          Best day ever!
We had the best day wine tasting in the Guadalupe valley with Eugenia as our guide. We went to 4 very different wineries and dinner at the end. We learned so much about Mexican wine and the area of Ensenada. We felt completely safe and taken care of. Honestly it’s one of my favorite days ever! Thank you Eugenia!

          Amazing trip
It was an amazing experience we had a driver with so much information our original tasting was canceled for a last minute emergency so she took us to a nice Vinyard in the valle and on the way to the cheese cave she managed to still get us in for our original tasting with my favorite winery in ojos negros. The cheese was amazing as always The wine was perfect. I left with 2 blocks of cheese and 10 bottles of wine. 10/10 I always book this tour.

We had an amazing time! We visited so many beautiful wineries and our driver, Sergio, was kind and informative! Valle de Guadalupe is stunning, up-and-coming, and truly a beautiful location for great wine.

          Beautiful wineries and fantastic wine.
Eugenia provided us a fantastic tour of Guadeloupe Valley. She took us to a mixture of boutique and larger wineries so we could get a perspective of the breadth of offerings. We highly recommend her and are setting up another tour in August with her.

Wine Route Loyalist - 3rd timer!
I love The Wine Route’s tours. This is my third time using their service to tour across the Guadalupe Valley and its just as great and special as the previous times. Their whole team of operations offered great service in all aspects - from Eugenia’s communication of logistics/booking/cost breakdowns, to Leopoldo’s prompt and flexible shuttling from the Tijuana border to our AirBnb, to Jorge our tour guide providing us excellent and informative details behind each vineyard we visited. Special kudos to Jorge for arranging a wine tasting session in the VIP room at Casta de Vinos. Overall, a great experience, great value, a very responsive and flexible team that do all they can to make you feel welcomed in VdG and make you wanna come back to visit all 200 wineries! Thank you

Had a really nice time with our excellent guide Jorge. Born and raised in Ensenada he had answers to all our questions. Four stops with very nice wine, all different and very interesting!

Outstanding Option to Tour Ensenada area Wineries
People who know me know I never write superlative reviews, but this is one of those rare exceptions. I was celebrating my 60th birthday and retirement with more than a dozen of my friends and family via cruise ship and wanted a truly memorable experience, within my budget and limited time in port, Eugenia, the owner arranged everything, and it fit our needs to a tee. Even though we ended up only being 5 on the tour, Eugenia made us feel always like their most important client. She listened to my preferences and designed a tour just for us. The van and driver were top-notch and Eugenia's knowledge and passion for the wines in the region cannot be denied. The wines sampled were superb as was her selection for lunch. You simply cannot do best for a personalized tour of this region.

          Best tour of Valle
We did not expect a personalized experience when we booked this wine tour, but that’s what it was from the beginning. Every winery was unique and got better as the day progressed. But it wasn’t just about the wine…. It was about the food too. The wine experience was also high on the agenda as very winery was unique architecturally and as a wine experience. One winery even had a tractor ride and subterranean exhibition of the wine process. The tour progressed to a great winery that had great taste in wine , food and architecture. But it culminated in the best wine in the Valle de Guadalupe with insight in the wine from the warm and inviting owners. Although, this was the only wine in Valle that had California caliber wine. From the white wine to the the red, they were Great!!! All said and done I see myself taking this tour again as we expected to go to a restaurant we had made reservations for, but Eugenia (our tour guide) had recommended a different restaurant and we enjoyed it immensely. I highly recommend this tour! See you guys again. Jorge

          Best Guadalupe Wine Tour!
Absolutely loved our time with the Wine Route! We ended up using this tour company for two days, day 1 was a private tour, and day 2 was with a big group. I couldn’t have asked for a better wine tour experience in Guadalupe! Their tour guides speak both English and Spanish so you can select your preference when booking. Luigi and Eugenia are absolutely wonderful, very knowledgeable about the area, and so fun the spend the day with! They were even able to set us up with a driver to pick us up from the border and take us to our hotel in Guadalupe. HIGHLY recommend this tour company; I definitely plan on using them again!

          Our best wine tasting experience!
Luigi was friendly, knowledgeable and patient. He went above and beyond by arranging a few VIP experiences. We toured a cave under one winery, had a personalized experience with a sommelier, and received crystal wine glasses as gifts. We felt safe and in good hands with Luigi as our driver and tour guide. Not to mention, Luigi took over 60 photos throughout the day and sent them to us afterward. We’ll always remember this tour of Valle de Guadalupe. Thank you!

          Guadalupe Valley Wine Tour
Highly recommend this wine tour if you’re visiting the Valle de Guadalupe. Our tour guide picked us up at our Airbnb in Ensenada and took us to four preselected wineries. She was very knowledgeable about the valley and all the wineries we went to were great! Highly recommend if you’re staying in Ensenada for the weekend!

          Best Time Ever!
We had such a great time on the tour! From the start, they were super accommodating. I had a lot of questions about the process and they were super responsive. We were able to build our own tour with input from them. We had a couple vineyards in mind, and they took everything from there - booking reservations when needed and getting a few other vineyards booked. Our guide was super organized and very knowledgeable. She created the perfect itinerary for us and made sure to give us plenty of time at each location. I highly recommend booking The Wine Route!

For cruises, the pick up point was across the main street at the Riviera Cultural Center which was about a 10 minute walk from the cruise ship and easy to get to. Our tour guide was Jorge and he was great! We got a confirmation text the day of from him, and once we met at the cultural center we started with a small walk through tour there. We were a smaller group of 4 but we were driven back and forth in a private minivan, so there was plenty of space and we were comfortable all throughout the drive. There were also some snacks and water prepared for us. Jorge was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the history of Ensenada during our tour.

We had about an hour and half to view the blowhole and then walk around the marketplace to do some shopping and pick up food at the vendor stalls, which was plenty of time. Jorge was very accommodating throughout the whole trip, never rushing us, and also even gave us a few safety tips while we were at the marketplace. He also snapped some pictures of us throughout the tour which he sent over afterwards and was a nice touch. La Bufadora itself was fun to see and even though there were a good number of people there, there was enough space to get to the front and watch up close. Bathrooms closest to the blowhole were 50 cents per person to use. The marketplace has a lot of different vendors and there even is a small animal exhibit that was tucked away towards the end that had panther and lion cubs. Definitely recommend, it was a fun experience!

The guide was easy to understand, friendly, courteous and helpful.
The reason for the 4-star rating was that I made it clear that the people on the trip did not know each other, or even me who organized the trip, and that I needed the guide to hold a sign with my name (or even their company name) on it. He did not, even when I mentioned it to him. He said he wasn't able to make one. My husband took a piece of paper, wrote my name on it, and held it up for others to read. Not his job.
The geyser eruptions are advertised as 100 feet in the air every 20 seconds. That depends on the weather and the time of day. It needs to be windy to make wild waves, and high tide is needed too. When we were there it was a mild, no windy day at high tide. The eruptions were every 5 or 10 minutes and about 30 to 40 feet high. The tour and the guide were good. Was it worth the 45 minute bus ride? Sort of.

Our tour guide Jorge Ruelas was very friendly and accommodating. Not only did he provide excellent service, but he also shared his extensive knowledge of Ensenada’s history. We enjoyed our tour with him from start to finish. We highly recommend him, especially for non-Spanish speakers as he speaks English very well.

This tour is basically a ride from the pick up point to La Bufadora and back. Once you reach the La Bufadora area, you walk through the market place to reach this wondrous natural spectacle. Depending on your interests, you can spend your time marveling over La Bufadora and or spending time at the various eateries and souvenir shops along the marketplace. My wife and I spent about half hour at La Borfadora, watching this natural spectacle and taking pictures. We walked through the marketplace as we were not interested in eating or purchasing souvenirs. Different strokes for different folks.
Our guide Oscar was engaging and knowledgeable. A pleasure to have him take us on this tour! If you take this tour (recommended), ask for him as your guide. We were fortunate as we had a private tour since we were the only participants.
Ways to improve this tour: 1. For cruise tourists, make the meeting point out on the main street from the port with the guide holding a sign. This would be much easier than meeting the guide with the directions given. 2. Expand the tour to include a city tour of Ensenada and the surrounding environs. This would greatly improve the tourist experience. Yes, I would expect an increase in the tour price.

This was a great experience for our family. Our guide, Sam, was amazing! So friendly and professional. Gave us great info about the city, culture, places to eat, etc. At La Bufadora she showed us the best places for food and authentic Mexican handicrafts. I highly recommend this tour with its smaller groups and more personal touch. Ask for Sam and you won’t be disappointed.

Our guide Eugenia was great. She was so friendly, well-informed, and made the experience perfect. She made sure we got there before the crowds came, gave suggestions for the best places to eat, and the most "authentic" souvenir places. I would recommend this tour to everyone!

We were greeted/picked up exactly where we were told to go, once the cruise shipped landed. We walked directly across the street to the Spanish building. Because this was a January tour, it was only my family and it worked out perfectly. We were given special attention, very useful info/tips about Ensenada and its history. We were given as much time as we wanted and a private van/escort around the area. Our tour guide spoke English and Spanish but we decided to mostly speak in Spanish, since we know it as well. Our tour guide had a beautiful accent as well, from Argentina, but it didnt bother me one bit, since I'm familiar with Argentina as well. We had a great time talking about the differences of Mexico, United States and Argentina. It was a very entertaining time.
Our trip was to the bufadora and it didnt disappoint. With her help, it made for a wonderful time. Otherwise, we would have been lost in the mix of crowds and vendors. We ended the trip with a recommendation of a restaurant that ended up being the cherry on top. The seafood at Sabina's was the best I've ever had. Thanks again. Gracias por todo y Dios te bendiga.

The different sceneries on our way to LA Bufadora. You see mountains, the water, the different houses as you go through the town;getting told the history of the places. As well as the flea market, shopping.

We really enjoyed our tour to La Bufadora in Ensenada. It was a more personal way to see the sites with a local guide. Our guide was Omero and he was friendly and described everything along the way. The countryside was beautiful with farms, shops and amazing views on the way to La Bufadora. We got there before the bus tours so it wasn't very crowded and we were able to take some great pictures. Omero was very patient as we shopped for souvenirs.
