About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Masha720 contributionsGreat tourThe tour was very good. Our guide, Omar, was very knowledgable. Him and the driver both were super nice. We visited few shops, nice tequila places and of course the mountain town. The town was very unique. I recommend this tour. Note that they don’t ship tequila to the States so if you want some bring check in bag. The tequila they sell in these family places is amazing (and I am not tequila drinker even)Written September 4, 2024
- zpardiwa0 contributionsLush greenBeautiful quaint town. Perfect for a day trip guided tour. We visited a local coffee factory, tequila tasting and had a sumptuous traditional Mexican lunch. Great day spent away from main city and hot weather !Written August 4, 2024
- H5469RAjenniferk0 contributionsLovely day at the Botanical GardenWe enjoyed this tour, but felt like it was a little disorganized. We had conflicting information about our pick up location. The voucher said it was picking us up in one place, a follow up email had a different location, and we had a hard time getting clarification over the phone. Once we were on the tour, it was good. We stopped at a roadside stand for a coffee tasting. I realize this is more of a sales opportunity than a tasting, but I enjoyed it and don't mind getting to support the locals. At the Garden, I would have liked to have a little bit of time to wander on our own. Our guide, Omar was knowledgeable and friendly, but I felt the need to stick with the group and there seemed to be a lot more of the garden to walk through. I especially enjoyed the history of the region that he provided on the van ride. It is clear that he loves that area and enjoys sharing it with others.Written July 14, 2024

- MichaelinPV0 contributionsDon't forget to visit Yerbabuena while you're in Mascota!La Yerbabuena is a charming, colonial village a 10 minutes drive from the main plaza of Mascota which is the main town of the municipality. Yerbabuena is the first stop along a route that takes you to about 5 colonial villages through the backroads of rural Jalisco. Yerbabuena is known as the "Beverly Hills" of the area for its large homes and wealthy weekenders from Guadalajara. The little main plaza features a central garden with the traditional bandstand surrounded by colorful gardens, lovely colonial buildings and the obligatory old church. There are 2 lagoons, one right off the little plaza that still has the "lavadero," the area where women would do the family washing back in the day. Follow the boardwalk along the lagoon up to the larger lake, just a 5 minute walk. This larger lake has a public boardwalk all around it, a lovely shady area with huge trees, and a gazebo with beautiful views of the lake and mountain backdrop. The town also features an energy "vortex" or as the locals call it, a centro de energía. For a small, voluntary donation you can experience this unique and peaceful place which has been cleverly blended with traditional Catholic faith articles so as not to offend traditional rural customs. There are 2 little restaurants in town, generally only open on weekends, and a couple of small local convenience stores. One of these serves a few specialty drinks like Frappuccino. There is a charming hotel next to the church on the plaza. Yerbabuena is absolutely worth a visit!Written July 10, 2024
- N8754NGrachelb0 contributionsLovely day tripJorge and Carlos were wonderful! Everything was orderly, professional and on time. Jorge was a very knowledgeable, friendly guide who knew all of the local flora, fauna, and history. When some of the kiddos in our group admired the delicious fruit at the stands we passed, he stopped to buy some so we could all try it. Carlos went above and beyond driving us comfortably on twisty, cobblestone roads and even recovering one group member's phone left at a previous stop. The tour was a perfect length; we saw a lot without ever feeling rushed. If you are okay with moderate altitude, have good walking shoes, and no mobility issues, this is a great tour for all ages and group types.Written July 6, 2024
- Navigate2017160 contributionsSayulita and too much more. The trip was not what we expected. The description was that we would go to Sayulita and San Pancho and that’d we would be provided a boogie board. It took almost 3 hours to get to Sayulita because of so many stops. One stop at a tequila factory, another at a roadside fruit stand and another at a jewelry store. I really just wanted to go to Sayulita. No boogie board was provided. The driver was nice and courteous. I hate to give an average review but the description of the trip should be amended so folks know what to expect.Written June 30, 2024

- 341jimz0 contributionsSan Sebastián Bus TourOverall, tour was good. Bus ride was a little too long due to a hundred, at least, speed humps and over half the roads were cobblestone which was rough and too much bounce.....the Tequila was real tasty, lunch was below average. The church was fricken magnificent and really beautiful. Museum was nice, coffee tour was ok, but had good historical information. Jewelry stop was nice, but highly priced. Ride back down was better than ride up the hill to 4,500 feet. Good for adults, not sure kids would enjoy this type of adventure. Lots of traffic getting back. Tour guide, Gustavo was outstanding as was our driver, Freddie.Written May 23, 2024

- R M0 contributionsDay on the bumpy roadAll day adventure. See the backside of OV and then a long windy road into the mountians. Stop at a jeweler house near San Sebastian, a working tequila farm, coffee home that is over 100 yrs old and finally San Sebastian. It's a tourist trap. Walk around the town, cobble stone roads. Don't recommend if you cannot walk or have disabilities that makes walking difficult. Frankly, it wasn't worth the time or money. Bus is not for tall people. Felt like we were bussed to select vendors which we could have found right in PV. Guide and driver were nice as were most of our group except for Trump loving American.Written April 25, 2024
- N1319ERkarenc0 contributionsTop Tour Guide in Puerto VallartaOmar is an excellent and very knowledgeable tour guide. Even before the tour started, he called to ensure we were at the correct pickup location. He shared his great knowledge of Mexico and the places we visited with such ease in both Spanish and English, that the entire group was completely entertained and enjoyed every moment. Fredrico was a fantastic addition to Omar and made our trip safe and wonderful. The meal was good and the entire trip was well worth it.Written April 22, 2024

First we were told we will be in a small van to keep the group intimate for easy communication, then we were all herded into a huge bus. The tour guide have extensive outlines in Spanish and short talks in very broken English that was difficult to understand. The downtown walk was pleasant and the church beautiful to behold. Then the bus couldn’t meet us due to traffic issues and we had to walk 20min to the next stop for “shopping”. This was a typical tourist trap jewelry store with endless busses dropping off tourists to do some jewelry shopping. This was NOT on our itinerary and if it was, I would not have picked this tour! Then we were off to the tequila factory at the end of a very long windy coastal road. But first we had to visit a coffee “factory” which was indeed another tourist trap...this time a place with a small roaster, a brief talk and taste and then shopping for useless souvenirs, which was the main reason why we were there. The coffee side of the business was a trick to get tour bus us to stop there. Again, this is not on the itinerary. Well, then off to taste some tequila. This factory is situated on a very bumpy dirt road against a hill. We were herded into a restaurant to buy food options on display which was then cooked while we were taking in the tequila factory. The restaurant is another overpriced tourist trap where you’re charged M$50 for a small bottle of water. The tequila side of the tour was real, short and interesting and the tasting was good.

After dropping passangers at the Vidanta on our way back from the city tour, our driver, Anthony, on the request of our tour guide Thomas, backed up on the highway. Cars were honking like crazy at our mini-van. The driver, Anthony, back up until he reached the left turned exit for our hotel, Sea Garden. Then he had to cut the uncoming left lane to exit. We were scared! All of that not to go further on the highway to exit at proper exit. We made a complain at our hotel guide,Sea garden.

Carlos was the best. We didn’t want to do anything extravagant or heavy so we decided on a City Tour and for the price it was AWESOME! To top it off we ended with a Tequila Tasting which was so unexpected. Highly recommend this tour.

Rather than repeat what has already been written, please allow me to refer to the review on Jan 16, 2021 by rbrow018. I took the identical trip with Jorge and Carlos. The main difference is that I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Obviously the pandemic has taken a viscous roll, so I understand why several sales stops were made to support the survivors. None seemed too lengthy or obtrusive.
Lunch at the tequila distillery was reasonably priced considering the quality of fresh seafood offered. They were happy to reduce my meal since I was the only single among several couples. I was invited to join one of the couples who had ordered the same dish. It was obvious they had been completely fair - a half portion for half the price. And the food was delicious; better than at Vidanta and less than half the price!
The entire tour was a pleasant surprise, especially the tour guide Jorge. His personal and private quest is to save Macaws from the brink of extinction. From three birds to a healthy flock of sixty or more. People like him, who do good deeds without fame or fortune are rare jewels (better than at the silver shop)!
I hope you select this tour and are as delighted as I was.

We took the all-day city trip to include a coffee roasting plant and tequila tasting at a mountain hacienda. This was a relatively fast paced tour (at about $23 per person) on a comfortable bus. The city portion might have felt rushed, but it gave you the opportunity to see places you'd come back to by Uber/Lyft/Taxi. The hacienda offered a selection of 4 different lunch options (mix of fish, pork, lamb, beef) where you could get beer or hard drinks to go with it. The tour guide was a local who was very knowledgeable and friendly. The driver was both safe and courteous. Total trip time was approximately 9 hours from initial pick-up. Recommend taking bottled water and snacks for the bus.

The tour was informative and we got to see the city and mountain area of Puerto Vallarta. Our guide Thomas and photographer Ramon were awesome. Our first stop was by the beach where the Puerto Vallarta sign is located then we walked over to a nice picturesque church. After that we headed over to a jewelry shop and a leather shop. The two shops provided beverages and restrooms. We headed up the mountain to a coffee farm and got to taste their coffee. I bought a bag of strong espresso coffee. Then we headed over to a tequila factory where we tasted a flight of different tequilas and how it is made. I bought a bottle of the creamy tequila to enjoy with my coffee. The down turn of the tour was the restaurant located by the tequila factory. The food and drinks was subpar and they charged a lot for the mediocre dishes. It is best to have pesos or use a card during this excursion because they charged more for the exchange rate to the American dollar. Overall, I would suggest this excursion just skipped the restaurant and eat a full breakfast before going and just have a beer at the restaurant.

We had a great day with Pablo our guide. (I am not sure this is the right company, it's the one with the neon orange shirts). We learned a bunch and enjoyed the company. Just know that the places they take you to shop are overpriced for Mexico- do your shopping in Rio Cuale market on your own.
The presentation at the Tequila distillery was the highlight - the presentation was very entertaining and the Tequila was great (but kinda spendy). We still ended up with two bottles of the pecan liquor because OMG! So good!

I liked it and disliked it. It took about an hour to start the tour after being pickup. They pick you up at your hotel and take you back to the Marina where you get into a nicer van with A/C, thank goodness, and then you leave without doing a tour of the Marina. Huh? It quickly becomes too much of a sales tour at a leather shop, jewellery shop, and organic coffee roaster. We did like the tour guide, he was pleasant and engaging with everyone. But he is part of the sales program. We enjoyed the church tour, saw a few statues on the Malecon and then headed out of town to the coffee roaster and then the Tequila Ranch which was a good long drive past Boca de Tomalan. I liked the tequila making explanation with a fun taste testing of a variety of types. It was a definitely a tasting to catch a buzz. Then a late lunch was available for $660- $1000 peso for two. Too expensive for my liking, but we were very hungry, thankfully the food was good. The tour started at 9ish and lasted until 4ish. It's an inexpensive tour for $29 USD, but the goal is to upsell your pants off, so take it or leave it. I would have preferred to leave it if I knew better.

Terrible - you stop for 10-15 minutes at a leather shop, candy shop, tequila tasting, opal shop, church and then they take you out to a restaurant that is way too expensive. They must be getting kickbacks from the places we visited. Oh and you don’t have any option for lunch. Where they take you is the only place available. We spent more time on the bus than anything else. We can’t get this time back and it’s a very poor representation of what downtown Puerto Vallarta has to offer!

This tour was not good. It was scheduled for a 9:00 pickup, which was pushed to 9:40. Then it was pushed to 10:10 waiting for another party to arrive. At the end of the day, we had to run to our ship as it was leaving in 3 minutes. Our first stop was to a jewelry store where we wasted an hour. How this is a city highlights tour is beyond me. Then we were driven for an hour down the coast to a coffee demonstration which took 5 minutes and an additional 45 minutes to shop for....coffee....another city highlights? Then we were driven up a very bumpy dirt road to a tequila factory where we were given a tequila tasting. Lunch was not included, but we had to wait for those in the group who paid $70+ for lunch. After driving an hour back to the city, we were taken to a church and given 15 minutes to shop in town. Don't take this tour if you want to see the city!

Hello Cynthia! You should have done a private city tour, since we have in the website the schedule of the tour, and of course it's a shared tour so we have to wait for more people. Also, for you may not be interesting a few things, but other people does not think the same as you.

The lunch is well off the beaten path at the site of the tequila tour. We thought it might be in town where we could get a smaller bite somewhere but it's not. So we did not pay in advance but bought lunch at the site. The food was good and the plates were designed for two people with a bunch of options. Not cheap but, unless you pack your own lunch, there's not an option.
