When you decide to book this tour you need to know it will be all day long and a lot of it spent in a vehicle. With that caveat out of the way the tour is amazing! Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and provided us many opportunities to stop and explore the small towns and culture. The main destination is of course the Aztec ruins, but we really enjoyed experiencing the towns and interacting with locals with translation help from our guide! Incredible experience!

Jorge Novoa made this trip amazing and unforgettable. He was so knowledgeable about so many things, a true renaissance man, that the five hour drive there and back was a pleasure. He made sure we had many stops at places he knew intimately. He made sure if he didn't know an answer to one of our questions, he found someone who did. Everywhere we went he made sure we were comfortable and he happily indulged my interest in plant identification with his extensive knowledge of local fauna. He even stopped the van so we could harvest a bit of sap from a rubber tree. From our experience with Jorge as our guide, I am happy to recommend this tour, and any tour by this company. They make you feel special while they seem to genuinely celebrate the beautiful place they live. Gracias and mahalo Jorge!

This is a long drive winding through the mountains. It took us 14 hours even though our guide rushed us through the sites. The guide did not have any preplanned stop for lunch and we eventually did find an open restaurant. There were no snacks or water. Breakfast was a quesa dia with coffee and fruit juice at a roadside shack. Nothing special, nothing wrong with it. We were picked up at 7:45 and got back to our hotel by 1030PM. This could have been a very interesting trip had the guide been more knowledgeable but in our case he was mostly a driver. A nice guy.
