    ATV Safari
Our family had a great time on Vallarta Adventures ATV Safari. This was the the third time we have done this excursion with them and they definitely did not disappoint! Tommy and Manuel made sure everyone was comfortable with the vehicles during safety briefing before sending us out on our adventure. The waterfall was beautiful. Andrea, their photographer was energetic and took amazing pictures. I highly recommend this trip!

They’ll change the age, weight, height requirements as they deem appropriate. Not much you can do about it!
Good agenda if the operators don’t change the age, weight, height requirements on you when you get to the front of the line! As a military retiree, it’s my nature to pay close attention to details, including age, weight, height, etc, requirements before I agree to spend my money on anything. On this ocasión, I purchased tickets for my entire family for ocean mania after making sure I understood those requirements. On the day of the tour, after waiting in line for some of the rides, it turned out that the young folks operating the rides were free to alter the age, weight, height requirements as they wished and deny the rides as they deemed appropriate. Certainly not based on what was on their website or how busy they were, because it was a very slow day. Upon returning to the port I made sure to report the discrepancy between the requirements listed on the website and those enforced by the operators. After showing the “manager” the website requirements, I was assured they would LOOK into it! So, I guess that’s supposed to make me feel good and consider the matter properly addressed! In my opinion, not so much. Paying attention to the small print matters! Apparently, not to Vallarta Adventures! A sixteen year old that doesn’t want to be bothered is free to change the requirements on the spot and deny access to rides you’ve already paid for. UNFORTUNATE!

    Very litte snorkling
I will be honest, i had such high hopes. I had gone snorkling in Thailand and loved it. This was very different. When we arrived at the marina we were herded through multiple checks prior to finally getting on the boat. We drove for 1 hour before we hit the snorkle designation. This is a 7 hour trip and assumed we would spend at least a few hours in the water but no, we were told we would get 20 mins to snorkle. I paid over $100 us dollars for 20 mins snorkle time. Our group was huge and you had to stay together so you were on top of one another in a small space. The snorkling was wonderful but honestly i could have stayed for hours. We were then taken on the boat to Yelapa. Lunch was provided but it was on the boat and essentially it was sandwiches and potato salad. We were standing in line while they drove and it was very hard to stand and walk with the plates and cups. The male staff were amazing and helpful. There was a very nasty female photographer who was rude because i didnt want my picture taken. As we arrived in Yelapa it started to pour with rain. We were forced off the boat and marched across grainy wet sand and told we can sit in 1 of 2 restaurants for 2 hours. Some of the group hiked up to the waterfall but we had selected the beach. It was wet, smelly and the town was basically a tourist trao. 2 hours of people trying to sell things we dont want. Could not leave fast enough and the boat ride home had crazy loud music that was uncomfortable . The male staff performed a few lip syncs and it was amusing. When we arrived back at port we had to go an extensively long route back through the main terminal just so they can try to sell us more stuff. Basically it was very little snorkling and lots of waiting . Happy to be back at the resort

    Great turned into a nightmare
** please read!!! Day 3 gets hectic ** My husband and I went and choose to do the Outdoor Zipline adventure, dolphin and sealion encounter and parasailing.. AUG 4 2023 5 STARS++ we did outdoor zipline adventrue it was one for the books! Everything went smooth Piña and his team were phenomenal on making sure that you were safe they were funny and caring! We definitely recommend this tour! The views are very nice especially the waterfall and the best part of it all was ziplining into the water! AUG 5th 2023 5 STARS we did the dolphin and sea lion encounter the sealion Rex was super friendly you get to pet and do poses with him in the water, Karla was out guide she was very informative on Rex we recommend! He felt like a wet dog lol The dolphin was great as well I just cannot remember the name of our tour guide or dolphin but we did it back to back one at 10 am and the other at 12pm AUG 7 1 star -there is where things went down hill.. we scheduled parasailing at 9am but got an email 2-3 days prior saying It would be pushed earlier due to forseen wind so our new time is 8am. Everything was good didn't mind. We went out to sea with 2 other couples. Both of them went before us so we were the 3rd ones to go. Their time on the sky was amazing smooth and calm.. then came us everything was starting ok it was calm they took pictures of us before we went up into the sky they also had a go pro set up, to record us in the sky, so 1-2 minutes in the air everything was smooth then all of a sudden we felt a weird tug 2x and I asked my husband " no way thats the end are they reeling us in?"he said " yea I think so " and we just stayed looking down at the water " we both then said " oh look seems like we can touch the water we are so close " we both said it jokingly thinking the reason we were so close was because they were pulling us in. Next thing you know we noticed we stopped in the air and fell straight into the water we bearly had time to catch a breath. We were under water while being dragged by the boat so we could not get back up into the surface. We then were able to go up and get a breath and then all of a sudden started tugging on us even more we swallowed alot of water since it was unexpectedly.. once I was able to get up into the surface I was looking for my husband he was still drowning under water while being pulled- he says it was by the parachute and all its heavy metal- i remember trying to swim to him to help him up and I was then pulled on once again!* luckily he is able to hold his breath for the longest* but he also swallowed water as well. The boat the turned on and come to us we were pretty far from it. The guy jumped off swam to us since we were still tied on to the parachute and went under water to undo us from it, we got on the boat but i struggled getting on because i had no force due to the scare. Everyone asked if we were ok. We were not definitely traumatized. They told us the motor had failed and boat died on them. My husband lost his glasses. Once we got to land we filed an incident report. They offered us a complementary tour to Las calletas but we refused. We were not in a mood to do anything anymore. I asked about the videos and pictures they said i should recive them i a link. * FOR FREE * some one will contact me that same day to resolve and get out money back. They supposedly reached out, but weren't able to get in contact with us, till i finally called today AUG 9th they said the videos and picture " carshed " which is BS cause the 2 other couples got their pictures right then and there after they finished parasailing they were watching them while on the boat and the 2nd couple was in the air and the second couple was watching theirs while we were being strapped in. The lady told me that i should get a refund in 20 days. We will wait and see. I wouldnt mind even getting the pictures before we took off Into the air. Also the video while in the air. I feel like it would be a good video to have for memories even if its a bad experience. Such a scary experience I do not wish upon anyone.

Amazing experience for the whole family
This was a fun off-roading trip on RZR with many hills and dips which add excitement to the route. Our tour guides Tommy Manuel and Sergio made sure to keep us on track and helped keep a good environment. Our photographer Omar to stupendous photos and also assisted with anything my family and the others that were with us needed. The route also includes a small hike which leads to an beautiful water fall with nice cool water and fantastic photo opportunities. Would definitely recommend this for anyone who is even considering this activity. This activity is fit for people of all ages.

    Adrenaline Adventures
Charlie and Misael along with their crew: Abi, Fer, Angel, Fam,Family, Luis, Aldo and Jerry were absolutely amazing from start to finish. They were all very welcoming, funny, and enjoyable the entire adventure. They encouraged everyone and shared the information necessary for one to make a decision before doing each activity. It was an adrenaline rush for me and for my husband who loves adrenaline more than me. Overall, an amazing experience with wonderful guides and fun adventures. You will test your fears and overcome them all at the dame time. The pictures and videos are also amazing! Highly reccomend!

    Adrenaline Adventure
It was an amazing trip and fun day. Charly started the adventure off right with fun in the shuttle ride, same with Misael! Then on the course Abi, Fer, Angel, Pam, Luis y Aldo were both incredibly helpful and informative on how to get the best experience. The picture quality from Andy and Jerry was fantastic! Plus, Jerry's jokes had us laughing all day long!

    Waste of time
This is a selling tour , not a city tour . It’s designed to take you to a few shops where they give you little information on the place such as a coffee bean farm , silver shop and expect you to buy from them . I should have taken a small guide to a better locations where I wasn’t forced to shop . My other tour for the beach day today was cancelled last minute , I would stay away from this company in general honestly .

    Vallarta Adventures "Outdoor Adventure"
Speedboat ride across the bay. 4 X 4 ride into the jungle to basecamp. Donkey ride to the top of the mountain. 1st zipline. Hike to the 1st zipline. Couple of ziplines and then a rappel down a large waterfall. Zipline into a large pool of water from the stream. Rollercoaster zipline which was crazy. Couple of rope bridges across rivers. Surfboard zipline for 2 standing. Hike to the top of a massive waterslide. Insane. Hang upside down zipline. Hike back to basecamp for chips and salsa. Food and beer /drinks for sale with all photos to purchase. 4 X 4 ride back to town. Hop on speedboat for a ride to Marietas Islands protected nature sanctuary on your way back to port.

The tour started off great! Nice, roomy, comfortable catamaran, crew was great, weather, although cloudy and a little cool, was nice. We sat in the back for reasons of comfort and convenience and the four of us were having a wonderful time with three others we had met on the boat!
Then, a smoker showed up and, much to all of our surprise and chagrin, was allowed to smoke within a few feet of us, and was even given an ashtray by a crew member! No one, smoker or crew, asked if it was okay with us! Then another showed up, then another, then yet another! They didn’t come back, have a smoke and leave....they sat literally a few feet away and puffed for the whole sail! One of whom, I’m certain, was chain smoking one after the other!
So, while we were having cocktails, hors d’ouerves and visiting, second hand smoke would intermittently waft through our group...it was disgusting!
So, although boat, crew, food and drinks were all very good, an evening event that we were all looking forward to for so long was completely ruined.
If Vallarta Adventures policy is to allow smokers and smoking to infringe on the comfort and health of the other guests, then I am sad to say I can NOT recommend this tour and would, in fact recommend you STAY AWAY....unless you’re a smoker!

We head to Puerto Vallarta every year and have made doing the Luxury Sunset Sail with Vallarta Adventures part of our trip the last three years. This time we arrived for 4:30 at the Nuevo office as usual, 5:00 came and we expected to walk down the pier and board our boat. Time kept passing and when we asked we were told we would board our boat soon. At 5:30 they asked us to follow them and took us out to a bus. They bussed us all the way into the Marina in Puerto Vallarta with absolutely no explanation...no sorry, nothing. We got on the water and about 15 min later the sun set....and we were returned to the pier the same time which means we lost a full 1/3 of our tour. Were told that the toilets at the office were closed but we could use the toilet on the boat if we wished, I am sure they just did not want angry customers in their office. The staff on the boat did a wonderful job and the food was great...but we for sure did not get our moneys worth this trip. I understand there is another company doing a sunset sail, perhaps we will give them a try on our future trips.

This was by far my favorite excursion we had done over our two week honeymoon. Our friends had gotten it for us through Puerto Vallarta Adventures as a gift and we had never sailed before.

The check in was easy to find on the dock and the staff were great. They showed us the way to the boat and we met our crew Noah, Angel, and Ruben. Noah was the captain with a lot of knowledge on the ocean and sailing and was fun to talk with. Angel took pictures of everyone for them while sailing and Ruben was a great bartender!

The food provided was a great bento box with a charcuterie board. It was wonderful and so were the drinks!

Highly recommend for anyone, especially couples as you get a great view of the sunset and it’s very romantic. We will definitely be doing this again whenever we get the chance to come back!

Warning, Warning, Warning. Do not book ahead for any Vallarta Adventures. They promise 100% refund if cancelled 48 hours or more. What they don’t tell you is the refund isn’t processed for up to one year from the booking date. Criminal and signs of a business failure.

We did the sunset sailing. It was very beautiful but we had a few things we feel need improvement. First of all, two sailboats left at the same time. The other sailboat sailed towards the sunset and sailed fast way ahead of us, ours went super slow towards the hotels. The purpose of this tour is we're trying to get away from the shore/hotels not go towards it. Then the music was ehh. The sailboat cruise was such a relaxing, perhaps romantic to some, cruise and they should be playing some smooth jazz or music like Commodores (Sail On) lol. I mean, I like Bad Bunny but not for this cruise, it just doesn't go. And lastly, we left at 6:30 pm and were back at the dock a little before 9:00 pm, the other sailboat was not even back yet and no where to be seen. The Vallarta Adventures website clearly states it is 3 hours, even in Trip Advisor, so I feel we were cut very short, that was not cool! I still think, it really is a nice cruise and recommend it, just needs some small improvements and they need to stop cutting people's trip short, because they are paying for 3 hours so they should get 3 hours!

We thoroughly enjoyed our Sunset cruise. Our captain, Jorge, was very entertaining, as was the rest of the crew. Initially there was insufficient wind to utilize the sails alone, but that changed on our way back from PV. The appetizers were very tasty and the beverages plentiful. The sunset was spectacular and we were able to take lots of pictures. All in all, an Excellent time!

Sunset sailing in PVR with Vallarta Adventures was outstanding . First rate staff of Noah the captain , Lilu , JJ and Victor. Once we were seated on the catamaran we were served drinks and appetizers. The boat capacity is very limited so you never feel like you are fighting for service. Our first trip to PVR and this was the best part . The sunsets were outstanding and combined with the Team on the boat and landslide was worth every penny. As a reference we do a lot of traveling and have done these type of excursions and this was in the top 3.

Great little cruise last night. First half of the trip were sailing across the Bahia while enjoying drinks and above expectations appetizers. Once the sun starts setting the sails are rolled up and it’s picture time of the stunning sunset. We were lucky, added bonus of whale watching. They were everywhere!! And boat was full of really fun people !

The sailboat was modern and well-equipped, and the crew (Carlos, Samuel, and Christopher) were excellent. All food and beverages were included, and the crew did a great job serving everything while the boat was underway. Background music was well-chosen to appeal to almost anyone and the volume wasn't too loud. We enjoyed this trip very much and would recommend it to anyone who wants a relaxing, low-key, and classy adventure sailing on Banderas Bay.

We had a fabulous time sailing with Jorge, Kelvin and Salvadore! Everything was perfect—the boat is lovely, a 46’ catamaran and these three made sure we were happy, serving cocktails, a surprising lovely platter of hits d’oeurves and entertaining us with stories. The sunset (of course) was stunning and we seemed to be suspended in time. I would highly recommend this lovely, peaceful cruise!!
