About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- bradziker10 contributionsAverage rideI did the five bays and it took a few hours from the cruise dock. The first half of the ride was very good as the guide spoke excellent English and gain great commentary on the land and other information. We saw a blowhole that was interesting. We stopped for 1/2 hour at Maguey Bay for swimming. This was a major disappointment as it was just a beach - no coral or fish. Others commented the water was a bit chilly, so I did not bother to get in, and seeing fish was one of the reasons I signed up. They did serve bananas, watermelon, coke, fresca, water, beer and margaritas the entire trip. The ride back did not have as much commentary. It overall was average.Written April 17, 2024
- BF111220 contributionsBadFor $65 dollars a person and on top of that $30 to get picked up at our resort was a red Flag! I said whatever we can take a taxi. But then I received a message saying the excursion ppl were stopping by our resort so we can ride with them. Okay kool no problem. Then when we get to the port we pay to get in okay kool no issue there. But then there was a confusion or idk but everyone boarded the catamaran but us that were in the vehicle cuz our guide was late with our tickets. So now we are the last ones to board whatever it’s fine we made it. But then the whole ride was not what we expected or what the excursion said we were going to do. Basically it was not good we should have done the $33 dollar excursion it was the same damm thing. Definitely not the party boatWritten March 27, 2024
- Patricia W0 contributionsGreat day & great guide!Great fun day! Excellent guide … Eduardo! Safety was a top priory for him & we felt very safe with him! He was very specific on walking & climbing with care in the water & on the rocks! He was professional, knowable & showed us a wonderful day! I would recommend this tour and EDUARDO as a guide VERY highly!!!Written March 12, 2024
- noreenm1360 contributionsEco tour experienceIt was a bit of a long drive to get there, once we were there we had a lovely little boat ride and saw many birds and crocodiles. We had a lovely snack on the island there. After we went to release the turtles and saw a beautiful sunset. However we were unaware we were going to the turtles and did not know we needed to bring more money with us.($200 per person in pesos) . We got home after 9pm.Written February 25, 2024
- Corporatepilot130 contributionsMeh.We got a small van on the way to the hotel which was much smaller than advertised. The ride back to the airport the rides were 30 minutes late for pick up and they sent 2 small cars instead of the van. Drivers were friendly on the ride to the airport. Driver on the way to the hotel couldn't of cared less about us.Written February 10, 2024
- avalondorothyj0 contributionsTour was good but had hidden costs. The guide, Carlos, was good. He had knowledge and a genuine concern for the environment. The actual sites/tours were interesting and what we expected, which was good. What was not good was having to pay an additional 200 pesos per person per site, as the description of the tour states that admissions are included. I understand that these sites are trying to protect and preserve wild life, which costs. But after paying almost $250 CAD for 3 persons, this added another $100 to the trip. The description on TripAdvisor needs to be updated to include this information.Written January 31, 2024
- erinmT3482GY0 contributionsHighlight of our tripBest tour I have ever done. The waterfalls exceeded expectations, lots of time to swim there. Our guide, Alex, was excellent, gave us lots of local information on the drive up, which kept it interesting. He was really good with our 2 children (6 & 10). Food at the restaurant after was also excellent. I would highly recommend going with a guide as opposed to on your own, as we would not have known all the routes up and down the falls. 10/10 trip.Written December 12, 2023
- KellyKnutsen1230 contributionsA great way to try different tacos and feel like a local. We had a very nice evening out, being taken to 3 different taco spots. Felt like a local! It was fun. Our guide spoke very good English so he was able to answer all our questions about the Huatulco area and the cute town of La Crucecita. I found it a little expensive, but would still recommend the tour.Written November 20, 2023
- JackieTheAdventurer0 contributionsPerfect dayThe waterfalls were a beautiful place to visit. The water was clean and refreshing. Our guide, Eduardo, was excellent. He helped everyone to walk and climb through several waterfall areas with patience and kindness. The drive was long, and the last part very bumpy, but Eduardo told us many interesting facts about the area, and was very entertaining. Next we had a family style lunch of delicious Mexican dishes at a restaurant near the falls. It was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend it.Written August 22, 2023

- tedw6690 contributions.Couldn,t find the house, unfortunate to have not recorded the addressUnfortunately, the driver could not find the house. I had sent the address twice but all he had was the title. Casa de las palmas. I guess he assumed it was the Las Palmas Hotel and he knew where it was. They drove around looking for almost an hour. I do not know what happened to all of the information that I sent that included the street and house number. Otherwise the driver was great, very safeWritten March 22, 2023

- Princesscruising0 contributionsUnsafe, Unsanitary SnorkelingWhat was supposed to be a fun afternoon learning how to snorkel in clear water in Mexico was anything but. The seas were rough so we stayed within sight of town. No safety talk, no instructions on how to use equipment. (Was it sanitized? I think not.) We went to a swimming cove where the swells were 3 feet high , told to jump into water from boat and swim to roped off swim boundary. My husband was unable to figure out how to use equipment, and mask was too small for him. I started to panic and could not breath. We swam back to boat. My husband cut his hands and leg on the ladder. After a while the rest of passengers returned and we sailed to a calm beach. By that time I was seasick. My husband and I swam to the beach and spent our time there as did a couple other participants. I heard comments from experienced snorkelers that this had been a bad experience. Our backpacks and contents were soaked as water covered the floor and benches. Fortunately, we did not take our phones. I suggested to Princess Cruises that this tour operator does not meet its standards. I hope they quit using it. I do not recommend this tour company.Written February 9, 2023

Tito did a great job. He knows the area well, being from here, but his English great because of having lived in the US. He made sure everyone in the group was comfortable and explained things to everyone in Spanish and English. The turtle release will be a lifetime memory . Much appreciation to the staff at the turtle center.

My wife & I booked this experience through Sunwing. Our guide, Fernando, picked us up at our Santa Cruz hotel mid-afternoon. We headed NE along the winding Hwy 200 to Escobilla, stopping along that way at a chocolate-maker - a yummy break! Fernando told us of his boyhood experiences with the sea turtles and of their plight over the past 40 years as we drove. We washed our hands at the small Escobilla Interpretive Centre before heading to the Tortuga (Turtle) Hatchery, both sponsored & supported by locals, the Mexican government, & The Body Shop. We then took a basin of newly-hatched baby sea turtles to the Pacific shoreline, where we carried each one part of the way to the ocean, releasing them to complete their journey on their own. Truly an exercise in HOPE, as one in a hundred Black Sea Turtles survive into adulthood. “Fun” for the kids, but meaningful, too. There we watched a fabulous sunset, feeling a lot of gratitude. A beautiful opportunity not to be missed!

We had a great time releasing the sea turtles. Our guide Fermin is very professional, and speaks fluent English as he was born in the US. Fermin is so knowledgeable, and explained literally everything about the sea turtles on our way to the sanctuary. The bonus is the beautiful beach, and we would absolutely do it again next time when we are in Huatulco.
