her. They were so good to her and to us.
They have an agreement with Domingo's restaurant where the food and drink is excellent. I do not think you can go wrong with any restaurant on the beach really. But I will never book anyone but La Vida Belle Tours. Thank you Ashley, y Fernando, y Fernando!

Fernando and his crew mate (Fernando) provided an outstanding tour for our family. Our 4 kids absolutely loved their time on the Yelapa excursion. We also did the South Shore Excursion with Fernando and that too was excellent. From the moment we got onto the boat Fernando catered to our every needs including unlimited drinks and fun. Fernando is very nice and informative of Puerto Vallarta and the tour destinations. After one of our tours my wife misplaced her cell phone. We called Fernando and he went back to his boat and searched for the phone. We can't say thank you enough for not only offering such a fantastic tour but also for being so nice. Leaving him was like leaving a family member. Yelapa is such a beautiful village that is only accessible by boat. Experiencing such an authentic Mexican village, where the residents live the ways of the past, was a once in a life time experience. The food their was delicious and the beach was outstanding

I researched a lot of options and read several reviews but definitely made the right decision!
Fernando and Bobby were outstanding, accommodating, informational and so much fun! We took 4 adults and 5 teenagers. Although they came fully stocked with margaritas, we opted for the homemade lemonade and it was delicious. We saw and swam in two private beaches, snorkeled, fed fish, visited the small village of Yelapa (even had a rain the night before and saw the waterfall). We had a great day! It’s a full day but SO worth it.

Very disorganized. We left 40 minutes late. Breakfast was cold and tasteless scrambled eggs with chips. The snorkeling was fine. We arrived in Yelapa and had to wait for the folks who were paying for extra ATV or horseback rides to disembark. On the surface, that seems reasonable but, by the time we got to the beach there were no more umbrellas and chairs available. We were told to go have lunch. Not a great option, since we just had breakfast. But then we were told lunch would be another wait. We ended up sitting in the resteraunt . It felt like because we didn't pay for extra excursions we were abandoned. Finally, lunch. It was drab, really. On the ride back the entertainment was very loud through horribly cracked speakers. . The reviewcrew and some of the passengers engaged in mimicking explicit perverted sexual acts. I wont describe this. It was outrageous and children were there. On the way home we discovered the tequila was watered down. I know this is a horrible. It fits the day.

I'm sorry to hear you had a frustrating experience. You have the wrong tour company as this review doesn't fit our profile. Sounds like this was not a private tour and was a booze cruise tour. We do not serve breakfast. We are a private boat and never have to wait for other people upon arrival to Yelapa. If the guests choose to have lunch on the beach, we have a reservation ready at the restaurant. The captain and deckhand are a father son team, they would never engage in perverted sexual acts. Please be careful and make sure you write the review to the correct company.
