We took a tour of Mazatlan Mexico and enjoyed the city. We saw some cliff divers, a natural lighthouse, a church and had lunch at a restaurant by the water. We also went to a tequila restaurant where we sampled a few of the flavoured tequilas they had and bought some coffee flavoured tequila there as well as their coffee which they make there. We also went to a market and bought some souvenirs and vanilla. Saw some of their statues around town. All I all we enjoyed our trip.

Eduardo is the Supreme tour guide! He packed in so much in a 3 hour tour THEN we were overwhelmed with our meal at Casa 46. Pueblo Bonito Resorts offers these tours. We go each year as there is more to learn! You get off once for the Cliff Divers who make rock diving appear easy....but it is not.

We had a lovely half-day in Mazatlan with Mazatlan Van Tours. We got to see the famous cliff divers perform their dangerous feats. We saw the cathedral and the downtown area. We even had time to explore the interesting indoor market near the cathedral. Since Mazatlan is famous for its shrimp dishes, we ate some delicious shrimp at a local restaurant. Mazatlan is a sprawling city, too difficult to explore on foot. Our tour guide was affable and friendly. Highly recommend this chance to explore the city.

Following this review, the operator refunded 2/5th of the tour cost. For three hours, we saw about as much as we could.

Not a great tour of Mazatlán, very limited information and shorter than advertised
Review of Mazatlan City Sightseeing Tour with Shopping Time and Lunch
Reviewed yesterday
Trip is advertised for 5 hours but lasted less than three. I tried calling to see what the company would do on an adjustment, but the phone is not answered and has no voice mail set up.

Driver was to pick us up at 9:15; is was more like 9:50. Jesus was a nice guy, but not a great tour guide. Limited information. We made a few quick stops along the water front, up a hill to a little restaurant on the top, and down thru the fishing piers. Drove past a few things in old town and then ended at a church and walked down to a local market. Jesus said that was the end of the trip and he would take us back to the hotel. When I asked about the five hours advertised for the trip, he knew nothing about it. We were done in three hours. The tour operator has refunded the difference.

We had a few stops, the cliff divers, a great hotel in Mazatlan, and the Immaculate Conception church. But, that lunch was useless! The beach was pretty but, the vendors hassle you to no end. The food is not good...overcooked. No offerings for napkins, or condiments. Service flirting w/ being rude they were so curt. The driver would say see you in an hour and start looking for you in 45 mins. So if you got on the bus in 60 mins, you felt late. I wouldn't do it again.

Good guide - he knew the city and tried to be helpful but ... we felt rushed. Other city tours allowed more time to visit and explore. Might be better to allow guests to explore with people with similar interests and age appropriate. Our stops and times were subject to the majority of group who were older ladies which did match ours.

Thank you to Rene' for an amazing tour of the City. Rene arrived early to pick me up and spoke excellent English. The tour included New Mazatlan, Old Mazatlan, the Boardwalk, downtown, the Opera House, the shrimp market and the flower market. The highlight was the Cliff divers along the boardwalk. Rene knows his city and is very proud of it and its history. The tour is done in a motorized golf cart so there are only a few people on each tour. I was the only passenger on our tour and I saw all of Mazatlan. I highly recommend this tour - ask for Rene.

Mazatlan was one of our port stops on our Princess Cruise. We had no plans, and upon arriving, we were bombarded with guides wanting to give us a tour. We were lucky enough to choose Victor. We had 10 people, he gave us a good price; and his van fit us perfectly, along with a cooler of water and soft drinks he provided. He was so very funny, quite knowledgeable about the city, and best of all, he let us decide if we wanted to stop at the locations he suggested. If we didn't want to stop, he had no problem with that. He brought us to nice view points, told us about the history of old town, mid town and the new part of town. He showed us the market, the city church, and brought us to a nice beach restaurant for lunch. He took really good care of us. Thanks Victor! Highly recommended

We booked a sightseeing tour at the last minute, after missing the larger bus group tour from our hotel. It turned out to be the best thing to happen, as we got to experience a personal and private "one on one" tour with just my wife and I and our tour guide Eduardo. We were picked up right at our hotel and taken to all of the highlights of Mazatlan including the Golden zone, malecon boardwalk and statues, Old Mazatlan, the Cathedral, and even viewed some exciting cliff diving. We stopped at many view points and took some great scenic pictures... Lots of our pictures include both of us in them because Eduardo was not only our driver, but also our photographer too! We would highly recommend this tour to anyone.... Thanks again Eduardo!

We took a cruise with Princess Cruise lines January 2019 - and one of our stops was Mazatlan. What a great experience we had. Once you get off the ship and go into the terminal shopping area -you head for the outdoor area. We were greeted by Caesar from the Mazatlan City Tour- there are vans you can take but we preferred the "Safari Jeep" Tour. Omg was so much fun. Caesar took us all over Mazatlan and saw all the sights and we got some great photo opts. He asked did we want to shop and we preferred to just drive and around and take in all the sights to see. We then went to a great lunch place right on the beach. Food was great and so flavorful. I had the shrimp - you will not be disappointed. Caesar was so full of knowledge on our Jeep ride. If you get to Mazatlan the Mazatlan City Tour - Safari Jeep is a must.
