          Great time at La Bufadora!
Perfect weather, the drive to the Bufadora was relaxed and very informative. Our Guide, Eugenia, was amazing. She picked us up early as we were all at the meeting spot already. The personal tour and route was narrated by her and her experience living in the area, knowing the culture, people and business of the area. She was fantastic! The Bufadora was in full display and very active. Such a great time was had. Shopping, eating and exploring the area on our own while heading back to the parking area was a blast. Highly recommend this tour!

          Tour to La Bufanda
Jorge was awesome and just a wonderful nice person all around. He stayed near me and my friend as we were lucky to have a small intimate group and he stayed attentive to us the entire time.

          Amazing trip
It was an amazing experience we had a driver with so much information our original tasting was canceled for a last minute emergency so she took us to a nice Vinyard in the valle and on the way to the cheese cave she managed to still get us in for our original tasting with my favorite winery in ojos negros. The cheese was amazing as always The wine was perfect. I left with 2 blocks of cheese and 10 bottles of wine. 10/10 I always book this tour.

Wine Route Loyalist - 3rd timer!
I love The Wine Route’s tours. This is my third time using their service to tour across the Guadalupe Valley and its just as great and special as the previous times. Their whole team of operations offered great service in all aspects - from Eugenia’s communication of logistics/booking/cost breakdowns, to Leopoldo’s prompt and flexible shuttling from the Tijuana border to our AirBnb, to Jorge our tour guide providing us excellent and informative details behind each vineyard we visited. Special kudos to Jorge for arranging a wine tasting session in the VIP room at Casta de Vinos. Overall, a great experience, great value, a very responsive and flexible team that do all they can to make you feel welcomed in VdG and make you wanna come back to visit all 200 wineries! Thank you

          Pretty good
Ensenada Tours The guide was easy to understand, friendly, courteous and helpful. The reason for the 4-star rating was that I made it clear that the people on the trip did not know each other, or even me who organized the trip, and that I needed the guide to hold a sign with my name (or even their company name) on it. He did not, even when I mentioned it to him. He said he wasn't able to make one. My husband took a piece of paper, wrote my name on it, and held it up for others to read. Not his job. The geyser eruptions are advertised as 100 feet in the air every 20 seconds. That depends on the weather and the time of day. It needs to be windy to make wild waves, and high tide is needed too. When we were there it was a mild, no windy day at high tide. The eruptions were every 5 or 10 minutes and about 30 to 40 feet high. The tour and the guide were good. Was it worth the 45 minute bus ride? Sort of.

No going to the trip at all but charge us full amount of money
We have just finished our cruise (Carnival Miracle). We booked a trip via Tripadvisor for La Bufadora Tour in Baja California (the day of the trip was 12/30/2023 Saturday). However, at around 7:30am in the morning on that day, the Captain announced that unfavorable sea conditions (high wave) prevented us from safely docking in Ensenada that morning, and we sent message to inform Eugenia (our tour guide) regarding that immediately. The trip started at 10am on 12/30/2023. We total 6 people, did not go to the trip at all on that day, and request The Wine Route to give us the refund to us. It is unfair to charge us the full amount of money because we did not go to the trip at all. Thank you!

Outstanding Option to Tour Ensenada area Wineries
People who know me know I never write superlative reviews, but this is one of those rare exceptions. I was celebrating my 60th birthday and retirement with more than a dozen of my friends and family via cruise ship and wanted a truly memorable experience, within my budget and limited time in port, Eugenia, the owner arranged everything, and it fit our needs to a tee. Even though we ended up only being 5 on the tour, Eugenia made us feel always like their most important client. She listened to my preferences and designed a tour just for us. The van and driver were top-notch and Eugenia's knowledge and passion for the wines in the region cannot be denied. The wines sampled were superb as was her selection for lunch. You simply cannot do best for a personalized tour of this region.

          La Bufadora Tour with Jorge
Jorge was a great and friendly guide that helped us to tour the La Bufadora and the Cultural center of Ensenada. He talked a lot about Mexican culture and history. Looking forward to be in his tour again next time!

          Just ok
We were disappointed with our visit to this landmark. The ocean views were nice but it was actually hard to see the blow hole from above. The sellers you walk through to get to the blow hole were very aggressive. I appreciate that they are making a living but unfortunately it did take away from the overall experience.

          The Best of La Bufadora
Our tour with Eugenia to La Bufadora from the cruise ship pier area was Excellent. We called her before we left and she confirmed directions and set our minds at ease to get to the meeting place. She and the driver were so hospitable and informative. The tour was a delight because of them! We enjoyed the snacks as well and narration both going to the site and back to the ship. It was fun to interact with the vendors and have their samples of drinks and candies. Eugenia's pointers about negotiating were also helpful. I would highly recommend any of the tours from The Wine Route and hope to go with them again in the future.

          Great service equals great memories!
The trip was well worth it. Our tour guide Eugenia was very friendly and so knowledgeable about Ensenada and the La Bufordora. She was very easy to understand, spoke very good English and Spanish to accommodate everyone. Seeing the La Bufodora geyser was a memorable experience! The shuttle bus was air conditioned and they provided water and a snack. Would definitely recommend this tour. The price was great also!

          TOURIST TRAP
The epitome of a tourist trap! The blowhole itself is a mildly interesting natural feature, but just watch a video online and you get the picture. To get to it you have to pass dozens and dozens of shops selling the same junk and pestering the #### out of you.

          Best tour of Valle
We did not expect a personalized experience when we booked this wine tour, but that’s what it was from the beginning. Every winery was unique and got better as the day progressed. But it wasn’t just about the wine…. It was about the food too. The wine experience was also high on the agenda as very winery was unique architecturally and as a wine experience. One winery even had a tractor ride and subterranean exhibition of the wine process. The tour progressed to a great winery that had great taste in wine , food and architecture. But it culminated in the best wine in the Valle de Guadalupe with insight in the wine from the warm and inviting owners. Although, this was the only wine in Valle that had California caliber wine. From the white wine to the the red, they were Great!!! All said and done I see myself taking this tour again as we expected to go to a restaurant we had made reservations for, but Eugenia (our tour guide) had recommended a different restaurant and we enjoyed it immensely. I highly recommend this tour! See you guys again. Jorge

Our tour guide, Luigi, was truly amazing. My family took this trip as way to get acquainted with the local attractions (vineyards and tasting rooms) of the Valle de Guadalupe. The tour guide chose a good selection of vineyards/tasting rooms/wineries to take us and wrapped up the day at a delicious restaurant. Some were small and family owned, some with out of this world architecture. More importantly, the wines were outstanding! It is no secret that our tour guide is well known and respected amongst the places we visited- it made all the difference in our experience. It was worth every peso, and I will be booking additional tours in the future!

In 2019 I experienced this tour for the first time! It was truly a magnificent tour! Due to my former experience, my friends and I decided to re-book this tour during the Memorial Day weekend 2021. Our group of friends all purchased the Wine tour and were very pleased w the tour! Our tour guide, Luigi, picked us up from our Airbnb on time and greeted us w smiles, clean van, and snacks for us all. We were guided through several different wineries and were able to purchase wine tastings on the spot... the wines were all so delicious it was hard to choose which ones to purchase. Our tour guide Luigi provided historical background of the winery area which was highly appreciated. We really felt as if Luigi was part of our group, as we enjoyed the all day tour that lasted until 7pm. I was so impressed this time around we visited completely different wineries compared to the first time. I highly recommend them as they really know the history of the wineries, and the the best wineries to take you to enjoy tastings!! 10 stars out of 10 stars!!!

My wife and I had longed to tour Guadalupe Valley ever since watching the Rick Bayless TV program spotlighting Baja wines and cuisine. We finally had a chance during a stopover in Ensenada on a cruise. I highly recommend The Wine Route as they were reasonably priced for a private tour and our guide Eugenia was both knowledgable and very accommodating throughout, adding an extra winery visit because our schedule allowed it. It was truly a wonderful time and we were able to bring home some lovely bottles. The tour focused on smaller producers and because we visited mid-week we were often the only people at the tasting room which made for an even more intimate experience. Because of all the rain, the valley was also a resplendent green which added to the spring beauty of the experience.

Eugenia and Luigi went above and beyond to create an exceptional experience for us.
Past being professional, they were just super fun to spend the day with.
Starting with prompt pick-up in a clean and comfortable shuttle mini-van,
Eugenia selected many great wineries for us to visit. It was a perfect day tour.
        Highly recommended!

This was my first time visiting Valle De Guadalupe, and everything I read said to forget about finding an Uber down there and go with a private driver or tour. This tour had such great reviews I decided to for it and I'm sure glad I did! Eugenia picked us up from our hotel and took us to 5 different spots. She was so sweet, very informative, and genuinely seemed to enjoy her job. Everywhere we went she was greeted warmly and all of her recommendations were spot on. The best part was visiting Misiones De California - a very small boutique winery that also produces olive oil, tapenade, and honey. We got to meet the owner, who personally showed us around, explained his processes, showed us his equipment and compost pile, and conducted our tasting. We had an amazing time and will definitely be booking this tour again on our next trip down. If you have any doubts - just do it! You won't regret it!

Our guide was kind, attentive and took us to some hidden gems! Instead of taking us to the more commercial, mainstream wineries, they took us to some boutique wineries where we learnt about wine making and were able to taste some incredible wines. We also had an amazing lunch at Mixtura, the restaurant they recommended where they served BajaMed food. Highly recommend this tour!

First visit to Guadalupe wine region. The driver and accompanying guide provided wine tasting at four different wineries ranging from smaller boutique to larger, most popular regional brands. Cost was very reasonable and hosts were very friendly as well as knowledgeable.

Sam took us on an amazing tour of selected wineries in the Valle de Guadalupe. Each winery was distinct and different. Each one had their own charm. Of particular interest for my wife and I was the Misiones de California where we got to sit with the winemaker and learn their passions and the art and science of their work. I highly recommend spending some time with them.
Another standout amongst all of the great choices was the Closest de Tres Cantos winery which has adopted an all green sustains approach to the winery. The architecture is amazing and utilizes repurposed pieces as well as environmentally friendly techniques. We had the honor of having a conversation and some wine with the owners who were amazing people in their own right and doing some interesting development work in the region.

Sam had great knowledge and attention to details in her service. I could not have asked for a better wine tour experience. It exceeded my expectations. Thank you so much! We bought a lot of wine and we WILL be back.

Fabulous experience! Coordinated with Eugenia ahead of time and she created a great customized itinerary for us based off of our tastes, some recommendations, and suggestions of her own. Communication was easy. Ricardo was our driver and he was wonderful! Very knowledgeable, knew the roads well, took great care of us, made sure we were on time for our scheduled activities, and provided friendly service throughout the day. Would highly recommend to anyone coming to Valle de Guadalupe. Our experience would not have been the same had we driven ourselves around. Booking this tour allowed us more freedom and allowed for more fun. 10/10!
