    Great trip!
Such a great choice for our family of four. We knew we didn't want a big 8 hour long booze cruise with 100 people. It was fantastic to go out with just the four of us and our super knowledgeable helpful guide! (I'm terrible at names... I want to say it was Christina? But that doesn't sound right.) She helped us navigate where to snorkel safely, see great things, and stay away from crowds when other boats came. There are definitely some currents so you'll want to be a good swimmer or at least let her know what your swimming level is so she can make the experience good for you. I loved that we got to go through the arches! and the water was clear and we could see to the bottom easily. It's not crystal blue Caribbean water, but it was still beautiful. The boat was comfortable and had shade. We got a nice sightseeing trip on the way back and got to see a lot of sights from the water and learn about the area. It was really fun! 100% would recommend.

    Magical dolphin encounter!!!
Thalia was incredible!! She knows the pods so well and dozens of the dolphins have names. They recognize her boat motor and her whistle. She was beyond respectful of them. No chasing. No feeding. Just truly “asking” if they wanted to play and come meet us. She passed some dolphins because it was clear they didn’t want to see us. Then others she said “jump in! They want to play!” And sure enough they would come close to check us out and circle us and swim trying to get us to copy them. It was magical. Thalia clearly cares about the animals and respects them tremendously. I would never ever do a dolphin encounter with dolphins in captivity. It’s torture for them (truly). In this setting WE were THEIR entertainment and not the other way around. 6 stars if I could!!

    Great Experience
This was one of the best snorkeling tours my family has been on. It was great having Thalia (marine biologist) on to answer all questions about Los Arcos and marine life. The snorkeling was not rushed at all. She was absolutely wonderful with our daughter which made for a great trip.

    Overrated at Los Arcos
The food and drink on the boat and beach was abysmal and I am not fussy! More importantly Los Arcos is beautiful, not enough time to just float and enjoy. Very few fish / coral and too many boats on the upside beach is gorgeous and people very welcoming. Rather than advertise as a snorkeling adventures and have disappointed customers, might be better to focus on scenery, the boat trip and experience of a different beach (and turn the music down on the boat - way too loud so unpleasant

    Touring PV
We had a wonderful tour of Puerto Vallarta that included a butterfly sanctuary situated on 3 acres . About a 5 hour tour with the butterfly sanctuary taking 1 hour. We even had a chance to release butterflies that were about 3hrs old. You will have to go to hear the legend of releasing butterflies! We opted for a city tour that took us to areas away from the tourist areas. We had a wonderful guide, Vicho, who was full of knowledge about Mexico, the history, current events, and shared a Iove for his own neighbourhood. Lunch was included at a lovely little restaurant we would never have found on our own. I wish I remembered the name so I could give it a plug but I don't. Would definitely us Vallarta Natours again and would love to spend more time with Vicho.

Best Whale Watching at Puerto Vallarta
Whale watching at the finest level with a legit marine biologist! Fantastic educational and delightful tour of the Bay of Banderas at Puerto Vallarta. Felt the respect that Thalia, her brother and the team have for these amazing creatures as well as their caring for clients on board. Small group, not a crowded boat, makes this a much better personal experience. Dream come true for me. Fabulous time and will try their other marine tours when whale watching season is over. 🌺💕

    Whales, turtles and more!
If I could give 10 stars I would! Thalia’s knowledge and love for the bay and all that surrounds it is clear. Can’t even count the number of whales we saw! All well within the safety guidelines for her clients and most importantly the wildlife who make the bay their home. Will return each time we return to PV. Trust your trip to the best!

    Incredible tour!
Thalia, the owner and our guide was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. She explained the habits of whales and we were able to see many whales displaying these habits. Thalia and the captain, Angel, were experts at finding the whales and were diligent in their efforts to ensure that we followed the whales in a manner that did not cause them distress. The tour itself was incredible and the best part was when we saw a momma whale teaching her baby whale how to breach! What a great experience for our family and we had a very nice lunch with snacks on our way back to the marina. We have been on several whale watching tours on our trips to Puerto Vallarta, but this was by far the best tour ever.

    Magical dolphin encounter
We spent a magical half day swimming with dolphins and watching whales. Thalia was so knowledgeable and made sure the best interests of the animals always came first. This experience was a highlight of our time in Puerto Vallarta. I can't recommend it more highly!

    Best whale watching tour!
Vallarta Natours is the best! This was my second time going whale watching with Thalia. She is so informative and respects the whales and the ocean. I took my caught and her partner for the morning excursion and it was great. Saw many whales and also stopped so we could hear them calling each other under water. It’s a magical experience and I highly recommend them.

    Best whale watching experience
Best tour ever, crew was amazing and our guide Thalia, a marine biologist, was amazing in not just showing us whales but explaining their behaviour, what we were actually seeing and the boat was just small enough to be what I consider human size with minimal impacts to the whales. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants to see the humpbacks in Bahía de Banderas.

    Amazing whale watching experience
Wow! Best day. Six of us took the whale watching tour with Victor and Angel. We were treated to an amazing afternoon - first a Mum and baby and then a pod of 10 whales. We followed them for miles as they fluke slapped, breached and tussled over a female companion. Victor has amazing knowledge and was a great host. Angel guided our boat with skilled. Highly recommend Vallarta Natures.

    Wonderful Dolphin Experience!
If you want to experience swimming in the open ocean with wild dolphins, this is the tour to book! Thalia and Ángel are both delightful guides, fun to talk to, very knowledgeable, and respectful towards the dolphins. At one point there was a mother dolphin with her calves surfacing in the distance. Thalia could tell by the sounds the mother was making that she didn’t want to be disturbed, so we kept our distance and found another pod that was willing to come to us. A little while later a boat from another tour company chased down the mother and calves and everyone jumped in the water (of course the mother immediately left with her calves). It’s sad that most tour guides don’t know any better. Several times we noticed that the other tour boats were following us; they know that the best way to find dolphins is to follow Thalia. :) Thalia is a marine biologist and knows the various dolphin pods in the bay, and where they are likely to be. The dolphins recognize Thalia’s and Ángel’s calls and come to them - sometimes… they ARE wild dolphins after all! We were fortunate enough to swim near a few different pods, and one of the dolphins surfaced only a few feet in front of us! It was an amazing experience to be that close and even more wonderful to know they chose to swim with us. This was something my wife and I have been wanting to do for years, and we’re so glad we chose Vallarta Natours! Thank you, Thalia and Ángel, for helping fulfil a dream!

To say this trip was amazing does not do it justice; spectacular, incredible, far beyond what we could have imagined! Thalia, our tour guide is a marine biologist who has an enormous respect and love for these animals. She is a book of knowledge when it comes to whales, dolphins & other sea animals. Captain Angel always made sure he kept a safe distance from the whales so we wouldn’t interfere with their lives yet close enough to where we could see battle wounds on the males from when they fight; we even got to see one of the whale that is called Gonzo like the Sesame Street character. This trip was a birthday present for my wife & it being towards the end of the season i was worried we may only get to see 2 or 3 at the most which itself would have been worth it but thanks to Thalia’s keen eye & Angel’s outstanding driving we ended up finding 25 whales! White about an hour to go we found a school of dolphins which Angel said we’re 502 (I counted 503) in total. They got so close to us that you could have reaches down and touched them! At one point they actually had surrounded the boat and were told that they had included us into there pod! As a bonus we got to see a manta ray jumó out of the water right on the side of the boat! I forgot to mention at one we had stopped near some whales an Thalia had dropped a microphone in the water and we listen to 2 or 3 whales singing; now I’m not one to get emotional over things, might seem cold hearted to some but people I had tears in my eyes, a big smile on my face and was all giddy like a little boy meeting their sports hero as I listening to these whale sing to each other for about 10 minutes. At double the price the experience would have been well worth it. Finally, my thanks and gratitude to Thalia & Angel who make this experience for my wife the best birthday present ever ( even better that when met Donny Osmond in person; you young folks might have to look that one up). One last thing; Angel thank you for a great boat ride, I easily get seasick (did watching Titanic) but in spite of this I never had a problem. DO NOT go with any other whale watching tour; there is no one better than Natours!

We booked the Whale Watching tour online several weeks before our trip to Puerto Vallarta. The process was easy and hassle free. We received an email confirming our reservation and payment as well as instructions on where to meet and what to expect. We started the tour on time. Thalia, our guide is a marine biologist. She shared information about the Humpbacks and answered all our questions. We saw lots of whales and dolphins during our four hour tour on Banderas Bay. Captain Angel operated the boat safely. He made sure we had a good view of the whales while maintaining a safe distance to avoid disturbing the whales. There were 10 people in our tour. The boat was big enough that we did not feel cramped for space. A great tour company! Highly recommend Vallarta Natours.

This whale watching tour was amazing and everything I had hoped it would be when I booked. I had searched for hours to find the most eco friendly tour that respected the whales, and after being on the tour, I believe this is it. While we saw some other boats get too close to the whales, our boat always kept the appropriate distance and even backed up when the whales came closer to us. Victor, our guide, and Angel, the captain, were both knowledgeable, friendly, and found three separate groups of whales during our 3.5 hour tour. We saw 5 males showing off/competing for a female, and a mom and baby - the baby played in front of us for about 15 mins! Wow. Lunch and the hibiscus drink were yummy and they accommodated my vegetarian request. At the end of the tour, Victor said he would email me some photos and video that he took during the tour - I’m so excited to see them! I highly recommend this tour. Thanks!

This week we doubled up and took 2 whale watching tours with Thalia. This was our 4th and 5th trip and they keep getting better!
As always, we enjoy getting out on the bay and getting the chance to see these remarkable animals. I appreciate that we have this great opprotunity but it is done respectfully with the animals welfare as a priority.
The first day I believe we saw about 17-18 whales, challenge groups, moms with babies. Great day
the second day I think Thalia was a bit disappointed but we had our best day ever! we saw 2 breaches right next to the boat, we were able to get over a male whale singing and even without putting the microphone in the water we could hear him so clearly. I just don't have the words for how amazing that was. We had dolphins right by us, sea turtles, stingrays jumping, gulls soaring along with the boat, right over head.

I do believe it was Thalia's daughter that brought us some luck that day. She's absolutely adorable and I hope you bring her along with us next year!!

Listen, if you have any desire to see whales or marine life in Puerto Vallarta, you need to book this tour.

Thalia (and her captain Angel) are masterful guides. They have a deep respect and reverence for the whales and their environment, and deeply understand every aspect of the whales’ behavior. No question went unanswered.

Thalia had an uncanny ability to spot where the whales were headed, explain what they were doing (whether it was a baby humpback playing or a male “escort” trying to show off to a potential mate).

At one point, Angel, the captain, slowed the boat to match the pace of the whales - so we could move in tandem with the pod. We got to see about four flukes breach at once.

On our way back toward the mainland, Thalia spotted a family of dolphins and started making dolphin sounds to attract them to the boat (it worked! One of the dolphins, which she said was named “Buba,” popped out of the water to say hi).

Seriously, do not hesitate to book this tour. Especially when there seem to be so many shoddy tour operators who show zero respect for the whales and are simply trying to make a buck. As a marine biologist, Thalia brings an expertise that uplifts the whole experience. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to support true pros who have dedicated themselves to environmental stewardship and protection of local marine life. I loved every second.

I would highly recommend this tour. The guide and the captain were knowledgeable and very friendly. We found a number of whales that we were able to observe. They followed the local rules kept a respectable distance from the whales but sufficiently close to allow for some great pictures. Our ship had experienced an engine problem and changed the order of port calls and the company was wonderful in handling the last minute change. It was a great day for all of us and I would heartily recommend.

Our guide Tallie was an expert describing behaviors of whales which provided an experience never to be forgotten! We were able to see hundreds of dolphins, several whales! It was the highlight of our visit to Puerto Villarta. Highly recommend this. Part of the proceeds of our trip go to research she is conducting on the health and well being of whales who migrate in this area.

Our guide, Thalia, was amazing! She was looking out in the bay and could see the pod of whales from afar. We were like "what? where?" Her eagle eye allowed us to see something none of us will ever see again and that was a pod of whales (7 males and 1 female) courting the only female. Every 10 minutes or so the whales were coming up to get air and then heading back into the depths of the bay to slam their 40 ton selves into each other as a courting ritual for the female. It was one of the coolest things I have ever seen! Lunch was simple and yummy and the staff was fantastic. Plus, Thalia took some amazing pictures and shared them with the group. This tour company does it right! Thanks for the incredible experience!! We would definitely use this tour company again!

Thalia's knowledge of the marine life and the Bay made the experience top notch! I reserached several options and landed on VallartaNatours because of the more intimate experience they offered. Just 9 guests this day on a smaller boat which allowed us to cross the bay and visit many different pods. Thalia and Angel were exceptionally knowledgable, gracious and most important very eco friendly. Details like only spending 30 minutes with each pod so we didn't disturb them too much, keeping proper distancing and my favorite, when too many other boats approached we moved on. The Whales happyness was most important to this tour.

Going to Puerto Vallarta in December 2022, I knew I wanted to see migrating whales, something that was on my bucket list. I was connected to Vallarta Natours through two degrees of tour-guide separation. I love to follow referrals as it makes our world a bit smaller. Thalia reached out to me via whatsapp and after a few back and forth messages, our trip for two was booked! Thalia was friendly and speedy with her responses. I knew I had made the right decision, even before my plane took off.

Once we arrived at the dock we were greeted with her enthusiasm and professionalism. There were 6 guests on our trip, with a maximum of 10. So there were opportunities to see whales from all places on board. Angel was our captain, Thalia was our guide. She's a marine biologist who had answers for all my sciency questions - she recognized the pods of dolphins we encountered, could spot whales on the wavy ocean surface with no effort and she could explain the ocean processes too. Not only was this trip full of photos and videos, we learned a lot about whale and dolphin behaviour! Angelo and Thalia's synchronicity was apparent as soon as the boat's motors started and together they made this trip amazing, seamless and memorable. Thank you!
