Comfortable, safe trip for first time Mexico traveling family
Dec 2019
Tim at Boca Roja made everything very easy by planning a 2 day trip to Valle de Guadalupe for my group of 7 people from San Diego. The wineries, restaurants and hotel he planned for us were all excellent. Luis was our driver and tour guide and I highly recommend asking for him if you book with Boca Roja - he was accommodating, friendly, knowledgeable and went out of his way to make sure everyone had a perfect trip.

Top notch!
Best experience on a group tour I've ever had. Tim, Marcos and Ace were very fun and informative. Lots of interesting information and very knowledgeable on history of areas we saw. Lots packed into our 3 day 2 night getaway but everything was so well planned and ran so smoothly that we didn't ever feel rushed. The wineries and wine they served totally blew me away. I had no idea Valle de Guadalupe Wine country even existed. The farm to table meals were also exceptional. Tim takes time to understand his group and takes you to where he feels you would enjoy most. The only downside was our accommodations. The original hotel we were booked at was going through renovations so we were put in a different hotel which was clean, friendly and accommodating but itself is way overdue for renovations. This was no fault of Tim's he did his best to accomodate our group on short notice. Definitely would book with this company again.

Great Trip and a wonderful driver guide
We had a wonderful time with Luis. He was a perfect guide for us in our first adventure for wine in Baja

The wine was great the food was delicious. Fun time stopping for Tacos in the way. The lunch at Fauna was amazing!

I highly recommend this trip.

Amazing Experience!
Sep 2019
A group of ten of us booked through Boca Roja for my friend's 50th. Luis, the driver, was exceptional and so organized. He spoke fluent English and Spanish and was amazing. Can't say enough great things about Luis!

Luis picked us up at 9am from Carlsbad and our adventure began. We crossed the border and stopped in Rosarito at Tacos El Yaqui for the best street tacos I've had! El Yaqui was expecting us and they served us at our table so we avoided the long line stretched down the sidewalk.

Our first stop was Mina Penelope where we had a private tasting on the most beautiful grounds. Then we were off to Solar Fortun where we tasted wine under a beautiful oak tree. Next stop Fauna which was INCREDIBLE! We had a four course tasting meal paired with wine. We absolutely loved this stop.

Our final stop was Cuatro Cuatros which was my personal favorite. It's a great cocktail lounge with a spectacular view of the Pacific. A can't miss.

We had a tremendous and memorable day! Worth every penny.

Lizette’s Birthday Bach!
Aug 2019 • Friends
We had the absolute best time last weekend for my best friends bachelorette. Our guide, Tim, showed us a really great time introducing us to vineyard owners, amazing views, and delicious food, and he had great knowledge of the region. We cannot stop talking about how much fun we had. Thank you for making Lizette’s birthday Bach unforgettable!

Awesome Day
Aug 2019 • Friends
Big shout out to Dan and Tim. Planned the day trip for my 30th birthday and had an amazing time. Dan was awesome and really made sure we had a great day. Tim answered my numerous questions and always was focused on how to make our experience the best.

I am not a big planner, so Boca Roja was perfect because they took care of everything. From picking us up at our house, to ensuring everything was setup for us at each winery before we even sat down, Dan made it so all we had to do was enjoy ourselves. It’s been two days and we’ve already discussed our next trip with an even bigger group.

Thank you again Dan and Tim! We had a great day and it was a perfect way to launch into my 30s.

Amazing trip!
Jul 2019 • Couples
My wife & I had an unbelievable experience with Boca Roja in Valle De Guadalupe! I wanted to plan an extra special birthday getaway for my wife. After looking into Napa & Sonoma in California, I came across an article about Mexico’s Napa Valley ( Valle de Guadaulpe). The more I researched this region, the more I became interested.

There was only one problem. Flying from Chicago turned into several connecting flights which would turn into a 10-12 hour flight. I stumbled across Boca Roja and read about their tour company. They will take you from San Diego down to Mexico’s wine valley in less than 2 hours and whisk you across the border with no issues. I then researched flights from Chicago to San Diego and boom, many non stop flights came up.

I contacted Boca Roja & they were able to customize a multi-day trip that was unbelievable. We flew into San Diego & they picked us up at the airport with a cooler filled with waters and beers. After crossing the border we stopped in a small town Rosarito to sample some of the best tacos I’ve had in years. Soon afterwards they drove us to a beautiful vineyard ARBNB.

Over the next few days they arranged visits to wineries, private visits to meet owners to go behind the scenes and see them at work. They arranged a special. 7 course birthday dinner that was bucket list worthy. They are more than just a transportation company. They will tell you the history of each winery, they will educate you about the area. We went to a cliffside Bar Bura that was incredible. Everyone else has to take a special shuttle at Cuatro Cuatros, but not Boca Roja. They are the only third party allowed to drive up to the cliff bar.

Should you decide to take a wine adventure in up an coming Valle de Guadalupe, you won’t be disappointed with Boca Roja.

Wine, food, dogs, pigs, goats, views, and so much more!
We recently returned from our first trip to Valle de Guadalupe with Boca Roja. It was just my wife and I, along with our phenomenal guide Andres, as well as the owner Tim and his dog Loki. I knew it would be a cool experience, but I seriously had no idea how incredible it would be. Our eyes are opened to “the Valle.” Between Andres incredible knowledge of the region and its wines, and Tim’s access to the coolest spots based on his strong relationships in the area, and of course Loki’s charming demeanor...well, needless to say we’re hooked. The wines and the winery staff were amazing, the food was 5-star across the board. If you’re thinking to yourself, “Do we want to commit? Is it worth the cost?” Just do it. It is absolutely worth it. We will most definitely be back, and will likely bring more friends to see what our hype is all about.
