This was such an amazing experience. Thalia is so incredibly knowledgeable about the marine life below the boat and was so kind to entertain my every question. The tour was personable and intimate. I felt safe the entire time. Angel is a great boat driver/captain and the ride was smooth and comfortable. It was a gorgeous day, we saw tons of whales and dolphins! I couldn’t recommend this team more. I had so much fun and learned a lot. Gracias Thalia and Angel!

Our whale watching tour with Thalia (and Captain Angel) was truly the experience of a lifetime! I lost count of the number of whales we saw - the competition pods!!!! From the beginning, Thalia’s passion for marine life made this adventure, both thrilling and educational. Our captain expertly guided us through the beautiful waters of Puerto Vallarta ensuring we had the best possible chance to see whales up close! And wow, did they deliver!!! We saw multiple humpback whales that morning. Thalia shared fascinating insides about their behavior, making the experience even more meaningful their respect for the animals and commitment to responsible wildlife viewing was evident throughout the trip. We had 10 people plus our guides. The boat was comfortable and had a bathroom. This was truly a once in a lifetime opportunity and a must do while visiting Puerto Vallarta!

What a great experience. We have been coming to Puerto Vallarta for many years and finally booked a whale watching tour. It was very informative and fun. We learned a lot from Thalia on board and saw many whales including one breaching right in front of the boat. Will definitely book another tour next time we visit.

My husband and I enjoyed a fabulous whale watching tour lead by Thalia. The whales put on a great show for us….magnificent creatures! Thalia was a great guide and educator. Our captain was fantastic, lunch was delicious and the boat was very comfortable. We will definitely book another tour in the future!

Our guide was very knowledgeable about the whales and their babies, location in the bay, freely answered our questions and was very enthusiastic about the whales and their habitat.

After reading through various Social Media platforms and TripAdvisor we chose Natour Whale Watching Tours. What a fantastic experience! We had a departure time of 1:30 pm, arriving 15 minutes early. We were greeting by Carlos our guide and Angel, the boat captain. As we left the marina, Carlos gave us an informed presentation of what we might see during our tour. Complete with laminated pages of images of the species of Whales and marine life of the bay. Angel, navigated the boat to an area then scanned the water for possible spouts of water. Quickly we all spotted a pod of whales and for the next three hours we saw many whales. Spouting, arching up, flukes and a couple of breaches! A light lunch was provided and while we were sitting floating, Carlos placed a “microphone” underwater to listen to whale songs, magic! On our way back to the marina we were greeted by a pod of dolphins playing in the wake of our boat. I HIGHLY recommend Natour Whale Watching Tours to all!

My husband and I were thrilled with our whale watching tour with Thalia and Angel! It was very informative as well as enjoyable. It was clear that every effort was made to assure that we would have the best possible experience with the wildlife while, very importantly, respecting the rules that minimize interference with the animals. The boat is very comfortable and Thalia and Angel treated us with great respect and care. The Bay of Banderas is a very special place and we couldn’t have chosen a better outfit to introduce us to its wonders. We saw many whales, including interesting behavior that Thalia explained to us, as well as a large pod of bottlenose dolphins, a swimming sea turtle and boobies flying along with the boat. We’ve been on whale watching tours in many other areas of the world and have never seen so many whales during one boat ride.

We were in the middle of a pod of humpback whales within 30 minutes of leaving the marina. It was awesome - Angel moved us from pod to pod and Carlos provided a lot of information about the whales we were seeing

Superb experience! Beautiful, comfortable boat, very easy on/off. Captain Angel and naturalist, Carlos, were outstanding. Very informative, engaging. Near constant action. Been whale watching before, but this was a cut above. Highly recommend the private tour; I saw and learned much more! Cost was worth a lifetime experience.

Awesome afternoon on Bahia Banderas!! Very comfortable boat, built for whale watching. Superb captain and naturalist (Angel and Carlos). Very easy boarding. These guys REALLY know their stuff. I’ve been on other whale watching tours and this was the very BEST. VERY fun and informative - almost constant action. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and worth it.

6 of us family members booked a Private Whale watching tour on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. We had high hopes of seeing a few whales. Thalia, the company owner of Vallarta NATours, who also designed the boat and her great captain, Angel, gave us the most exciting, wonderful time that exceeded anything we could have imagined. Thalia, a marine biologist, is so knowledgeable and with Angel knew exactly where to take us. Thalia explained the pods, the sexes of the whales in the pods and their various behaviours. We heard and saw their blowing, their breaching and the beautiful markings on their flukes. The highlight was when one large male came over to our boat, breached right beside us, went under the boat, turned around and repeated the performance coming from the other side. Thank you Thalia for your friendliness, knowledge and wonderful experience as well as the great homemade sandwiches, drinks and snacks. Angel also played a tape taken a couple of days earlier of the male’s song. Thalia explained the components as well as the reasons and different whale songs. We saw about 25 of these amazing creatures. 5 plus stars all the way. Don’t hesitate to book one of the great Vallarta NATours.

We opted to have a private whale watching tour with Vallarta Natours. This means that we had the entire boat to ourselves, and it was an incredible choice. Thalia and Angel were amazing. Thalia was extremely knowledgeable about whales and provided us an incredible amount of great information regarding our tour. We saw dozens of whales and got as close as we could without infringing on the whales’ domain. We even saw two whales do complete breaches out of the water. Don’t make the mistake of passing up on this opportunity to see a bucket list item of your lifetime. Just go and enjoy, and trust me… it’s well worth it!!!

Vallarta Natours is absolutely the best tour for whale watching. Thalia and Captain Angel are the best at finding the whales and respecting their space. They pull close enough to be able to see the whales but do not invade their space which gives optimum viewing for the experience. I have been with them for a number of years and they continually find the best viewing and experiences. My most recent was unbelievable with breaching, close up viewing and an incredible day on the water. Highly recommend if you want information, experience and a great tour!!
